Morning π buffet breakfast β was from 730 to 10:00 hours π
I went to colony for breakfast π₯π³ buffet with my friends as guest.
First impression, everything was neat tidy and displayed well. Every menu carried a name tag to it for identification.
We took our table and started with beacon, chicken π and beef π π€€ sausages along with which took egg cheese π§ masala ombellete π³ from the live counter.
Next round was few veggies, pan π₯ cake, waffle π§ with cream and maple syrup along with chocolate π« sauce, honey π― added.
After which I added some chicken sandwiches π₯ͺ, corn π½ flakes with almonds, walnut, sun flower seeds, chia seeds to it. In π₯ milk options we had skimmed milk, soy milk, buttermilk. Mainly to say π fig and honey π― milkshake impressed me the best π I had 2 glasses π€ of it.
With this I was mostly done, π― on the other side from South Indian there was masala dosai, idly, idiyappam pal, vadai, chutney, sambhar, idly podi, poori.
π Dessert π¨ was again a lot..but my tummy was full. Some day again I will come back to explore more.
Only improvement was tomato sauce, mustard sauce and other dips were not there in menu for sausage π , beacon and beef.
Service was very professional and prompt.
Car parking was with valet parking π

The ambience is very nice and there was live music for Sunday lunch. The staff are courteous and service is good. The live counters and starters served at the table taste well. The main dishes on the counter were not at all fresh or attractive and can be improved.
Lovely all-day lounge at the Raintree. Daily buffet breakfast daily and a la carte meals are pretty good. Decor is nice. Love their Anglo-Indian themed wall deco pieces.
The lounge can be full at peak meal hours. Parking is available on site and at the curb.
It is great place make sure you are visiting, all are great food, service and ambience.
Colony is the all day lounge at The Raintree Hotel on St. Mary's Road in Chennai. They serve a mean breakfast buffet which is widespread as it is versatile and satisfying.
Went for a team dinner. Food and service was excellent. Place is little cramped, otherwise had a nice time.
We keep going back to Colony every once in a while. The food is good. We usually do 'a la carte'. The one item we always do is coconut gassi.
We are vegetarians and while there vegetarian menu is not huge, all the dishes taste great. Portions are huge.
Shout out to Neetu, our wait staff today. Very patient, courteous and kept serving with a smiling face. You feel like an important guest. This had been our experience each time.
