Awesome waffles!! Its a heaven of waffles!!! Located in a calm and peaceful area near nugambakkam. It is like a residential house! Boy o boy awesome variety of waffles both in desserts and savoury!! Must try all .. rosemary tea was awesome!! Check out my pics which i have tasted!!

One of the best places in town to try waffles. It is on the first floor and has a good interior design. They have high chairs as well as sofa's for seating. The presentation of the waffles makes it more attractive and makes your mouth drool. It was a little bit pricey.

I love this place! I decided to try the chef's recommendation during my first visit so, I had a Red Carpet Raspberry waffle and it was so good. Their waffles are vegetarian friendly. I also tried their Belgian Chocolate milkshake and the Mutter Paneer waan. I loved the milkshake but the waan wasn't that good. The ambiance was nice and cozy. Their service was good. Pricing is moderate and not too expensive. Overall, you'll enjoy this place if you love waffles.

Wonderful ambience and nice food. It's basically a vegan place so no much options for Non-veg lovers. There's a beautiful garden which is decorated. Parking available. Overall good place for quick reply up and chat with friends and besties. Good for dates too. Can visit 2-3 times. Service is decently good.

Waf O'Bel! Been craving to try this place out for a very long time. This place is quite a bliss! Let me get to the review, Our order was, 1. Dark Hot Chocolate- made from 54.5% callebaut dark chocolates sourced from the finest chocolate producers in the, Callebaut of Belgium. This was the very reason i had been craving for this place. Pure love. ❤ 2. Chipotle Corn Waans- waffle pockets filled lettuce , corn and loads of mozzarella cheese! 3. Mushroom waans- creamy sauteed mushrooms with a hint of chili, chef's recommended waans! You'll love it. 4. Cappuccino- made from the fresh grounded hankal heights beans sourced from chikmagalur. Brings out the coffee lover in you. ♨ The ambience was crowded and the interiors were good. The service was a bit slow because of the crowd. But it was worth the wait. Great waffles! Some aren't upto par.. Especially some of the more popular drinks.. But, great place and staff. Feels very posh! Very friendly staff. Warm, cosy atmosphere makes you feel welcome. This is the best place to have waffels in Chennai. We ordered americano, lemon ice tea, hot chocolate and afogato (it was really yum).. we ordered two waffelz one munchy and another apple pie.we didn't like the apple one. However munchy one was awesome. It's a nice place ambiance is also soothing. Location is also good. There server are also nice and polite. Thank you will visit again....

Absolutely loved their apple crumble waffles! Although they did not have vanilla ice cream to accompany the waffles (how can one not have vanilla ice cream), but cookies and cream went well with the waffles. Moreover the ice cream was not too sweet. We also ordered a margarita savory waffle. I would ask you to miss this one, the cheese put in this one ruined the taste for me. The 4 stars are only for the apple crumble waffle!

You get the most amazing Belgian waffles here..both sweet and savoury. .my favorites is the apple crumble and Chipotle veg.. Small space and will cause additional excitment if you are into Tintin comics..

Ambience was really good. Waffles were exceptional no doubt on that they use fresh fruits to make it even more delicious the. They also have Tintin comics and few books to keep you occupied while eating.

Great waffles! The staff is pretty knowledgeable and suggest a good combination if you tell them what you like. The Tintin theme connects with Belgium and with the kids who come over from the schools in the neighbourhood.

Waffles here are so good to taste. But the only discomfort is its place. It's situated in a home like place on second floor. We thought the shop was actually closed. The shop board was also covered with the leaves of a tree. The ambience and food was worth a try.

Waf O Bel is a small cafe located in a very secluded place. We went there on a Saturday evening. It was completely empty. We ordered Munchy Waffle and Discovery Platter. The waffle was a little different with some kind of added flavour in the dough. But it didn’t match with the description in the menu which was a disappointment. The description made it look very chocolaty but that wasn’t actually the case. It only had ice cream and munch on top. The chocolate syrup was also not great. On the other hand, the Discovery Platter was nice. It looked like a very healthy option. The taste was also subtle. Their service was pretty quick. They say that they serve ‘Belgian waffles’ but they aren’t even close.

When I had the basic item from this which was the waffle with maple syrup, I just fell in love with it completely. Service was really good and easy all because of the tab we can use for ordering, staff members were courteous and polite. Love the comic books they have kept for reading!

Wafobel has always been my spot for crispy yummy Belgian waffles . Milkshakes, hot chocolates and coffee are absolutely amazing here apart from the waffles. Service is made easy by the tab in which you would order your wants. Ambience is very calm and friendly.

For sweet tooth, you have to try this place . I personally like this place . The ambiance is good and serves most delicious food. You can read comics while you enjoy your treat.

Tucked in the 13th Avenue in Chetpet near Lady Andal school, the Cafe is both centrally located and away from jarring traffic.<br/>The staff are quite friendly and wait time to be served is about 20-30 mins, but okay considering they cook fresh waffles for us. Their topping option or add on is good. However, would be nice if staff can suggest us by asking preferences. Would be good for someone who is confused at all the options they have. Waffles are worth every penny. Their waans are slightly expensive for just two pieces.<br/>It's a great spot for catch ups and perfectly priced for a good evening eat out. Can't wait to visit again.

Neat place for a late breakfast. Went with family and tried five different types of waffles, all enjoyed very much. Not a large place but with a good woody decor and nostalgic Tintin frames adorning the walls. Not many serving staff but good enough to get the job done. A bit late serving though. To start this is a 4.5 restaurant but am not able to give that rating on my phone. The waffles here were near perfect. Great taste. The waffles were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. We tried the Tiramisu one and the red velvet one and both tasted perfect. They have a few good options which I will try on a later day. The (-) 0.5 was only for the location. Quite confusing coming in when you are not familiar with the area. Overall great waffles!!

It was nice chill when we went with actually only 2 other diners.<br/>Food - I was so hungry that I ordered mushroom waan which was a little bland for me but saucy enough. The rajma salad given along with did not impress me much.<br/>The checkerboard waffles seriously the lightest and the best waffle I have had so far. They were so light, crispy and yummy with their vanilla ice cream. It was just not enough for me. Ambience is good. Method of ordering food through a tab is innovative. According to me, waffles could be a tad crispier. But it depends upon the need of the person. Located in the interior of Harrington road an house in a flat is converted into a restaurant. The ambience is cozy and cool and well lit up for a bright conversation. The food is pretty good and quality is maintained. We ordered for strawberry waffle with fresh strawberries fresh cream and in house made strawberry sauce and waffle of the month blueberry cheesecake waffle topped with cream cheese and blueberry sauce and bitter dark hot chocolate. Though the quantity is less feels satisfied when leaving.

Located in a small street in the heart of the city, this quaint little place is full of surprises. The staff are warm and friendly hand have been well-trained. The food looks absolutely spectacular and is engineered to get your taste buds tingling. It's an absolute pleasure. My slight problem is that the food does not taste as good as it looks. The staff are awesome with their cool gadgets, which makes for a smooth experience, but, I wish they had a bit more knowledge on the actual dishes themselves. Also, the quantity I got for the price paid was underwhelming. But, another factor I have to take into consideration is that the rent at Harrington Road is extremely expensive. So, I'm not sure if I'm justified in asking for more. • Authentic Belgian Waffles •<br/><br/>This place finds itself on a quiet street , a little deviated from the Main Road and is right opposite to the New Pantry D'or .<br/><br/>Waf'O'Bel does really serve authentic Belgian Waffles and there's no doubt about it. I was invited over for a tasting session to try out their new entrants called Tartines which a basically an open sandwich on a Baguette bread.<br/><br/>What I tried :<br/>🌟 Choc-0-Shock Waffle<br/>🌟 Hot Chocolate<br/>🌟 Mushroom Ratatouille.<br/>🌟 Tamato Tartines<br/><br/>So everything I tried was very good , especially the Belgian Hot Chocolate . The Baguette bread had a really good texture to it and also made the dish presentable.

I expected a lot from this place given the great Zomato ratings. The place is nice and quiet. Service is decent. But I must say, they serve the worst waffles I have ever had.

A calm place to go and make the most with your buddies.. The RED VELVET WAFFLE and the CHOCO MUCH WAFFLE was brillant...sooooo yummy and filling..

Wonderful place to sate your waffle appetite. The savoury waffle pockets called 'waan', I think, were average but no complaints about them. The dessert versions were just perfect. It had the perfect combination of crunchiness and softness and was a delight in every bite. The extra dark hot chocolate would be a bonus for every bitter chocolate fan to wash down your food. Would recommend this place for anyone with a sweet tooth.

Waf O'Bel is in one of the most serene neighbourhoods in Chennai; The tiny side street where it's located is easy to miss if you're not looking for it, and if you're depending on Google maps to guide you - well, she just might let you down. The street in question is right next to the Cafe Coffee Day on Harrington road - You're welcome!<br/><br/>If you're driving to the place, you may have difficulty finding a spot to park your car - The place doesn't have parking, and it's in the middle of a residential area, with cars already lining both sides of the road. Good luck!<br/><br/>You know that the place is going to be awesome from the minute you set foot in the building, right from the decorative bicycle hanging on the wall to the grand sign out front. The ambience inside does not disappoint - The place is classy and elegant, and is decorated with art related to the only thing more Belgian than waffles - Tintin! The menu is a tablet, as is becoming more and more popular, and is convenient to place your order on.<br/><br/>The waffles here are amazing - Over the course of all our visits here so far, me and my waffle-crazy wife have tried almost everything on the menu, and have been completely satisfied with everything! The Apple Crumble, Banana Split and Dream Team are all must-try, and some of the others, like Munchy and Cookie Cruch are a bit more adventurous. Remember to order the add-ons - We almost always order salted caramel sauce, and something else that complements the waffles. The savoury waans perfectly offset the sweet goodness of the waffles - My personal favourite is the corn and spinach. Extra effort goes into presentation, I think - everything is always picture-perfect.<br/><br/>The staff is polite and patient. The food is decently priced, and is more than compensated by the overall dining experience. This is definitely a place to visit regularly if you love waffles, and at least once if you are looking for an elegant dining experience that involves waffles :)

Very calm and subtle place and the waffles are served with a great presentation skills the ambience is well set with tin Tim series the red velvet was a heart throbe but felt the cost was on upper side

Waffle heaven 😇<br/><br/>Reached at the time of the closing just before 11pm, but still they served the most amazing waffles of the city.<br/><br/>Ordered the apple crunch waffle and white and dark chocolate combo - both were so balanced on the pallet.<br/><br/>Best is the presentation, giving a small customised attempt. See for yourself in the pictures.<br/><br/>Edit - place which keeps calling you back.<br/>This time troey the strawberry waffle, honey to be ordered separately to make the waffle ooze in mouth.<br/>Totally enjoyed it 💟

I was very disappointed after going to this place after the hype..<br/>This was a long due visit and I was so glad I made it..<br/>I was aware of the fact that the waffles made here are crispy.. but I did not expect it to be this crispier and the whipped cream was too sour I feel..<br/>It was just bland on the whole<br/>I felt it was too pricy when u have to keep doing the add-ons on the other hand prices would shoot too..<br/><br/>Totally disappointed

We ordered Red Velevet and The Munchy waffles. Both were quite good. The red velvet was. Exquisite. The service is quite slow though. But amazing waffles. Would definitely visit again. The red velvet waffle is sinfully delicious. We also tried a rosemary tea. It basically was just aromatic hot water. Wouldn't really recommend.

That's what Waf O'Bel offers for you. An exclusive joint just for Waffles. The Cookie Crunch as the name was very crunchy with cookie crumbles and a lot of Belgian Chocolate. The Waffle was freshly baked and was hot out of the oven. How many Waffle lovers out there? You should surely check out this place. For the menu, there was a innovative method of ordering through a tab 👍 It included the pictures of what we are ordering which makes choosing a cake walk. Similar to the customization of menu, topping where also available but unfortunately only banana split was there.<br/><br/>Ordered Red Velvet ,Raspberry Sundae:It had vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and raspberry compote and was absolutely delicious.

Rushed here at 10.45 to grab a bite. The server was kind enough to serve us even though they shut at 11. We started of with the savoury mushroom waffle, which was pretty average. The side salad of red kidney beans was raw. But boy oh boy did the dessert waffles make up for it. We had the fresh mango and the apple crumble with ice cream. The waffles were moist, hot and perfectly crisp. The toppings were generous without making the waffle soggy. And shockingly enough the waffles were eggless. Kudos to this place for serving eggless waffles that retained the texture and taste of regular waffles!! I hate places that serve bad desserts in the name of eggless. This place has definitely set a benchmark for eggless waffles for moi. Cheers!!

The ambience is so cosy and nice and the waffles are definitely to die for ...the perfect crunchy waffles..I can eat them everyday. Definitely a must try if you are a waffle lover or want to try it for the first time.

I tried waffles for the first time here , and then I have tried it in various outlets but nothing can beat the waffles made here ... The perfect crispy outer crest with the soft perfect inner part makes it THE BEST waffle .... Red velvet waffle and banana split are my favourite ...

The only main reason me and my friends go out is to eat. So on the day, our first place to hit was Waf O’Bel as me being a waffle lover and after all the great reviews. It was pretty difficult for us to find the place because it’s located pretty inside of Chetpet and even google map got us confusing. The place looked very homely and very calm,felt like visiting a friend’s place. I tried the checkmate with some flavoured ice tea and boy, it was freaking good! Not only it tasted good, the way it presented was really cute! We finished the waffle just in seconds. 💕 So the 5 stars is for the great food, courteous service and for the peaceful ambience! I’d highly recommend!

Waf O'Bel is the perfect place to go to if you love waffles and some authentic Belgian chocolates. It's amazing how they can bake such light and airy waffles without eggs! The wans (especially mushroom wan) is a delightful savoury.<br/>The place is centrally located, yet secluded from the noise of Harrington road. I enjoy going here on my good days and bad, for just a classic waffle and coffee, or to give in to the chocolaty pleasures. Absolutely recommend this amazing place. Having come to Chennai after a really long time, wanted to visit the top places in each category... Picked this Belgium loving joint instantly and arrived after a touring walk... Ordered the Tiramisu Waffle.<br/>Quality of toppings used is very good! This is usually an ignored one in this category is desserts, but Waf O Bel delivers full - on in this point.<br/>However, the waffle itself was very over done.. Which was a let down to me.<br/>Having eaten Waffles through the length and breath of the Country, a place which charges so much for their Waffle based desserts needs to score full marks with their base ingredient!<br/>Spoilt my experience!

This is the best hot chocolate I've ever had in my life. The perfect place to find the perfect cup of hot chocolate , yummy mushroom waans and delicious red velvet with cream cheese waffles. Excited to taste the "Waffle of the Month". 😋

Waf-O-Bel, near Harrington road, Chetpet<br/><br/>This place is VERY popular in its specialty. Waffles naale Waf-O-Bel dhaan range ku popular. Have been postponing a visit due to it's price being on the higher side. Finally decided to visit this sis, and ended up with an average experience.<br/><br/>Not saying that Waf-O-Bel isn't good. Just that it didn't live up to the hype and not worth the price.<br/><br/>The waffles served in Waf-O-Bel is a bit different from most other waffle places. It's crispier than usual and almost hollow on the inside. Usual waffles would be soft and well baked inside rather than hollow. Was surprised with that. Not a complaint, just not what I was expecting. <br/><br/>The service needs some course-correction. We were the only customers there and yet the waiters were busy in another room and we had to wait for any of them to turn our side to call them. Though the waiter obliged to our request of cutting the waffle to 2 pieces so we can share, (after we took our pictures) he visibly rolled his eyes when we asked. I understand everybody has frustrations about their job, but this shouldn't affect their attitude towards their customers.<br/><br/>We had Dream team and Munchies. Munchies was just a waffle, topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and munches accompanied by a cup chocolate sauce. Was just too plain and simple for the price. Would not recommend. Dream team on the other hand was yumm and relatively cheaper. Waffle topped with chocolate ice cream, 2 types of whipped cream and a bit of chocolate sauce. Would recommend this in case you visit.<br/><br/>Verdict: Waf-O-Bel was decent and average. When you have "That waffle places" that serves 2 waffle slices and a variety of fillings for a cheaper price, or "Chocolate Heaven" that serves waffles at about the same price but makes you feel overwhelmed with the toppings and go wow at every bite, the only reason I could think of for choosing this place over the others is for it's fine-dining.
