Review The Right Place - Chennai (Madras)

Overcrowded, long wait for breakfast table. Housekeeping had to be reminded to clean the room. First day I by mistake switched on the do not disturb sign, next day the room wasn't some when I returned at 5 pm. Average service, reasonable rooms.

The ambience was really good and the food tasted exceptional. My only issue was that the place was understaffed, while they were polite, the food arrived a bit late. If you're willing to kick back and have a relaxing high-tea, this is the place to visit!

It is on the left side of the main entrance of the Residency hotel. It is a compact restaurant with few tables and I recommend you to book prior, if you are planning to visit. The hotel had valet parking and we entered the Right place. The ambience was pleasant with dull lights. Service was amicable but it took a long time even for simple things. Podi Idli was amazing along with honey chilli vegetables. Lime juice was bitter but the podi onion uthappam was too large in size and exceeded our expectations. They had a variety of vegetarian and non vegetarian items, pasta and noodles, fried rice to Biriyani. They also serve liquor on order. We had a wonderful time and it ended with tasty coffee.

Nice Hotel to stay at T Nagar. All the shopping nearby. Very good Hospitality.

Last time going to with my family Good ambience, quite for a meeting. Food left a lot to be desired, too much salt and the raita was sour. Maybe other cusines taste better, also chicken recipes awesome.

Located ideally on the busy intersection of G N Chetty road and Dr Nair rd, The Residency offer the locals and visitors to Chennai, an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city with multiple restaurants on premises. I visited the right place for lunch with some of my school mates of 86 batch. The restaurant is small and can seat in total about 30 guests. We were a group of 10 with 5 stand ups and were seated right near the entrance. There's no restrooms inside the restaurant but there's one in the lobby of the hotel. The RR is clean and well maintained though there's only one toilet stall and a few urinals. The restaurant is both vegetarian and non-vegetarian with more options for the latter. However their vegetarian fare is great. We had different soups, starters, main course and desserts. The tomato soup was good though I didn't get a taste of freshness and great flavors of the ingredients. The platter is good though almost every item like cauliflower, veggies kebab roll, paneer tikka tasted a bit saltier, except of course for the button mushrooms. We had to order 4 platters as it was not enough for 10 people. We had bisibelebath, veggie pulao, rumali roti with aloo gobi and everything was good. The BBB was pretty nicely done and we ordered a second helping. We finished it off with some shakes and ice cream and pistachios ice cream is great. We also had a cake to celebrate the January borns in the group. The waiters are exceptionally well behaved, courteous and well mannered though these youngsters could smile more. They put up with all the requests and idiosyncrasies of the motley crowd. The prices seemed reasonable given its location at the 3 star hotel in the center of the city with parking at the hotel.

Food was so delicious with reasonable special Italian food one of my favourite price pont and interior design is so stunning 😋😋 inside view was fabulous and very clean overall good experience...love it

Kozli varutha curry dry was awesome. Right amount of spices and flavour. Their Bisebella bath too was awesome. Would recommend both the dishes.

Excellent location, great staff right from the reception to the house keeping to the Restuarant staff. Very courteous and helpful. The breakfast buffet is too good. The Chinese Restuarant is a must try. Overall a very pleasant stay, since the place is easily accessible from everywhere.

I went to the Chin Chin restaurant in the Residency on Monday (26th December) and had a Fish starter... It was tasting stale at the start and we asked the waiter to replace it. The second dish was without the stale odour but after I consumed it I had severe stomach infection for the whole week. My family did not touch it after the experience of the first and they were saved from the perils... Chin Chin used to be one of my favorite restaurants and I had been a frequent visitor... Recently the quality and taste has deteriorated and to the level of causing serious infections. I will advise all my friends to stay away from it as much as possible....

Your restaurant, the Crown, was unwilling to prepare a vegan meal. They offered a salad. Now I'm missing out on a work meal and not going.

Awesome hotel. Perfect location. Ambience is too good. Services and hospitality is too good. All employees are very polite and friendly. We booked standard room but got upgraded to Suit without any additional charges. We'll definitely book this hotel whenever we visit Chennai in future.

Hotel allows flexi check in and and check out at the same time of check in. Very convenient access to major eateries and shopping belt. Good spread of buffet for morning breakfast. Friendly hotel staff from receptionist to the room attendants.
