One of the best place to visit in Chennai. If you are looking for a place next to beach and wish to spend quality time this is the place for you. Abience is nice, food is delicious and the sound of waves takes the whole experience to another level. Kudos to the owner
Just wow..
Food is soo fresh always... her love & hospitality is just amazing...
Her food is unimaginably good... Her hospitality s awesome... We love the place, now after my child’s birthday there, this place s a sentiment for us...
We used to go ther b4 marriage , became our love spot after marriage... wen we had our child, we wanted to celebrate our lo’s 1st birthday ther..
I’l tel, trust her with the spread.. jus explain your family, their option of food & your budget.. rest leave it to her.. may b the menu might b new to you, but they wil sit on your guests’ taste buds forever...
she does it for the love of food.. & you can feel it... we so love her & her bro & the team... food s always fresh & yummy...
she treats you always like her favourite kid who returned after a along vacation...
I can say the menu is bit under priced.. for the love & purity of food they serve ther.... wen v leave the place v always wish & pray this place should b ther unaffected by any of our country’s most fluctuating political conditions... tho now a days we couldn’t go ther so much due to my kid’s school life started, but always wen night falls, we both my husband & myself end up talking about this place... & wish to go ther soon some time...
Ah, the food.., it’s Persian, it’s creamy & yummy.. don’t approach the food wit predefined looks, just close your eyes, smell & taste it.. that’s how you should b introduced to a new cuisine, & yes! You wil fall in love with Persian food.. tat fish & prawn.. still I can taste it.. wow... simple chicken fries, can it taste any better??! Seriously, she sprinkles her magic to all tat they serve...
Loved the ambience and food. Great place. Had a good time with friends. Worth the drive from city to the place. Courteous staff.
Seriously , i'm addicted to your taste !! Finely, crafted Persian dishes which i have never tasted before & i hope no one could make it perfect like them :) A place where one could listen to their heart , Damn i'm confused what to praise up either the ambiance or the Food :-)
And , i must quote about Mr. Dhanush here :P A perfect gentleman put up at perfect place !!
place looks so homely and beautiful as ever and the food with your added personal touch is delicately wonderful !!!
I read reviews of Shiraz Art Cafe recently and thought I will visit. Had a wonderful experience. The ambience was wonderful. The service was excellent - quiet, efficient and non intrusive. The food was delicious. I love Iranian / Persian food and am so happy that there is an Iranian restaurant in Chennai. I can't remember most of the names of the dishes I tried - I am bad at names - but I will try to describe them. I tried Guava juice, which was thick like slush - it was wonderful. Then for starters, I had a kind of chips with eggplant dip. It was wonderful - the eggplant dip was awesome. For the main course, I had rice with split peas in tomato sauce accompanied by fried onions, spicy pickle, fried potato strips and salad. I also had orange peel rice - it was sweet and tangy and subtle and awesome. Ask for that when you visit. For dessert, I had baklava cake. It was delicious. I had a long chat with the restaurant owner about Iranian cuisine. I heard from him that they have a wonderful buffet on Sundays. I can't wait to try. Shiraz Art Cafe is a wonderful place to go out for lunch or dinner with your family and friends. It is also a wonderful place to take your favourite person for a date for a long, quiet conversation with wonderful food.
Awesome ambience.. Food tastes entirely different.. We just loved it.. Iranian ? You will get the best Shiraz..
Everyone and everything was great l loved food
Totally in love with the place and the food...one of the best in chennai...
Loved the new location, food as usual finger licking good and i must say a cup of Shiraz tea in the evening with friends and the love ones with a beautiful view and the sea breeze in your hair will make your day.
An excellent location for a wonderful dining experience. A superflous ambience with lovely hosts. Hoping to visit again soon!
We hosted my daughter's class -family get together here and it was a big hit! Lovely ambience, great food, superb location.Thank you Nasrin for making our evening so special!
Had a nice time with you guys today! Awesome food with your smiley serves! Great ambience! Best hospitality! 5/5****** Will come again
The best part about the restaurant is their location. The restaurant is located on one of the lesser crowded and cleaner beaches. You can sit in the outdoors and listen to the waves while you have your meal, pretty calming.
Food is great. I would recommend to go for the Iranian cuisine since that's their speciality, although they also offer other continental and Indian dishes.
Guava Barley juice and Shiraz art tea is a must, give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
I like their hummus, though pita is more like chips, not bread. I have tried all of their veg Iranian dishes and they are absolutely delicious. So are the non veg ones. You can always ask the owners for their recommendation, they are very nice and always keen on suggesting the right thing for you.
A cozy place for a romantic lunch date. The place is filled during weekends and it's better to make a booking for table. Rates are above average and the quality and taste depends from dishes. Pastas and starters are personal preferences here.
Absolutely love the view and tea of this cafe. Ideal place to go in the evening and sit outdoors. The cool breeze of the sea and sound of waves splashing on the beach is soothing!
The Shiraz special tea is really good - black tea with mint and lime.
The food is also good. I’ve tried the starters like hummus, corn on toast and chicken bbq.
With a class indoor ambience and a pleasant outdoor seating, this place is worth a try. But if the food were more tastier and satisfied taste buds to a greater extent, this would have been a must visit place ... !!!
Looking for Authentic Persian food ? Go to this quaint lil restaurant in Neelangarai . Also, don't forget to order their extremely refreshing Shiraz tea & the persian ice cream. I wouldn't suggest the Baklava cake, esp if you're a baklava lover like me.
Very tasty irani food ..good ambience ..on the beach.
The owners a very friendly.. if you are a meat lover try chelo kabab with rice melts in the mouth ..golden fried prawns was delicious..please ask for lemon tea.
Will visit again
I'm writing this review on May 25, 2022. This place is permanently closed but the restaurant authority is least bothered to update the info that it has been closed permanently. No more Shiraz art café on both the places where the Google maps shows us. When I visited the place a month ago I found the place was being renovated, not sure whether the restaurant will be back or not. So trying to visit this place is a waste of time. Just forget about the place for now. We could only just appreciate their tea but not drink it. I miss this place too...ok bye.
Very good ambience. Tasty food. If you are new to the Persian food style, she helps you get the right choice.
Good featured theme place for food lovers. Foods were perfectly Iranian. Must vist place for foodies.
Tasty and delicious authentic Persian signature dishes along with aromatic tea...and we thoroughly enjoyed. Worth for money......Best thing it is having indoor and Outdoor Seating arrangements and make a friendly atmosphere with ample place. Beach view is awesome cool nature.

Mouth watering family style Persian food. Very good ambience and also outdoor sit outs. We had gone on a valentines day and it was decorated with roses and candles.
One of the fine restaurants in Chennai with an Iranian roots in it's Tate buds.we can find a wide variety of Persian dishes.they are quiet spicy and different in preparation compared to Indian dishes .the service is too good and food is served with love.

Very limited menu. The chicken lasagna I ate was superb but at the same time we didn't like the hummus or the pita bread.
Little slow in service, food taste is good. I suggest if you are hurry please try some other day. All food are made on order so it takes some time to serve you even after ordering. We can have food in outdoor service area or indoor service area. If indoor we can checkout the collection of photos, scultpure, nicely arranged dinner set, juice cups as a part of interior decor. Don't go with high expection so that you can come out with really experience.Be there before sunset to enjoy beach view.
Good Persian Cuisine!!. It tasted authentic. Quite and new restaurant. Had a lovly time
It's expensive.
Good environment
Great English food.
They take a little time to make food. But time is taken for a purpose and the purpose is delivered to your taste buds. The food is made with true heart that reflects in their taste. The Shiraz tea is their trade mark. One can have 2 of it easily to be precise.. that good it is. I dont exaggerate any food. The food MUST taste what it is named after and then we decide how it tastes. In Chennai its hard to find the former. We had baby corn fritters and Calamari in starters. The Gram floor paste using which they were covered and fried. It was of apt color. Not fried too little .. just perfect color. That gives it required crispy texture and hence the taste. Baklava cake. JUST WOW is the word. TOO fresh to miss it if u are cake or dessert lover. Then I had mutton Shank and jewel rice. The Mutton was long piece with bone. Like you get in Kabsa lehem. This was absolutely out of the world. The masala used was cooked well. The art here is not to put a masala and make a mutton. People miss a point that the masala too ought to be cooked nicely to give the aroma and the taste to the meat. This review is solely mine and no where influenced by and third party. I am no where connected to the restaurant or its owners. Finally the Shiraz tea.. what can I say. Words are less to describe the aroma of it stuck in my head. Note - DONT visit this place in a hurry. Missed a say on the view. The view is very soothing right in front of the sea and breeze.
