Review Dindigul Thalappakatti - Chennai (Madras)

One of the best Mutton Biryanis I have ever had!! Went here for lunch along with colleagues. We ordered Mutton Sukha and Mutton Biryani. Not being a very big fan of Mutton, I was not really looking forward to it. But the Mutton Sukha went way above my expectations and I ended up ordering one more. This was followed by Mutton Biryani which was equally good too. The mutton was just perfectly cooked. We also ordered a Dindi Soda which was a jeera based drink..I did not really enjoy it and felt a simple Fresh Lime would have been better. The staff was really helpful and very modest. Parking might be an issue as this place is adjacent to the busy road.

Placed on the main Streets of Guindy. The place has decent sitting for 40-50 PPL on the top floor. Place has ample space for 2,4 wheeler. We had Mutton Biriyani,Pallipalayam Chicken,Morru Morru Chicken and 65 Biriyani for lunch. Food offered was delicious and service was timely. Would recommend family/Friends for a good meal out here. I will never get tired of visiting here.... Though i didn't like the biriyani here that much, it like all other dishes here.... Costly place.... But you will get a very good taste in return.... In the end taste and quality is all we need. My kind request will be to add less ghee in the biriyani because many people don't like ghee. It's overpowering the biryani hope it'll be changed. Starters are always excellent gere and again the quantity is very low comparing to the price. No matter how many reviews are given, nothing is gonna change.

It was very good the temperature is good and the rest are just a little bit of a regular polygon having 10 sides of the area of my life is short and sweet and sour cream and sugar until next Friday and Saturday night al i was saying it was goood and i highly recommend it

The biriyani was good. It was tasted different when compare to other restaurants. There was a huge space for the parking area. Service was good but can be improved. Waiting time for the order was high. Overall it was a good experience and good place for dining. They also have their delivery service. The fish polichathu was too costly but not up to the mark. The price was bit high and also the quantity was also less.

The biryani at this shop is exceptional! Kithiyyons provided impeccable service. His friendly demeanor and attention to detail enhanced our dining experience. They've a fat menu but only have biryani to serve and incidentally the service is painstakingly slow.<br/><br/>The biryani only had rice and three fried pieces of chicken along with capsicum. I had to shell out 282 bucks.<br/><br/>Very disappointed :(

Worst service I never seen. I went at 1.45 but most for starter what we preferred with help menu it's not there. Service even you ordered food delivery is very late. We did long wait to get the food for briyani also. We have to ask every thing like spoon, folk. In reception they mentioned today special item but person told its old one not there. We finish our lunch and started at 3.45

Went for dinner with family , quite disappointed with food quality .... I had order hot and sour veg soup and tandoori chicken then we were looking the menu for dinner mean while we recieved soup and chicken both not in authentic taste , soup was so tangi and bitter taste less salt we skip the soup then next surprise was Waiting for us you know what we order tandoori chicken but what we recieved is grilled or BBQ chicken I asked the order taker about the chicken i was told that is tandoori chicken only what we had was not tandoori chicken and I have told him that is not tandoori marination eventhoug he was trying to make me accept it totally we disappointed the food quality then we left the restaurant without having dinner ....<br/><br/>

Visited here couple of days back for lunch with my friends. Ordered attukal soup to start with. Ordered black pepper chicken and mutton biriyani for the main course. Restaurant was decently crowded for the weekday and food arrived after 15 minutes. Soup was good. Pepper chicken was tasty. Biriyani was spicy and mutton wasn't as tender and soft as I expected. However, I couldn't enjoy the food or the moment as the AC hall was literally fuming hot. I felt like sitting in the oven. Informed the supervisor twice but nothing positive. Eventhough the food was ok, customer service was very poor. Disappointed with the service. 👎

Thalapakkatti was once famous for its unique seeraga samba rice. But not sure why, the best Biryani of dhindugul is losing its fame and taste.<br/><br/>Few years back, only for their special gravy which comes with Biryani, I used to buy it frequently.<br/><br/>But all my recent orders were disasters. Until Feb, I bought 3 times biryani and dragon chicken. Whomsoever eat it got stomach infection for 2 days. But on March, the taste was better but not consistent.<br/><br/>Also, when we buy mutton Biryani on zomato they give raita and gravy. But when ordered on swiggy, they didn't gave any.<br/><br/>Pls improve the taste and quality in Par with the price charged.<br/><br/>Taste is not consistent nowadays and becoming too spicy.<br/><br/>The frequency we visit reduced. But still be on our palette until it is becoming too worse.

It is a good change from the usual biriyani but not something i would go regularly to eat. Chicken was cooked and portions are small. The lemon mint juice is awesome and a must try. The salad/raita was too dry and mostly onions. Gravy given with the biriyani had good flavor.

Visited this place when I was on an official trip to Chennai. As I was travelling alone could not try much of variety. I had their famous special mutton biryani which was excellent and their attukal soup. While the biryani was pretty tasty with the side gravy with succulent pieces of mutton which was done to perfection, the soup did not impress me much. The service was good and the ambience decent.
