Review Vasco's - Chennai (Madras)

The spread is fantastic especially if you are a non-vegetarian. The vegetarian options were good enough with a decent spread. The waiters were proactively clearing off the plates and making sure to maintain the ambience consistently during the course of the lunch. The one contentious point would be the cost considering the fact that it is within a highly rated star hotel. We got the buffet option through an offer that got us a discount on the total bill. Opt for this place if cost is not a priority. There are also quite a few live counters that you can try out for some additional customisable options.

We went for team lunch to the location. The ambience is excellent. The staffs are so polite and are so helpful. The menu has more than enough number of items. Starters are around 5-8 in veg and 8-9 in non veg. Main course was mostly Indian rice, rajma and Chinese food too. Desserts were delicious. The overall experience is a memory.

I liked the ambiance and the environment than the food. Tables are arranged very spacious and lights are perfect those are the stand outs. Right opposite to the train station but, very quiet and very well maintained. Could see the luxury while entering the restaurant on the 3rd floor Over all was feeling good about it One suggestion would be a welcome drink can be included on the buffet would have been better 👌🏻

Good place to visit. Had lunch buffet. Ambience is very nice. Service is good. Table and seating are not that much comfortable. Easy approachable via Chennai metro. It's very very close proy to Ekaduthangal metro station. Valet parking available. Lift and wheel chair options available. They provide kids seat. Lunch per person is 1900 incl of taxes. They have tomoto basil veg soup, hot and sour chicken soup. Grill cheicken, fish salad, peanuts veg salads, cream potato. Veg starters - Grill pineapple, sweet potato, baby corn, veg roll Non veg starters - pallipalyam chicken, fish fingers, fish fry, squid, chicken lollipop Maincourse thye have veg, chicken, mutton biriyani. Chicken , mutton gravy. Panneer , dhal, white rice, rasam, curd, pappad, poriyal, stew etc. Desserts I feel less options. Ice cream Two pastries One payasam Pudding Overall good place to visit.

The ambience of the restaurant is remarkable. Plenty of seating available with ample amount of natural light. The variety of non-veg starters was good for the buffet. One disappointing thing was the heat of the vessels that held the food wasn't satisfactory. Some of the food items were just cold. Dessert options were good and plenty. But it's disappointing to see that coffee/tea aren't included in the buffet. The service members could be a little more courteous. They just looked annoyed to serve what we asked.

We visited Vasco’s Buffet of Hilton Chennai for the first time (DINNER - 6.30pm to 11pm) and it was a sudden plan made around 6.45pm. When googled Chef Veera was the first person to attend my call. His style of addressing customer doubts/request made him stand unique. We will definitely make a visit again especially for his hospitality👏🏼🤩 Food tastes were mind blowing I can feel the taste of each recipes whenever I think off. Overall our New year celebration went awesome✨🥳

This restaurant is located on the third floor of the Hilton's, Chennai. Although there are three different restaurants here, there isn't any name boards for this one and I had to recheck if I really came to the correct spot. I felt that the taste of the food here were really nice for some varieties, while the taste for some of the dishes were not justified. Although there was self serve option, there were some helpful waiters who served us well. One can have a really good view from this restaurant mainly the metro side view is something that I loved the most. Ambiance is really nice. Limited desert options in buffet was something that I felt was lagging. I would suggest people who love to have food peacefully to try this restaurant.

A very good premium buffet spot. Costs 1800/- per head. The service is really good and there were around 30 dishes, they also prepare a few dishes on request. The taste of most the dishes were exceptional.

Update: A pleasant turnaround! We went to the Vasco's restaurant in Hilton Chennai for Valentine's Day dinner. It was a rather disappointing experience in terms of the food arrangement, and I left a Google review describing the same. A few days later, we were contacted by the head chef Mr. Mothi Krishnan who apologised for the incident and invited us for a buffet meal. We were greeted by Chef Dinesh who guided us to a neatly arranged table of our choice. The whole experience exceeded expectations -- food items were segregated in terms of veg and non-veg and neatly labelled and colour-coded. Ladles were kept separate, dishes were hot, desserts were neatly cut into pieces and everything was just perfect; a complete transformation from our earlier experience. The chefs were kind enough to also present us with their special dishes which all were hot and tasted really nice! Overall, we loved the food, ambience and the professionalism. We sincerely hope that the same is followed on all days for all guests, maintaining the standards that Hilton stands for. Looking forward to dining at Vasco's again! Recommended!

Having stayed globally in many hiltons (US, middle east and india) , this one beats all in terms of the food. The breakfast is a perfect combination of South indian, North Indian, International and many other cuisines. I mean, its just not about the spread but the taste and freshness of the food was mouth watering. Though we paid for our breakfast, the service and quality was worth every single penny.

I went to Vascos for my team lunch. This was the first restaurant I visited in 2018. It was a good start I should say! Ambience Th restaurant is located on the third floor at Hilton and shares the outside space with— Vintage Bar and Ayna. This is a beautiful space with plants and pretty pools on top which couches are placed. Extremely soothing and relaxing. Food This was a huge spread and the dishes are spread across the restaurant (I love walking while eating, you obviously get to make space for what you eat next 🤷🏻‍♀️). Service We had extremely good service at the restaurant and people are always there everytime you need them. We gathered here for a farewell of a team member and they were sweet enough to give us a cake. Overall experience Great food and amazing experience. My team felt that there weren’t much options for the vegetarians and those who are adjusted just to the Indian palate and don’t explore other Cuisines. To me, clearly South Indian was missing. We were actually full from tasting everything from the spread. I recommend only those with good appetite to dine here since the spread is huge and you need long hours to eat here for price you pay!

I had an exceptional dining experience at this restaurant. The food was exquisite, the ambiance was delightful, and the service was impeccable. However, I believe they could enhance the dining experience even further by expanding their variety of starters. Overall, a fantastic place to indulge in fine dining.

Few starters (5 veg and 5 non veg). But was good. Pasta was bland(Got explanation from Shibu for the same ) . biryani needs huge improvement (Shibu - Executive chef came and explained that they wanted to make sind biriyani and it will taste like this and explained he will take our feedback seriously and not gonna repeat the biryani). Dessert is good. Brownie was not part of dessert by since we asked for they were courteous enough to bring from ground floor ) . Service and Ambience Excellent
