Review B R Mathsya - Chennai (Madras)

Sathish Sajja
I celebrated my mom's birthday with family. Had family lunch. Food is authentic vegetarian. Tasty, I would recommend this place if couples or family. It's a very good location. Place is clean and tidy. I got the cake from the restaurant attached cake shop Cromartie.

Food was awesome. Very mild on tummy and it doesn't harm us at all.. very close to home cooked food. My dining experience ended up in me hosting a party at their space. All the people who had attended the party Loved the food a lot.
G Bhargavi
Nice ambience. Family friendly. The food quality was quite good indeed! The taste could be a little better or maybe it was me who felt that way! Anyways, we all came home with too full a tummy still worried that we haven't tasted everything that was there. Kids had a great time eating what they individually like and also exploring new edibles. A Great time we had!

Fantastic experience. Visited for dinner. The taste was awesome. The overall experience was good. The place has good vibes and the food is so satisfying. In short, Value to money

I regularly dine at the restaurant. On weekends it is usually buffet and a-la-cart facilities are available on weekdays. Good for both quick breakfast and late evening sit-in dinners. Choice of vegetarian dishes, both South and North Indian varieties, are available. With a brief wait one can get seats even on a busy day. Valet parking is an added advantage.
Arun Ramaswamy
We had a birthday party celebration there. Overall service and food option was great. Buffet spread was sumptuous!! Unfortunately for us, it was the evening India was chasing against Bangladesh and hence majority of the staff were glued onto TV, rather than attending to the needs of customers. Valet parking was available for us.

The restaurant is good one with tasty foods, their south Indian breakfast and lunch are feather in their cap. Only thing is their food can be enjoyed only on weekdays, On Weekends and holidays never ever visit the restaurant ( any of the restaurants in the city is not advisable ) because tasting the tastier food gets spoiled due to heavy rush and waiting for the table. Just have your food at home this will be the best. I have been to this restaurant several times my worst experience was on 02.10.2023

Went for my friend's son birthday party. The ambience was really nice and was served with a welcome drink 🍸. Service was also very good. The veg buffet had 17 items in total and my friend said after taxes it costed Rs.575. It was worth the price 😊 and food was yummy too 😋 must try for vegetarian people 😊👍
Chanchal Jetha
I had the breakfast buffet there. Very good spread of poha, full South Indian, few chats. Food is excellent. Service is okay. Try to go early, or else things start getting over. I would say it's absolutely worth it. So just give it a try. They even have lunch and midnight buffet. Parking is easy to find.
Isai
One of the best vegetarian restaurant in Chennai. Delicious food and pleasant atmosphere with valet parking available. Always crowded during weekend reserve your table in order not to get disappointed.
Dr Sridhar Sundaram
I had an experience to have lunch with my friends. The buffet had many varieties. Starters, desserts, food, etc are amazing. The staff are amazing. Sometimes you need to wait. Valet parking is available
Karthikeyan Shankar
Famous Vegetarian buffet in town. Spread is huge. Taste is perfect. Parking is limited. Weekends are always busy.
Gomathi Guru
Attended a party at their party hall. Hall could accommodate around 50 people. They served buffet food. The mix of North and South Indian vegetarian food tasted very good.

I visited Mathsya T- ngr for breakfast. I wanted to try their buffet, it was worth the hype. Their spread was good and worth the price. Crispy medhu vada, tasty pongal, Poori masala, moong dal vada. Live station for dosa variety, sweet pongal, crispy potato, hot hot idli with two different sizes, served mini idli too, jain & normal sambar. Good ambience, good service, tasty food and yummy coffee. They have valet parking so no worries. So sorry i couldn't share any pictures. Bye for now. TC.

We had a great service by Mr Karthik and team during the function , we booked for 150 people and we had extra people which was well taken care of! Food was fantastic and highly Satisfied. Overall it's a great experience, highly recommended place for functions.
Ven Kris
Great place to have buffet lunch for ₹500/-. Sorkkai Halwa is awesome⚘️. Same with soya tikka✅️ . Can have more non regular stuff. Rotis can be thinner🤔
Ardent Thinker
Is a nice affordable restaurant for family buffet and small gatherings. Parking is a challenge here during rush hours, you have to park in the adjacent streets only. Wide spread of food and good service. don't expect a quiet environment as it is too noisy during the peak time.

Poor stuff. One of the nightmare experience for my entire family in this hotel last night.<br/><br/>Due to the unavailability of any North Indian dishes for order we have to opted for buffet which does not had any variety either. Over cooked noodles and naan, hasty tasteless side-dishes added to the sourness.<br/>Even the South Indian dishes are incomplete only DOSA is available, apart from that no other south Indian dishes are available. Eventually we had it to fill up the tummy :( <br/><br/>A complete shocker in comparison to Mathsya's standard which it had set during my earlier occasions as well as to other locations (Egmore and Adyar). First experience after renovation and it is not good at all.
Rishi Kumar
This place is not as good as the other Mathsya at egmore but they have buffet system, which is a good thing. their north indian food items are to crave for and they have a large area to carry many customers and their service is good enough to handle the same.
Nandni Sundharesan
Good buffet experience for veg<br/>Live pasta counter<br/>Dessert varieties<br/>Unlimited juice/welcome drink<br/>Sweets<br/>Main course<br/>Live Chaat<br/>Icecreams<br/>Worth the money!!
Usha Kiran
Pure vegetarian restaurant. Loads of variety . Live counter is available . Buffet is available. Pineapple kesari is a must try . Also has a children's play area

Good appearance.... Cool atmosphere.... Well maintained and hygienic food... Good compatible view from outside to inside.... I like this place as it's atmosphere and surrounding is cool....My girlfriend likes here very much as part of our love life went good here...haha... thank you.
Sandy Foodie
Went on my birthday. They are good at south Indian and north indian food only. Don't order Italian or any other good. But in south and north they are great.
Maithrayie Kumaresan
Visited for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Heavily crowded. Got a shared table after few mins of waiting. They have a wide spread buffet for 399+ taxes. But we stuck to the special Madras thali that day. The thali comprised of soup, rice, chapathi, dal, spinach, potato masala, kootu, rasam, variety rice, sambhar, Kara kulambhu, curd, papad, Kesari and icecream. The variety was good but the taste was mediocre. Not great. The vegetables were good and so was the dal and podi. But the sambhar and rasam were okayish. The variety rice for the day coriander rice wasn't that great either. The thali is priced at 150+ tax

Was on to T.Nagar for some work ended up being here for lunch, despite the crowd and much anticipation, I have to say I was totally disappointed by Service, & Food. Would rate it 2.5<br/><br/>Service: 3.0<br/>Food: 2.0<br/>Ambience: 3.0 <br/>Overall rating: "2.5"<br/><br/>I ordered a Schezwan fried rice, South Indian Thali, and a Lemonade. Lemonade was good but food wasn't appealing. <br/><br/>Couldn't find anything good about the restaurant, can get better at a lesser rate! That said, I would like to iterate Taste is subjective, so feel free to visit and try... Thanks
The Food Ninja
Had their breakfast buffet once and it did not go well. The food was cold. It wasn't clean either. Only the Kesari tasted good. And the coffee was just 'not bad'. So, here's hoping things change the next time.
Ravi Sankar
Worst ever service. Had to wait outside almost for 30 mins for lunch. Then went in, Sat for 15 mins. No waiters turned up. Could see the customer bashing the waiters for the poor service in a near couple of tables. In all other tables, people were either waiting for the waiters to take orders/ waiting for the food to come. Got frustrated and went out without ordering anything. Another set of people were waiting outside for their turn to go in. Pathetic!!!!
Tejasvi Rozukurthi
Place is too noisy if you are looking for a quite place for dinner .... food and staff service is very good .... loved the desserts we tried
Customer
Initially mathsya was excellent especially it's bisebellabath but now I am so disappointed by its taste. It is now more or less like a samber rice.
Dhakshini Ramamurthy
We had a veg buffet at around 2 pm. Though there were many dishes, many lacked taste . The only thing that stood well in the buffet was pulav and vada. Deserts was good, the first batch of payasam was good, the second batch was only average.paneer gravy was spicy and no richness in it, I skipped all other dishes (noodles, basil rice, curd rice, )as they were not appealing and my husband who ate them said was below average .he even skipped rasam, sambar for the reason it was not appealing. starters could have been much better ,like no paneer or Gobi was there, just vada ,samosa ,roll. Please concentrate on the taste of food.

It was decided that we go have dinner out as a family.. so 18 of us decided to hit it out .. since there were.more senior citizens in the group .. we zeroed in on a belly friendly place .. BR Mathsya was a fitting place .. it was also a holiday on occassion of Onam .. hence we did a wise thing by booking in advance .. the spread was ma handful .. there were more that 30-35 dishes in all .. stating with a soup .. bajji samosa sweets payasam noodles veg rice vadam sambar rasam roti sabsi etc etc etc .. worth the money ..
Adithan Natarajan
The ambience was lovely. The dinner buffet had enough food choices to keep one full.<br/><br/>But the issue was the organization of tables. Felt too packed and cramped.<br/><br/>Else, it was a 3.5/5 dinner.
Miss Hangry Bird
The one of the cheapest veg buffet.. <br/>They huge variety of dishes for such a low price. But each and every dish was just average in taste. The only thing that I liked was their pastas and chats.... Ice cream 🍨 are good.
Seenu Gopal
My favourite hotel... For breakfast and also I recommend for every one... Best of all.... Menu list is Sweet.... Welcome juice..... Pongal.... Vadai... Bread toasted finally Coffee.

Today we will going with my family very very nice place we will injoy went to come again..... And i will tell my frend to going thare... Thank you...

This restaurant did not fail to disappoint me as I felt that the spread was good and the taste excellent. It might not be for everyone as this restaurant only offers vegetarian dishes. Also I would like to clarify that the dishes were excellent the day I visited and I have heard from multiple people that this restaurant has been a good experience to them. The overall design and ambience was pretty great although the crowd management could have been better.
Rajiv Dey
If you are bored of Sangeetha, then you can hop in Mathsya anytime.<br/>The taste differs a little, but yes it is worth a visit or two.<br/>They keep it simple!
PalS
I have been to this hotel long time back and was really impressed by their quality and taste at that time. Based on that nice experience i ordered meals from them. However it was really disappointing, rice was raw, quantity was low and importantly taste was bland. Sambar, rasam were below ordinary. I believe the restaurant is not that good like how it used to be
Anuraj Kumar
Br-Mathsya is really great vegetarian buffet in the city. I went for lunch here. They have nice selection of dishes in the menu from starer to main course. Remember they serve lunch buffet in between 12-3:30. Server is nice and make me choose some good dishes also. A great value for money.
Hari Krishnan
Good for South Indian cuisine. North types not upto the expectations. Bissy Bela Bath is my favourite here and is really outstanding with the vattal...
Suganthi J
very ordinary. quantity is very low.
Haseeb Modi
I have been familiar with their outlet at Egmore which served good South Indian thali's etc., and this was my first time here at T. Nagar.<br/><br/>Place is pretty large and serves buffet, lunch, tiffin, meals etc., Tried their plain dosa and it was refreshing and tasted good, though it took some time to arrive. The sambar and two types of chutney were good.<br/><br/>Decor and ambience is decent.
Harish Rajendran
Love the Mangalore bondas here. Whenever we visit mathsya this one is a must in our order. No idea why pizzas and pastas weren't there but was very much available on the menu. Garlic naan and peshawari kofta was good.
Purushoth Dp
delivered before on time,excellent.<br/>
Hema Krish
Been here for buffet lunch but the spread is not as expected. There were only aloos all around. Mostly aloos and only one panneer gravy 😏. Nans and Rotis were chill. Disappointed lunch. Not sure this is due to a weekday spread (Tue). Better check for the menu and step in for buffet instead of getting disappointed ☹️
Vendakkasundakka
Mathsya is one of few restaurants that I visit often. Although the last visit was not upto the expectation level. They need to know how to manage the crowd and the buffet items should be severed hot. The South Indian thali was great.
Foodness Gracious
For a Sunday lunch, chose this place with high appetite levels, saving the breakfast for brunch. Choose the buffet meal and wouldn’t say I was pleased. They had variety, a large range but the food wasn’t hot and probably a factor for the taste not being all that impressive. They had mango lassi for the juice and that was the only option there, could have brought in another plain mango juice at least, for those who don’t take lassi. The dessert section had very limited to select from and plain ice cream with some toppings for which the topping container had to be forced against gravity to make the toppings come out.
Akash Ganesh
The food here is pretty decent, not really over the moon. Being a veg friendly restaurant, the restaurant offers a decent range of choices with none of the dishes really being a standout. The main problem with the place is that it receives a lot of customers especially during the weekend and the place is a complete havoc. If you wish to eat peacefully while having delightful conversations with the people accompanying you, this is definitely not your place

Br Matsya has been a go-to place for all vegetarian foodies. If my memory serves right BR mathsya was one of the first fine dining restaurants in chennai to offer a Pure-Veg Buffet.  The Veg Buffet always was a lavish spread with the live counter being the cherry on top.  Make no mistakes. Their Ala carte menu is also as good as their buffet, if not even better. They also offer you a variety of dessert options starting from Indian sweets to regular ice cream sundaes.  We recently ordered food through Zomato and we were not surprised to find that the food was of the same good quality as it was in the restaurant.<br/><br/>The ambiance of the restaurant hasn't changed much in the years and it is traditionally designed at the same time with a contemporary outlook. This is one of the very few restaurants in the heart of T. Nagar that offers a good amount of Car Parking space.  They also have party halls for functions where the food comes from the same kitchen with the same quality and taste.<br/><br/>The only down is that their Air conditioning is always on the inferior side. When it is crowded it sometimes gets almost sweaty inside. That's the reason for me to give a star less. otherwise, this is a top-notch restaurant.

very good

Wonderful paneer butter masala it’s yummy<br/>

The place is quiet good for families and groups searching for breakfast buffet . Although u can see not much variety of breakfast but whatever is the price charged is pretty cheap .<br/>This place is good for people who have never tasted the south Indian breakfast .<br/>Plus the taste is not authentic but still satisfies ones taste buds .

Visited this place along with family and ends up to be a great disappointment. Not worth for the money we pay for lunch buffet..not many varities in desserts...starters are very few and served cold. Buffet is like traditional type, not expect varieties.

Good food

food was good

A casual veg restaurant for quick check in.............for me this is not so great......okaish feeling only........but if your are just going for food like any other normal vegetarian place means this place is much good........they are very good in taste of the food items served........service will not be good.......they struggle to manage the restaurant during peak times........if you are in that area you can drop in for a change and enjoy the meal.........

Vibrant place with beautiful family crowd .... coming to the food part we had a ghee dosa ..dosa was nice chutneys were below average <br/><br/>Main course we had butter roti and naan .. butter roti was good and naan was average <br/><br/>Side dish we opted to go with mushroom masala it was decent. Palak paneer was very watery and too much of green chillies <br/><br/>Then come the spoiler sizzling brownie it was burnt to black at the bottom and the chocolate syrup was too hard<br/><br/>I won’t recommend it buffet is very cheap but huge compromise in quality
Firdause Jila
One of the best veg place to visit. The service is good and the snacks or dinner menu is super. The cheese dosa with I think aloo 55 and paneer tikka is outstanding. Do visit it for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Been here multiple times for lunch buffet. The food is decent and the spread is excellent for the price. It is always a mixed bag, with Salads, indo-chinese, kebabs, pasta/ noodles, a live counter and around 6 types of dessert. We had our daughters birthday party organised in their hall in the basement. The food is wat better than what you find at saravana bhavan/ Vasantha bhavans... Sundays are always crowded.. better reach early.
Rupa Sriram
Heard a lot of hype about this place and was disappointed when we met some friends there for lunch on a Sunday afternoon.  The place was quite crowded but the ventilation and the air conditioning seem to have stopped working thereby rendering it quite uncomfortable to be seated. The staff looked a little uninterested in serving. Coming to the food, a few of us chose the lunch buffet option while some others chose the ala carte The food was ok and nothing to rave about. Buffet had quite a few options but nothing worth mentioning.  Ordered a veg biryani too but that was quite ordinary and not even flavorful. The vanilla milk shake with icecream left a lot to be desired. I wouldn't go there again !!!
Sudharsan Hayakriva
I ordered Tamil Nadu meals.<br/>A below par average food.<br/>Sambar was prepared with jaggery which is not preferred by tamilians.<br/>The other accompanies lacked taste and freshness<br/>The only savour was Palak fry which was preferably good compared to other dishes.<br/>The anti climax was the supervisor asked me where is the tip for serving?<br/>

A good place to eat. But it lacks cleanliness. The Services provided by the resurant was good. Overall it's a average place. With good food .

Neat and spacious restuarant. Good hospitality.,., average service time.., tasty dishes.,.,e specially the sunday buffet.,. great place to be with family and friends

It was a fine Sunday morning. We closed our kitchen and headed out for some good south Indian breakfast . Hearing about this restaurant we went there at 9am . We received a warm welcome . But to our dismay the buffet items were very poor. The sweet (kesari) had less sugar . Less salt in pongal . Vada seemed to be crispy outside and tasteless inside . Poori was dripping in oil and the masala potato had no masala and salt . My whole Sunday was ruined because of a bad breakfast. They can provide less number of items for a good quality . There were too many items that did not taste good . Nice ambience and good service .
Charandeep Singh
Everything was really bad. But the lack of cleanliness of tables, sofas, of plates, of washrooms was really the first thing I noticed. Food also wasn't a redeeming factor. The hot and sour soup was so full of pepper and there was nothing Chinese about it, that we left it like you see in picture. The Mysore masala dosa was a disaster. Peas masala dosa was palatable. Thanks to that vada sambhar, I felt God exists. The sambhar in that was hot and vadas well cooked.
Badrinath
Fine food, Udupi style!<br/><br/>Mathsya is a fine vegetarian restaurant offering breakfast in the morning traditional lunch and North Indian food at decent prices. Taste is authentic. Parking is a bit difficult. Very limited and often occupied.

Awesome food...strongly recommended

My friend invited me for a lunch get together. I made it to the place at the correct time. The bike parking needs improvement. The tables reserved for us is about 17 and we were served meals on the table. Well the service needs to be improved a lot. The attenders are not well versed with the kind of service that is needed when a gathering is there. The boards suggesting SILENCE Please needs to be removed. For a moment it looked as though we are there for a parent teacher meeting. People who opt for table booking are not allowed buffet. Well they get a raw deal. I have visited other places and certainly Mathsya needs to improve on the services. Food is not bad but could have been better. Since we are in a gathering more detailed requirements of the guests could be taken care and handled better. Hope the next time during my visit things would have changed.
Selvakumar DM
Not hating, being polite and friendly in this place for love and feedback: There is no waiter and cleaner distinction in this restaurant; both are the same person and same hands. Washing seems to be an alien concept and so is cleanliness. Hands that clear out the table and dishes, bring you your spoon and fork, carefully not holding them by their handles! Shirts full of oil and grease; not sure when it was washed. I won't be returning any time soon to any branch of Matsya. Basic hygiene comes first, we will worry about the taste later.
Ganesh
Restaurant ppl are not responding politely. Shows no interest for their customers. Please improve yourself. I will revisit later .. all the best
The Penny Pincher
I had ordered one masala dosa. It was a takeaway order. It was not that good with the size of the dosa being small. The sambar and chutney was strictly okay. Was expecting more as the price is higher.
MishtiMasalaa
Lunch at "MATSYA "<br/>You can choose either from a la carte or go for the buffet.<br/>I obviously chose the buffet,it had end no of options like 4 to 5 starter's,4 to 5 varieties of sabzi, roti, salad, fried rice, noodles, veg or Gobi Manchurian and some South Indian delicacies Luke rasam, curd rice ,etc<br/>And also dont miss the dessert counter.<br/>Price-₹400(which is worth for the varieties you get)<br/><br/>
Foodie Guy
Good food and ambience. The staff's response upon a concern about the fried rice was immediately attended and rectified. Courteous and polite staff. Should try their buffet some time.
Anand Subbu
We have been to this place with family and kids numerous times; mostly for the lunch buffets, and for à la carte couple of times. It has never been a let-down at Mathsya. This place is always a favorite with the kids, starting with the small play area at the reception, interesting welcome drinks, starters, yummy pasta live-counter and the dessert counter.<br/><br/>The buffet spread is pretty good and worth the price. The welcome drink, soup and starters are served at the table, after which you get to binge on the spread. The starters and main course alike are tasty and of good quality. With a good mix of north and south indian dishes, you have the option of choosing one over either depending on mood. There's poori and roti, dal as well as sambhar/rasam, biriyani as well as coloured rice like puliyodharai, lemon rice etc. Oh, there's also noodles and chinese gravy too. <br/><br/>The dessert spread has about half a dozen items to satiate your sweet tooth. There are live counters for chaat, pasta and ice cream. The creamy white pasta is delicious and the falooda at the ice cream counter is delectable. <br/><br/>And that, is about enough, to get you on a food coma.<br/><br/>The staff are quite nice and accommodate special needs of children and aged, if any. Will definitely visit again.

Grateful to the food I have ordered and received.. fabulous tasty food at doorstep is amazing.. packing is also great ..
Mohan Master Buffet
Pure Vegetarian Restaurant, also stands in No 1 for the Lowest Price of VEG BUFFET BREAKFAST. Prices for weekdays Rs 131 & for weekends Rs 157.<br/><br/>I was here on 18th November 2016 for buffet breakfast, Taste OK for very very reasonable price.<br/><br/>I loved the taste of Podi i mean Podi Dosa.<br/><br/>2nd Visit 29th of June 2018<br/><br/>After a long gap, feeling not good as seen before.

very good food

IDEAL FOR BUFFET<br/><br/>A decent multi cuisine vegetarian restaurant in the locality. Ala carte is not good here. The service for ala carte is also poor. As it is a udupi restaurant, selected items like mysore masala dosa and manglore bondas are a must try here. I suggest one must try buffet here as it is known for it. They have live dosa, pasta counters with wide range of items from starters to main course to desserts at a reasonable pricing. During special occasions like new year eve, they have numerous variety of buffet spreads which is a must try. Ambiance is really good but is always crowded. A good decent family restaurant which is ideal for buffet.
Lavanya Rangarajan
The food quality was really bad... worst. Sambar rasam had not taste . we regret ordering from mathsya

Very nice restaurant. Paradise for vegetarians. Tried the weekend special dinner buffet and was overall satisfied with their menu. Had lots of items in their menu. Price is reasonable.
Sandhya Viswanathan
The restaurant serves lovely food , especially north indian. The Indian side dishes and starters were great. I only felt that the veg fried rice that they serve, needs to be improved as it was not up to the mark. It tasted a lot more like pudina rice. Apart from the food, the ambience was great. The people were very friendly and prompt in bringing the dishes.<br/>
Umesh Rao
Tried their buffet breakfast. Disappointing. Their coconut chutney was without salt. Salt was added after pointing out the same. Lemon juice was watery. Poori masala too was bland. Only thing that was tasty was Pongal.
Medha
This rating is solely for their service. The manager was extremely rude, and did not treat us well to say the least. There was some mismatch in the bill, and he refused to change it. Really really disappointed with their behavior!!
Deepika M Balaji
Been there on a busy Saturday for lunch... good that we booked table in Zomato... ordered butter naan, malai kofta, mushroom, veg fried rice and sambar rice. The kofta in their malai kofta is something unique and never tasted this awesomeness before... And their sambar rice is out of the world with typical Udupi flavour... Definitely will visit again...
Somasundar
Good quality but taste of pav bhaji was lacking somewhere... quantity is inversely proportional to quality.. so less... coffee sorry quantity was more but bitter tasting... hence proved the theory.. but delivery was nice and timing good such a nice man came to my desk in office to deliver... GREAT
Nagarajan R
Went for a Sunday morning buffet breakfast with friends. It costs Rs 150+taxes. Decent amount of parking space.<br/>The bfast spread is good - idli, vada, Mangalore Bonda, pongal, chutney, sambar, sevai-kurma, poori-alu bhaji, tawa dosa, rava kesari, lime juice, tea/coffee.<br/>A caution... Vadas get exhausted by 9:30 am
Prabhu Ravikumar
very nice ambience. easy to identify from traffic. parking could be an issue during rush hours. we tried South Indian meals, which was awesome. rasa vadai is very good. very friendly staff. tried their buffet, decent but not great, value for money, dessert was awesome in buffet, but Chinese foods were not that great. overall, worth trying. hope this helps
Seshasayee Soundararajan
If you are a Vegan and if you are located in Chennai with a big tummy, this place is not to be missed. Definitely a good place to have a buffet (Value for money). Not the best place if you choose A la carte though. Not a greater ambience either.

<br/><br/>late review.. went here on a weekday.. place was not much crowded.. decent food... carrot halwa was yummy... liked the baby corn starter, paneer masala and mushroom fried rice.. for the price it's definitely worth..

It is very far from my area, went there with my family, we had a good time. Our order was Tex Mex Sizzler, Vegetable Sizzler, Tomato Uttapam. Rasam Vada, Lassi which tased like Dahi Vada, & Sizzling Browine with Ice cream. The Tex Mex was served with vegetable rolls and both the sizzlers were served with rice, french fries, vegetables with baby corn, the base was cabbage. They were very good, the rasam vada was amazing, especially the rasam which is popular. <br/><br/>Ambiance was very nice<br/><br/>Service was amazing, very friendly and very courteous <br/><br/>Atmosphere though it was crowded but it was good<br/><br/>Restrooms were very clean<br/><br/>Overall it was  wonderful

Went for lunch, but was put off by the crowd/mob ☹️ A la carte and buffet in the same zone causes nuisance to people who love to relish the food. Food quality is okay, but none of the items synchronised with the Udupi cuisine. A little disappointed. May be I chose a Sunday 🙄
Balasubramanian Kannan Subramanian
quantity of for is not sufficient and packing is not good and sweet quality is not good its like super syrup and vantha kulabu is missing in the package other all muthu poriyal and sambar is good rasam is not bad

2 * rating only for the hospitality... Ordered some starters and main course.. while taking the order itself, server Mr.Babu was not interested. We were discussing about ordering sizzler, but server interrupted and said it will take 30 mins. also said Western menu items will not be available for order after 10. Coming to the dishes served... Main course was served beginning itslef and starters arrived at last. We had a doubt on the served dishes and asked about the same to the server . He responded that it is the same which we ordered.. While cross-cheking with another server , he said it is not the one we ordered. When we called and asked the server Mr.Babu who took the order, he replied that usually that dish would look like that... And one of the main course served was not properly cooked. This one was taken back and given after proper cooking..And again.. There is no negatives to say about the food that was served... it is about the hospitality...

I was initially wary of trying out this place because of its name. But a quick check on Zomato told me it served only Veg food, so this was good to try out. The restaurant is attached to the Fabhotels Blossom Serviced Apartments and is conveniently located on Thanikachalam road, T nagar.<br/>Morning breakfast is buffet only, but quite a sumptuous one at that. Lunch and dinner have both buffet and a la carte options.<br/>We tried both lunch and dinner here. Food quality is good, esp liked the soft idlis, very much Bangalore darshini style.<br/>Service is good, the restaurant is almost always running full. But the waiting time for serving food is kept as normal as possible.<br/>Overall a must try if you are checking out Multi cuisine veg eateries in T nagar.

A decent place but needs a lot of improvements. south indian dishes are good compared to north indian dishes. ambiance is good and service is okay.

This place has lost it's standard.<br/>Quantity they serve is really small. Plates, glasses very untidy :/. We had to ask them to change it twice. <br/>We ordered vegetable cordue.. they gave us 4 pieces for ₹200 odd. It wasn't worth ₹50 for a piece.<br/>We ordered<br/>Baked cheese macroni - totally blunt. 3/5<br/>American chopsuey- they are trying to invent their own recipe. It was tomato soup with some mango and pineapple pieces. Again a bad choice. 2.5/5<br/>They have a very small bowl for side dish. It's not enough for 2 rotis itself :|.<br/>Im surely striking this place from my fav veg restaurants.

Very Avg. Breakfast buffet. Taste is okay. Less crowd seen today.. Have to work on improving the taste to pull the crowd back. Pongal alone tasted good. Overall, pocket friendly buffet during monthend. Cheers:-)

Too spicy Dosa. Also avoid packing hot items like Sambhar in plastic bags. It is injurious to health.

nice ambience, the pakka vegetarian restaurant.<br/>both buffet and casual dining is available.<br/>best place to hangout with family like family outings or get together.<br/>Food is great, bot too spicy for too mundane.<br/>The north and south Indian cuisine dishes were good. Pastas weren't that good, okayish!!<br/>The food is worth your money.<br/>no pictures of food, cos we were busy digging our buffet. :P

Breakfast Buffet  rate is affordable for the decent spread. But it doesn't offer satisfaction to my tastebud.<br/>Ala Carte menu items are overpriced. Thier Mysore Masala Dosa and  Raja Raja Chozhan Dosa are too good. The place is heavy crowded. And their service should be improved

A pure veg restaurant contrasting the name. A very big spacious hall with numerous tables and a huge crowd of people is how I would describe it. We opted to go for Ala carte and the food overall , I would say is average. Nothing extra special. However their cheese ball starters were so good that we ordered it twice. And their soup is utter waste. Wouldn't recommend any soup from here..<br/>A very good Value For Money place.<br/>Overall, a decent place to visit..

Reached Marsha, yet again. Was looking for a #PureVeg restaurant, nearby.<br/>Wanted to start with a single-vada. They would not serve! Why not? I don’t understand. <br/>“The order got to be for one plate, 2 pieces”. Customer choice/preference has no place!<br/>Ordered for a dosa, which was very good, as always.<br/>Would not go back as frequently, would explore places where they would serve single-vada 😀<br/>

I'm writing after a long time. Spent my birthday here with my family at Mathsya. I love the food here. The sizzler was worth the wait. The taste is always pleasing and apt. However, their oil content has gone up a notch. They need to reign in the oil in their food.<br/><br/>No complaints about the menu. The wide variety is aptly supported by the wait time. Bearable and justifiable.<br/><br/>They need to concentrate on their cleanliness in washrooms. If you are in hospitality industry, cleanliness scores you some brownie points. To be blunt, the washrooms cannot stink.<br/><br/>Overall...<br/><br/>Food...4<br/>Ambience....3.5<br/>Service....3<br/>Cleanliness....2.5

I went for a buffet lunch on a weekday and the restaurant was somewhat full. I could see crowd at around 2pm. Coming to food part, all the items were okay esp bonda onion pakoda gobi paneer mushroom and roti. It was worth 352 rupees but deserts were not gud. I found the jilebi sour. I think it was spoiled and people were still eating it without complaining. A decent buffet overall. Cant they keep gud food in buffet. Keeping stale dishes like this spoils the name of the restaurant. I wont come again to this place.

A very good vegetarian buffet for Rs 390 plus GST. Wide spread options including continental and Indian dishes, live counter and a good ambience which even made me appreciate the outlet. <br/><br/>Must try for a Value for money vegetarian buffet in Chennai!
