Good food - atmosphere is little old. Service was wonderful. We ordered sheek kabab (very good and authentic), Gobi manchurian (fine taste), veg fried rice (good one), butterscotch icecream (it was okie) and virgin Mojito with soda (little strong) - overall a good try and will come again

Very clean and well-lighted place. It has a menu covering a wide range of dishes, from vegetarian to non-vegetarian options. You also get to choose from an array of drinks. The waiters are well behaved. They speak English, Hindi, Tamil, and even Bangla. Recommend place. During lunch and dinner, it can get a bit crowded.

This restaurant is good for kebabs, sizzlers and platters. 😋 We had kebabs but forgot to take pic of it. 😜 The taste of biryani is not upto the mark. 😞 Their hot sizzlers is a must try item. 👍🏼 It is an expensive place but quantity and quality is good. 🙂 The staffs were polite. The ambiance was good.

Great place for Non-vegetarians. But that doesn't mean there were no options for vegetarians. It does have a good variety for vegetarians but there are plenty more for Non-vegetarians. Nice ambience with a cozy atmosphere. A good place to dine in as a group.

It was a fabulous experience at zaitoon , Nungambakkam. Every dish was so delicious including the chicken biriyani, hot and sour soup, green pepper kebab. The service was very good .

Always a pleasant experience here. They have good parking management. They can seat a lot of famalies So hardly people will have to wait. Food quality is top notch and everything comes in pretty quick. Must try are the mutton mandi and thier smoothies.

Visited my go-to restaurant for Dine-in after a pretty loooong time. It didn't disappoint. Food was served fast. Everything was as it should be. The portions in each serving is more than enough for two. Tried Crab🦀 Tawa Fry for the first time here....Really loved it 👌. P.S it has a very strong crab flavour so some may not like it.

One of the best joints in Chennai that serve authentic arabian and lebanese cuisine.The staff is extremely friendly, well behaved and communicative. When i visited Chennai, this was my go to place for dinner. What started with a shawarma roll, ended in me trying most of the dishes of their menu. Besides tandooris, BBQs , they also have very delectable indo-chinese dishes. Also their seafood dishes are something to crave for. This joint is a must try for any foodie visiting Chennai👌.

Zaitoon restaurant is fantastic, my lunch was delicious, we ordered BBQ biriyani, 5 people can have one biriyani easily Taste was so fantastic Ambience was superb 👌 Service was excellent People who take order are well aware of the food available in the restaurant. This is a very unique quality which you may not find in most of the restaurant. Definitely I would recommend this restaurant, you will also have very good time.

Just wow mesmerized by the ambience staff were helpful place is such a hit that it's always crowded. Coming to food they won our hearts big size portion fresh ingredients we had tawa fish, prawn manchurian, dal fry, steam rice, Naan, kunefe was the best I tried in all of chennai..had a wonderful time with my loved one..if you thinking about it please do visit sure to win your heart..

Chicken angara kebab: It is a kind of mix between tandoori and bbq with mayonnaise on top. The chicken was really juicy. Excellent dish. Garlic naan: no complaints about this. Mutton rogan josh: well, it was a disappointment. It was like a regular mutton curry. Prawns fried rice: Good one. Tawa fish fry: my favourite dish from Zaitoon.

The place turned out to be better than what I expected. The best thing about this place is that there was ample amounts of spacing between the tables. The lighting was pretty good as well. The service was good but could have been better. The taste was great for the asking price and the order was served quickly.

Went there by 3 pm on Saturday. Thought it would be empty. But I was wrong. We had to wait there for more than 15 mins. The service was kinda slow. Not sure whether it's because of the crowd but if you lack the patience , you won't feel like dining here. The food was as usual tasty. Their faloodas are the best in the desserts. Good for group lunches. They do have valet parking.

This restaurant literally saved me from starving in Chennai. I am not well suited with South Indian cuisine so yeah this was a go to place. Although they should increase their space. It's already quite big but the demand is bigger which again speaks for itself.

One of the best places for having north indian food. Especially loved the unlimited thali buffet which included different types of cutlets, pani puris, paneer tikkas and chats as starters. The main course had roti,veg pulao, an assortment of curries and dry veg fries. The ambience is designed around Rajasthani palaces which adds to the royal dining experience

This place satisfies the gluttony in you, the taste and quality of food is just whoa! The thali is what I had. It was the best! Everything from the Appetizers, MainCourse was delicious and finishing it off with some Jalebi and Rabdi. These guys put actual Kesar in the Rabdi to get that colour and flavour! And Mr. Mohan’s (manager) really does know how to build a rapport with a customer, this was like the third time I’ve been there and he knows me by name. The ambience is obviously great too! All in all I am a happy diner!

So incase you are a paneer lover, a definite place for you.<br/><br/>We ordered Sirke pyaaz wala paneer which is a chef recommended item and no doubt it should be. Paneer was very soft. Food is excellent...no two ways about it.<br/><br/>We (group of 5) went for lunch thalis (Monday menu)...every item tasted really good.<br/><br/>Service we felt was a little lacking and reluctant. Just to give an example, if someone likes a particular item that is served, and requests for another helping, the second helping comes very reluctantly...and is also lacking (if you ask for two, only one comes). If it's a limited thali, it needs to be clearly specified. People are coming here to have a good meal, and not to see grouchy faces of the serving staff. The restaurant needs to work on this aspect.

The paneer gravy I requested was jain. But that does not mean it should not have any spices. There was very less salt that I could hardly eat it and inspite if requesting cutlery, it was not there in parcel. I ordered from this restaurant because I love the food in delhi highway bangalore. But here the experience was very bad.

Did a thorough analysis and zeroed at delhi highway, but ended with frustration.<br/><br/>There were too much time for serving every starter, also when ask for another time, the staff argues that the item has already been served.<br/><br/>Instead of marking as unlimited, they can say as limited thali. The staff crying everytime when ask for refill.<br/><br/>I could see the person seems to be a manager pushing their staffs, but they are hesitant.<br/><br/>Taste wise , all are good. But the experience is not good.<br/><br/>Sorry, will not try again and would not recommend too.

This place really rocks when it comes to North Indian cuisine. Loads of choices. Super quick preperation time... Yes, you heard that right! Orders arrive real quick so you can cut out the chat and dig in to the food! Service on a couple of instance was not good, but in general I think this is a good place to go with family and friends. Believe me they won't make you wait for your food!!

6 stars .. must visit if u r a pure veggie & love North Indian food. From start to finish, everything went perfect for us. Staff were very courteous & prompt. We ordered unlimited thali. The staff were very kind to serve us few of the items 2 or 3 times with a smile on their face. It was a very sumptuous meal. We did not feel the tightness in our stomach even after eating to our full, Which I think is the hallmark of a good restaurant. Will definitely visit again 😊. Highly recommended

This is a good place and I love the food that they are serving there as starters. Being a girl, chatpata food is always favourite. I love the paanipuri, papad cone, mojito, sevpuri, cutlet erc and the thali last one...

A cozy restaurant with beautiful ambience. Been here a couple of times for lunch and always ordered the thaali. The dishes vary a little through the week but the thaali is exquisite. It has a few mediocre dishes like the biryani and a few chaats. The kebabs, daal makhani and paneer are to die for. It starts with sarbat and ends with 3 dessert. They load you with food till you say no. Definitely worth the money.

The food is good as akways .have been visting whenever in chennai.....i now find no valet parking and thus is a disatisfier....with very kittke larki g space around and stressful....the management should bring it back.

We requested for spicy less food with less garam masala. Looks like they serve already cooked food. Got double spicy food which we were allergic. No intention to change and make it better, though we said we are allergic.

Food was good but they served food very uncourtly. Servers were somewhat bereft of basic etiquettes and inconsiderate. Order was incomplete but they happily charged that item too. At last, happy to see that they withdrew the same unhesitatingly.

One of the best Vegetarian restaurants in Chennai. The Paneer dishes are excellent and the variety of bread are simply mouthwatering. Surely worth a visit with family and friends. Parking may be a bit of a problem, but the valet option makes it convenient. All in all a good place!!! Recommended

A small restaurant with nice ambiance. Good place for authentic North Indian cuisine. The taste was really good. We had rumali roti, naram dil kebab, paneer butter masala and masala chaas. Everything tasted great. The service was also prompt!! Will visit again sure.

Of course there were a few exceptions where the starters were bad like the Masala papad and methi poori tostada. Delhi highway is a regular visit for us. Their food is super delicious and also it's pocket friendly. The soups and starters are the best. We have a fixed menu and don't need to think of what to order

What a place for North Indian cuisine! Worth every penny spent. We frequent this place for lunch buffet and the taste is always consistent and variety is bang for the buck. You won't find better North Indian food anywhere else in Chennai

Their tandoori baby kulcha is a must try. Roasted papad is good . Tomato soup is good . Their lassi is awesome . North Indian gravys are quite good. Gold membership offers discounts here . Romalai roti was bad and cold otherwise 5 star.can improve

This restaurant had very cool ambience and good service. The best part is it serves jain food and which i dint feel like i was having the food without onion and garlic. We ordered mushroom soup, dahi kakab, mushroom tikka, dum biryani and naan with malai kofta, i liked everything but in specific dahi kabab was really tasty and soft. Malai kofta was different its base was with cashews which was really rich but the only thing was it has was very sweet. Overall its a very nice place to have north indian dishes.

This is a place i frequent often. Great north indian food. Very tasty . Never a bad day . Recently we celebrated my mother in laws 70th birthday . Had a great bash . Kids loved the starters . Great platters. Must try their combo which is a great quick lunch to have and yet very filling. Manager Mr Mohan s hospitality is worth mentioning. Great service and staff too. Recommended strongly.

Not so pleasant experience. The place looks royal with fancy crockery but the service, quality of food took the back seat. To start with<br/><br/>1) Masala Papad : crisp papad with good masala spread feels filling and yum.<br/><br/>2) Panner tikka Classic : Panneer was really soft with right flavors. Cube of capsicum and tomato completed the dish. Paneer lover : Yes, Go for it!!<br/><br/>3) Malai kofta with Red gravy : It sucked big time! Such predominant flavor of elaichi couldnt let us take one more bite. we complained so got butter panner masala as the substitute. This really covered for the spoiled former dish.<br/><br/>4) Dal sunehari : Out of the world, Right amount of jeera, garlic and proper consistency. My favorite dish .<br/><br/>5) Garlic naan and pudina paratha : Garlic naan was crisp with less amount of garlic while pudina paratha had good pudina flavor and right crispness. <br/><br/>The things which turned us off was 1) Waiters had no experience ; how to serve and from where to serve, they were completely clueless.<br/>2) Hygiene : I asked waiter to fill the glass with water. Very bad service . The moment we told them Zomato gold , we were treated so badly . I felt insulted . N between 2 ppl we order Sabji n dal n 2 Roti cos both of us had our preference on Sabji . And the waiters goes abt sayin no parcel . We ordered refreshments. Not tat jus 2 items . We went by 10.30 n by d time d food came was 10.45 n he says tell me what ever additional order d moment he served . If not kitchen closed . By 11 he was jus standing beside our table jus to grab the plate . Before I could finish he cleared my plate . I would never ever visit their place .

A weekend evening must deserve something as I checked out this restaurant to try some North Indian dishes. The ambience was good and the staffs were very attentive.<br/><br/>The starters started with panner tikka which was really soft and no words to that quality. In the main course I tried the breads with daal makkani which makes an elegant dinner. Then I ordered biryani which disappoints me a lot as the masala weren't mixed properly topper portion was ok but the bottom remains too spicy. Very bad experience as a Zomato gold member, half the items in the menu are not allowed for gold members. Had some rice as leftover, they did not allow to pack it as we had used Zomato gold. Manager was fine with throwing away the leftovers instead pack it. Felt very sad to waste food instead of giving it to someone poor. Would strongly recommend to avoid this restaurant if you are planning to use Zomato gold

I'm giving a low rating purely for the ATTITUDE of the SUPERVISOR/MANAGER at the restaurant. We went last night for dinner at the knk road Delhi highway. Food was decent and we've dined at their omr branch and it was just fine. We all know service charge is not a mandatory tax and can only be charged to the bill if the customer is willing to pay it. After our dinner last night at the knk outlet, we were automatically billed with service charges added to our bill. This is not uncommon for restaurants to do, but usually the restaurants take it off your bill if you do not want to pay it. We spoke to the restaurant supervisor/manager and told that we would like this charges taken off our bill. To which, he had a stupid argument saying how he EXPECTS us to pay it BECAUSE we used Zomato gold and that he is offering us a discount so we are obliged to pay. I mean, first of all, the Zomato gold is a PAID membership. I paid for it. And #2, I'm not eating for free. The manager had such stupid reasoning that since they are partners with Zomato, we are obliged to pay them a tax which is NOT mandated to be paid. At this point, it's not even about the tax for me, it's his rationale and attitude towards a paying customer. We didn't want to pick a fight because we were rushing to leave, so ended up paying the tax that he literally forced upon us. Bad experience with food ordered on delivery. Zomato delivery and other things were prompt and upto the mark, but the food itself as well as packing was no where near the price they ask for. In prantha combo priced at Rs 295 (+taxes extra), you will get 1 tasteless prantha cut in 4 pieces , with NO CURD or RAITA, 1 miniscule quantity of daal makhani , and 1 another miniscule quantity of very poorly cooked dry white gram. Then in 1 paper bowl packing they pack , raw mango pickle with lots of oil that leaks out due to paper bowl packing and onion and lemon in the same paper bowl, so that when you will get the food the lemon, the onion , everything will be soaked in pickle oil. To top it all, this restaurant doesn't even extends the basic courtesy of supplying tissue or plastics spoon or anything else along with the food. The food as i mentioned was below average and considering the price they ask for , its a loot. The restaurant has no idea about how Delhi food is, and even some other restaurants in south make much better North Indian food than this place. Not recommended at all based on the experience that i had.

They claim to serve authentic delhi food, but it’s not even a little close for example while receiving Paneer Tikka, they said Paneer Tikka doesn’t come with chargrilled onions, since it was my moms birthday and dint want to hop off to another restaurant... they serve unauthentic paneer tikka and to the matter of fact not even a authentic delhi food ... also the cost for a Roti is 70+gst, that’s like having 4 good tandoor rotis in a good rated restaurant in Delhi ... They really need to improve along with the manager they have .. who is no clue of how foods are served and tastes in Delhi. <br/><br/>Go at your own risk if your expecting a chargrilled onion in the Paneer Tikka....

The best North Indian thali I've ever had - so fulfilling & satisfying! They serve a variety of things starting with soup & ends with a dessert. Every dish they serve tastes really good. The ala carte food is good as well!

This was based on my experience at the physical restaurant. Initially it was the same with online orders. However the the last two times we placed online orders, the food was astonishingly bad. Everything had a chemical after taste. I'm not sure if the quality and taste of the food differs between restaurant and delivery, or your in-house cook and management have changed. Whatever the reason I gave a second chance to the restaurant hoping my previous experience was due to an off day, but the second time was a disappointment as well. I hope you get your act together fast, would hate to see the decline of a once worthy establishment.

It was imense pleasure to be there and see Dhaba style food, notrh Indian influenced delicacies. If you are in Chennai the best place to try and some are of improvement could be better, like amirtsari kulcha and lachha paratha could be better by taste and to be well cooked. Hence enjoyed the dinning experience. Service is superb, Rakesh was fantastic by his service

On a Saturday night, we entered the knk road in pursuit of food. With a lot of options in our hand, we decided to try out the Delhi Highway. The restaurant was calm and well lit, otherwise there was nothing special in terms of the ambience. They had ample seating available. Ideally, there shouldn’t be a waiting time for your table.

The quality of the food as good and so was the service but food the taste more on the sweet side!!! Ordered their thali the spread on the plate was amazing but the main course all the curries were sweet and all the curries also tasted the same... may be not to my taste!!!!

We visited this restaurant today. I have a gold membership with me. I have no complaints with the food it was all good. But the very disheartening part is that we were not allowed to take the left overs of the food we ordered just because I own a zomato gold. When called zomato they said this is not a decision by zomato and it is the decision of the restaurant. The food is going to waste, they are anyway going to garbage it.<br/>Hated the behaviour/decision of the restaurant.<br/>You guys need to start knowing the importance of food. Garbaging food is not a good thing.<br/>Please take this feedback seriously.

Straight up... the food tastes great! Though we went for Maharaja Thali for which it is famous, it wasn't available on Sunday. Ordered tomato soup, masala papad, paneer lababdar, stuffed kulcha and Hyderabadi biryani. Dessert options were limited, we went for shahi la tukda which was tasty. A must visit. It's ambience is good but it's other outlet in Shollinganalur beats this one.

We were looking for some north Indian vegetarian restaurant near Nungambakkam and we found Delhi Highway in the suggestion. This was our first visit here and I must say the behaviour of the staffs was very charming and the ambience was fair enough for a north Indian restaurant. We order tandoori roti and diwani handi in the main course and kesariya firni in desert. Roti was freshly made, warm and fluffy; diwani handi was more or less palang paneer along with vegetables. The taste was good. I loved the firni by the look itself as it was nicely garnished with chopped dry fruits. Taste wise, I would have preferred a little more thicker consistancy. Overall the food was nice.

I come by 1st time here. Food & service very good. Naram dil kebeb is very very awesome. Staff very friendly . If you like vegetarian so come this place.

Went here for a family dinner. The food was amazing.<br/><br/>Service: courteous and friendly staff who explained items on the menu and got them to our table quickly. Valet parking is the obvious choice for this place. At the end of the meal they missed one item on our bill and they added it after we informed them.<br/><br/>Food: We had the Paneer platter and charcoal mushroom dishes for starters. Rotis / Paratha with dal makhni and chole which were very tasty. We ordered virgin pinacolada, sweet lime juice, jaljeera and sweet lassi. The lassi was one of the best i have tasted in Chennai.<br/><br/>Ambience: very neat and posh seating. Enough space to move around. But large groups of 15+ might have to book in advance and go. Washroom area is a complete let down though. This is the only reason this is not a 5 star rating.<br/><br/>It is a must try place for vegetarians who like North Indian food. Just ask for the finger bowl and avoid the wash basin and you will have a great time.

To start with if you look at it as a hotel just for the sake of food, I will give a thumbs up to this hotel for sure. We ordered Veg Biryani which tasted yummy. We also had Parota and Bindi Masala which was very good. The service was bad, if atrocious is a rude word. We spent about 2 and half hours there and were served water only once at the start even though we reminded the person multiple times to bring water. The Menu card arrived just once at the start and even after multiple times reminding for water and the menu card, they never came. The people serving were seeming to be so busy as to solve a major international crisis whereas in the real, I seriously dont know what they were doing. They were roaming about but never got the things we asked. It became so bad at a point that after waiting for 0 minutes for water and menu card to order the dessert, we decided to skip desserts all together. And the best part was the chass that we ordered at the start did not turn up till the end and finally turned up in the bill. One thing I can appreciate about the consistency was that they took close to 20 minutes for giving me the bill after I asked and even payment had same consistency. We had to go to the front desk and informed him about the discrepancy in the bill and he reduced the chass and updated the bill and we paid and left. <br/><br/>Ohh I forgot to mention, please see to it that you complete the food that you have ordered. If you are one of them who finishes some and does take away for the remaining food, i would suggest please force yourself and complete the food. It will take atleast 20 minutes for the person to take the food from our table and give for parcel and another 10-15 minutes for the food to be back. So better finish the food and try to digest it by the time the bill comes since as I said, it takes close to half hour for whole billing process to complete.<br/><br/>Coming to the must repeat part that i mentioned before...try to do Swiggy or Uber Eats or Zomato for the food since the taste is worth it and better to have it peacefully at our place than get irritated having food there.

Restaurant is called Delhi Highway but the prices are nowhere near a highway dhabha price. We tried the Kadhi and Rice since we were not too hungry. The Kadhi was quite spicy and sour. The taste was not really authentic. The pakodas were hard and lumpy. Not the kind of quality you expect for the price paid. Dessert ordered the Phirni. This too was not up to the mark. It had lumps of rice not really smooth as one would expect. Also Phirni should be served chilled not at room temperature.

Good food except desserts but slow and <br/>indifferent service, worn out menu cards. Do not sit inside the inside cabin as service will be worse there.

Ambience: Comfortable and done with good aesthetic sense. Cutlery compliment the decor.<br/>Advantages: Very tasty and very rich food.<br/>Disadvantages: Very expensive, service delayed when crowded and food is way too greasy.

This is a great choice of you would like to have thaali which costs 650 including tax. Vegetarian place which results heavy on our pockets. Tasted lassi which tastes more over like mousse than lassi( I did not like). Buttermilk was good. Coverage of all the mobile network is extremely poor so guys go only if you can afford to live without your mobile for around one hour of your eating time. I will never go there again.<br/>

I must say that I am a Non veg lover and Delhi Highway is apparently the only pure Veg North Indian restaurant I've visited. I was at first a bit reluctant to have a complete Veg cuisine but Delhi Highway has delightfully proved me wrong. I'm absolutely ready to give up Non Veg if I get this excellent quality of Veg dishes to savour 😄 A 5 star for the food and ambience as well!

It’s a perfect North Indian vegetarian restaurant...panner tikka was a good kick start for the lunch ...main course with palak panner ..malai kofta ...rotis was very good ...the Hyderabad Biyani was spicy and excellent...polite staffs ...perfect place for vegetarian....only thing is they charge GST as well as service tax

Never disappointed on seating and very courteous. <br/><br/>Their Thali menu during weekday is must try. That too I love the Friday menu.
