The best buffet restaurant ever. Too crowded but worth waiting. The food was awesome. They have too much variety in starters, main course and desserts. Everything they served was fresh. Specially the rice items were too good. The staff was well mannered and polite. Worth every penny. Will highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Very delicious food is served in this restaurant. The Aroma and the flavour of the food is perfect and each and every dood I have tasted is really good clean and excellent to taste. The staff are very friendly and serve you with a smiling face. The food is worth the money and I also like the ambiance of the restaurant which is ideal for night dinner.

I really loved the food here. I regret not going to this place sooner. During my visit, I had the Big nachos since it was marked as their must try and it was indeed very good. Then, I had the Mexican Rice and it came along with red pepper chili sauce and grilled cottage cheese. This was good too. Though it was marked as Mexican, it still had an Indian flavor to it. My friend had the unlimited North Indian Thaali and it looked very appealing with so many dishes. Their service was quick and good. Pricing is moderate. I'll definitely keep visiting this place to try their other dishes.

Our sudden dinner plan took us to this hotel. The wanted to go for Al cart but the buffet offer seems to be attractive with two varieties of soup and 3 starters, chat items, 3 subji, Roti, Nan, Dosa, Biriyani and three varieties of rice with fried rice and plain rice with sambar and rasam. Finally the dessert with ice cream all these for 500+ TAX. The ambience was very good. The staff can't able to handle the peak crowd as the starters are served in the table. Need to wait for Veg fries more than 15 mins. The spread was decent. The taste of North indian subji like Panner, veg kadai etc was fabulous. Over all worth for your money. If you decide to go to this place for dinner better be there before 7.30 even though you have a booking. We saw lot of people waiting outside for more than 40 mins even thought they booked the seats. Parking won't be an issue. Finally there is one item that you should not miss that pan shots. It helps in digestion.

Best place for vegetarian. Wide range of varieties are available. Live pasta and dosa counters are the highlights. Unlimited starters and desserts. Everything is unlimited for that matter. Even chat items are included in the menu. The taste is really good. And one can get all these for 599 only.

If you’re a vegan/love Jain food, then this place is definitely for you. They have dine in and buffet options for their customers. The ambience looks cool and lights up the mood for a perfect dinner.

Loved the ambience and the food although the service was a bit slow. We had papads of India where you get 5 kinds of papad, like khichiya, sabudana, amritsari, fried and with dips like sing chutney,cheese, Chinese cabbage. In soups we ordered the moroccon tikha soup which was nice and spicy. We also had the khate aloo til wale, this was just okay. The pani Puri had a cute presentation and tasted good too. We also had the classic fondue which is served with croutons and wedges, it was a good fondue although I have had better fondue. All in all one of the best places I visited in Chennai, it also serves Jain food.

A very good Veg Restaurant in Nungambakkam area of Chennai. Good ambience and great food. Rates are very reasonable for Buffet. On weekdays Buffet dinner is Rs.549/-. Good variety of starters, main course and dessert. Staff is very courteous. Cutlery is also very stylush. If you are vegetarian, you will enjoy the food here. It is better to reserve the table before you go. Usually crowded esp on weekends. Apart from Buffet, they have good options for ala carte also.

Really good food. Presentation of the food is also brilliant. Staff were really courteous. It's crowded at times .Watch out for the pan shot at the end.

The Below picture is of Golgappe (6pcs) priced around ₹95/- is of good quality and taste ok. However the glass of juice you see is of Chandan Sharbat - juice made of saffron+sandal+Lemon+ other flavors is very refreshing. *Must try* They serve jain varieties of curries and good options of Indian Bread(roti, nan,kulcha,etc) They also have buffet (all you can eat) which accounts to close 25-30 items and is priced around ₹640+GST. it goes without saying that the pan shot served at the end of your meal is complimentary and leaves the mark of paan all through your course of digestion. Could add more varieties of Indian curries and curd rice could have had more ingredients making it rich and worthwhile for the price. Most curd rice served will have cashews/pomogrenate or tadka filling which was missing. All in all a good place for people who are looking for Vegetarian and jain food.

Charges are high but the good of jalpaan cannot be compared. Variety of items are available and the Jain option is also very tasty. Unlimited option can also be tried.

Buffet at 550/- but can’t find any place in Chennai where every dish is simply awesome. Skip breakfast if visiting here. It’s not like the usual restaurants where they prepare in masses and miss the unique taste. Book in advance. It gets crowded though.

The buffet zone and the dining zones are a little disconnected and at times it feels uncomfortable to be taking your food in hand and walking over a distance with others watching you. If the management isolates buffet dining and fine dining then it would be of really high standards

If you are a vegetarian food lover this is the place to visit. Especiay gambaza pasta and cheese mushroom pops are a must haves. The service by staffs are just awesome. We have been there twice and the staff Mr. Sadham Hussain was very friendly and telling us about the menus and the tastes. The ambience is amazing with light music makes you feel calm and the tasty food makes your day.

Excellent service by Hussain and Biswajit. The food was excellent. Tried cheese Mushroom Pops, Crispy Paneer thread. The service was quick and neatly presented.

I went to this place a year back for the alacarte. It was good then, now the place shows a variety of dishes they will serve for the buffet price of 630₹, but majority of them wont be refilled or wont be there only. Nothing was as expected. Very disappointed with the place.

Jalpaan is a must visit restaurant for vegetarians. Excellent buffet with a lot of varieties. Desserts can be improved. Starters are either paneer or potatoes. Apart from that Mr. Atik Khan gave us a very good eating experience with his courteous service.

We went to jalpaan 2 weeks ago. The ambience of this place is awesome. Everything that we ordered was more than the expectations.<br/><br/>In starters we ordered bhutta cigar and cheese vegatable disc. Both were made with a new concept.<br/><br/>In main course we had panner tikka lababdar and roti ki tokri which included one piece of all kinds of special roti.<br/><br/>We were lastly served by paan shot that was ultimate.<br/>Even the finger bowls were served in a different way.<br/><br/>From presentation to serving each and everything is excellently taken care by the Jalpaan team.<br/><br/>We people throughly enjoyed. Looking forward to visit this place again.😄

Had a wonderful time in Jalpaan. Mr.Atik khan service was very courteous and professional in his service. The buffet spread was great with different varieties to choose from, the ending desert was icing on the cake. Only downside was South Indian rice & sambar but since it's a north Indian restaurant, we can choose to ignore it. Must visit with your friends and family for the exquisite dining experience.

We entered the restaurant at 10 for buffet <br/>At that time the staffs didn’t inform anything <br/>At 10:15 they are telling that main course is closing <br/>By the time we didn’t even finish the soups.<br/>So staffers insisted us to take mains courses <br/>While we r trying out some dishes <br/>They removed the main course <br/>We didn’t even complete our meal<br/>And for the desserts now<br/>A guy came in and left the ice cream on the table while we r having the main course <br/>I asked him to keep it in counter so we can finish the food <br/>He told fridge there’s no fridge in restaurant <br/>So left the ice cream on table and left <br/>One of most horrible service I have ever face in a restaurant.

Jalpaan is one of my favorite restaurants. I have been to all the three outlets here in Chennai. I have been to the Nungabakkam outlet 5 times and the Adyar outlet thrice and the Saligramam outlet twice.<br/>The food here is just perfect. I liked the Nungabakkam outlet's ambiance more than the other two.  The service is great everywhere. <br/><br/>So far, I have tried the cheesy vegetable disk,  bhatti ka paneer, sarsowala paneer, bhutta cigar, tilli baby corn, subz awadhi, baoli handi, paneer tikka lababadar, barvan aloo,  paneer mattar sarson da saag, garlic naan,  potli biriyani, handi teheri, jeera rice, rice noodle biriyani, mexican rice, pesto pasta, gambaza pasta, and some more dishes from the old menu. The potli biriyani and the sizzler biriyani is my favourite of all.  All of them tasted perfect. The mexican rice was too cheesy and buttery, so some might find it heavy but I enjoyed it a lot. The only item that I didn't like was the pesto pasta. And the rice noodle biriyani was little bland but that may be due to the fact that the dish is designed specially for kids. I also have tried their buffet in the adyar outlet twice which also was yummy and perfect.

Food was good...service by Atik Khan was awesome and friendly.. Entrance could have ben better. I had walk 5hrough smelly garbage and dirty roads.

Vegetables stuffed paratha was pathetic with spoiled taste and odour. The White sauce served with the Fondue was very less.

Visited Jalpaan with my friends for lunch. We ordered Tandoori Momos and Mushroom Duplex for starters.Momo's were huge and the filling was good.<br/>Mushroom Duplex - Cheesy juicy mushroom buttons is how I would describe this dish, but it was little bland for my palate.So definitely not my favorite.<br/><br/>For main course, We ordered Masala kulcha, roti, Barvan Aloo (Side dish) and Potli Briyani.<br/>Potli Briyani was below average and was too oily.Barvan aloo was delicious, one of the few green dishes that I have loved.<br/><br/>Costed us 1740rs.<br/><br/>Pros: Courteous staff and good ambience.<br/>Cons: Place was bit crowded,could be because we dined in on saturday.Also,The pricing is above average.<br/><br/>Overall - 3.5/5.
