Review Tuscana Pizzeria On Ecr - Chennai (Madras)

Shiva Ranjhani
We loved loved loved the food.. though it's a late review... Looking at the images made me drooling over their foods... Yes.. the menu price is bit pricey but I guess that what every authentic Italian restaurant charges! Worth the price!! We loved every bit of it and their food made our anniversary day more spl! ❤️ Also they were sweet enough to give risotto for our kid which was on the house! Thank you 🥰

Home of the best classic Italian thin crust pizza. The staff are very courteous and are ready to help you with the smallest of things to make you feel pampered. Special shout out to our waiter Mr Sujal and the manager Mr Feroz for listening to our feedback the first time around and incorporating it.

It’s located on a shopping complex located very next to Sea Cliff Avenue on ECR probably 350 meters from Akkarai Junction. For people coming from Pondicherry, it’s located right opposite to Shell Petrol Bunk before Akkarai junction. Parking wise they have got enough space available and they have got tables on Ground and First Floors. First Floor ambience is very cosy with very good lighting inside and there’s good amount of space between tables to move around too. Food wise, they make thin crust Pizzas with many different varieties available and their ‘Al Funghi’ vegetarian Pizza is a must try and price of it was also less compared to others. It’s better to order 12 inch pizzas instead of 9, as price difference is only around 50 rupees. Only reason for 4 stars is its high price, for 2 adults it could easily cost between 1000-1500!

The pizzas, pastas and garlic breads here are authentic. In fact mind blowing. But the restaurant needs some extra bit of cleaning. The experience goes for a toss because of the tables being unclean, though no one was there at the time we went in.

Nice place to eat pizzas & pastas. Service was very fast and good. The meat was succulent & juicy. Wood fired pizza was flavorful with right blend of meat and cheese. Garlic bread was crisp.

Was quite disappointed overall. The ambience of the place now looks worn out and dull. There were just two staffs at the restaurant who looked overwhelmed and exhausted but still tried to please. While in conversation with them, they revealed that many staff were on leave(probably including the main chef). The food was served so late and they didn't bring in the main course together but about 15 ~20 min apart. Didn't help with the appetite. The food was nothing like the Tuscana I remember it to be several years back. Garlic bread and artichoke dip was ok. The penne was partly uncooked. Even French fries turned out so oily. And none of this justifies the price tag which now in contrast to the quality looks outrageous. Giving 4 stars hoping all this will be fixed soon.

Best place to hit in at any time.. very calm and pleasant environment. Food tastes like heaven.

Spacious interior. Open view of the road gives horizon I have taken pizzas, pasta, potato based snacks like wedges, fries, desserts and garlic bread. Almost all the dishes taste good and up to the mark.

Overall good and service want to improve Atmosphere 100% satisfied. Price wise medium I think little High But need to improve customer satisfaction. Food taste wise superb. Menu card look very nice, something different menu card not a item(food). Sooooo, not bad good 😊👍🏻, thank you....

Worth for money!! I just ordered tiramisu, Americana pizza and iced lemon tea. They make heart shaped pizza on valentine's Day. It actually made my day.😋 Feel free to visit the place. I have went for ECR branch.

The Lasagna is a must try at this outlet. Tuscana franchises aren't cost friendly Italian restaurants but the taste friendly ones for sure 🙈 I've been visiting either of their branches at least once every month. Life is easier with Pizzas and Pastas for me 💯

Ever heard of beef pizza??... Well u get that here at "Tuscana Pizzeria"... Located on ECR, Akkarai...Ordered garlic bread with cheese for starters and then had the Bolognese pizza ( Slow cooked ground beef bolognese and mozzarella topped with fresh spinach and parmesan) and the Americana pizza ( Sliced chicken, button mushrooms, onions, tomatoes and pesto, garnished with fresh lettuce)..The food's good but the place is conjusted for space, I guess they have seats upstairs... A must visit.. 👌👌👍( P. S. You can create ur own pizza) 😉
Swetha Vivek
Good food. Something was off with the ambience as compared to it's old branch in KNK road.

I am very disappointed with the quality and taste of today’s food. I have been to the restaurant many times before but looks like they have not kept up with their standards. Ordered Aastha panner pizza, garlic bread, spicy wedges , Lasagne and Tiramisu.<br/>Pizza was just bland and decorated with corriander leaves. I have no idea why they have added so many corriander leaves(see pics).Lasagne was too cheesy and tasted stale; Spicy wedges looked and tasted like cheap version of a chili potato; Tiramisu tasted off, kind of soggy(couldn’t believe they got Tiramisu wrong).

We expected top quality for the price but were really disappointed by the quality of food. We got a pizza with onions whose skin was not peeled properly and mushrooms that were dry and dehydrated and tasteless. It’s understandable if you go to some local pizza place if such things happen but cannot accept for the price we pay at Tuscana. When I tried to explain to the waiter all I got was attitude and denial. Would never go back or recommend. The two stars are for the garlic bread. Not to Mention the flies that added to the annoyance.

Went to this place for lunch. Good ambience open area and good outside view. Chicken Tikka Pizza was so good and the crust was nice and thin, topping was great. Good working staff and attentive service. All in all a good stop to stop by.
Robert Samy
The food is below average and expensive. The quantity is very less. The main dishes were served one at a time and the rest has to wait. Looks like the management is changed recently.

Yummy in tummy. Their pizza, chessy french fries is soo good. One can try. View also good, very pleasant to sit and enjoy your meals at the same time
Charandeep Singh
The food , everything we ordered , was yummy. One of the best places for garlic bread. Crispy. Toasty. The way it should be.<br/>Service was pretty fast too.<br/>The restaurant should be little more child friendly though. Their staircase and the grill around it is dangerous.

Excellent service thanks for your team and excellent food pizza really good and excellent team👫👫👫 thanks for team good job pasta really good

After a long drive in ECR, I came here with my family for dinner. <br/>What I ordered :<br/>1) Chicken Lasagna<br/>2) Roma Pizza<br/>The bolognaise in the chicken lasagna was really good. However the white sauce along with it had no salt in it, which made the whole lasagna tasteless. <br/>The Roma is a pizza topped with Buffalo mozzarella cheese, black olives, Prouschitto ham, Parmesan cheese and marinara sauce. The pizza looked aesthetically appealing but the taste however did not match the appearance. The marinara sauce was bland. It did not have sufficient amount of cheese on it, making the whole pizza eating experience very disappointing. <br/>Tuscana pizzeria used to be one of my favourite places to eat when I was in school. Coming back to this place after so many years, the dinner experience was disappointing. The quality and standards of the tuscana brand as such has reduced very much, when compared to before. <br/>To add....service here needs a lot of improvement.

I just picked up a pasta n it was pretty bad. There was too much sauce n less of spaghetti. Work on it. It was a disappointment. Looking for an inprovement next time. Thanks.

My grade 10 farewell was conducted here and the staff was very nice even though we were making a lot of noise. They blocked their entire upper floor for us and were very quick with the food

I wish this place was more hospitable. <br/>The staff looks like they don’t care, the service has lets-get-this-over-with-and-go-home attitude. <br/>No music. <br/>Though the seating has view of the ECR, it doesn’t set the mood right.<br/>I have been to the other branches and found them much respectable to the guests and the quality of food. To get the attention of the staff(who were mostly on their phones) we haf to either used raised voices or waive frantically. <br/><br/>The portion size for the Aglio-Olio pasta was a joke, maybe meant for a child. <br/>Had to send it back because it was stone cold. <br/>There’s only so much you can do to go wrong with a pasta so simple. 7 ingredients. Pasta-garlic-olive oil- parsley-Parmesan-lemon-chilly flakes/pepper. <br/>They couldn’t get that right. <br/><br/>The pizza was comparatively fine. <br/>Olive and onion pizza- the olive/onion tapenade was alright, toppings fine. <br/><br/>The starters, which came after the main course- Baked mushrooms-was the only thing(which we ordered), which matched its description to the menu. <br/>Also, we had initially ordered for ricotta dumplings, which we were told were unavailable. <br/><br/>A totally disappointing dining experience. <br/><br/>Ambiance 2<br/>Food 1<br/>Service 1<br/><br/>Overall 1.5

It was a total disappointment to go to Tuscana for lunch. We arrived to the restaurant at 2:50 pm. It was 3:40 when the first dish came to the table. The other three came after that each one much later than the first one. So in total we waited for more than an hour for the last dish which by the way never came to the table.<br/><br/>Terrible service.

Pizzas were good, but unfortunately, the deliver guy struggled a lot to find the address (<br/>very easy to find. Indeed, opposite to a very famous complex)

Food was decent. For the cost I expected it to be better. Not the best and not the worst either. Lot of better option available if ur looking for Italian
Jacob Pradeep Norman
It isn't easy to get French fries and thin crust 🍕s with lotsa mozzarella to taste bad and flavourless but Tuscana have managed to do it. There was just us at 8 PM on a Sunday and the air-conditioning was so bad there wasn't any change in temperature when we stepped outside. This was an expensive mistake.
Prithvi Chandrasekhar
Went here after a long time and was nice to see some gluten free options Among everything else . But sadly, the quality and taste has drastically changed from the Tuscana of a few years back. The food was oily and generally greasy. The lamb pepperoni was tasteless and ofcourse the overall flavour has dropped. The reason why I say this is the price point is on the higher side and the food doesn’t justify it as much.

Last time, it was Onesta for Father's Day. This time, it's Tuscana for Mother's Day! So anyway, we were driving past ECR when my mom saw this snug little pizzeria, and so we made a pit stop for dinner here. I've got to say, the look and decor were so cute and cosy! Now towards the food! Arr!<br/><br/>1) Zucchini and Mushroom Pizza - This was the only pizza we ordered since my mother's not such a fan of pizza, but after this, it changed! The crust was almost like Onesta's, thin and crisp, and the toppings and cheese were mouth-watering!! All I can say is: Thank you Tuscana, for improving my mother's perspective on pizza! <br/><br/>Food - 4.4/5<br/><br/>Ambience - 5/5<br/><br/>Service - 4/5<br/><br/>Expectation - 4.4/5<br/><br/>Recommendation - 5/5

I have been to the outlet in khader Nawaz Khan road, which I loved. This was also equally good in terms of food. We ordered their thin crust pizza. Mojito and brushetta! It was really good. The pasta was also nice, but would have been better if it was more creamer. The place is a bit highly priced but definitely a good eat out.

This is a brilliant place to eat in with sumptous Italian pizza and pasta. The crew is attentive and good. The food was tasty. Three of us ate here, and food was great.

Pizzas I had ordered via Zomato were cold. There wont be any repeat orders until it gets sorted out. Thought Rosso Piccante Pizza would be a bit fiery as advertised but turned out too tangy(and cold).  Overall a very disappointing experience:(

taste was okay.. prices were not. have given separate feedback on the sms link

Visited Tuscana on a Saturday en route a drive along ECR. We wanted to escape crowds and landed there for an early lunch around 12.30 p.m.The place was empty as we were quite early.Ordered a garlic bread and cheesy fries for starters,Fresh Lime Soda and a Midi Pizza. The Garlic Bread was good.. not too hard, not too soft, fresh and hot.Cheesy fries were average.I have definitely had better.Midi pizza was excellent. Not too thick a crust, not overcooked, and soft enough.Pizza base also seemed fresh and the pizza had sufficient cheese and toppings.<br/>Would definitely visit Tuscana once more to try their pastas. Cheesy fries need to be improved.

After so many hits and misses, my choice of pizza search ended here! It was a very random stop for us while driving on the ecr and I don’t regret it a bit ! We ordered a 12’’ chicken tikka pizza and a cafe mocha . The pizza was so yum that i drool thinking about it even now , it had the perfect thin crust( I hate thick chewy crusts having a separate taste on its own ) , dollops of cheese , loaded with the right amount of chicken ! My friend who isn’t a fan of pizza ate a slice more than me and that will tell how good it was 😁 cafe mocha was good ( please change the glass though 🙈) ! The ambience I thought was very similar to cafe extasi Pondy ! One thing to improve : service , they were so so slow , making it a hard choice when on the run !

Is this the best PIZZA in the town ? Hell Yeah...!!!!!! 😛<br/><br/>If you love Italian food then this is go to place for you. Everything they serve is prepared with utmost perfection. Additionally you have a choice to customize your pizza.<br/><br/>The outlet in Akkarai is not much crowded you can enjoy some ME time with your favorite Italian dishes.<br/><br/>Food - Yummmmm<br/>Staff - Courteous<br/>Service - Quick<br/>Ambience - Decent<br/>Cost - approx 1200/- for two<br/><br/>With - Amit Gupta

I had ordered a classic tuscan salad. The packaging was very good and the dressing was given separately which is a clever thing to do. But the salad had too much lettuce. Almost half the salad was lettuce. If I wanted to eat so much lettuce I would have gone for a Caesar salad. But otherwise it was good. The garlic breadsticks that accompanied the salad was delicious. I suggest the restaurant to introduce more lettuce free salads. Since the bread quality is really good, you guys can easily pull off a classic panzanella. Looking forward to try more from the menu.

The delivery driver must have tipped the boxes sideways because our pizzas were smashed.

Located bang on ECR, just after the junction at Akkarai. It doesnt get too crowded on a weekday night even on a Friday. <br/>We had ordered an Anti Pasta and a classic thin crust pizza (both vegetarian). We absolutely loved the starter. The pizza was above average - I probably didn’t like some of the toppings but otherwise it seemed fresh. Chocolate milkshake was extremely sweet so I wont recommend it. <br/>The place seemed clean and we liked the ambience as well. Service was fairly quick and there is really nothing to complain about. Menu could have had a little more choice.

Pizza was cold

Okay, so I went there because of all the other reviews and I have to say I was impressed.<br/>My friend and I went there around 3 PM and the Akkrai outlet was not busy at this time.<br/>Between the two of us, we ordered:<br/>- Spicy Fries<br/>- Cheesy Fries<br/>- Al Funghi Pizza<br/>- Midi Pizza<br/>- Mint Strawberry Fizz<br/><br/>So, the food was really really good(taste and quantity), the response from the staff was really good and the delivery was fast(we were starving lol). The aesthetics were also on point.<br/><br/>Would highly recommend(Planning on going to the Nungambakkam outlet too soon)<br/>

Food was very delicious, my wife always wanted to taste Italian cuisine and she loved it. Specially Tiramisu desert is marvellous.. Nice & wonderful place too.

Had ordered for veg lasagna and molten chocolate cake..both things were good in terms of taste...but the quantity of lasagna was too less for the price of the dish. Be advised dont order lasagna from here its not worth the money.

My first visit to this place thanks to my friends. I really like the way you can take a look at the open kitchen while going upstairs. We went here for dinner quite late. The staff welcomed us and were very courteous. <br/>We decided to make our own customized pizza. And loved the way it turned out! Also ordered some bacon layered fries. <br/>Overall, it was a short and pleasant visit and I'd like to give this another try. Cheers!

Worst place for hang out. Service is dead slow and they have no idea how to run a restaurant.. Giving important to foreigners only.. I guess they are not serving Indians for free of the cost anyway.. 😡

had a very pleasant experience in restaurant <br/><br/>Staff was very courteous and understood how to deal with customers very well. It was so testy . Thanks to my friend AARAV refer me . Really I enjoyed on that day with my friend's.

This is my second visit to tuscana ever  Best food, great service. I love their dolce, especially the molten cake and tiramisu but I'm missing the zucatto for a long time actually It was my favourite.
Mathangi Balasubramanyan
Really yumm hand tossed pizza. But was expecting to have the conventional crust pizza but all were thin crust ones. Delicious ravioli pasta. But i felt the quantity was less for the price.was nice to try multigrain base for the pizza . overall nice ambience n yumm food. Planning to try the nungambakkam outlet soon.

I like their authentic Pizza, it's one of the best Pizza's available in town. Bit pricey but worth the price.<br/>Ambience is good; get the road facing seating view.

Worst pizza ever had cold hard n dry n delivered also 30 Mts late . My kid was most disappointed having ordered a nicely mouse pizza . Much money wasted on a weekend treat
Nadhiya Senthilnathan
Loved the chicken tikka pizza. The pasta was okay. Not very crowded. Elite group of people. Little slow service so can't choose this place of in hurry . Ambience was good

Very good food. The variety is very decent and service is excellent. The kids can experience making the pizza and we had a lovely evening. The owner was very nice and friendly. Overall a nice place for family and kids.

Went for a kinda Sunday dinner date. The place was pretty much deserted luckily. Ambience was good with nice music. Had a breakfast pizza which had generous amount of bacon and tasted amazing. Also had a bolognese pizza which was average. Overall, had a good dining experience.

Wasn’t up to the standard of the branch at Chamier’s Road <br/>Pizza was a bit soggy. Flavours didn’t come through as such. <br/>But the staff was courteous

Visiting this famous or rather Royal Pizza chain for the first time. Located on the East coast road(They have around 4 branches in the city) this is a unique restaurant for Pizza lovers. A bit on the costlier side but does it matter? Especially if you are a foodie who craves for good food, let alone Pizza. I tried a lot in the Menu, not willing to confuse you with its entirety. Though I have to mention everything was fresh and are a value for money. I like to specifically recommend the "Caramellizzato". I personally haven't had a better Pizza ever. The service was pretty decent. This place could be a smart choice if you are on this breezy and lovely part of the City.

Visited the ECR outlet on a surprisingly empty Friday evening..Ordered their Ruspante Classic Pizza, with strawberry lemonade mocktail and Tiramisu cake..<br/><br/>The pizza was crisp and well done..the mocktail wasn't too sweet or sour..it had a perfect balance..the cake was a tad soggier than usual but great taste..Worth a visit for their pizzas and other main course

Tuscana Pizzeria serves Italian food at its best. I ordered for home delivery and the service was outstanding as was the food. A half and half pizza was ordered with Americana being one half and Frutti Di Mare being the other half and a chicken capers and mushrooms pasta was ordered. The pizza had a thin crispy crust and was steaming hot when it was delivered. The pasta was creamy and had just the right amount of cheese. The price was a bit on the higher side but the food was of exceptional taste and quality so overall it was a value for money.
Sreeja Raveendran
If you are looking for a quiet lunch or dinner, head out to Tuscana on the ECR. Easily accessible for those who live by OMR, this place has the most authentic bacon strips ever. The beef lasgna is just yum and the chocolate cake can make you go drool. The portions are just enough for one, the best I like about is the wheat based Pizza. They have ample seating upstairs and this place is ideal for those who prefer team lunches as well.

Tried this place for the first time. In summary, okay food with a steep price.<br/><br/>We ordered:<br/><br/>Frutti De Maar Pizza 12" pizza - We ordered this pizza with multi-grain base, but were served with regular base. We asked to get it changed. And, the replaced pizza looked the SAME at base. So, I think, the base segregation is a moot point here. The taste was okay, nothing spectacular.<br/><br/>Spaghetti with meat balls - Meat balls were the size of peanuts, and chewy as chewing gum. We ordered thid meal for our 3 year old, and he refused to eat the "chicken balls" because he couldn't chew it well. He had only the spaghetti. Quantity was too small for the price they charge.<br/><br/>Service - Too slow. We were the only people waiting to be served in the entire outlet - and even then they goofed up with the order.<br/><br/>Value for money - NOT worth the trouble. There are plenty decent eateries around this area offering better food at the same/lesser rate.<br/><br/>My verdict - Not visiting this place again.
Ananya Bandyopadhyay
We had hoped to visit this place a little sooner but well, it's better late than never. A very easy to locate, on the way to Mahabalipuram and Pondicherry and of nice ambiance. We were seated on a beautifully presented table. Loved the presentation, crockery and loved the green paper towels. 😘<br/>It is a real good place to catch up with friends because of the location as well. By the road you get to shop, go-kart or even watch a movie( a few kilometers away). <br/>Coming to the food( the main concern). It was a 50-50. We ordered two dishes, for two people( Not sufficient, in case you are here for lunch/ dinner.) 1. Golden ricotta dumplings: YUMMY! Loved the cheese inside. Best part was, it being only cheesy inside. No potato or corn or anything. Only cheese. Period. Good crust outside with some marinara sauce. Overall was amazingly delicious. <br/>2. Rosso Piccante Pizza: Staff informed it to be spicy and we showed them the green signal. Well, it was spicy alright because it was the Schezwan sauce they put on the pizza. We had hoped for a spic@y marinara but sadly it wasn't. Also, being a cheese lover, we want cheese on pizza, which was mostly missing. And it was a little dry. I used olive oil to undo that. So the second dish was not so delightful. Spiciness was good, but for a pizza- points will have to go down.<br/>Surely a place which I will revisit. Do try the dumplings, cheese lovers! ;-)

I think Tuscana got its groove back. It lost it somewhere in the middle, somehow, but it is back with a new menu and it is great. The new menu retains many of its old classics, but the flavor and the extra oomph is back. My friend is on a Keto diet, and so she ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana, which we both loved. I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana, and that was amazing as well, and it is Keto. I have been eating Fergjays Chicken ever since it launched, as it was conceived and marketed by fitness enthusiasts, and it has never failed me or my palette or my waistline. I love the Spaghetti Alla Carbonara, as many restaurants tend to get it wrong, I don’t know why, but it is amazing here. On cheat days, I eat the Classic Chocolate cake from here and I love it. I also think its cool that they have an eggless option and it tastes the same.
Chintan
This outlet doesn't serve wood fire pizzas. Their menu card should be revised in this case. Thin crust pizza is ordinary and Lasagna is not at all good. No value for money

Tired of having to dislocate your jaw to bite into the typical thick pizzas? Try the thin crust pizzas from Tuscana. They are so full of flavour. I am so glad we went there after a friend suggested that place. We went to the one on ECR. First we ordered the egg drop chicken soup. Next we ordered the mushroom bruschetta and a seafood pizza which is called frutti di mare on a multi grain base. It was amazing. They have 4 choices of bases.... regular, multigrain, gluten free whole wheat!!!! Did you know that? <br/>The soup was so flavourful and just right. Felt very comforting like my mom's chicken soup. The bruschetta was delicious. I must mention that their service was exceptional, especially Jai Surender. We ended our meal with a hot cup of espresso which was perfect. I will highly recommend Tuscana to all of you. Must visit. I will be regular there now.

Ended here for a nice huge spread lunch..<br/>Its right in the main road so super easy to spot.. As soon as you enter.. There's a seating area.. But the first floor has a HUGE seating area with a good view of the road..<br/>The seating are nice and comfy.. Coming to the food.. We had the Minestrone Al Pesto soup.. The soup had chunky bits of veggies which gave a good bite to the soup.. It came with nice buttery bread..<br/><br/>We tried the Classic Tuscana Salad.. Yummy salad with loads of crunchy lettuce.. Carrots.. Olives.. dried Cranberries(my favorite).. They even had nuts to mix up the texture of the salad and have a good crunch.. Dressed with olive oil and cheese!!<br/><br/>We then had the Golden Ricotta Dumplings.. These were yummy cheese balls which came with a thick tomato sauce and olives.. The sauce was yummm and just gave enough of flavor to the fired cheese..<br/><br/>We then tried the pizzzaaa!!<br/>They have 4 different bases 😍😍 we tired the classic thin crust.. And gluten free.. And let me tell you.. The gluten free tasted YUMZA!!<br/>First the Aastha Panner Tikka.. It was a nice twist to combine Italian with Indian flavors.. A nice thin gluten free base topped with yummy panner tikka.. Yumyum..<br/>We then tried the Onion and black olive.. Well I was hesitant to try this thanks to the fact like I dont love olives.. We tried this on the gluten free base.. But the pizza was super yummy.. The olive tasted yummy combined with bell peppers and sun dried tomatoes!!<br/><br/>We then then tried a couple more pizzas with the classic thin crust..<br/>We tried the Verdure Miste.. This was WOW.. A pesto base sauce combined with a lot of broccoli.. Zucchini.. And bell peppers topped off with ricotta cheese.. Just amazing!!<br/><br/>And the BEST for last..<br/>We tried the Caramellizzato.. This is the BEST pizza you'll eat.. The different flavor will blow your mind.. This is an amazing example of how few and simple things can just make the pizza.. And this was first of its kind that I ate.. A thin crust topped with caramelized onions which almost had a hint of sweetness.. With amazingly done pears and it comes with honey!! A completely different pizza which everyone should try!!<br/><br/>We also tried the Three cheese Ravioli.. This just had cheese on cheese on cheese.. So if you're a die hard cheese fan.. You'll probably love it!<br/>We also tried the All'Arrabbiata.. Very well done pasta paired with a tomato sauce with a hint of spice.. It was yumyum!!<br/><br/>We also tried the Eggplant Parmigiana.. This was again a little different.. Evenly sliced egg plants.. Topped with mozzarella and tomato sauce.. Served with pasta..<br/>The pasta was al dente.. And it made a perfect bite with the almost melt away eggplants..<br/><br/>For desserts (yes after all that there was still room for dessert 😂😂)<br/><br/>We tried the Tiramisu.. Oh good lord.. Amaazziinngg tiramisu.. The strong coffee paired with the smooth mascarpone cream was just the best thing.. It had a nice flavor combinations and they went together amazingly!<br/><br/>And we ended this lavish spread with Nutella Pizza.. Yup.. Nutella pizza.. Thin crust pizza base topped with generous amount of nutella.. Topped with thinly sliced bananas and choco chips are heaven! Nothing can beat that.. Amazing amazing!!<br/><br/>The staff are very polite.. They get the work done soon and are always ready to serve you better..<br/>An amazing place for some good Italian food!!<br/>And if you've gotta try something new.. Dont forget to ask for the Caramellizzato pizza!!<br/><br/>❤❤<br/>
Tony
I don't know why this place is got lesser point review, according to me everything I had got perfect cause I ordered for chicken bruschetta it's was made well and nice, the traditional lasagne (beef) it was very juicy cooked well, for the dessert I had ordered for tiramisu, my bad luck it's not available, but I have ordered for berry panna cotta it was out of the world I can say, I don't think tiramisu would get the same quality, I found something new I had, And I am sure I will visit again for the delicious panna cotta only,<br/>Thanks keep up the good work Chef,<br/>Cheers!!!

Pizza are good if not superb. If you are tired of Domino's and pizza hut you can try here....only crust pizza available here. <br/><br/><br/>But tourture is water and beverages... Charging 3 times more than MRP. Illegal.

We simply love this place. Tuscana are the best is food, service and ambience.<br/>Food: We have tasted most of the items out there. Margherita and chicken Lasagne are their best. Chicken ravioli and Tiramisu must also be mentioned. The taste of their sauce is very addictive.<br/>Service: What can be more exciting when the attender offered your favourite seat each time you visit there. Trust me, they remember you by your name. <br/>Ambience: From the sparkling cutleries to the music being played, they are our first choice for any occasion. Parking - No worries<br/>We have suggested Tuscana to many of our friends. Now they are all hooked to this place!

There was no signage for the place and that's why we wasted 5 mins to find the place. There are a very few visitors so m not sure if the ingredients are fresh. Food taste was ok and the service was mostly delayed. It's a one time visit place<br/><br/>Significantly improved. The team took this as a critical feedback and really worked on it. I totally loved this place in my next visit. I really appreciate the efforts of the team in valuing each feedback and then working on it. Totally worth going guys. Try this place.

We went for a lunch . The food is pretty good here , specially pizzas are really good . <br/><br/>Friendly staff- Worthy visit .

The food was decent but wasn't hot. The staff were friendly. But don't try anything that's recommended by the staff. We were asked to try Focaccia, fascinated by its name we ordered it. Well if you like raw food you might like it.

I would like to visit the place again and again. This is for two reasons:<br/><br/>4 / 5 Service can't complain about the service at all. In fact the recommendations are good. I ordered a starter and he was frank enough to point out that there is a better choice available. <br/><br/>3 / 5 Ambience Not the greatest of setup but not the worst too. Gives you a feel of "almost there" if crowded the place can look quite crampy<br/><br/>4.5 / 5 if you're having meat then have them all. The Bacon based Roma is quite outstanding. Not just the quality of the meat but also the flavours mixing together with the the sauce and tomatoes. The chicken croquettes are quite good too. The key is in the sauce.. it was just the right flavour. The molten chocolate cake was strictly average. <br/><br/>Overall a very good experience! <br/>

I have to say it , If you have had enough pastas in your life and if you have had them in Italy like I have . The pasta served here is sub par. The sauce in both the pastas we ordered was very thin which was a huge disappointment because that just took the texture of the pasta away . On the other hand the Pizza's were a delight. Was totally surprised that a plain pizza with cheese could taste that good . We ordered another one with sun dried tomatoes and olives . If you don't have a taste for sun dried tomatoes then Don order it because it's not for everyone . Myself, a huge fan of these dried tomatoes and enjoyed it a lot . The desserts looked exquisite but we did not have the time to try them. I'd try them on my next visit.

Another outlet of Tuscana opened at current happening place of Chennai, OMR - ECR junction. Just right around the end of ecr link road you can find it. <br/><br/>Ambiance : 4/5<br/><br/>Starting from their location, parking, surrounding everything is perfect for a pizzeria. They have a quite small space with few seats in ground floor, rest occupied with the kitchen but with a spacious long floor at the first. I loved the window view seating and their interiors. <br/><br/>Service : 3.5/5<br/><br/>The staff were very friendly and welcoming but the point I wanted to mention is they were very slow even for the only customer in the entire restaurant, that too on a weekend evening. <br/><br/>Food : 3.5/5<br/><br/>We have ordered a chicken Tikka masala pizza and all arrabiata pasta, their pizza was good as usual, thin crust, juicy and LESS 😉. But we have ordered for some extra toppings, being in their other outlets and other places, I can say there was nothing extra in my pizza than ordinary. Their pasta was warm and good, tasted awesome in perfectly mixed (penne) . Then we went for drinks I have ordered a plain lemon juice which disappointed majorly as it was just the water with a sliced lemon on it (that's what it tasted like, but I heard the hot chocolate was good). <br/><br/>On overall it's a good place to have pasta in a nice cozy atmosphere and relax.

If you ever make up your mind for a long drive and pizzas. I feel this place is the best to go for . Located 15 kms from the city it's such a dreamy place to have a good lunch with a bunch of friends. The cheese balls was well cooked and the pizzas were on point. Totally a fun and frolic place to hangout.Monish KumarKumar.

Probably the a disappointing restaurant I ve ever ordered from . Please remove your delivery option . I paid a luxurious amount for a below average pizza . The pizza was so dry and was cold when it arrived. The taste was very bland and not even worth the amount. Dominos have better taste and quality when compared to this . Please improve your restaurant. .

Dear Concerned Team,<br/>I would like to start by saying that to become a successful company, it has to focus on customer services and I am absolutely sorry to say that the customer service at Tuscana Pizzeria, ECR, Chennai is not only bad but its is absolutely ridiculous. I agree that the quality of food preparation is excellent but it is the customer service that is lacking behind. I thought of writing the feedback at my previous order also but this time it crossed all the limits that forced me to write in this way. I am completely agitated by the response I got from the manager of the branch named Mr Sundar or Mr Sundaram I suppose.<br/><br/>At my previous home delivery order, I ordered AI Funghi Gluten Free Pizza and the delivery boy came with some other pizza. I asked him to call the manager. He tried calling but no one responded. I asked him to take the pizza back and ask his manager to contact me. I was amazed that I never got any call back for doing the wrong home delivery. This clearly shows that the manager is least bothered.<br/><br/>This time I again called to order Gluten Free Pizza since I am gluten intolerant. One guy picked the call and I asked him for home delivery. He asked me about my address to check whether they can deliver to my residence or not. I confirmed him that this is not the first time I am ordering as previously also you have delivered. He again asked me the area. I told him near Global Hospital. After putting the call on hold for about 5-7 minutes he said we will not deliver to this area. I really got agitated on this and asked him to allow me to talk with the manager. I explained the manager that previously also you have delivered on the same address without any problem and the fact it is not far from ECR branch. He said we can deliver but there is a rule of minimum order. I told him that I want to order Gluten Free Al Funghi Pizza and he again said we will not deliver since there is a minimum order rule. I asked him this rule was never there before. This is the first time I am listening this from Tuscana Pizzeria. Also the fact that the order amount would have been around Rupees 550 and still you can not deliver. I really got angry and asked him for a number to complaint and I told him I am going to complaint about this. The words he said after this are really not acceptable and trust me I am also going to put all this on facebook page and twitter as well. He said me in exact words "If you want to complaint, than do. I do not care". Well after this I disconnected the call.<br/><br/>I am a guy with gluten allergy and that is why I prefer Tuscana Pizzeria which is one of the major company to start gluten free pizzas in India. I am again sorry to say the company will never be successful if such is there response. This clearly shows how much care you do for your customer for not bothering to call back at sending wrong orders and the response I got yesterday from the manager.<br/><br/>Bad!Bad!Bad....its a worse response one can get from a manager working in hospitality industry.<br/><br/>I wish that the services will improve by taking required action. I will definitely take up this matter at the highest level.<br/><br/>Regards<br/>Abhishek Jain<br/>75501 36926

Christopher Columbus accidentally ‘discovered’ America while searching for spicy Indian food. This evening I made a similar discovery! I accidentally found good Italian food while searching for something completely different (let’s not go into the details of what I was searching for).<br/><br/>A friend and I walked into Tuscana Pizzeria in the ECR area earlier today hoping to have a decent dinner. We ended up having something better thanks to the folks in Tuscana. <br/><br/>Paintings of scenes from the Italian countryside sets the mood for the evening as you climb the stairs up to the dining area. The color palette used for the décor goes with the three colors of the Italian flag. Bright Green, White and Red against a backdrop of Steel Grey. The choice of crockery compliments the whole theme quite well.<br/><br/>Take your time to read the ‘preface’ part of the Menu. I am sure a lot of you will find the content quite interesting. Kudos to whoever has written that bit! <br/><br/>Now, coming to the food. A good collection of Antipasti, Soups, Pizzas and Pastas with the prices slightly on the higher side. I was in the mood to have a light dinner so went straightaway for a Bruschetta and a Pizza.<br/> <br/><br/>The Bruschetta I ordered was topped with marinated mushrooms, garlic, roasted tomatoes and balsamic vinegar. And it was exactly how a Bruschetta is supposed to be. Really clean individual flavors. Wholesome and fresh ingredients and a light dressing of olive oil and herbs! What else can you ask for?<br/><br/>The pizza was a chef recommended Siciliana. A good serving of Buffalo Mozarella and Feta cheese along with sun dried tomatoes, artichokes and olives. The crust was really thin and crisp! The base sauce was slightly acidic to my taste, but I am not complaining. The 9 inch pizza was decent enough for the two of us.<br/><br/>Service was good. The music playlist could be better. And only thing I did not really like about the whole setup was the fact that the restroom was outside the restaurant. You have to step out and walk to the rear end of the building to reach the restroom. Not quite customer friendly!<br/><br/>I will remember this meal for quite some time! I am sure. <br/><br/>Would be great if they could open up a branch in Pune. Until that happens, I will have to wait for my next trip to Chennai to visit this place again.

It was my first experience of having pizza at ECR road Tuscana, must say I loved it, best part was base of pizza, amaze to know, they prepare there own pizza base. We order from pizza of the day, It was worth enough for two.

This place is good for all the Italian lovers out there.<br/>The pizzas are really good. <br/>Ambience and the interiors are not that great. <br/>But worth the visit for once :p

Second experience -<br/>Typing the review as i think that my 600 rs had gone down the drain.<br/>This experience prompted me to change the rating to 1.<br/>Ordered the bolognese pizza home delivery.<br/>It was a disaster.<br/>Description was - bolognese and morzarella topped with fresh spinach and parmesan. Well what was delivered to me tasted and looked nothing like any pizza I've ever had. It looked more like a stale roti topped with kheema. Refer to the pics.<br/>Pizza was stone cold, dry as a parchment and burnt. I couldn't find any morzarella cheese on the pizza.<br/>So very very disappointing. That too from an establishment like Tuscana.<br/>Even the pizza box was too small for the 9inch pizza and all the pieces in the box were one on top of the other.<br/>Never ordering from here again.<br/>Ever.<br/><br/>1st experience -<br/>Went on Sunday night for dinner. Had heard so much about the pizzas here was determined to try it once at least before i left Chennai. Occupied a table by the glass windows or wall over looking ecr. Not much of a crowd which is understandable on a Sunday for ecr area.<br/>Ordered the garlic bread (without cheese). It was tasty and buttery. Felt the quantity to be really less for the price they charge. They serve baguettes, around 8 inches long sliced in half... not like the garlic bread slices at other pizza places.<br/>Next up - frutti de mare Pizza - Seafood pizza with fish prawns n squid. It tasted a little bland, found the marinara sauce and garlic lacking in flavour and quantity respectively. Had to season with a lot of oregano and chilli flakes myself. Toppings were not generous - for the exorbitant price they charge. The crust was thin and crisp at least at the edges! It was soggy near the center and can't possibly be picked up and eaten by hand or u'll drop all the topping before u can eat it :-P bring out the cutlery for your pizza! Had ordered a 12 inch pizza (almost 1000 inr excluding taxes) and it was good enough for 2 of us along with the garlic bread.<br/>Service was rather slow despite the fact that only 2 tables were occupied other than ours. For the price they charge - definitely not vfm. Not convinced that this is the best pizza place in Chennai. Would be back maybe to try the pastas or the pizza of the day.Dipanjan Das

Tuscana on the ECR..have been there 4 times an awesome place to have some Italian food. Very good hospitality and service. Good menu spread and taste. Their pizzas are great quality...pastas were yummy... we had a great time there...

Tuscana on ECR is an all time family favorite ..last Sunday we went for dinner and ordered a garlic bread, mushroom soup, pizza and arabiatta pasta and our taste buds were super happy.😃.. everything was top notch..a special mention for the service as well . prompt and courteous..what makes my daughter super happy is that she gets to bake her own pizza.😃😃😃..this place is certainly not to be missed

We went for a drive in ECR and stopped by to have pizza.. place is decent and food was good too except the creamy pasta.. it was blend.. could have been better...

Ambience - good;<br/><br/>Service - slow but prompt;<br/><br/>Food- 13 of us landed up on a Sunday night and the place was empty . Within minutes of us entering there all the tables on the first floor were full. This took the waiters by surprise I guess and the service became slow. The Americana and chicken tikka pizzas were superb . The pastas were average .

Well where to begin...first of all orders came in way too late...it would have been fine if the food had some stuff to talk about..I will never ever call this a pizza at most this is deep fried pappad topped with tomatos and silly cheese..and this amazing combination is at a ridiculous price!!! Most regrettable dining experience..

Worst experience. From the beginning it took a while to take the order inspite of not being crowded. We ordered a Pizza and Foccacia. Foccacia was passable little bland for my taste. After eating we waited for pizza for another 10 mins, waiter came to us said it would take another 5 mins, I said ok but please make it fast. In the mean time a family sitting in the nearby table gotten a little furious about their order. Waiter went down to check and came back to inform them that it will take another 5 mins to deliver the order. They got angry and cancelled their pasta. Waiter runs down to inform this to the manager but brings back the pizza we ordered to serve the angry family who ordered a pasta! This is the heights for worst experience.

Do NOT order from this place. I placed an order at 9 30 pm on zomato on a weekday that too , the food still hadn't arrived by 10 30 and when i call them to find out the person on the end of the phone tells me that there are " many places with the same name as my location and therefore the delivery boy is taking time, he should be there in 5 min". One HOUR later and the food is still not here. There is no answer at the other end as well and the call gets connected to the central number amd the person on that end tells me he'll get back to me immediately. Surprise surprise - 20 minutes later and there is still no call, and now no one picks up any of the numbers.  So it's now 11 30 pm with no food whatsoever. <br/>Forget not ordering from this branch, this will be THE absolute last time i even bother going to any tuscana which used to be one of my favorite restaurants.

Quite a cool location @ECR. Heard a lot abt this Italian food joint. So dropped here for a real quick bite before heading to Mayajaal. We sat upstairs with a good view of ECR road. Ordered Pizza and Panna Cotta. Must tell as expected we liked their pizza. However Panna Cotta was not up to what I was expecting. Could have done better. Kipling has comparatively better Panna Cottas.<br/><br/>Ambiance - excellent<br/>Food quality - Good<br/>Price - High ( You won't mind paying becoz of the ambiance and taste of food)<br/>Would definitely recommend. Must try their pizzas.

Tuscana pizzeria had been in my wish list for a long time , finally managed to tick it off my foodie bucket list this Sunday while on a drive to mahabalipuram. I'm actually surprised to see many bad reviews here , my experience had been good. Dunno if it just was a good day for me !!<br/>We ordered a seafood pizza ( my friend was hardcore seafood fan) and were told that coz of an offer going on for the cost of an 9 inch pizza we would get a 12 inch one. ( Didn't make much of a difference , just 50rs more- considering the cost of 9 inch pizza itself is around 975rs!) So we ordered and they served us some complimentary bread sticks with salsa dip. The taste was good but the quantity was outrageous , they need not have given if u ask me!!! ( The bread sticks were four in number and were thinner than the thinnest of green beans you could find!)<br/>Anyway the pizza came and it was a delight. The thin crust was lovely, ingredients so fresh and a good mix of calamari, chunks of fish, prawn and had a good aroma without the smell of sea food. It was less on spice so we dumped in loads of chilli flakes and oregano and munched up.. It was a good one with all ingredients loaded up well, the cheese and the other toppings.<br/>We ordered a mint drink and it was good although I felt it could have been even better. A lovely chocolicious dessert we ordered was tiny is size but tasty enough and its a Choco lava cake basically. The service was okayish.<br/>But the manager was a pleasant fellow and made us comfortable.<br/>Regarding the ambience , the first floor had a glass panel view but nothing can be viewed there except the overflowing traffic outside and the hooting horns and loud noise of vehicles aren't pleasant. They really must consider sound proof facility! Its highly disturbing and even though it looks nice from the outside the comfort level in is pretty low for the standards.<br/>Definitely this is a pricey place. We didn't try the pastas but very much wanted to. Easily it would cost more than 2k for a satisfactory meal for two. If you are a real hardcore lover of authentic pizza and wouldn't mind shelling out a few extra bucks you are really try this place on without second thoughts !!! Pizzas are so much better than any other place I have had within chennai.

Saturday night... <br/><br/>When you step into a restaurant that doesn't need a reservation on a Saturday night with almost all the tables for taking, you start wondering if something is wrong.. <br/>Well I didn't.. I just thought I was very lucky to get a table of my choice and hoped that the chef was gonna cook a special one because he didn't have too many orders to work on... It was just me and my wife, we actually preferred the privacy of the near empty restaurant.. <br/><br/>No.. The dinner did not turn out to be as optimistic as I chose to be.. <br/><br/>Ordered a garlic bread with mozzarella cheese - excellent, good portion and didn't raise any flags..<br/>Next came the pizza - 9" with toppings that could have fit only a 4" pizza.. I asked for multi grain base and got a regular one.. <br/>Next came the Ravioli.. Which was hardly stuffed with any chicken or cheese!! Felt like I was eating pasta with red sauce... <br/>Had ordered a iced lemon tea which was okay and an another drink which was supposedly papaya and guava but realised that it wasn't fresh juice. <br/>Now u could've made a fuss and pulled them for everything they served but I chose not to.. I've been to Tuscana in Alwarpet probably a dozen times and enjoyed the food so much, so my expectations were quite high.. I was going they would give me a feedback piece asking with my bill but apparently they don't give that here in this outlet!!! <br/>Anyways getting to my point.. This joint needs to really work on its quality of food and standard of service (which was also poor).. <br/>If these guys don't pull up their socks and get to work, what was a nearly empty restaurant will probably be empty always.

We were on our way to Pondy, and happened to spot this place around lunchtime. We entered an empty restaurant, and the two of us decided to sit upstairs. We wanted to have a light lunch since we had a long way to drive, and did not want to fill ourselves up.<br/><br/>We ordered the Chicken dumpling soup, and the Chicken ravioli, which arrived in due course, and was a seriously sub standard meal, lacking any flavour or substance.<br/><br/>The bill at Rs.979/- for just these 2 items was seriously over inflated, and with the restaurant being appropriately located on ECR, I suppose one could call it "Highway Robbery".<br/><br/>Vipin, I hope you are taking note of this and will initiate appropriate action to improve quality and rationalize prices.
Amritha Jaidev
Tuscana was in my list for long time. I remember once calling their Chamiers road branch for booking table and learnt that it was shut down. So when I saw this in ECR I decided to try it. <br/><br/>We went there around 12.30. The place looked pretty impressive. We took the seats upstairs. It took them really really long send somebody to pick the order. When we were done it took like forever for them to bring the food. My husband almost climbed down the stairs to know if the order reached the kitchen.<br/><br/>When the food came like after 40 mins. It was nothing like pizza. And wow wow they had added cilantro instead of Basil!?!?! Do I need to say more about the food? We ordered the Choc pizza or something which was nothing but nutella with banana pieces. Extremely over price and worst service ever. <br/><br/>Lost the craze for Tuscana.

The best place honestly to have a pizza - you will love it. Everything ingredient is apt and the pizzas taste awesome without leaving you feeling heavy ...
Ashoka Rathnam
With the branch in Numgumbakkam doing so well you'll expect the same from this one as well. But don't worry though it doesn't live up to its other branch it somehow manages to do have built some reputation for itself independently. Those who don't like pesto sauce should try and avoid it since the pesto sauce is not everyone's cup of tea. The chicken clear soup on the other hand is simple and really good. Overall the ambience is good, the quality and quantity is good as well. So overall a thumbs up.
Charan Ashokraj
Went there with a colleague who had come down from CA. He wanted to try good wood fires pizzas and this was on the way to Mahabs, which was our next pitstop. I had great expectations for the place but may be because of that they fell short of it in both food and ambience. Good food but expensive for the quantity. The ice lemon tea is a must try. I would go back but with a fat wallet.
Pavithra Dillibabu
Tuscana was not up to the mark . Ambience is ok. Staff service is just ok. Omg worst pizzas ever. Had a feel. . Like eating a roti based hard pizza. Total turn off .. not worth the price. Indeed I tried chef"s special pizzas
Sadikha Pasha
We had lunch here and was lucky that it was totally empty we were the only ones in the restaurant. The food we ate was the beef Lasagne and some garlic bread..It was yummy..The ambience is nice too..All you Italian food lovers you must try this place..
Hungry Adventures
So we happened to visit this place as we were out on ECR to search for a good restaurant but due to the damage caused by the floods Shiraz art cafe and Bella ciao were both closed. <br/><br/>Having heard good things about the food at Tuscana we went into the place hoping to get out hunger satiated, specially since we had been driving for over an hour before finally deciding where to go. <br/><br/>The place is in a nice compound which also has amadorra and wrapsody. The interiors are nothing much to talk about and is very basic and not very pleasing to the eye. <br/><br/>We were three of us and we ordered garlic bread and chicken croquettes. For the mains we chose a classic spaghetti carbonara and a large chicken tikka pizza ( as it was the offer of the day for ta 275). <br/><br/>The garlic bread was good and had a pronounced flavour of garlic. The chicken croquettes were crispy on the outside and moist and juicy on the inside. By now we were excited and we were looking forward to good mains. However that was not the case. Both the pizza and the pasta were a major let down. The pasta had no bacon at all and was sent back only to come back with small tit bits of it. How can a pasta be called carbonara without a sinful helping of bacon. The pizza had a nice thin crust but lacked majorly on flavour and was topped with dry tenders of chicken. <br/><br/>So my recommendation is that incase you want to try good Italian food on ECR this is not your place. At least not until they get their food right.
