Good place with comfortable seating options even for big groups. Buffet menu has a lot of starter, main course and dessert options - both veg and non veg. Somewhat pricey on weekends. Try to visit on Tuesday and Wednesday, that's when they have discounts.

Barbeque Nation Vadapalini is one of the best family restaurant in chennai ... Barbeque varieties of vegetarian and non vegetarian options.. Planned this for our meet up with friends. The ambience, location (very close to Metro) etc is super cool. Pani poori, starters were all good. Service felt like little slow - even with not a full house… Except starters rest are average! Biriyani and other rice items were ok, but the dal sabjis were bit disappointing. Desserts collection was reasonable, loved those moong halwa! Nothing fancy about ice cream, but the kulfi was a great disappointment. Hope they improve soon! The price is bit expensive for these in my opinion.

Ordered veg dum biryani from here and its super tasty and highly recommendable and the additional thing accompanying the biriyani is also great

Had nice experience! Went with friends and family. The ambience is good but quite crowded place. The main course quality should be improved. Desserts are just okayish need to be cooked better. The complimentary cake is dry and jam was applied. The bbq part, the vegetables were just falling, the panner was not marinated properly. refilling of the counter is slow. Starters are extraordinary; tastes great. The main dishes are taken order and brought to the table instead of buffet system. This is due to COVID situation. Because of this, lots of food gets wasted. Desserts and fruits are good. The service guys are very caring and attentive. For an offer price of Rs 699 per head is affordable.

We had a great time with our friends. Food was delicious and quantity was plenty. Our manager was also taking care of all our requests. AC in the main hall wasn't effective. Need to take care of that.

Since I had already created an impression after visiting ABS, this place really falls short in terms of food variety, ambiance and service. The taste was however decent. Looks like an old dilapidated restaurant with no prompt service etc. Needs lot of improvement.

A completely unique dining experience loaded with starters, do not miss their signature dish which is also a part of the buffet package. One of the recommended place to visit on special occasions(birth days, wedding anniversary) do mententuon the Barbeque Nation staff about the special to make it even more special.

Visited this place with my family on my birthday. Starters were ultimate here. Starters you get Grilled fish, chicken, prawn, grilled watermelon , pineapple and gulab jamoon. Loved the smoke flavour, tandoori masala marination everything was perfect. They have varieties of mojito. Must try lovely mojito. It’s too refreshing. They have wide range of buffet spreads including both veg and non veg dishes. We had chicken dum Briyani , chicken fried rice, egg masala, mutton curry, chicken masala and rotis . Main course is average. Need to add more spices in Briyani. Then my favourite part dessert. Hot jamoons with ice cream is my all time favourite. Yummy yummy .. lot of other desserts also there . Never miss to try there paan. Best part is that they arranged for cake cutting , music and dance . Thank u team for making my birthday so special.. Great ambience and quick service. I booked the reservation online almost 20 days before. I received a call this noon wherein I was almost reaching the restaurant. Initially I thought why so much of hype but later realised the importance of the advance booking because within 30 minutes of us reaching the restaurant, it was brimming with patrons who has come from various places. Most of them had come for some special Occassion or the other.<br/><br/>They only offer a Buffet and it is certainly worth the price.<br/><br/>Why?<br/><br/>Firstly, they start with their signature starters. This was followed by grill wherein they bring the grill box to your table and place the bbq of various items like Chicken, Fish, Prawns, Mutton, Paneer, Mushroom & even fruits like Pineapple, Watermelon and Gulab Jamun as well. <br/><br/>The specialty of these starters is they were served Unlimited number of times. Until you put down the flag, they would keep serving you the starters.<br/><br/>This was followed by Mojitos. We ordered Lovely Mojito, Pacific Blue, Blue Mojito, Fresh Lime, Masala Lemon which were waived off from the bill as they were also served as compliment.<br/><br/>Even the bottled water comes free with the package, which is appreciable.<br/><br/>After this, we ordered some Naan which were served on the table. There were live counters which served Chaats like Paani Puri/Bhel Puri & likes, Dosa Counter and dedicated sections for Salads, ice creams, desserts & for Main course - Veg & Non-Veg. Been to this place after a long gap.. probably 2 yrs. I felt like it has lost its charm. The music was loud, in the background of a noisy crowd. The staff attitude was OK but the food served was pathetic. Don't know if it's like this every weekends. None of the dishes were worth mentioning. No one was available to serve at the live counter for street food. Dosa counter was not maintained well, it seemed like a street dosa kada. Biriyani was not looking or tasting fresh, seemed like few days old, thawed from freezer. I cAn understand that they have not raised the prices significantly in last few years, but only quality of food will talk for a restaurant, not the ambience or service. So my suggestion is to look back at these issues and the increasing competetion and change accordingly to restore the standards. Thank u

All starters taste the same. Chicken and fish in started can be identified only with texture . Monotonous taste for over 5-6 dishes. Service was very slow . Size of pieces were very small. Food was cold. Won't recommend. Pls save your money to eat at better places.

This was a wost experience happend to us on my brother's b'day last monday.. very poor service.. i ordered my drinks while having my starters and did not receive it till the end of my dessert even after reminding for multiple times.. then i cancelled it after having my dessert. Same, ordered for for naan.. got it like 25 min later..<br/><br/>Nothing on the main course! Biriyani was finished.. soup was finished..<br/><br/>The starters were very average in taste.. except for very few.<br/><br/>And yeah, Got 2 cokes at the end as complementary. I was here for the ‘Let’s Chilli Fest’ wherein chillies from around the world were brought in, infused in the drinks, starters, grills and desserts. <br/><br/>This was quite an interesting concept to have built and a very challenging one too. My friends and I had mixed feedbacks about the dishes we tried. Some of us liked the chilli flavour in the grills and desserts, but some of us didn’t. <br/><br/>The starters were yummy as usual! I love their signature corn and cajun potatoes. The mutton seekh kebab lacked a little flavour.<br/><br/>From the grills, I loved the prawns the best! The main course also had an array of chilli infused dishes. The desserts could have been way better. I really enjoyed the gulab jamuns, ice cream, kulfi and strawberry pastry. <br/><br/>Being a weekend, there was so much hassle and the service was pretty slow. But, our feedbacks were taken pretty seriously and we were served improvised food immediately. <br/><br/>We also got to watch the team in action- will performing for a chilli themed song! This was kind of entertaining! <br/><br/><br/><br/>

Recently visited this branch for their let's chilli food festival. This fest is all about chillies brought from the various parts of the world and they were used in the regular menu for different dishes. They had spl chilly sauces. Few starters were good. The main course was amazing, loved all their curries they went well with the Indian breads. Their lives counters need a spl mention their chats and desserts were too delicious. Their kulfi varities are the best in town, that too for an buffet. Felt they could have had more starter varieties.

Hygenity is not maintained... Found a cockroach on buffet plates... As well veg food quality is less than average... Pls think twice before goin to this place...

The service was bad. Experience was bad. The food was undercooked, dry, not even warm. AC was not working. Grill was not even hot. The service was very bad. I went for the Barbeque nation's chilli fest. I had a great time here. But didn't find anything interesting about the chilli fest. I loved the starters and the on table grill as usual. The desserts weren't that great though. The prawns and chicken leg were too good. The shot which was served as part of the chilli fest was delicious. A 4/5 considering the chilli fest.

This is totally worth it. What an excellent service for both food and alcohol. The staff were for ever smiling and helpful all the way from the hostess. Communication language could be an issue for some but they make up for it in several ways. I am a regular to this franchise so I wouldn't say the ambience is the best but they can try to rework few spots. However you do eventually get what you paid for. Thanks Team.

We went to barbeque nation Vadapalani on 02.06.2019. A group of 9adults and three children. To my utter surprise I saw a huge rat coming out of the kitchen area. The rat was really huge. I immediately confronted the bar manager. I was really disappointed that after spending 8k, we get such non-hygenic food. The rat must have been living in kitchen for so long.<br/>I am really disappointed in myself that I took the kids to such place. I have planned to report this to the authorities. This is by far the best barbeque outlets in the city. I think the chef here is a chicken specialist; roasted chicken wings, chicken Tikka and all the chicken items in the menu are so good. I'm writing this review long after my visit but I can remember the taste and it's mouthwatering.<br/>The chef here cooks as per our suggestion if we give them one. One really good thing about this outlet is the meat here is fresh. Wings, legs, chest all pieces of the chicken are fresh here. The best place to try the barbeques. So many things to try. This place is good to try. Staff here is professional. The buffet is also tasty and lots to try about. Sweets and various delicacies like icecream, pastries and cocktails.

Today we went for our team dinner 18 ppl, ambience was not that great, ac is not at all working , we all were sweating . I had veg , welcome drink was not given to us ,starters were ok, paneer was hard , service was very slow and delayed, we have to ask them 5 times ,then only they will respond , main course was poor not at all tasty , desserts were good .overall experience is very very bad , need to improve, I love the omr branch and this one is totally waste with the brand name

Horrible, worst, pathetic etc.... very worst experience. I have visited this place many times past years, but visited today quite after some long gap. First there is no AC, only few air coolers and it's hot inside even without the barbeque set up. We were the first batch for dinner, we checked with manager but irresponsible answered since it's hot outside you feel the same, but never replied for the AC. Food was old and the taste was worst and we served only with chicken and prawns. We asked for other varieties they keep on saying give 10 mins but nothing served even after an hour except chicken leg piece. Manager sudeep was worst in attitude and he is not interested to respond us. His intention like this is what we serve eat else go away like that. Horrible experience don't go there and don't waste your hard earn money a well as your health... I can't give negative stars here else my rating will be negative 10

I have never experienced such a bad service from barbeque nation. After 45 minutes, starters were served and that too only tiny portions.Customer experience and satisfaction has become zero . No proper service and no staff to address issues here . High time you guys improve your standard and bring back the original bbq.

Though i am not regular visitor of Barbeque vadapalani, but it is must to write my review to help to others to think twice to go barbeque vadapalani. We went to vadapalani branch on 12th May'19, got the table in time no issue as we booked 12noon slot. Table service was started with bit late don't know the reason why, even the restaurant was filled only 50%. 1) Taste of the starter was not good 2) The quantity of the item in stick was very less 3) Took time nearly 5-10mins for each and every refill, we got an answers for the service boys it is barbecue will take 10-15mins we have to wait.. as it is getting ready 4) The Temperature inside the hall was about 28-29, literally sweating reported 3-4 times no response. 5) Due to cost cutting the service boys are very less, one boy is in-charge for more than 5 table that too on sunday.. 6) In buffet , they kept chicken briyani, display board was showing mutton briyani, 7) Even for some of the food there is no display board.8) there is no variety with starter, the size of the chicken pieces with stick little is 1/4 of the lemon size.9) Gulfi counter, it is long stand area, no one bothers about the crowd stand at the stall, only one person to serve to all the crowd. <br/><br/>Overall the situation is not worth the money they are charging, they are creating a situation we have vacate the tabel as early as possible. It was not like that before. I gone to the restarunt based on my kids request, they imself frastrated and told they wont like and don't want to go again. Used to see the similar experience faced by the family sat next to me .<br/><br/>Think twice before go there.

It was a very hot day in Chennai & they don't have AC, seriously NO AC in such a restaurant, can't even imagine!<br/>It was a terrible experience, couldn't eat comfortably due to the heat. I was sweating terribly. Sometimes they would bring up a cooler/ fan for 10-15 mins & again take that back. By their way of speaking it seems that was a regular problem there.<br/>Food was OK, nothing exceptional.<br/><br/>But yes the staffs (waiters in general who were serving foods) provided a very good service, they were so polite.<br/><br/>I can't think of visiting that place ever again & will never suggest anyone to go their, specially on a summer day.<br/><br/>

Hardly any crowd on a week day. Oly 20% of the tables were occupied. The pit was just warm, recommended to take a hand fan to have more fire :) all starters were dry and bland and was taking ages to get grilled. Recent observation, all these bbq hotels hardly cook d starters, it's more like marinated and allowing to cook in the grill... Fried corn was really yummy.<br/>Main course was just okay.<br/>Service was good, AC wasn't working enough and they had to keep a cooler.<br/>Overall a very average place to hang out.

Nice interior. Worst place to have a BBQ grill. They put the BBQ on table without hot coal. They also provide half cooked sticks for BBQ, rest 50% does not cook well. So yu get your stomach infected. Taste and food quality is below average compared to absolute bbq and coal bbq. I never recomend this restaurant. Food variety is too less.

We visited the Valapalani branch recently for their ‘Jatt Set Go’  Punjabi food festival. This place doesn’t need an introduction. A vibrant decor along with mouth watering dishes is a perfect combination to cheerup someones mood.The entire place was filled with colors and some energetic punjabi tracks. Beautiful lightings and sittiing arrangements. The service and the staffs were very warm.<br/><br/>We started off with some refreshing drinks.<br/><br/>The starters were what i cherished most. Starters were flamed on the serving table itself to keep your food hot. Variety of starters placed on the  grills consists of cuisions of Paneer, prawns, fishes, chickens, mushrooms, pineapples, guavas and some veggies. All the starters were full of flavours, balanced with delectable feel and flavour. The grilled pineapple was really delicious. It tasted amazing.<br/><br/>After amazing starter we tried main course. It had a fair variety of dishes in both veg and nonveg filled with the flavours of north indian foods. Yes not to forget their biryani too. It was equally delicious and flavourful.<br/><br/>They also served pani puri, dahi puri and chats.       <br/><br/>The desserts were really delicious that still lingers in my lips. Specially the moong daal halwa was really good. Lot of variety of desserts.<br/><br/>Overall my experience was so good here. Would definitely recommend.<br/><br/>

Went for my parents anniversary enjoyed the food and they liked the Cajun potato and fried corns.<br/>The food were been up to the mark and each and every dish has uniqueness and tasted good and we ordered our complementary drinks the sholin Apple were damn satisfying in the happiness of eating I forgot to take pictures of the starters and main course jus shoot some pictures of dessert and kulfi damn I love the gulab jamun which are small in size but tastes 10x of size yummy.<br/><br/>And the service person mr.Vikas and team were too friendly and mr.Debashish samanta were been so polite and friendly.

The food quality and taste was great. I had a great time over here. I would recommend people bbq nation if they are trying bbq for the first time. I bet you will like bbq nation

the Table arrangement was nice.  the Staffs were courteous. had a good service. Pradipto Motak attended our table and we all enjoyed his hospitality .  overall, it was a fun time there and we enjoyed both the ambience and the food. Thanks team .

A couple of us friends went here. Its quite near to the Vadapalani metro - 5-10 mins walkable distance.<br/>We were a good crowd-16 people and they accomodated us. The food was classic buffet. I felt they didn't have live counter and dessert options much and also their buffet options seemed limited. They give the complimentary beer/drink here. Their service is excellent. Ambience is cool too.<br/>Would recommend but they really have to improve dessert/live counter with more options.<br/>

Worth the money. Starters are the players here and they are tasty too. Smashed potato was the best. Dessert bar is also an interesting place for all the sweet tooth.

Went there for Dec 31 lunch. Place was not crowded. Ambience was good. Staff was polite. Good appetizers and buffet. However, they took a long time to print the check. That allowed some time to settle the food. There was also a small performance by few employees where they danced to few peppy songs. Will return again.

After around 2-3 years visiting this bbq. Really Unsatisfied. The food were salty, The rest room were in bad condition. for live counters, the incharge was not there, The only good thing was the Service has not fallen to worst.Really frustrated and may be that was last time I visit BBQ. For  the first , iam here to celebrate my 70th  b.day  with my wife and daughter,  iam  very  much impressed  with  the starter.  and other  food items  are  very much  mouth watering.   The   manager  offered  me  a  complimentary B. Day  cake  and  greeted me  along  with their staffs.   i was  very moved by this.  Last  but  the least  the  great hospitality shown  by  Mr. Dinesh  and Mr  Satyaprakash   is  commandable. once again wishIng you all.

Hi All, I have been BBQ Vadapalani, So many times, One of the Good place for a rich barbeque buffet, <br/>And its 100% worth for Money if you are a foodie you will love it, and We went on Christmas holiday, Though the whole restaurant was crowded, The Service was awesome , The way they treat the guests , and Service was really outstanding, I bet we could not  see these much pleased and ever smiling managers in any restaurant, and saying about the Taste of Food I will give 4.0 , Since its not that mouth watering starters except the fried Golden Corn, I'm veggie So I have booked Veg platter, It was good but not outstanding , But I would always prefer BBQ for its Ambiance , Service,

Been here thrice which is very near to my home. It was nice but not like before,we enjoyed the starters as usual. . Parking faced a issue too.

Went there for a family union. Ambeience was good and staffs were ok. But the food was'nt as expected, probably one of the bad day for these guys. But Vadapalani branch needs improvement for sure. Give a try, not a much visit though.

We had a great team lunch . Sudeep and jeevan was extremely good in listening our orders and provided the same in a faster time. The veg section for starters could have been served bit Hot . Rest Everything was perfect..<br/>

My girlfriend took me out to BBQ Nation as a surprise birthday treat. It was my first BBQ experience as well. I turn a monster gobbler when it comes to a good buffet menu, but here was my girl and I had to curtail my unrefined behaviour. As a benefit, I got more of the food experience than the other way.<br/><br/>We went up to the reception, there was nobody. We awkwardly step into the restaurant and receive a annoying stares from the people. After a few minutes pass by the lady in the coat comes and helps us with the reservation.<br/><br/>My partner is really unimpressed with the two side seating facing opposite each other. She wanted a more ambient romantic, we couldn't reach out and hold our hands across the table. We asked for a better place, but it was a Friday weekend.<br/><br/>A guy in coat appeared and set our table. Followed by two waiters. One guy's name was Gulshan. Ask for him the next time you visit. He's a good chap who's a lot responsive. Coming to the food itself, maybe I shouldn't have had my expectations so high. But I did not let myself from having a taste of everything and enjoying it. You can't say I was impressed, it 'felt okay'.<br/><br/>Their chicken line up was spot on, especially the tikka. Prawns could have been a little more cooked. Service could have been a little more attentive. My girlfriend had only half of the strawberry shake she ordered.<br/><br/>But the better part was when three guys came with a cake and began dancing to a clumsy tune wishing me happy birthday. Made me embarrassed and like a kid. Now, that was an experience.

Went there last week and had the most disappointing experience. Have been to this place many times but this time it was horrible.<br/><br/>When a friend asked for mayonnaise", the server said 'Let it get completed first and then we will give'<br/><br/>We didn't even get crispy corn untill we asked which was almost after an hour we went in<br/>On the top there was a small insect in the dessert tray to our shock.<br/>And then we called them and they took away that tray.<br/><br/>Sincerely request to the Restaurant owner to look into this and to be careful at least going forward!<br/>

Hi we went on 29th October on Eve of a special day, thinking of making the day good one, unfortunately the day was not going even better when we ordered for starters, when asked for customised paneer with just no chilli powder/spices we got a one with not even salt on it. Being a vegetarian when asked for Malai paneer we were told will check and get back but the waiters kept us waiting. After expressing our plight to manager incharge and finally they brought after finishing our deserts at last. When asked for any other choice of our starters to customise they did not even reply back if they can serve or not..<br/><br/>Main course: tried biryani and noodles it was very cold and did not taste fresh/lacked flavours..so we stopped and didn't go further.<br/><br/>Deserts: malpuva and jelabi on live counter was excellent. Gulab jamun was again good. Kulfi was average. Brownies were pretty decent.<br/><br/>Overall starters and maincourse were a let down and complete disaster. (My husband did not like the spicy versions as he complained of non veg taste/smell in the same). We eneded up up filling our tummy with deserts.<br/><br/>The waiters and managers tried to be nice after raising our feedback then and there, but they should learn to observe and listen and not keep defending them always not allowing customers to speak. A word of sorry could have made our day better than constantly defending them. Rather than trying to please an unsatisfied customer with extra desert bowls and stuff,please concentrate on quality and taste of the main course and starters. They lacked taste and not even hot .

The first impression is a best impression. Amazing hospitality and service. The huge variety of live barbecue grills and starters. The love for food is relinquished here. Delicious and yummy desserts with 10 different dessert types. Variety of salads and fresh fruits. Spicy chicken briyani and gravy's. Yummy and amazing feast😋 Again went for the second time and was greeted with same hospitality and service. Amazing lunch buffet during weekend 😊

It was the first BBQ buffet spots went to. At first I thought it was very good and well worth the price but after Absolute BBQ and Coal BBQ came I don't think it's worth the money. It's kind of Sad and Annoying that the service and the other factors of your favourite place is really bad day by day. The Barbeque Nation would be the best of all in town but now it's not even up to an average place to satisfy us .<br/><br/>The variety are so less and about the service no one cares to bother us and the things are messy around .It's not only about my last visit to complain about but it's for my last 3 visits recently.Its really sad to know when the restaurant which was best goes down ...<br/><br/>In my last experience the prawns were not cooked properly,the chicken was not good and mutton tasted stale. It took time for the person to bring the grills from the kitchen and no of starters were up to the mark and many more .The only thing which was good ..was the paneer and we booked non-vegetarian and ended up eating paneer.<br/><br/>The variety of desserts are also less which is not an issue if the starters and the main course are good.The Main course was ok and the variety could have been more. Not worth the cost now a days<br/><br/>The best place ... but the quality is down day by day ....make sure you come up gain ..

We had been here, for two weeks ago. And that was 4th time with family. We enjoyed here they (staffs) celebrated my mom's b-day. Entire theme and food was awesome but some minus smash potatoes wasn't up to the taste, Dum briyani was disaster, after tasting we didn't take it again. It was smelled like an rotten. Rest of all was good. Especially egg gravy and gulab jamun was excellent.

Been here several times, the quality of food and service has been going down with every visit. The experience isn't worth that money anymore. <br/><br/>"We're sweating. Can't you increase the ac?" <br/>- "Sir, this is live BBQ, it'll be like that only"<br/><br/>"Why are our drinks getting so much delayed?<br/>-"Sir, another group has placed a large order of cocktails. So the delay" - This attitude sucks. If you can't handle multiple groups parallely, don't accept them in. <br/><br/>Bbq Refills were also taking forever. & more such poor experiences. <br/><br/>The latest visit was with a group of 13 ppl for a colleagues birthday. The bill was around 15K and absolutely not worth the experience.

Been here several times , day by day it's getting worst . Barbeque is known for it service , but during my last visit it was worst , no one was there to serve . Barbeques best is there crispy corn , but they said we don't have stock . Smashed potato was a tragedy 😡<br/>Coming to main course , buffet spread was really good with lots of varieties . But they didn't tend to refill them , they said it's over just like that .<br/>Main reason to give 2 stars is their restroom , this is not the first time , for the nth time I'm mentioning about this , restroom smells very worst . That is no one can enter inside , it smelled really bad .

We went with 13 people for a friday afternoon buffet.. All food was horrible and tasteless. I have been vadapalani branch many times but my experience was so bad in last two times. I wont post a negative review mostly. But this time it needs to be done.. Starters was not cookes properly prawn so cold and fish was so hard and had horrible taste most of the people had to skip the prawn and fish. Barbeque nation needs to work on the quality of food otherwise you wont survive.. I have also booked the buffet for sunday.. But had to cancel it .. Chosen Sigree global grill got better service and quality of food is very good. So much vareity to Choose in main course. People dont waste time in Visiting the Vadapalani Branch . Horrible food #Nomore Barbeque Nation..

Went with a group of 10 , Food and service was good. But the overall experience was a big let down. The air-conditioning was not functioning and all of us had a tough time , we requested them to fix but to no luck.

Delicious buffet and very good service. All the starters served were extra ordinary. The table in charge person Pradeep was very friendly. He also got us a yummy special occasion dessert. Overall had a great time here.
