Nice place their weekend gets packed here and the concept of pay 2000 for unlimited is for both men and women and there is no stag entry which doesn’t effect a fellowship inside . Their curry leaf fish fry and fish and chips was amazing to the core and must try their Samosas. Service is good but when packed still they give you the best
It's a very pretty place with such a classy ambience. On weekends it gets pretty crowded it's fun but sometimes a little overwhelming when there is absolutely no place to move! Itll be awesome when you stop entry when you know it's time people might have to walk over people! But otherwise their unlimited offer is the highlight! Imagine 2k for any booze (just to be clear, I'm not much of a drinker)! So where would y'all be partying this weekend?

Went here on a Saturday night to chill with a bunch of friends. We all enjoyed thoroughly!
They have a weekend offer where one has to pay Rs. 2000 for unlimited liquor starting from 10pm. The best part is, while not all spirits are part of this offer, the spirits that they serve are not the usual cheap ones. They have brands like Chivas, Jacob's Creek, Absolut etc on offer, which is great.
As expected the place is fully packed on a Saturday night and if you're lucky you might bump into some of Chennai's famous people here. It's a super classy and elegant place so the crowd it attracts is very decent even on weekends. They are very strict with entry. Men and women both need to pay the 2000 for entry and stag entry is not allowed.
I only had one complaint that, when we asked for a table(that we had reserved much earlier) they took too long to respond and point us to our table. We had already finished our first round of drinks by the time they seated us. This was a little bit of a bummer.
The music was great throughout. Initially it's quieter but as the crowd starts pouring in, it gets louder and more groovy. We had lots of fun dancing all night.
All in all, definitely recommend this place for those who want a good night out with friends and want their money's worth of liquor.

So they have this unlimited package on Saturday nights post 9pm. The party goes on till around 3am.
So the offer is unlimited premium liquor and bar nibbles for ₹2000 nett. Which is definitely a steal considering they have Chivas, Absolut and so on. They serve Jacob’s creek both red and white. But the beer is domestic. The bar nibbles are usually cashews and nachos.
Considering it’s a cigar lounge, they do have a display of cigars made by ITC. The bar gets really crowded after 12, and it’s a hassle getting a drink cause the bar counter is packed. And coming to the music, so they started by playing house music, then shifted to commercial and hip-hop. Post 2 am they started playing techno. Would honestly prefer if they stuck to one genre! Preferably house or techno.
And the main thing to note is that the last order for drinks is at 2am. So make sure you keep that in mind.

The best thing about the place is the Friday and Saturday night offer of the unlimited 2k and 4K package. Another exceptional thing is post 11 pm after playing some commercial music the two DJs play some amazing Techno music and at request will oblige to commercial music if it is not a Techno music night!!! DJ Mane in particular is a hidden talent in chennai !!. In a place like chennai and with such nice ambience it is very rare you find good Techno music and this place is the best when it comes to that. Just about the right crowd and perfect ambience. The music that is played is already decided a day before e.g Techno, commercial etc so before you chose to go to cheroot you ll already have an idea and case you are not one of those ppl who enjoys Techno music, I suggest before walking in u check in what music night it is and then chose to spend your money. If your not a Techno music kind of person , instead of asking the DJ to change the music chennai is filled With so many commercial places that play commercial music you can just head to them instead. I love this place! Probably the only luxurious pub in Chennai.. The bottomless beverage deal they offer is definitely value for money. But the best thing about this place is the music.. DJ Man'e kills it everytime.. He is very professional but listens to all our requests. Me and my friends always make sure that he is playing before we go!
Love Cheroot for not only its varied selection of drinks but also its ambience, music and food! Music played is always susceptible to the crowd and vibe. Cheroot is my go to restobar for weekends these days owing to their unlimited drinks offer!

I spent my last Saturday at this place and guess what? I had the most amazing time. Service was prompt and friendly. They have deal for 2000 bucks where you can have unlimited drinks. Drinks they have for this deal are wonderful though there are t&c. Worth the money and time. And ambiance is super cozy. Altogether my experience is great and I would definitely recommend my friends to visit this place.

I have no words for this place!! Par excellent. The staff are very friendly, especially mounika. She can make great drinks! Especially the mamia tailor. Loved the experience. Complimentary snacks include nuts and some finger food which are great. I will definitely go again.
Probably the best place to hang around during the weekend night life. Brilliant ambience. Be it alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage you'll love the time spent here with friends or family. The service was also fantastic.

A true masterpiece amongst the many so called cigar lounges I visited in the recent past! Exquisitely crafted crystal adorned the wood and glass interiored lounge..The crystal like chandeliers added an element of lustre to the entire place. Importantly, the malt collection from the Highlands and lowlands is worthy of mention..Although, the show case containing really exclusive and rare single malts which was visible right upon entering the place, didn't seem intimidating at all! Bar tenders were attentive and courteous to a fault, which made the whole experience truly memorable! The annexe, somewhat like an anteroom catering to smokers was most welcome! Finally, to sum it all up, the bar glittered!

Looking for a uptown classy lounge to unwind and sip on some great alcohol, then look no beyond this place!
Extremely classy interiors with some great music and fantastic choice of alcohol! Limited seating capacity but that adds to the places exclusivity factor! You don't have someone overhearing you from the next table! The DJ was playing some fabulous mixes, however for a place like this I felt the mix could have been more jazz based as opposed to pop and club music! Ambience cannot be described, it just has to be experienced!
Since we landed up with the intention of just drinking, we only had alcohol... Budweiser, amtel for beers. Long island and apple mojito were the other cock and mock tails! The cocktails and mock tails were perfect... The LIT seemed a bit too light but for a change it was better than the heavy hitting LIT's i've had in most of the places at chennai! The apple mojito was a beautiful mix of apple with mint and gave a refreshing feel at 2 in the nyt! Pleasantly we were served with complimentary chips, cashew nuts and ribbon pakodas.
Service is impeccable and matches the standards of a bar located in a 5 star! Prices are extremely reasonable considering some of the obnoxious prices I have paid at shitty places in Chennai and Mahaballipuram! Given my origins of Bangalore, I really find this place value for money but value is a subjective term so as a cautionary note - visit this place if you are okay spending 350-400 per drink on an average!

This is ambience what other 5 star hotels need set as a benchmark. The smoking zone is luxurious in nature. Would be regular there if the desi whiskeys were made available. Very courteous and friendly staff. Need to serve Peshawar food, Ottimo, Nutmeg and Mercarras menu to make it more grand since all these restaurants are in the same roof but this is not welcomed; especially cakes incase of birthdays or surprises.
Had a wonderful experience to spend some time there. Staff behind the counter well versed .good line-up of all the beverages. pampering serve alongs with drinks . The bartender practically went to the chef to the way I wanted. Would like to go to this place again and again . Keep it up ITC !
Celebrated my birthday (October last year) at this lounge in ITC. we had ordered some prawns, fish and Chicken starters. Nothing exceptional about the latter but the prawns were really well cooked. The drinks are amazing here. Ordered the LIIT. It was served in a really long glass and the bartender is not a miser when it comes to the quantity of alcohol! A really potent drink :-) They also brought me a really good birthday cake which i cut at midnight. Definitely going back there.
The servers are really patient and love helping you out with your order.
That night - Friday, they had live music- lovely music and good collection of songs were sung by the duo.
They have a small smoking lounge inside the lounge with nice couches and glass tables. A good place to relax provided you don't mind burning a hole in your pocket.
Chennai has a wonder of its own in the name of ITC Grand Chola and The cheroot malt & Cigar lounge is truly a work of art. From the moment you enter this place you can feel the luxury from the incense candles to the decor. Their Long Island Ice Tea was my favourite and by far the strongest cocktail I've had.

Been here multiple times and the variety and range of liquor is great. We have seen most of the Chennai super Kings players over here. The place is usually full and hence we had to choose the cafe downstairs lot of times as the other bar in ITC is not that great. Great place to have some great conversations with your colleagues. Must try - chip and dip with mint sauce, finger licking good.
Perfect place to have drinks on the rocks with a cigar on the side. A must go for one who doesn't want any mashup during the "drinks break" :-)
Lovely ambiance and fantastic cocktails. You must try the Long Island Iced tea here. It's easily the best LIT I've had in town. Very peaceful and a nice place to catch up on.

Delightful place. The ambiance recalls the elegance of times gone by! I went there for a light lunch. The selection of wines and spirits is good. The service was efficient and discreet. The attached smoking room is a bonus for smokers.
The food menu, though, could do with a bit of improvement while still keeping it within the ambit of 'bar food'. The menu card showed 'fritters' as one of the starters. They turned out to be assorted bhajjis!
I went there during lunch time. I want to go back there soon to do a pre-dinner.

Am so very glad that there is something like this in Chennai. Went there on an invitation from a friend who works there at ITC. I had a terrible week and what else I can ask for other than some hard liquor ? Am a huge Scotch / Whiskey lover and developed the taste over the years right from tasting beginners Blended whiskies to tasting the most complex serious drinker's Singe Malt. So trust me - this place got all the things needed to improve your Whiskey tasting skills.
They gotta decent collection of Whiskeys right from 12, 14, 15 all the way to 40 yo and the Drink menu is nicely categorized by Regions and not by brand / year - which is good. I wish in the coming days they offer Whiskeys in Flights ( it's a great way to sample 3 or 4 varieties of 1 ounce pours of your favorite or ones you've never tried like the single Malts, bourbons, Ryes, Irish Whiskeys, Carribean casks ones , Japanese versions. Management guys, you really need to consider this ! This will encourage more ppl. to drink and develop some serious Malt culture in Chennai.
I didn't quite like their food pairings - they had some spicy ones which doesn't go well with any of d whiskeys. I prefer to see more Cheese platters, Dark chocolates, pub mix in the future.

Luxury, finesse and elite all rolled upto one is the ITC Cheroot. Right from the time I walked in till I left, the service was impeccable.
4 variety of cigars on order, also for cigarettes they have only ITC brands so no Marlboro. Choicest options in single malts & blended Scotch whiskies ranging from Jameson to Jack to Glennlivet to Taliskers. Efficiently separated into respective categories as well. Food options are highly limited but whatever they have is delicious n prepared fresh with utmost care.

Went back to Tranquebar and stopped by Cheroot for a nightcap. Lovely team and surprisingly busy for 11pm on a Wednesday- we got the last seat in the house. Great selection of malts and enjoy having in a Glencairn glass (haven't seen them in India before!)

The unique thing about this bar is its cigar menu! All sorts of worldly cigars are available and this I have not seen anywhere!
Mostly frequented by expats barring a few locals and business travellers, the Cheroot Malt and Cigar bar provides some great cocktails and single malts. Beer as usual is restricted to KF and with special requests you could land a corona.
But this is a one-off place in Chennai where you can sit back and enjoy a few drinks and that special cigar. And yes, they have a special smoking room which is again one of its kind.
If you have the bucks, do come here and enjoy your cigar with a drink! A nice place for sure.

Cheroot at the Grand Chola was a great foodie experience. Being a non drinker, I didn't try out their signature beverages. But my friends who accompanied me were happy with what was on offer. Their mocktails were good too. The food they served was a gastronomical delight. Their chicken tikka, fish tikka, madras chicken fry and their paneer starters were mouth watering. The chicken and fish just melted in our mouth.
The ambience is really good. The service was stupendous. We had a great time over there.
It's ITC Obviously.. Expensive yet makes you feel like you're in a palace... Try the silver sauna tequila with salsa shots, worth every dime.

On the liquor part, everything premium is available here. My friend told me to try the Absinthe and believe me it is the best drink over there. Its a Must try. Other than that they have very good range of cocktails, which were pretty good.
Prices are decent, as a five star should charge, but its worth it.
This is The Place to have a drink after an busy day. Very well designed and to make it the best place for smoker have an in house smoking room as well. They also sell the best cigars of the world apart from the best alcohol of the world.
This place is well designed with upper class people in mind. I visited this place only once the ambiance is quite impeccable with rich artifices around. the main advantage of this place is the smoking area adjacent to it so there is not much walking. Food here is very gud especially madras chicken and south indian platter. This bar servers only foreign and premium liquor. We had ABSENTINE an 70 % alcohol drink the way they prepared the drink itself is very attractive. They used to pour the drink over the brown sugar and then lit it up and let the brown sugar to mix along with the drink and add coll water to it. The have gud range of cigars also which you can try.

Attentive staff with good sense of humour and knowledge, a (i was told) growing selection of liquor (you can get some great brands - aperol, rammazotti) and the chance to have a good cocktail made to your tastes (off the menu!). I'm not a whisky drinker, but they seem to have a decent selection of whisky too.. Loved every minute.
We were staying at Grand chola and we used to visit only the residential lounge. I wanted my friends from Malaysia to have a look at this lounge and they were really stunned.
First the service part, the waiters there explained us about different kinds of cigars and made us choose one. It was a nice experience for me to have a cigar with a beer, though I have heard that cigars go well with dark spirits and wine.

I simply love the place. The ambiance here is one of the best in Chennai. It is a great place for a relaxing evening. The choice of cigars and drinks are simply mind boggling. They have great wine selection, great malts from all over the world. The choice of malts from Japan was amazing. The service is another area which truly surprised me.
The service people are always attentive without being a disturbance to us. The lighting is so relaxing and immediately helps relax us into the comfortable chairs here. The place is a quiet place so being boisterous may not help the others. The music is very very low and nice.
The pricing is on the high-end. Ordering a peg of a good malt can set you back by a few thousand rupees and the pricing is for small (small pegs). Wine choices are from all over the world and not cheap but people who come here do not look at the price and order. Truly a place where one can take an important client or girl friends. One of the classiest bar that I have been to.
