It is a bakery chain with outlets across chennai. This outlet is located on ttk road. You can buy pastries, cakes, croissant and other savoury items from the place. The rates are reasonable. I had the choco truffle cake which is their best seller. I found it to be good but not the best I have had. Service is good in general here and UPI payments are possible.

Good taste and quality and fresh as always. And customer friendly staff. But compared to FB or Parfait the cost is higher. 1 kg here costs 1400; at Parfait it is only 850.

The savouries was really soft and there cakes have all new varieties. Brand new blue colour have been introduced and they have become more customer friendly by letting the customer to pick most of there products. Overall a satisfied experience.

Nice lovely place with a wide variety of pastries, cakes and snacks. Mostly we order cakes for birthdays and events in family from here. Cakes are always fresh and really tasty. Pastries in evening start to run out and later you go the available variety is lesser. The place is expensive but the grub is hygienic, safe and very tasty. There is little place to sit and eat in case you want to!

Bread and cake shop. Situated on a busy two way road. The shop is visible from the vehicles on the road. There is no parking space in their premises. Vehicles have to be parked on the road shoulder only. The quality of the cakes and bread are good. This is a franchise shop, and the products are produced centrally and brought here.

A posh place to order cakes and snacks. The y offer variety of cakes. Eggless cakes are also available. They offer same day delivery. All snacks are freshly baked and are very tasty. As the saying goes, cost goes with quality, the stuffs here are quite expensive when compared to other popular places.

Harrington road and Manickeshwari road branches of French loaf, never disappoint. Right from the service to the fresh food, they are awesome. Especially their "to die for" croissants. With the same anticipation I walked in to Alwarpet branch yesterday. Alas, what a letdown. Stale croissant which had rubbery layers and a sad Vegetable puff that was way too oily was what was served to me. I believe it is a centralized kitchen, if it is, then why the quality difference? If not, Alwarpet branch needs to do way better.

This is a lovely place with both desserts and savoury stuff...friendly staff. ..prices are quite ok.Brownies are good. ..Danish pastry was not great. ..overall just a basic place for desserts.

To start with its a tiny space of this french loaf outlet cramped in corner along side a Pan Asian Restaurant. Here it's I just ordered 2 items from their display as u can see in the pics below. There is one small table in the corner where u can only stand eat otherwise there is no convenient place to either sit or stand n eat. So it's outlet better for takeaway other than stand n eat. Otherwise both the lava cupcake n Bun r just fine a little bit satisfaction.

bought the choc lava cup cake. very small size, the choc fantasy pastry is so thin, looks like half a pastry size. the base of the choc pastry did not have a paper plate or something between it and the box so the base of the box is wet.

French Loaf was my best friend's fav place to have some quick food here. I find the Combo and Cafe mocha good over here. And the pastries are yummy at a very reasonable price.

Went to this place to fulfill my cravings for some pastries. Very good place for a decent variety of pastries. One has to stand here as this outlet has no seating facility and also it takes some time for getting the orders. The pastries were good and equally priced as some other famous baker joints. The cheesecake was upto the mark. If anyone is in a mind to take away some pastries on the way back home, this place could be a good option.

The whole world is charging revised gat , and yet here i am charged 18% on coffee and other beverages. This is straight loot. Need a resolution and refund of my money , I am contactable at 9811896932

Wow the pastries here are awesome! 👏🏿
We went there after lunch to fulfill our sweet cravings. Pretty decent place. Not spacious. Had to stand for a long time. The service is not quite good. He took a lot of time to get to our orders. But the pastries are just wow. But We had that "little bird" which is too sugary. Could be better.

After a yummy dinner we headed here to satisfy our craving for sweet tooth.

We simply settled in to have a Wow Pastry Rainbow Cake, Plain au Chocolate croissant and Chocolate flake cake.

My friend enjoy the Rainbow Cake, no comments on that. The chocolate flake cake was my order, and I kind of felt that it was a bit dry and hard, wasn't fresh enough as I expected it to be. The chocolate croissant was heated in the microwave and was served hot, it was good with the hot melted chocolate inside.
It costed us INR 230, pretty decent.
Commendable service.
Always the good go to bakery in Chennai. This one comes with the works, London Diary ice cream, cakes for the occasions, and everything else to make a good munchie when you need one.

Limited parking space. Eggless cake is available. Taste of the cake have gone down. Ambience is normal . Staff are very rude and unfriendly. Service is very poor. Avoid if you can. Major revamp required. Expensive and not value for money. Hot breads and calkwalk are way better.

Short review;

French loaf being one of the top outlets in bakery throughout Chennai, this particular outlet of them wasn’t very satisfactory. They need to know how to handle customers. Mostly it was the school days when I was visiting them. He should learn to how to treat the customer. But later when I visited after long time that guy wasn’t there. Anyways I have always loved their cakes and pastries.

Their cakes are always great. But depends upon what flavor you order. And this outlet didn’t have ready made one much aviabale like the other outlets. So that’s a drawback. Looking from the outside this place looks very great, especially in the night with all the lights on it looks great. The French window style and the green color just gives a dark feel out and the light glows in this makes it looks very nice.

Each place is revisited by the memories we create there. Mine was just not great.

My rating would be 3/5.

My first time, so I tried an assortment of things, namely the paneer roll, garden veg puff, a chocolate doughnut and a chocolate flakes pastry. The chocolate items were great, while the rolls and puffs were normal.

Prices are reasonable. The place is small and is suitable only for takeaway. Service is prompt and friendly.

Very reckless and rude staff. A young boy packed our bday cake for us and wrote very shabbily on the cake. When we complained he said "the pipe is not good , so thats all you will get " . When we complained.. we got angry stares at us and he was more bothered on messaging and playing on his android phone rather than trying to answer us... No proper candles also for the cake. Very disappointing as it spoilt our big day. Will never ever visit this place again.

The French Loaf, TTK Road has always been the ON The Way place and has hardly disappointed us. We have bought pastries, cakes for important occasions, savouries, breads as well as cookies and all have been good. We love the small cake that they introduced a year back, lovely designs and very economical for small occasions. The savouries are always fresh and good.
The customised cakes cakes have at times given heartaches and headaches, but still worth it.

Ordered another cake from French Load, my favourite here time and again has been the mini cakes. It came for about Rs 820/-. A blueberry Fresh Cream cake, very yummy and creamy and soft.

Taste : 2.5/5 ; Ambiance : 2/5 ; Service : 3/5 ; VFM : 2/5

Located in Alwarpet...i visited this outlet to have some pastries while i was waiting for my friends for a meetup at teppan restaurant located just next door...had a worst ever experience ever at any french loaf...

Location : On the TTK road...a couple of 100 metres from the crowne plaza..on the same side...its also located next to restaurants like teppan and benjarong....Brightly lit...easy to find....

Parking : Shares a common parking with the other 2 restaurants which is not sufficient in my opinion...On a busy day u definitely ought to face some issues...

Ambiance : In zomato its highlighted as it has dine in available...either i missed it..or it was not available...not a place to seat even a single person...this can be termed as a takeaway place...the place though is clean and well maintained...counter are well placed..but if u want to have a pastry here...then you have to rely only on your legs....Interiors are typical french loaf interiors...nothing great here...

Service : Were polite and courteous....

Taste : I ordered a cheese cake priced at 100rs..Was it really worth it.??definitely not....though it tasted good...it was bit on the harder side...not frozen kind of hard...the hardness that comes when a bakery product gets old...so i would assume the item presented to me was not fresh....

Value for money : Its a well known fact that french loaf serves some high end cakes and pastries....even after that..no place to sit inside the outlet is a major drawback this place faces...and serving a not so fresh cake is another big problem for me...Had a definite bad experience at this outlet....would like to blame the servers here...

Very good place, nice coffee and sandwich.
Always find good ambience and not crowded as well... Visited quite a few in the town and all were good.

The French loaf is the premium version of hot breads. You are paying nearly twice as much for the same baked goods and pastries.Other than this they do make some yummy stuff. I suggest their croissants and muffins.

It was a phethatic experience in French loaf. I thought in French loaf have a good quality cake, but my guess is wrong. It was a phethatic quality also. Actually we ordered 1 kg blueberry cake fr Bday party, we got a cake at yesterday evening. Party starts at midnight . After 12.30 fungus started in the cake. Guy's dont try the cakes in French loaf.

Another take out review for this past weekend. French loaf is a standard when it comes to good bakeries in Chennai. It doesn't get much better than this in this part of the country.

Got some amazing muffins and garlic bread. The muffins were absolutely yummy and soft like marshmallow. Devoured them in a jiffy. The blueberry hidden inside the core was superb. Loved the muffins. The garlic bread (?) on the other hand was average. Could have been better. However, overall the taste of muffins soothed everything over.

Overall:

Food: 7/10
Ambiance: NA
Accessibility: 8/10
Service: 7/10
Overall Experience: 7/10
Would I recommend: Yup.

Went to french loaf looking for dessert after a disappointing meal..had a
Caramelised apple mousse- tasted pretty good a bit to sweet for my taste... It had whipped cream with spiced apple pieces covered with a sweet caramel sauce.. Converting the sauce to a salted caramel would probably make it better..

Red velvet finger-such poor quality...the fact that they charge 85 bucks for a piece of dry cake with a bit of cream is just outrageous

When this outlet opened up a few years ago, I walked in one day to sample the fare. I was expecting a fine patisserie with exquisite cakes, pastries and desserts.

I was disappointed when I saw that it was a poor imitation and the offering was not very much different from Hot Breads, and as a matter of fact I found that the pastries at Hot Breads were much superior to French Loaf.

A strange discrepancy since they are both managed by the same chain, and French Loaf is supposed to be the up scale Patisserie whereas Hot Breads is positioned as a Bakery.

I also found their breads overpriced and not necessarily better in quality when compared to Hot Breads.

Yesterday I had the opportunity after several years to enter this outlet. I took away some Butter Croissants, Cake pops, cheese cake, and a baguette. While I have no complaints about the quality, the price is dear, and I still feel that Hot Breads is better value for money.

Extremely Disappointed!!!!

Being a regular customer and happy with their cakes, I ordered a photo cake from TTK road French loaf for my daughter's birthday. She wanted a dora and diego themed cake so I placed an order for a 1.5kg blueberry cake and sent a photo by email, to be printed on the cake.

Few hours before the party, when I had been to the store to collect the cake, I was made to wait for a very long time without any explanation. On becoming restless, one staff brings an ugly, soggy cake with the photo print smudged out and the cake totally ruined from some water logging in the freezer. I was shocked to learn that all other cakes were fine except for this one which they did not bother to check on. Some high pitched exchanges later, I walked out with a pre-made 1kg cake from the freezer to save the day, which I later realized was not fresh at all.

A 3 year old was disappointed to see that her B day cake had none of her favorite characters and I was frustrated with the callous attitude of the staff at French loaf. I am never going back to French loaf and would advise everyone to do the same and save yourself from a bitter experience.

If Zomato allowed a negative rating, I might have been tempted to click that!!!!

Decent prices and good quality. I saw the employees working with rubber gloves on, and that made me happy as that is unusual in Chennai :)

Not upto the Mark. It's just food for hunger. No joy.

The French Loaf, is very popular with their fresh bakes in Chennai.

Their outlets, spread across Chennai, offers great Fresh cream cakes, pastries tea breads. They also have few veg and non-veg savories. Black forest, Chocolate Fantacy and Pineappale cakes are simply great. Tried the brownies, chocolate mousse, tiramisu - good enough. Muffins, specially the blueberry one , is lovely.

Only disappointment, they don't do any home delivery. You need to collect your cake, if you order one for a birthday party or an event.

This is regarding the French loaf at TTK road alone.

They have stocked food items. Go for pastries or bread.

Never try snack items like puffs, rolls, calzones, croissant or any kind of savories. I bought a chicken supreme and i realised that it was made two days back.
They heated it in microwave and gave it to me.

Birthday cakes are good (costly but worth it).
