Review Paprika Cafe - Chennai (Madras)

A great place with a good and peaceful ambience. The quality of food is good as what you can expect from an international cafe. The taste of food is a little bland compared to other cuisine-specific restaurant, however it is expected from an international restaurant since they cater to people with different tastes. The creme brulee was just amazing. The gardenia pizza was loaded with lots of veggie toppings and cheese, which was worth the price. The pasta was little bland, as mentioned earlier. The cafe manager is really friendly and helpful.

Food was average. Deserts were great. Very few items in their starters and main course. Curd rice was perfect

Veg buffet spread could have been more. All the items tasted good. Dinner buffet on Friday (29.7.22) was 1439 excluding taxes. Good mix of salads pastries cakes and ice creams. With EazyDiner discounts we had buffet for 1099 including taxes. Definitely worth a try once.

Had a nice time here. Inspite of having limited spread, some of the dishes were nice. I would recommend them to keep the dishes hot and to replenish the buffet in future. Hospitality and service A-

Location - located right opposite to DMS metro station and right on the busy Mount road. Parking - Valet parking available Ambience - the restaurant is in ground floor on the left once u enter the hotel. The ambience is good. With well distanced tables. There was a live counter for tea/coffee and Vietnam rice rolls ( which we loved the most). They regularly conduct food festivals. We went during the Jewels of Lucknow and Hyderabad festival. The speciality kebabs were directly brought to tables as starters. Chef himself checked with us and ensured that the spiciness of the kebabs are perfect.. Another fav here is the yummy pastry and dessert items. Loved the spread. Overall the food items are tasty. But the spread is not as extensive as BBQ restaurants. Pricing - on higher end considering the spread. And note it's a Star hotel Service - was prompt and quick. No complaints Rating 4/5 for the tasty food and good ambience

Paprika restaurant is located in the Lobby of the Marriott in Teynampet Chennai. They have a vast selection of Veg and Non Veg dishes and Indian and Western Fare. The staff are polite and helpful and the food was very tasty. The Thenga Maanga Sundal Salad was yummy, the mango instead of the normal tomato gave it a different twist. The only draw back was there was too much Urad Daal used as tempering which wasn't fried enough so was quite hard. The kanda bhajiya too was yummy as was the Margarita Pizza. Prices are on the higher side being a 5 star, the sundal and kanda bhajjiya were about Rs 550 each.

A real good experience of tasting the culinary that is prepared with utmost care and perfection. To start with, the restaurant is located bang on the Mount Road which can be easily accessible by 2/4 wheeler, public transport including Metro. You just need to alight at DMS Metro and it is located just opposite to it. The ambiance is too good to mention. The interiors are done very well. Staffs are courteous and keep attending to your needs with a smiling face. Lighting and seating are perfect. You can go with your family or friends to have a real good time. Today I was there to attend the culinary tales of Bengal which will run until 30th of September. The menu & the counter are really vast. There are live counters for Pizza, Chat, Rolls. Of course there is a juice station as well. You could also get hot filter coffee. There is huge selection among veg and non-veg items. They are displayed in an attractive way which would make even those with lesser appetite to go for it. I had a chance to taste upon few delicacies including pasta, pizza(2 varieties), Paneer rolls, Filter Coffee, Bajji, Mysore bonda, salads, vegetables among others. What did I find appealing? Firstly, it is the presentation. Secondly, the varieties which was vast giving you enough chance to try on one or the other. Thirdly, I liked the taste of each and every item. Usually I keep a smaller portion so that I do not miss out on any. I did not regret this time as I found each and every dish appealing. The Bengali dishes were kept in earthen pot vessels separately and of course there is a huge section for desserts as well. I thoroughly loved eating and relishing each and every item. It is certainly worth your money :)

Love the fact that they have entered the delivery game. The packaging, the delivery, the taste all were professional and smooth. And with a competitive pricing, just go for it.<br/><br/>I ordered the Marriott burger, which is a beef burger topped with bacon and a side of fries. You know it’s a good burger when its cooked just right and juices from the beef patty is dripping. Definitely a Must try.<br/><br/>Then I placed an order of the Kerala fish curry and steamed rice, which was a combo. Tasted amazing, the curry had a slight Thai feel to it with the coconut milk. I actually liked this more than the traditional one. They used basa fish, which was boneless. You can’t expect them to give kingfish for their pricing. This too is a must try.<br/>

Hi everyone on Saturday 29th Feb I have visited courtyard Marriott Hotel Chennai. I have booked table for 10 members for lunch buffet. This is first time I'm visiting to that hotel lots of expectations but when we see the lunch buffet dish it is really horrible. Visited this place for lunch with colleague. The ambience of this place was so cool as other star hotels. The service was also good and delightful. Coming to the food, it didn't impressed me much for the cost tagged by them. On the buffet they served, 3 starters, varities of salads, 2 thin crust pizza and roti's on order they provide you, steamed rice, sambar, rasam, meen kulambu, dal, jeera rice, fried rice, fish, etc. and also varities of muffins and dessert. The only cons is that it is less spiced for my taste, otherwise everything was yummy.
God Of Mischief
Thee great Marriott..... May be once it was not now the restaurant sucks and the ambience hewwwww the food was yuck nothing was tasty they had beef steaks which was not even cooked properly and fortunately it was cold not even warm<br/>2. The had chicken biryani which they took 30mins to refill may be they thought the guest would lose patience and leave off to next dish which din happen with me I waited and calculated the time any how after tasting felt bad why I wasted time<br/>3. They had different varieties of pickel which was good<br/>4. Their dishes which had fish fry and fish saucy sweet gravy yuck it felt not even sweet, salty, sour, spicy blunt in taste<br/>5. Chicken fry ha ha funny one it's had the masala coating more than the chicken bad food quality<br/>6. The next mention is to the salads which had pork in it and can't even chew it 'phew face'<br/>7. Curd rice ha ha wow who will dump in salt on entire curd rice of at all the restaurant wants to make customer stop consuming more food ha ha neat trick Marriott<br/>8. Desert one of the fantastic failure cakes pudding and the most of all local Street side shop level quality stick ice cream with frozen ice breaking state how can a customer eat such thing.

Here for the Sunday brunch but this time it's different. Marriott has organised a brunch with a cause where a lot of wonderful arts like paintings are put up where customers can actually buy them. Soo it was more like a wonderful food combined with beautiful art kinda theme. Well me I'm not much of a art person but i must say those paintings were absolutely beautiful just like the colourful desserts from dessert counter over there.<br/><br/>They've got exciting range of starters like japanese pizza , indian chaat and also different types of pastas with different sauces. Even the main course had wide range of dishes like Ratatouille , different types fried fish , grilled tenderloin and a few other chiniese deep fried dishes. The main highlight of the brunch was ofcourse the paintings but along with it was the pork belly , soo succulent and juicy it just explodes all the fat in it as soon as you eat it but also tastes soo freaking good. The now the second main attraction the colourful desserts, more than 10 varities of desserts and each soo uniquely delicious in its own way.<br/><br/>Overall it was such a wonderful brunch spread and most importantly a brunch with wide range of delicious desserts.<br/><br/>Food : 8/10<br/><br/>Ambience : 9/10<br/><br/>Service : 8/10<br/><br/>Overall experience : 8/10

Very disappointing service over the breakfast, especially for a reputed brand like this one. I was there yesterday for breakfast, and the moment I entered the restaurant, I requested for a masala uthappam. I told the server that I have a flight to catch as well, so requested him not to delay the order. Unfortunately, it took them 30 minutes to serve my uthappam, that too, after two reminders. And when it did come, it was an incorrect order served to me. It was not a masala uthappam.<br/>I hope the management takes out some time in training of the staff, which seems to be lacking at the moment.

They've this Sunday brunch going on with the theme of arts. It was pretty good and they had wide dessert section omggg.

Courtyard Marriott Chennai is not remarkably grand when compared to the other courtyards, we had been there for sunday brunch and the spread of the buffet was very poor, serving just 2 veg & non veg appetizer, no seafood, mutton or pasta, no choice of mocktails or soft drinks in a brunch is a shocker omission, main course spread doesn’t do any magic, but on a positive note whatever is served in the brunch tasted good and the desserts options was vast meanwhile delicious too.<br/>Overall not a great Brunching experience !<br/><br/>

Paprika cafe is located in courtyard Marriott.. <br/>Went for the food trek festival .. What is special abt this street food festival ?? The street food showcases the best of regional street food .. Andhra Pradesh, Kolkatta, North east, Kerala .. The chef curated the menu in such a way, that we get to taste the famous street food in the above mentioned regions at one place .. There was a live counter for each region .. <br/><br/>Both veg and non veg options were there in starters and main course .. The welcoming drink in the form of sharbat was refreshing one .. The fried items were delicious and the live dosa counter has my heart .. No complaints on the food .. Dessert counter looked like a mini heaven .. From pastries to street food desserts everything tasted absolutely great .. <br/><br/>Service was top notch .. Very quick to our needs .. The chef explained abt the each food trek and that made us to pick the dish easily .. Loved the ambience .. U can actually walk around and fill ur plate .. Valet parking is available ... The unlimited buffet dinner is priced at ₹1950 .. Worth the price since u get to taste all the famous food from each region at one place .. <br/><br/>.

Been to the Culinary tale of Bengal festival thats happening now and I must say the spread is good. Taste is authentic. The buffet counters are made interesting and re created  to bring in the authenticity. Regarding the service, the staff were courteous and caring.  There are more options for Non Vegetarians ( something so obvious with the Bengali food) but then it would be good if they can add some more authentic tastes from Bengal for the Vegetarians.

What a wonderful experience Marriott. The ambiance and the interior is at it's best. Well behaved staffs. Very couteous. The choices of food were awesome. We had good option in Continental Chinese Mexican south Indian north Indian bengali and yeah how can I forget Italian. The pizza was such a treat. The thin crust was so delicate but was able to hold the cheese and the toppings. I guess the cheese thread could go to the moon and back :) ther had a very generous salad bar with both veg and nonveg options. About Mutton samosas and chicken cutlet... what can i say, with all the chutneys on the side it is something you can experience forever. At the end..who can miss the colourful desert table. Ohh man..you just have to forget there is something called "Diet". Brownies pastries kheers rasagulla and other jeera sweets will give you no other choice . You just have to taste every bit. Overall the experience was like being in Disneyland for food.

If you want to enjoy some real buffet please don't visit this please.. Its absolutely not worth it..waste of money and time. Poor or no customer service, hotels with buffet price 500 would have better menu and quality.... devastating quality and absolutely useless

Well, I really don't know how to start . I fell terribly ill after eating the breakfast buffet . I'm not sure what went wrong and all . All I could notice was the sausages weren't cooked enough it was quite raw and the sunny side up which I ordered were also burnt . Hospitality was good. But food I wouldn't recommend it's because maybe I fell ill . I was quite fine until I finished eating . So yeah that's my experience my family also had problems after having the food they fell ill aswell .

Paprika has come up with a food festival. This week from Aug 19 to Aug 31st the theme is Jewels of Hyderabad and Lucknow. Went there on the first day and the buffet spread was good. Loved the Mahi Noori Kebab and the Chicken Biriyani. The Mutton Nalli n Fish curry were really good. Do try the orange Mousse from the dessert table. Overall the hospitality and food makes it a unique one unlike the normal buffets.

Visted the place after almost after 9 years and no it didnt disappointed me at all. Food was tasty as it was when i first had lunch here 9 years back.<br/>The street food festival plus awesome offer from dineout drew me to the dinner buffet this time . Spread was huge . I almost tried everything was on the menu except pizza and salad.<br/>Ambience as usual was amazing, staffs helpfull, food great. As the theme was street food festival the items on the street food counter could have been better. Had to reduce 1 star as tikkis and koftas missed basic seasoning and meat was hard. The chicken in chicken roll that too much vinegar which an extra tangy kick to it. The correct amoint would have made it the best roll available in chennai.
Deepika R
We went for a dinner buffet<br/>Man I should say even a nominal restaurant would give you more varities (in menu) than them<br/>The menu doesn't have unique dishes<br/>All were the ones we would otherwise try in any 3 star<br/>Think twice before going here for buffet

Had my saturday lunch buffet today....not worth the money....very limited starters and main course variety and even not that tasty....would not recommend to anyone

Street food festival in Paprika!<br/><br/>-> Special counter for Dosa and Paratha with local styles of making (the Andhra style egg dosa was amazing) <br/>-> A counter for Kolkata famous chap (varieties of veggies and meat crumb fried) <br/>-> Special chaat and chowmein counter<br/>-> Special seafood corner where you can choose the fish and making (my favourite) <br/>And their regular menu, of course which needs a lot of improvement. <br/><br/>Hygiene factor and service to also be checked. <br/><br/>This is for dinner and at a cost of ₹1950 including taxes. <br/>Worth trying if you want to explore all street food under one place.

A nice evening with good food and good company at the Paprika cafe! It was their street food festival and the chef was very courteous enough to walk us through all the street food counters.<br/><br/>The chef has made sure that this street food festival would definitely cover all parts of India as they have included Street sea food to Chinese street food! Their dosa counter was the busiest one 😁<br/><br/>They have also brought in the Calcutta local varieties of chap! Some of them are very authentic to streets of Calcutta like brinjal chap 🤗<br/><br/>All the counters were fab and we liked the chowmein and Panipuri counter the most apart from Kolkata chap counter!<br/><br/>And not to forget their regular buffet menu which has who lot of dishes which is unlimited! <br/><br/>Apart from this they also have live sea food counter where they have varieties of fishes cooked for us as per our recommendation or chefs recommendation 😅<br/><br/>All this is for Rs. 1950/- inclusive of taxes! Definitely worth a try 🙌🏻🙏

Food and service was very bad.<br/>The service was poor that we got our welcome only we went for the main course and also the buffet menu is not worth for the money.

I went for dinner with my family. Food was not good at all. Rice was hard. No taste in non veg item. Only chapati was good. Pastries was also not seem to fresh. For all these reasons, I am giving one star. I will never go again there.

Tried buffet dinner with family. Two negatives-1) food displayed all across making whole floor very crowded and busy. 2) 15 minutes of delay in refill of some regular stuff even when half of the restaurant was empty!<br/>However staff was courteous and tried their best to overcome frowns. <br/>This is my attempt to help Paprika. Cheers.

Its was really wonderful. The dinner buffet was awesome. Lots of variety of food especially I loved the desert varieties. The service was excellent. Thank you for making my anniversary delightful with a complimentary strawberry mousse. Thank you so much Pui and satosh for your excellent service.

If you are looking for a relaxing, tasty and diverse sumptuous meal , the Sunday Brunch at Paprika, Marriott deserves an applause. The diverse selection of multiple cusines - Continental ( European, Mexican, American), North Indian and South Indian included a wide range of fresh and grilled exotic salads n dips; both veg/ non veg soups, live beans and beef tacos and pizza counter; a very desi kathi roll live counter; grilled fish, chicken and paneer tikka staters; main course included a wide range of north and south Indian dishes ( Biryani, Dals, Paneer curry, spinach corn curry , Mutton curry) ; A decent selection of continental dishes included grilled steak, baked vegetable augratin, Singaporean fried rice, Thai chicken with broccoli, asian stir fried veg gravy to name a few. Pork belly with baby potatoes and grilled vegetables was the star of the spread. For the simple hearted a live dosa, idly, paniyaram, sambhar, curd rice, dahi wada etc was an add-on along with wide range of papads and pickles. Being the season of mangoes a widespread selection of mango infused deserts which were both visually exotic and tantalizingly delicious along with mango based cocktails simply sealed the deal on a sweet note. The hospitality was top notch with the entire staff being very polite and courteous catering to all of your demands.<br/>Cheers to the entire team of Paprika from the head chef to the cooks and the servers n staff for their extreme dedication and hard work which was so evident in the display and the taste of the dishes.<br/>Thank you for making this Sunday Brunch a flavoursome and moreish experience.<br/>Will definitely come again soon.<br/><br/>

Tonight I went here for dinner with my friend Aashish Jain , first time visiting courtyard marriott. The most wondrous part is the person who served us Santosh, very must hospitable and friendly. Served us with much care. The ambience and environment is nice, as with the late night dinner it was peaceful, never been during day time.<br/>Coming to the food which I can't say frabjous, out of 1 to 5 the great, I would rate it as 3.5.<br/>The five star I gave is for the perfection of the service.<br/>We are planning to try breakfast once.<br/>The issue with the food everything we ordered from baby corn fry is with cauliflower unable to eat as we both hate it, then the Risotto I felt sour taste and too quaggy.<br/>The roti and dhal makhani which my friend like it.<br/>Service is Marvellous<br/>Environment is nice<br/>Food is Okay(my experience)<br/>But will surely visit again.<br/>Thanks a lot to Mr. Santosh.

Chettinad food festival was one amazing dining experience I had here. The love for this cuisine is infinite ♥️. Loved each and every aspect of the buffet and the food was amazing. The special dishes of the buffet are as follows<br/><br/>1. Vazhapoo Vada<br/>2. Makka Chola Vada<br/>3. Kalan Milagu Varuval<br/>4. Karuveppillai Meen Varuval<br/>5. Mutton Coconut Fry<br/>6. Eral Chettindu<br/>7. Karaikudi Fried chicken<br/>8. Steam Red Rice<br/>9. Chicken chettinad<br/>10. Virudhunagar meen kozhambu<br/>11. Nandu Milagu Masala<br/>12. Vellari Vellai Kuruma<br/>13. Puzhicha Keerai Masiyal<br/>14. Urulai Roast<br/>15. Parotta<br/>16. Dindukal Mutton biryani.<br/><br/>My favourites among them would eral chettinad,<br/>Mutton coconut fry, karuveppilai meen varuval, virudhunagar meen kozhambu, parotta. Meat was so well cooked and all the dishes were made out of pressed oil and the spices were specially brought in from the specifi region.<br/><br/>Loved the ambience and the seating in the restaurant. The hospitality was at its best. And it goes into the list of highly recommended places.<br/>

Nice ambiance and very friendly staffs, and starters are very delicious and main really good, Never miss the curd varieties here, absolutely magic am really addicted to it, dessert are good but there is no ice creams there. Otherwise overall great experience!

Went on a Saturday afternoon , only to find out that spread offered by this restaurant is very poor . There were no starters and the food quality was also very bad .I would have rather eaten a food in a dabha, if all I have to eat is steamed rice and moong dhall . Service levels are also abysmally poor . Will not be visiting this restaurant anymore and I would not be recommending it to anyone too .

I always love the food. I was there twice! It's variety.First time it was in the food festival time - it was quite good. I loved the desserts. Last time, it was one normal day. It was good enough. The Lichi welcome drink was fantastic

Awesome place ....bit far away from kalpakkam but dinner buffet was nice...many non- veg and veg items were there..nice mocktails and live pizza, pasta and noodles counter were attracting kids and us too...stuffs were quite polite and taking care of all guest personally and checks their requirements and orders....so over all nice place for weekends dinner.

Worst food ,They cant even cook a pizza properly ,there are very few items in the buffet and the taste is horrible. My suggestion ;never even think of having lunch over here

We were here for a brunch date on Sunday. It was not too crowded which was a pleasant surprise but we were thinking that it could also be a sign of things to come. Thankfully that wasn't really the case. It was a well organized place that had individual stalls serving Mexican food, Chaat, salad bar, dosa and desserts. Right in the middle they had the appetizers and the main course. They also had a cocktail bar which was not included in the regular buffet and was priced higher.<br/>They served a welcome drink and asked us what appetizers we would like. The food was decent. The appetizers were really good but the main course was average. Good collection of desserts. Would good the place 3.5 for the ambience and food. I had only one major complaint. We spotted a cockroach on the counter where they had arranged the main course. That was a big deal breaker for me.

Tried their dinner buffet which was truly mouthwatering. Each and every dish starting from the starter to the dessert waz just so perfect. The melted cheese and aubergine dish was just so amazing. Mysore paak and payassam was perfect to end the meal.

The high ceiling at Paprika with a lavish vibrant spread had the taste buds pop out in curiousity. The Non-veg Thali and the Spicy Boneless Lamb kept us enjoying every morsel. John, surprised us with bowls of hot soup that was a teaser to the thali that was yet to arrive. It was certainly a fine dining experience that will be a delicious memory.

Really appreciate the extra effort the staff took for customer satisfaction.<br/>I jokingly asked for a drink (that was unavailable during lunch) to be served to me complimentary during dinner. During dinner, in addition to the complimentary drink, the staff served complimentary starters and desserts as well.<br/><br/>Great ambience, polite staff, great service.<br/><br/>

It was quite a sumptuous experience in Paprika. Although my experience in Kolkata Marriot was very average, but this place didn't disappoint me. They had two veg and two non veg starters which was quite good. Their Salad spread was very wide and delicious, loved the baked corn and spinach. Their we're couple of items which stands between main course and starters, out of which Panji Chicken with herbs was just amazing. Main course didn't had much to offer but their pizza and chats were good. Top of the charts will be their dessert which were lickalicious. But they didn't had ice cream which was a bit disappointing. Service was prompt and ambience was nice and soothing. All in all a very nice experience

Excellent food and a great service. The paneer tikka and the pasta are must try. <br/>The staff at paprika are really friendly and suggest the best things. Value for money !!

Enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Great variety of spread and 4 live counters. Waffle live counter was very exciting and the service is very good. Polite and friendly staff who are very attentive. Thank you for making my stay comfortable. Will visit again soon.

Decent enough. Ordered the nasi goreng.. Was made better than I expected. Not to much crowd at the buffet since the variety was not so much.

The ambience was really good. Price was quite higher, 1500 bucks for a buffet was too much. Can be tried once when going on a corporate lunch/dinner

Good and Amazing Place to Visit.<br/>Amazing Food with Great Taste, Ample of varieties available here.<br/>A Place to Visit For all Dessert Lovers, Just amazing and Mouth Watering Desserts You get here.<br/>Very good Ambience and Very Friendly Service.<br/>One Major Drawback is, I personally don't feel that this place is worth the complete Buffet Price as there is only One starter available in both non-veg and Veg each.<br/>.<br/>Cost- 3/5<br/>Ambience- 4/5<br/>Taste of Food- 4.5/5

After being to other restaurants of the same brand in other cities and after reading more than a few decent comments about this place, we decided to visit this place for the hyped sunday brunch. To start off, I personally had high expectation, the main reason being brand Marriott had never dissapointee me before.<br/>We entered around 1:40, which being a peak hour was reasonably full. There was noone at the entrance while we reached but we were soon guided to our reserved table.<br/>We soon started off on our quest for eating and were shocked to find out there was no specific starter counter for a Sunday brunch buffet menu. There was a live grill counter with veg(paneer & pineapple) and nonveg(chicken and fish) options and that was it. We then placed our orders for 3 types of grill which was to be served to our table once prepared.<br/>We stayed at the place for more than an hour and we only received the chicken grill(one out of the three things ordered). The other two items never arrived.<br/><br/>Next onto the salad section, there were 4 or 5 different types of salad but most of them were empty and it was also not being refilled. After bringing this to notice of one of the employee, this was however taken care of. The salads were tasty with the salmon and broccoli salad deserving a special mention.<br/><br/>Next on to the momo counter. We placed order for our table which was promised to be served at our table but then again the food never arrived during the course of our stay.<br/><br/>Next on to the chaat section which did the same and never sent our order to the table.<br/><br/>Forcefully we proceeded to the main course. Sadly we were greeted by another shock as there were just a handful of items there as well. (There are more options on a barbeque nation outlet.)<br/><br/>Finally, the desert counter had a number of different options for those with a sweet tooth. But noone shells out money on a Sunday brunch buffet just for the desert selection.<br/><br/>The only silver lining to this cloudy afternoon was the dineout deal which let us have this buffet at 50% discount. Even at 50% of the cost, which numerically translates to Rs 1020 per person, I would suggest you to visit any of the other grill buffet outlets which would serve the same menu and more at 30% lesser price.<br/>And for those in favour of fine-dining, I would suggest you cross the road to another of the famous competitor 5star hotel which would give you value for your money at the same price.<br/><br/>To end from where I had begun, brand Marriott had never disappointed me , until NOW. every thing has its first I guess.<br/><br/>Never coming back here.

Well my visit to Paprika was a total shocker after all the decent reviews I read on Zomato. We (6 of us) had gone for the sunday brunch and all of us were totally disappointed. To start with the number of dishes was very low. As a starter there was just one chicken kabab.  I couldn't believe that all the live counters - noodles, pasta and pizza had only veg offerings. That really pissed us off. At the live dosa counter alone they had what was supposed to be a mutton dosa but that was more like an onion dosa with few bits of flavorless mutton put in. The cocktails were watery, so all in all it was a disaster. We are never going back there again. The dessert spread was huge but most of the items tasted similar as they were some form of pastry/mousse. The chocolate truffle was tasty and so was the gulab jamuns. For the money you pay, there are much better brunch options in the city and Paprika needs to up their game to stay in the race.

After a long research and debate we decided on this one for our getogether..we were initially reluctant to select this place as their buffet menu wasn't available in any search..still decided to give it a try for its reputation!<br/><br/>We were served with a egg drop soup which was okayish and v would recommend to serve it hot next time as it was in the room temperature which was a shame!!<br/><br/>Some chicken and fish starters were served on table and truly we weren't able to differentiate between the two!! Lots to improve on the starters!<br/><br/>The salad and the bread section had a good variety but the breads were cold and hard !<br/><br/>For the mains, the spread was good including chicken briyani, pepper chicken, goan fish curry, ginger fish, pasta, veg fried rice, paneer gravy, sabzi and south indian curries and rice to finish it off..<br/><br/>Live counter served just the pizzas and except for the good crust the pizza was very bland!<br/><br/>The total mood lifter was their yummy desserts!! It was a very vast spread with cakes, tarts, ice creams, payasam, halwa , brownies, custards which was a delight to our taste buds!!<br/><br/>Would definitely visit again just for their awesome desserts!

Had booked the deal thru GIRF on dineout. The food was hopeless . They had just one chicken 65 as starters and paneer in veg starters. Overall the spread was very very mediocre . I can say it was much below average for a 4 star hotel. I have not seen and eaten such pathetic food anywhere in 4 star or even a 3 star hotel restaurant.<br/>All the items in the buffet was cold and even the soup was cold . I guess they do not know that food has to be served hot.<br/>Even the fruits was not refilled and after reminding them 3 times it was done.<br/>Worst part was that they did not even have ice cream in the dessert section. I was just shocked and after complaining to the restaurant manager about the quality of the food and non availibilty of the ice cream they provided the same.<br/>Actually even the 1 star is not recommended.<br/>Never ever again will step in this restaurant.<br/>This is the least expected from a hotel like Marriott.<br/>

A very good place to spend quality dinner time with family, the south indian specials served in the buffet was very authentic. A little more varieties for the buffet would be appreciated.

An amazing place. Tried the dinner buffet. Lot of varieties are available. The Thai cuisine is very much good. I loved their chicken dum biryani. Desserts are excellent too. It's one of the best places to have buffet. The workers are really courageous. Loved their service. Ambience is pretty much good. A must try place.

I booked my lunch reservation through a coupon which I purchased. It was utterly disappointing. I went there just for the experience. Food variety was very less. Who would serve pakkodas for Veg starters in a 5* hotel . Come on, even BBQ joints does better. The pakkodas were so oily and cold. I had returned the plate and asked for a new one.<br/><br/>I was surprised there is only 1 veg starter if you are on offers. Thats so bad. No Icreams as well, just desserts. Really???

Me and Wife visited Paprika for the breakfast buffet! First of all I'd like to say the staff are very friendly and prompt!<br/><br/>The restaurant has a lovely spread of items as listed below -<br/><br/>Indian:<br/>Dosa, Idli, Pongal, Semiya, Poha and Stuffed Parathas<br/><br/>Western items:<br/>Chicken sausage, Fried potatoes, Porridge, Eggs to order, Waffles and pancakes<br/><br/>Pastries:<br/>Donuts, Chocolate Danish, Croissants, Cakes, Cinnamon rolls.<br/><br/>Beverages:<br/>Cold coffee, fresh juice, detox water, Whole milk, hot beverages, etc<br/><br/>Overall a great dining experience! Thanks!
Manish Soni
Decent ambience, co operative staff. But buffet not worth the money. Firstly be cognizant of 18% tax over and above the buffet price. Secondly, the spread is limited in comparison to the price u pay. Lastly some items had gone stale unfortunately (most notably our favourite cheese cake)

After a lot of research landed up at Courtyard Marriott for BAE's Bday lunch😊 dint regret making this decision, wonderful and calm ambience.<br/>By the time we reached place was not crowded and we were asked to choose our own table😍<br/>Chose a table with road view and got seated there.<br/><br/>Starters:<br/>Chicken kebab- perfectly cooked but blant in taste<br/>Fish fry- it would better if made in small pieces<br/>Potato tots- yummylacious<br/>Gobi manchurian- below average<br/><br/>Main course:<br/>Briyani- yummy briyani perfectly cooked meat<br/>Pizza- chicken pizza was yumm. Thin crust freshly made pizza<br/>Pepper chicken masala<br/>Roasted chicken<br/>Beef in teriyaki sauce- half cooked beef and gravy wasnt upto the mark<br/>Veg noodles- seriously very plain no schezwan 🙄🙄🙄<br/>Jeera rice<br/>White rice<br/>Dhal<br/>Sambar<br/>Rasam<br/>Breads to order<br/><br/>Main course variety is worse. You should seriously work on maincourse menu👍<br/><br/>Desserts:<br/><br/>This was my only hope❤️ Every single thing was soo delicious. I am not a huge fan of Indian desserts but a huge fan of pies and cakes soo i completely enjoyed it.<br/><br/>Cons:<br/>I would say lack of manpower.<br/>I could harldy see staffs approaching for asking if we wanted something, even for refilling water we had to call sme1. Until unless you call and ask them nothing will be served. So management should keenly look into this. Because with your great ambience and tasty food if you just put some effort to increase the service it would make our experience even more special.

Had dinner and breakfast from paprika during my stay in chennai. They have got a nice breakfast buffet spread. The croissants, cakes, soup, waffles all wer really good! For dinner I had Thai red curry and they offered me malpua as dessert as I had zomato gold membership! The service also is excellent and lives upto the brand of Marriott!

Food - Veg Buffet on Jan 2 2019, Not enough options to try, just 1 rice variety other than steamed rice and 1 noodle variety. main course was pathetic, taste of paneer, dal and other dishes were below average. i did not try the soup and i am sure it wouldn't be that great. Desserts were just okay, ice cream was in liquid state and it was more of a milkshake than icecream. Worst food experience. <br/><br/>Service - pathetic service, asked for indian breads and waited for more than 30m, still no refill so had to move on to other options, no cleaning of plates when we step out for next refill, no refill of water either. <br/><br/>Ambiance - nothing great about that too. <br/><br/>Would not recommend this restaurant for veg buffet or for any spl. occasion when we expect awesome service experience
Gundu Paiyyan!
After having an almost pathetic day, drench in rain while reaching the place and then you're taken aback seeing them serving your 2nd most favourite cuisine and you thank all the God's the old and the new ones. That's how it all started.<br/><br/>So this review is going to be limited inly to the JAPANESE NIGHTS that happens only in WEDNESDAYs<br/><br/>So what are the spreads they offer??<br/>- Salad Menu<br/>You have the variety of making your own salad with all the essentials available, but you knowe right the extra effort is always looked beyond and I took a olunge on the readymade ones and I gotta say I did take a good choice. My top picks were,<br/>And mind it these are all coming from a guy who skips salad and goes to the meat side in a jiffy 😜<br/>> Blanched Broccoli Cherry and Tomato<br/>It's every bit of the what the name says in itself, fresh stuff is what makes it all the more worth. Crunchy to the bite and the dressing was well married.<br/>> Grilled Chicken Asparagus<br/>Chicken on a salad, how could I say no... totally not the grilled you're used to, its more of like the slow cooked and roasted along with herbs such as thyme and the clarified butter being tossed on continually. Ok ill stop. In short best, but wait there's one that I really enjoyed<br/>> Creamy Potato (best of the lot)<br/>Dood, this was like everything I wanted out of a serving, am not sure how they call it a salad but if this is how they general are am switching to a salad diet (that's just me exaggerating don't worry I won't 😏)<br/><br/>- (Have no idea what this counter is about but was more of appetizers)<br/>> Chicken Dasi Broth<br/>> Sweet potatoes<br/>> Broccoli Tonago<br/>> Steamed Fish<br/>> Teriyaki beef<br/>Didn't have much from here, my pick was the steamed fish and the beef stir fry i.e the teriyaki fortunately both were equally good and was juicy enough to give me a real spray of shower inside. Totally succulent stuff.<br/><br/>- Sushi Bar (Would have loved if it was a live one)<br/>> California Maki Roll<br/>> Tekka Tuna Roll<br/>> Maguro Tuna<br/>> EBI Shrimp<br/>It's kinda difficult to mention each one in depth but lemme say this, if you know a sushi works you would really appreciate it, the sticky rice with sesame seeds and the stuffings inside were real balanced and I didn't had to reach for soy sauce or wasabi to balance it out!<br/><br/>- Live Noodles counter<br/>The topping spread was of the usual...baby corn, mushroom, bell pepper, red lettuce, spring onion, zucchini, carrot, tomato, onions. And for the noodle types it was off Soba and rice noodles. After like 5 minutes the greasy bad boy was mine to devour it was nothing to be like blown away or not to miss or anything but good and did the trick.<br/>To bad the portion was quite small every time I asked for a plate. Didn't want to pester him for more cause that's when the line started becoming big and the anxietying and then followed by the panick attack.😥🙂<br/><br/>- Dessert spread<br/>There's a saying it's best to fill up with desserts when in a buffet cause that's were you can even out your money 😂 whoever follows this should really come down here. The spread isnt wide in any sense but the handpicked feature really shows. So what an all were available??<br/>> Mochi<br/>> Japanese Cheesecake<br/>> Castella Pancake Sanwhich<br/>> GreenTea Pastry<br/>> Cheery cheese Tart<br/>Ok lemme be true here, I am not used to any of this in the spread not even tasted one in it! Like cheesecake in general yess but the japanese twist nope, same as with pancake i've had but the sandwich nope, pastry of course but with green tea NOPE! You never can go wrong the dessert and that holds good here to the sponginess the infusion and even the pictures came good 🤣<br/><br/>There was a Japanese crowd in itself enjoying the buffet and that would be reflected on my pictures🙈 as I got hold of just one piece each in the sushi, hence the line fiasco too! But that says about the level of authenticity too. Kudos to the management for putting up such a festival.<br/>And wait,<br/>There's a separate buffet which offers everything that they generally have from soups, briyanis, chicken curries to breads even curd rice and what not. Even another dessert counter so yayyy!! Overall the experience was real good and if you're looking for a good holiday dinner this is one to look for. Pricing is totally something to be wary about cause it ain't cheap in anyway.<br/>Japanese Nights are happening only on Wednesday's<br/>The cost is 1600/- per head, all inclusive!<br/>Happy holidays people!!<br/><br/>Ambience : 4/5<br/>Service : 4/5<br/>Taste : 3.75/5

I had gone here for Christmas buffet... Poor food quality ! Starters were almost cold .. and some are salty ,Taste is very average ..briyani was oily seems old ...<br/><br/>GRT or lot of other restaurants is better than paprika for sure... less coordination between the staffs, not worth the price ... !!

Great food and nice hospitality. Great mix of cousins and friendly staff makes it an excellent experience. Highly recommended if you are around this place

After the impressive from Zomato, we visited Paprika but service was pathetic. Waiter doesn't know how to clear the plate and even position was very less. When we complaint to executive, for service recovery two mocktail was Offer but we denied. We looking only quality of food and service. Even Appam was cold ask for replacement but chef was not show attitude. Best part was no one worry about serve water. Great part manager was very busy in entrance<br/><br/>In my life, worst case food and service.

This place was bookmarked for a really long time now and I finally got the chance try it out and it happened to be Thursday night - "Italian Night", couldn't have been more happier and excited.<br/><br/>Starting off with a basket filled with variety of fresh bread served with three different dips. The buns topped with olives and sun dried tomatoes with pesto dip was my favourite.<br/><br/>Spaghetti bolognese - Best one I have so far! Ground beef tossed in chilli garlic sauce and served with spaghetti at the live counter. The taste, experience and essence totally worth it.<br/><br/>Chicken pizza - Thin crust pizza with mild base sauce and loads of cheese and.. chicken ofcourse! Yumm!<br/><br/>Pasta live counter!<br/>They a bunch of pasta and raviolis.<br/>Ravioli -<br/>1)Three cheese<br/>2)Mushroom<br/>3)Chicken<br/>4)Spinach and corn<br/><br/>Our first combo, three cheese ravioli, chicken ravioli, olives, white sauce and broccoli. So much goodness in one plate. It was delicious!<br/><br/>Second, mushroom and corn ravioli tossed in olive and garlic, topped with grated cheese. Chef's special.<br/><br/>Ah the desserts!<br/>Tiramisu - I totally loved this dessert. Had the right amount of sweetness and coffee flavour to it.<br/><br/>Cannoli - Deep fried dough stuffed with sweet filling. It was different and worth a try.<br/><br/>Crunchy mixed berries pastry - Chef Kuldeep's special dessert. The taste and presentation both were top notch!<br/><br/>The ambience, the food, service and bunch friends - perfect Thursdays night! Overall great experience.<br/><br/>Keep following @foodovergym_ on insta for drool worthy updates

Horrible service ever experienced. In paprika now, came for team lunch and extremely disappointed with the service they provided.<br/>1. Chicken soup was placed in veg bowl, with hot and sour veg soup tag<br/>2. Used plates are not even removed from the table.<br/>3. Buffets are not refilled leaving empty bowls in oven.<br/>4. They told starters will be served on the table, but despite asking 3 times, there was no response<br/>5. We ordered for veg pizza in live counter, we got one after having our desserts.<br/>Never coming here again. Deeply disappointed.

This place has absolutely no service to speak of, and I am amazed at the review that zomato has given this place, which makes me wonder whether at all we should take zomato reviews with any seriousness.

Food was awesome. Ambience and service was top notch. We had Pizza as part of the buffet which was really mouth watering that I would rate on par with most of the best Pizza that I have tasted so far.<br/><br/>Spread was kind of OK in terms of the price. Could have been better and when compared with similar restaurants like Hyatt where you get a really good spread.<br/><br/>

We were there on a weekday night and chose the buffet. The food was spread out all over the open-plan restaurant along with the live counters in a corner. We were served by the lovely Lovely Lamchani Gurung, an extremely pleasant person and chef. He paid great attention to our comfort and to the food served, going so far as to give suggestions of what to eat. He also got the kitchen to make a nice dosa for me, as a complimentary dish, since it was not included in the buffet. The salads were okay, nothing great to write home about. But the biriyani struck the right note, as did some of the other Indian dishes. The dessert spread was good, though I didn't have the stomach for it, after a heavy meal. Overall, Paprika was hot, as it should be.
Mahadevan Subramanian
Though the spread does not justify the price, every dish was great. The dessert spread was particularly disappointing, though the specific dishes on the day I dined, beetroot halwa, was delicious.

Low quality and poor buffet.  The food can be OK the first time you go, then it turns very low and nothing can be enjoyed.  It was a trap!  The food was very limited, Only a small bowl of apples as fruit and two un-tasty sweets.  A real shock!

Since it was our wedding anniversary I wanted to take my wife to a cozy place and surprise her and I decided on Paprika! Well they definitely live up to the expectations of their brand!<br/><br/>Right from the reception, we were warmly greeted and made us comfortable! They confirmed if we want to go with A la carte or buffet and we were served with a welcome drink (a mango juice). Since we are veg (I know the options may be limited) they served us with Palak Paneer Tikka and deep fried vegetables which were good!<br/><br/>I waiting to hear from them about their famous wood fire thin crust pizza! It was so delicious that we loved it to the last bite! We also tried on their live noodles section which was good as well!<br/><br/>The main course was filled with Organic salads, creamy salads, rice, dal, sambar and the usual stuff! They had around 8 varieties of pickles and everything tasted very good!<br/><br/>Desserts were nice as well! Overall a good delight!<br/><br/>It would be fair if more options are available for vegetarians!

We thought of checking out this place yesterday and after much thought we did, this was the best decision we've made in terms of food, they did have a splendid buffet for Rs.1499 but we chose the a la carte , the Mumbai masala sandwich and the noodles we had are extrodinary - no words to describe the exquisite taste our taste buds felt on that cool breezy winter evening , absolutely love it do check this place out ! Ambiance and great service to boost as well! Will return again soon !

Experience the best delicacies, handcrafted with the finest ingredients in the array of dishes they serve at the place. The experience will leave you dumbfounded. The service is pleasing and the food is beyond words. Definitely worth the try 💛

Hotel staffs as well as restaurant staffs and their services are appreciable. Compare to Mumbai Marriott, the restaurant area is small but comfortable.I had the breakfast, it was included in my room booking package. Buffet was there. The Food is gooood.

Had superb dinner and breakfast during my one night stay. Dinner had great variety of starter and main course. Indian and continental food variety. Dessert had delicious gajar halwa and rice kheer. Breakfast had all types of options north Indian south indian continental. Rooms are well lit and spacious too.

For a upscale hotel the restaurant look was pretty average, that way we were handled from being received to get to table seating was pretty average too. Food was above average like 3.5.

Much more continental, advice to south Indian chettinad lovers this is not a right place for u.. Better for continental style.. Love it😍😍😍

Great experience altogether and superb services. Specially by Mr. Abhijeet.<br/><br/>Food was delicious. Ambience is so cool.<br/>Would love to come here again and again.<br/><br/>

A good place for dinner! :) Happy tummy :) Pizza was great and ratatouille was so yummy! The mutton biriyani was not that great..the chaat items were terrible and not up to the mark of Marriott. The desserts were also not that good. But as in any star hotel, the service was excellent!<br/>Service-5/5<br/>Food-3.5/5<br/>Ambience-4/5

Been here for the first time and stepped in with lots of scepticism that being a veggie can't enjoy the full fare in sunday brunch which is partially true.<br/><br/>My only complaint - paprika is offering more exotic non veg dishes than veg . But I am floored by the veggie offerings especially live starters and wood fired thin crust pizza's. The striking feature here is live starter's counter where chef is dolling out 4 type s of veg starters 3 of them panneer based (pre marinated) which will be a perfect start when paired with minestrone soup having copious amounts of veggies.<br/><br/>Too little egg less desserts also let me down but the winner in egg less desserts is chocolate sable which will make any chocolate lover craving for more and ice cream.<br/><br/>It's heartening to see that in the live kitchen copper utensils are used for cooking which will render unique taste to some dishes and good for health as well.<br/><br/>Signed off with a South Indian filter coffee which striked the right notes for me.<br/><br/>PS- Don't miss out trying 8 types of pickles which are placed in traditional South Indian ceramic jaadi for which I am looking forward to visit again.<br/><br/>

We went to have dinner around 9:30 pm , dinner buffet.<br/>The service was beyond pathetic and with delays. The food was so not up to mark. Utter disappointing. Not as nice as the cafe is pictured to be.

We all just love the deadly combination of food and good music. Finding a good place for buffet on weekend could sometimes be a tough task. Isn't it?? Plus if you wanna enjoy live music, that makes the task even more tough. Not anymore. Paprika cafė is the best option to serve with your requirements. A live vocalist is there who makes your dining more exemplary.<br/><br/>Went there for Sunday brunch. This place is home to a potpourri of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. It is known for its exclusive food culture & traditional range of dishes. The mocktails & cocktails choices are interesting with wide range of cold and moderate drinks. They even ask you, if you wanna make your own drink.<br/><br/>They took into consideration every detail of ambience, from right seating to beautiful paintings.<br/><br/>Since good food is foundation of genuine happiness. Therefore, even moving to the kitchen they have well-trained experienced chefs which puts another stamp on its authenticity. Keeping the comfort of the customer in mind, the staff is trained to be hospitable and know everything about the food that they serve. There is a live Chaat counter, burger counter, dessert counters for the save.<br/><br/>I loved the dessert sections because it contains lot many options along with many varieties of cake. The richness of flavours & the traditional recipes are guaranteed to make you fall in love with Paprika Cafè. Also, the hotel has a valet parking, so not worry about your vehicle.<br/><br/>Highly Recommended!!<br/>Bon appetite:)

Was staying here so tried their Sunday Brunch. There are quite a lot of options like a general Sunday Brunch at any place but I felt that the food needed to be better for the price of the Brunch. Liked the Gosht Biryani and the burger. Tried the Octopus which was good but not excellent. The Japanese Omlette dish was the only thing that had my fancy. Wouldn't really recommend the Brunch!
Pranav Iyer
Was here on a team outing, the interiors are really plush and the decor is subtle and fancy. The spread had a lot of organic salad dishes, a huge variety of breads, props to the cute tiny baguettes. The starters and main course don’t have too many options if you’re a vegetarian. Main course consisted of a blend of indian, regional, continental and Asian cuisine options. Dessert was the most rewarding section with a wide array, from the humble gulab jamun to blueberry pavlova! We were served orange coolers on the table as well. The dining area also had a photography exhibition on the side.
