I popped by this place one weekday for a late beer and was pleasantly surprised at how chilled out the place was. I had a long day and their upbeat attitudes were most welcome. It's a spacious sports bar with a focus on cricket, a great place to relax and watch some matches with screens everywhere. The hotel complex houses other cafes and restaurants that are equally nice to hang out at. I got a cricket ball as a souvenir and that was very cool. Until next time, cheers.

Willows at Westin was a great Saturday night out. After shopping for a bit at Phoenix, we headed there for some food and drinks. The ambience is great and service is friendly. We ordered sliders with sweet potato, spring rolls and the gardenia pizza along with some non veg short eats. The sliders tasted great with a satisfying crunch and subtle dressing. The spring rolls are crisp with a tangy sauce side. The pizza was well made with oodles of cheese that was fresh and a crisp base baked to perfection. The music selection was great with a throwback to 2000s pop and hip hop. It’s a great place to hang out if you’re looking for something more mellow than the pubs.

Willows in Westin is a sports themed bristo bar. The ambience very appealing and worth visiting with your gang. This being in 5 start property, the prices are pretty high but there are offers on nearbuy for this place and they do accept zomato gold. Check with restaurant for the happy hours too. We were here in group of two during off peak hour for a quick meet. The experience was awesome due to the collection of liquor they got and their prompt service.

Experience a world class Chennai hotel when you book with starwood at the westin chennai.It is 10 storied five-star hotel with large room good resturent and the food at the restaurant is delicious. Enjoyed the ambiance. Terrible music and average platters. But the best Bloody Mary I've had. Served in a monstrous barrel glass,the mix of vodka, Tomato juice and hot sauce was perfect. All the flavors came through without any one overpowering the others. Will go back for this anytime.

Last night went for the csk vs srh match with my friend. Had the beers which was really great along with cheeselings and friend peanuts it was fresh and tasty. Kapur the bar manager was ensuring that the guests were having a nice time. We ordered the chetinad pepper chicken and it was spicy, juicy with a good hint of pepper. Just loved it. Staffs were really friendly And polite. Ambience was amazing as expected. As csk won the match were offered shots on the House. It was amazing. Would love come back there again.....

There are only a few sports bar that sticks to their original theme and willows is one of those places. They are very true to what they are and do not aspire to be anything that they are not. The boys there are very sincere and thoughtful . Victor has a lot of flair and passion in making cocktails which is very visible once you get him talking. And true to the previous line, the cocktails are simplistic and flavorful. Must go place if you're around the place.

The Manager didn't allow us inside for wearing sandals, but many were in Slippers and the reason they gave was they're Hotel guests..There is no mention of Dress codes in Terms and conditions. The person was rude and looks you down when you say you're a Zomato Gold Member and after a heated argument we're allowed to have a drink

Gone for a zomato gold offer. But cost is too high. But nice. You should never worry about the bill before you enter here. But validate your bill before payment. Being a zomato gold member, they are missing zomato offers during billing. You have to verify and ask them to correct.

Service time can be improved. And staff can be little proactive. On wednesday evening having not many tables, they can serve customers better and quickly. But they are very slow and not much customer friendly. Overall its an average experience only. Not very much satisfied.

Went back again because of the positive experience last week. This time it was terrible. They don’t serve Kingfisher if you go there on a deal although the deal says it’s Kingfisher or British empire. How do I know. Simple. When asked if Kingfisher was available they said yes and when queried why another person said it wasn’t available there was no reply. Now I know why it’s quiet for a Friday evening. Good ethics may help shore up footfall. The beer wasn’t cold and the nachos and wood fired margarita pizza were all right.

Reached here on a Saturday night at 9 pm. The place was almost empty save for a couple of tables. The music was really depressing, almost like it would've gone unnoticed had they turned it off. Food was mediocre. We had ordered LIIT (which tasted decent) and Old Fashioned which tasted so bad it was inedible. Decided to check out this placed based on the ratings and reviews, and I must say we were sorely disappointed.

It is a little pricey, but by far the best drinks (cocktails) I've had in Chennai! Ambience (and price) is more suited for the corporates, but honestly, the drinks and service make up for it. It is a pretty cool place for Chennai- I love this place for its post-party scene (post 11 pm especially on Fridays). Put your dancing shoes on before, bring some friends- dance your mood out and get drinks on happy hours. Yes - the crowd is good too (mostly people who want to enjoy the music and dance). One advice-this place only is good for finger food. Don't expect proper main-course especially people who like their food spicy. ;)

I visited Willows with Zomato gold offer. The time was around 10PM. Unfortunately the staff was not very attentive and took lot of time to get the drinks. The ambience was good since the DJ played some good songs. Overall suggestion would be to improve the customer service. Else this is a great hangout place with lots of space.

I went with my brother meeting after 9 years and meet was really great. The food was delicious and drinks were amazing. I highly recommend to all the people who are reading this review. Me and my friends come here all the time with this being one of the few bars open late into the night in the locality. But even if they had competition, I'm pretty sure I'd choose this place because of the excellent service by Gavin. He's nice af and we were constantly supplied with peanuts and cheeselings as well as any of the orders that we placed (almost immediately that too). Will 10/10 visit again.

So i was in chennai for a couple of days to meet a few friends. They suggested we go to Willows as we were told they had great offers and were screening the IPL match as well. It was definitely the right choice to head there as not only the overall hospitality and vibe was great (Thanks to our server, Gavin) but the amazing cocktails made it an even better experience (definitely try the Whiskey Sour).

One of the best, cozy, stylish resto bars of Chennai. Ambience has minimal lighting appropriate for a resto bar. They have all kinds of liquors. We ordered fish tikka, chicken peeper fry. Tikka was out of world, yet pepper chicken could have been more spicy. 3 rounds of absolute vodka, one serving of Australian wine along with food cost INR 4K. Quick service.

May it be a date or an office outing or a friends reunion, this place is just awesome. This has been my customary hangout place for almost 2 years. Drinks are pretty reasonable during happy hours and they offer special rates on drink during IPLs. They have a huge collection of liquor and you will get any liquor that other places have run out of. Food menu has a wide array of dishes. Thin Crust pizza is a must try. Nachos are so yummy that I order it every single time. Serving staff is very friendly and they will become your friends after a few visits. DJs are only on Saturdays mostly but the music in general is good. For people who prefer adult way of drinking, this place is a bliss and for people who want to have a regular club experience, Saturday is the day. Ambience is spectacular. P.S. If you have an interesting story to share with a friend, you now know where to go.

Well,we ended up here at 12 am on a weekday, tired from our harrowing and worst experience at The Dome,Le Royal Meridien and this place changed things for the better,and how!! Our orders were few beers and they didn't have many beers in thier menu, we opted for Heineken and they had a combo offer for 3 Heineken pints together and we decided to opt that. The whole ambience and the place itself was very welcoming,and it was a welcome change for us. We ordered the chicken wings in bbq sauce as a side and it was so good,we had a repeat order of the same. A few beers again and it was party. Sadly,that being a weekday and having to go to work tomorrow, couldn't stay longer. In all, I haven't been to many late-night bars in the city and this is one of the best bars I've been to in the city. The fact that they're open till 2 am is a huge plus and the food is good too!! Must try for all those in search of good places that serve alcohol a bit late into the night and this being Chennai, that's a rarity. Highly recommended.

Last night went for the csk vs srh match with my friend. Had the beers which was really great along with cheeselings and friend peanuts it was fresh and tasty. Kapur the bar manager was ensuring that the guests were having a nice time. We ordered the chetinad pepper chicken and it was spicy, juicy with a good hint of pepper. Just loved it. Staffs were really friendly And polite. Ambience was amazing as expected. As csk won the match were offered shots on the House. It was amazing. Would love come back there again.....

Willow's is situated at the 1st floor of westin. It's a sports bar nd the place is quite big. During weekend there is place to dance to the tunes of the dj. Tracks played by the dj is really amazing. A special mention to Mr Mohan nd Mr Saravanan the bartenders here. These guys service are amazing nd take care of u very well. The food here is also really good. The best part of willow's is the happy hours. The best place for happy hours, that too after 12 pm. I have been here many times but there not a single point which I can complain. The best time to be here is on Friday nd Saturday between 11pm to 1am (happy hours). Cheers!!! Even now this a happening place.... This place is open till 2 am. Weekends are awesome here nd staff here are very polite... Never get bored of this place.. if I need to party post 12 we can definitely drop in here

Just l visit this place with my friends for one of my friend birthday celebration here at willows. It's become my regular place now because of the good price and liquor choices on the surrounding( specifically there late night one plus one deal is worth). I Suggest you guys to try their crafted cocktail is fantastic. All those service people are so friendly and serves us with smiling face always specially mr.mohan surprise us with special cocktail shots every time, and mr.saravanan, mr.joseph all time cool guys just keep up the good work guys. And don't forget to try their pepper fry chicken and podi idly along with your drink. Over all just a nice place to hand up with your friends.

Pathetic food & service. Wok tossed lobster was some cornflour coated unknown thing in soya sauce. Next ordered for braised lamb. Requested for roti or garlic bread. Waiter said not possible! Lamb is over dosed with salt & stringy. Couldn't finish it. Cocktail doubt any alcohol in it. Sorry but I am not coming back. Our wedding anniversary dinner thanks to Westin totally spoilt.

One of the finest bar in Chennai i have been to,"Willows". Its situated inside the Famous Westin Chennai Hotel.They have given this place a Cricket themed looks.Exquisite decor.Its remains open till 2 am unlike others pubs and restaurants in Chennai.DJ and Live streaming is available. You can dance if you want. The thing which took my attention is the menu board placed at the entrance ,offering 10 shots for 1000 bucks.I thought it would be served in plain odd glasses but something else came as a surprise.They gave list of shots written on a miniature wooden bat and all where of different flavor. They substituted the typical shots glasses with test tube,Plastic syringe,clay pot,terracotta pot and flask.One word came out of mouth Waaaoo!!!.Accomplishments were roasted butter peanuts and nachos. Chicken briyani was scrumptious. Cooked very well. Five out of Five.Quantity was less but quality supplanted that. Compliment for staffs.They were very friendly.They know how to manage customers.Cheers for them!!!!. Had a great experience.This place is again open after the liquor ban is abolished.Must visit place...

But they could check if the seasoning that they left on the table had filling in it ? . Great place and the drinks are very reasonably priced during the happy hours. And the best part is they have happy hours during the night as well. Also the menu displays the prices inclusive of taxes so you don't have to worry about the bill shooting up later due to taxes, you can order accordingly. While most places shut down by 12am, Willows offers you good ambience, service and reasonable prices till 2am. The food was pricey comparatively, but not unexpected given the fact that Westin is somewhat posh. Overall, it was a good experience. Not your typical party place but they won't stop you from dancing and having a good time if you wish to. Edit : They hosted a Halloween party on 28th October and it was epic. This was the 4th place we reached and had the most epic experience here 😀

Willows is the regular place for our team to hang out. Since we are working on the US timings we don't miss the happy hours twice or thrice in a month. Service and ambience are very good but they have to keep a good DJ & music selection. The price is cheaper than the regular bar in city during happy hours, I don't regret going to this place again an again.

Walked in here on a weekday early evening and it was quiet. A sports themed lounge is what I would describe the place as. It wasn't a roaring loud bar the time I was there and I definitely preferred it that way. Service was not the greatest. The staff slowly warmed up to us. I would have preferred more interactions and suggestions from the staff than the standard "cheers". Bar was decently stocked and drinks came out in reasonable time. Wonderful spread. Special mention should be made about the pork counter. Chicken curry was disappointing, it seemed as if chicken had committed suicide in my mother-in-law's arthritis oil. That spoiled the rest of the taste. Beef chukka, keema dosa, Nitro counter, Cold meat with hummus were excellent. Soup was disappointing and I regret not tasting the momos(my favourite). Fantabulous hospitality. Westin is worth the money. Definitely it is on my list of regulars

First i was amazed by the ambience, its a sports bar. Those cricket themed interiors were awesome. Even the door handles of bar was designed as cricket bats. The main serve table was designed with cricket balls, that look fabulous. Will give 4/5 for ambience. Coming to food and drinks its costly and if you wanna grab a drink at midnight then this place is for you. Happy hours is from 12 to 2 Am. This place is not for hard partying, if you want a decent place with you friend and enjoy the cricket matches then this is a right place.

By far, Willows is the worst experience I have had at a pub in Chennai. Went here for the Halloween party last year. First things first, the waiting time at the entrance was over an hour. Next, the Halloween decoration was extremely lame, with presumably "scary" videos playing on the TV and silly props. The music was even more lame. The DJ had the capability to ruin even the most amazing tracks by mixing them horribly. The place is very crammed and dingy. The influx of people hardly had place to fit themselves and ended up invading each other's space. Drinks and quick bites are expensive and absolutely not worth it. Couldn't put up inside beyond 45 minutes. Willows cannot be enjoyed, at least not while sober.

If you have ordered anything except drinks they will serve it in pthetic quality and excuse they will give "we are nt suppose" to serve it but we did jst for you. If its mention in menu and you taking order you suppose to serve it. You cannot say tea is cold because we sereve it here or chicken is raw because it was cooked during evening nd now its midnight. Bizarre excuses and abysmal service with staff full of attitude. Nothing but ambience is good which will be ruined by staff behaviour.

This used to be our only choice of drinks in close proximity to OMR after 12am post office hours as rest of the places close by 11pm. Yes the prices are very expensive but the happy hours gives you a respite. complimentary snacks are good and serves the purpose. however I went yesterday and came to know happy hours after 12am has been removed but prices of beer were reduced. ambience is not very great but good. They have the ipl unlimited beer offer which is awesome n worth visiting then.

I was apprehensive when I asked for Single Malt Whiskey. Surprisingly the answer was yes(which is rare in Chennai) and they even had options. This itself made me love the place. Its difficult to rate a bar on specifics as individual preferences and bias come in the way. An unplanned visit for a nibble. We went to Willows for a quick bite and were left asking for more. Willows is a business pub based on cricket theme. You are greeted by a wall of caps from different teams, calm atmosphere and everything cricket. The menu has wide variety of cuisines and drinks at a wee bit higher price tag. You can get anything from a hundi biryani to meatballs and spaghetti. The cocktails and beverage choices are good. Only sad part of the physical menu itself, menu cards held together by a screw. It looks good but it ain't user friendly. We ordered watermelon cocktail, banana smoothie and hundi chicken biryani. We had chips and assorted spiced nuts at our disposal while we were waiting for our order. The music was average and I was not impressed by the DJ. The cocktail,smoothie and biryani were amazing. It was a Saturday evening, hopped into Westin to have a quick drink. The ambience was awesome with good music and pretty decent crowd. Had two large shots of Rum and pepper chicken. The sides served as complimentary were poor and the quality has to be checked in routine. Well, that's about it. Couldn't elaborate on this as I didn't spend much time. Drinks are little expensive but the ambience is too good.

Its an amazing place which serves drought beer in Chennai. After a hectic day at the office u just go and grab some beer. The happy hours r really appealing 4-7 pm and 12-2 am. Finsih off your work and grab a beer at 6.45 and get wasted till 9 then go for a movie 10 to midnight and get back and grab a beer and enjoy till 2am . Then come back to your room and sleep. The tower beer is really fun to drink when you are in a group. The liquor-er are something which I loved here , especially Kahlua. The staff is super awesome and friendly. You can sit at the bar table and talk about everything on earth with them. The food is pretty good , but a bit expensive. The crowd is very peaceful ones and it feels pretty elite to drink there. NB: Make sure you wear shoe when you go

We went here on 31 December night. The ambiance was cool and the DJ rocked. We had the option of few lower end variety of drinks that came in the unlimited food and drinks package but it was nice drinking those. It was fun dancing but the starters were disappointing. The final buffet which was served after 12.30 am were quite good as far as I am able to recall. All in all a night well spent.

Willows is by far the most awesome place I have been to in write some time. The ambience and staff go the extra mile to see to it that your every need is taken care of.

The ambience is good as noted in other reviews. The place apparently has a dress code, it would be good to have a notice outside near the door. . The bartender approached me as soon as I walked in and told me that they had a dress code. He informed that I could order the same drinks at the restaurant in the lobby. I left immediately. Anyway, I think its weird for a sports bar to have a dress code. Couldn't try the drinks or the food, so no comments. This my second visit thank you team

My friends were excited about this place so much that it got me so pumped on a saturday night that I said, partying has become boring, its time to have a quiet drink with a small group of friends and enjoy a saturday night like its supposed to be enjoyed. The place welcomes you with a door which has life sized cricket bats as handles. To say a little more about this place being a sports bar, the bar counter is studded with more than a couple hundred cricket balls and when you sit at the counter you can smell the hide of the cricket balls in the air. Its a nice leathery smell and not something that stinks :). Big screen television sets and huge screens with projectors adorn the walls. They have a couple of tables which can seat at least 8-10 people which can be called as a private table where you can have a party of your own undisturbed by the others in the pub. As soon as we entered the bar, we were ushered to our table by a pleasant waiter. After getting comfortable on their plush sofas (most comfortable set of sofas I've been on), the waiter comes to us with more good news, its HAPPY HOURS. I think Willows is the only place which has happy hours from 4 to 7 in the evening and then 12 to 2 in the night. Me and my friends were really lucky to have come across a place which serves alcohol at buy one get one free in the middle of the night. Coming to the menu, they serve an extensive range of alcohol and liqueurs and they serve draught beer. I didn't get a chance to eat any short eats or finger foods because I left my home with a full stomach. Pros: Good range of Alcohol Great ambience Good music Happy Hours Great staff Cons: I just cant think of any cons Bottom Line: Its an amazing place to go to if you have a quiet Saturday night with friends or family on your mind

I visited Willow in a week day when IPL matches were not happening. It was empty and guess Staffa were on vacation mode. We had to getup and goto them every time we wanted a refill or follow up on orders. We were not impressed with service.

Summary : Star hotel sports bar with draught beer and friendly staff. Details : Willows is the sports bar at the Westin in Velacheri. The bar has a nice enough ambience, though the mood lighting makes it a strain to read what is on the menu as another reviewer points out. There is a DJ in the evenings who mixes up nice enough tracks. The place has draught beer which is enough of a draw in Chennai. The food is ecclectic, ranging from pizzas and pastas, through Thai green curry, to the local kotthu paratha. The staff are attentive and friendly. The star taxes make the place a tad expensive but, otherwise, recommended for a drink and a bite.

Really great place to eat! Such a wide range of food to choose from, staff waiting ready to serve your any need, and you leave this place feeling extremely full and wondering how you're gonna eat your next meal

The ambience is good but the service i felt was really poor.The staff were literally hiding or not available for service. This is a class bar and service should be way better. I had to switch seats to get noticed by the staff that too on a sunday..a little overpriced but good if the service improves

The cricket bats which double up as door handles should be clue enough that this place is a sports bar, and not a tribute to Kenneth Grahame's classic, in case the name lead you to assume that. The plethora of TV screens scattered around the fairly large area, and all of them into Star Sports ... coincidentally showing Rohit Sharma hitting a double ton on the day we went there, is further proof that this is where you need to be if the discussion is on whether Sachin retired too late or not. The waiter welcomes you with a smile ... in fact gives you an update on the score as you walk in. The seating is very comfortable, the seating areas well separated and all the seats having a view of some screen or the other, but you might still want to fight for the ones facing the large projection! A few glitches though ... while mood lighting might be a good idea, it makes sense to have at least enough light so that people can read what's there on the menu. Yes, a bar, and yes, the drinks menu is pretty comprehensive. But can we have some more choice in the finger foods? So what makes it a nice place? Well, the ambience for one. If the TV at home is locked on to a Saas-Bahu serial while India is battling it out on the cricket pitch ... head here. The prices. The drinks are not too costly for a place of this class and the Westin brand. The staff ... friendly, attentive and helpful. You have to try out their signature Flavoured Rum. Its really really good! BTW, have you ever had Kotthu Porotta in a bar in a Star- Hotel? A first for me!

Starwoods quality well maintained...the finger foods are real good ! There were few expats and some sr executives last Friday - they were extremely polite and forthcoming even as we stretched 30mins post closure time...good way to go
