This restaurant is not only a place to hog on Arabic food, but it also serves a tasty meal for tastebuds that linger with chinese food.
I had ordered a falafel salad, a dragon chicken, butter naan, chettinad chicken, Chicken biriyani and bbq fish.
The bbq fish was just tooooo good !
If you are in the mood for some amazing bbq, Zaitoon is the right choice !
The food is excellent no doubt. But compared to the cost the food portion is very less...

Been there for multiple times, zaitoon never failed me in barbecue and alfaham chicken. It tastes divine, ordered schezwan chicken fried rice which was not up to the mark. Finally moved to dessert where i ordered sizzling brownie which was mouth watering. Price is quite reasonable so see you soon :)

Zaitoon is one of my favourite restaurant. I am big fan of their grilled chicken and their arabian dishes. You can try out any dish from menu blindly because everything is good đ. Especially their service was quick and prompt. Ambience was quite simple. I would surely say that you will definitely love thier food because of their taste

Introduction -Zaitoon multi cuisine is famous chain of restaurants with multiple hotels in each city of Tamil Nadu.
The menu is south Indian, Chinese, Continental, Arabic and Mughlai.
Ambience -It's a high end place with tastefully posh ambience and servers. Who can speak English, Tamil and Hindi thankfully.
The food -
Soups
1)Mutton Nalli soup - it was a mutton clwae soup just the right amount of spice and salt and one mutton bone with a lot of tender meat attached delicuous.
2) Zaitoon special soup was a basically a hot and sour chicken soup with a hint of tanginess and fried noodles added to it yummy nevertheless.
Starters - Boneless Barbeque Fish - was pounded boneless Bombay duck fried into a steak served with mayo and pita bread yum yum.
Honey Dejaj Kebab -
This Arabic dish consisted of bland and salty chicken seekh kebabs drizzled with Honey and served with mayonnaise, hummus, spicy Mayonnaise and pita bread once again super delicious.
Main course - Main course
Kheema Hyderabadi - Perfectly spiced black kheema well cooked but the mince had big chunks and was not finely grounded except for this small hitch which some may not like the kheema was lovely and mouth wateringly delicious.
Prawns Dum Biryani one of the finest grains of basmati rice in three colours with red masala and medium sized prawns was both aromatic and tasty.
Rotis
1)Malabar Paratha was buttery and crispy
2)Butter Naan was soft and buttery.
3) Pita Bread was soft and tasteless as it should be.
Extras 2 fresh lime sodas 2 bottles of bisleri and one bottle of 500 ml 7up
The total expenditure for this lovely meal was just Rs. 2100/- inclusive of all taxes and charges.
Which I believe was a very value for money deal.
My Verdict :-
If in Tamil Nadu you must try a Zaitoon Restaurant for the great ambience courteous staff and delicious food for a value for money price.

It was very crowded .. we waited and got a table.
The wait was worth it. They serve very yum food- you will never regret the choice of this hotel.

Excellent restaurant. The restaurant was really nice and well decorated. Purity is very important to me in India. The dishes were very tasty. The appetizer arrived quickly and was good. The main dishes were completely beyond expectations and great. I recommend a restaurant for everyone.

Dropped in their Adyar branch today, and ordered our al time favourite. Pepper Barbeque Chicken. Same taste, everytime!
Tried the Baklava today (forgot to take a pic) which was slightly disappointing, if you've had good quality Baklava earlier.
Had their Hawaiian Salad , which tasted more like dessert than a salad.
None the less, Zaitoon continues to remain our favourite, for the Pepper Barbeque Chicken, the Veg and Chicken Shwarmas and the excellent service everytime.
Chicken was juicy and left me wanting for more and ordered next day also:-)
Good place. Great good. Their Zaitoon special BBQ is to die for. Also try their Tawa fish. No complaints on food. Their service can be improved though. Good place for office team lunch. Not much options for deserts.
Zaitoon never disappoints! Visited this outlet few months ago with my wife, still I could remember the taste of chicken starter and biryani I had! Coming to the ambience, place was crowded since it was weekend. But you will forget the people and noise around when you start eating the food they serve. We ordered Al Faham Dejaj, Mutton Keema Hyderabadi, Butter Naan and Mutton Dum Biryani. Every item exceeded our expectations in terms of quality, quantity and taste. Chicken was juicy, Mutton was so soft and well cooked. Even the sides for biryani and mayonnaise for chicken was amazing! Kudos to the Chef and Zaitoon Team! Keep it up!!!
From my experience dining at numerous restaurants, it's fair to say "You can definitely trust a place when their mayonnaise is prepared correct."Â
Service was fast and good. Staffs were courteous. Price looks little high, but I guess you can pay for the excellent food they prepare. Will visit again surely when I get a chance.

Mutton Raan and Alfaham Dhajaj are Mouth-Watering dishes. Spices with sourness taste is magnificent.
Chicken is tender and amount of food portion is exorbitant.
Khuboos is very fluffy and soft.
Mutton is really good but it has the smell of FAT a bit which can be cooked really well.
Overall, Adyar branch is the best among all the branches.
Had Chicken Shwarma Roll and Royal Falooda. Both tasted Heavenly and Awesome. Reasonably priced and good Service. A nice place to dine out with Family and friends.

We love their Bbq and grills which why we keep frequenting the place...
We popped in one afternoon, on a weekday to have lunch after shopping....
The place was fairly packed though it was a weekday... On weekends you will have to wait to get get seated...
We were seated quickly...
We placed our order for 4 in 1 Bbq Combo which is a combo of a quarter piece of Al-Faham, Bbq Chicken, Pepper Bbq and their special Bbq Chicken and also a Kozi Laham which is supposed to be an Arabian rice...
The food arrived hot... The rice dish came first... It came with a mint and tomato chutney and onion masala on the side.. The actual rice was fragrant basmati rice topped with thin slivered slices of meat in a peppery masala...
It defines wasnât authentic Arabic but it tasted alright...
Coming to the BBQ platter... this is what Zaitoon does best.. Their meats are charcoaled to perfection... The char on the grilled meat and marination is just perfect... The chicken was tender with the right char grilled crust...
The hummous was average and so was their garlic sauce...
Will go back for their BBQ dishes again...

Kerala paratha--Crispy and soft with a slight sweetness to it.(5/5)
Egg masala - Good gravy with a slightly garlicky flavour.(4/5)
Mexican shawarma plate- One of the best shawarma I have had in Chennai(5/5)
Kozi lamak- The rice was simply awesome with a rich flavour to it, but the fish in it lacked the punch/flavour.(4/5)
Veg kadai- Okayish. Too much beans in it.

The food was very authentic and exceeded our expectations even to the minute details. If you're looking for an authentic Arabian experience, this is the place to come. (They also serve Indian but we tried the Arabian dishes). Service was really good. Nothing to complain about here. Loved the experience!

Came here for a business meeting, my belly search engine ended up to one of my favorite restaurant in Qatar, ZAITOON!!
Tasted their Qatar branch and itâs on my hit list whenever i am in Doha!
Seems this is the first branch when they started on 2009, so itâs almost 10 years Zaitoon made their on name not only in Chennai also Banglore & Qatar.
I ordered Biryani and Tandoori rotti with Chicken Xacuti and two type of BBQs.
Highlight dish:Zaitoon special BBQ (boneless) I never tasted a bbq like this, really mouth watering when am writing this
Biryani : nice
Chicken Xacuti: yummy but rotti was hard
Finished with sizzling brownie with hot chocolateđ
Special request to management: pls serve the same Zaitoon sp bbq in Doha too bcs I am flying to Doha tomorrow.

This is my first time to zaitoon this branch has valet parking and dining is on underground . The food was delicious thier signature dish in prawn was really awesome. Tandoori chicken and paneer tikka was bit spicy and lychee cream was too yummy đ over all experience was good
I order/eat in Zaitoon quite often. They deliver great food with a decent dining experience. Price is nominal when compared to the quality of food. This particular branch didnât have parking , so I had to park my car in a no parking zone. We had 4-1 Barbeque chicken and it was tasty and quantity was sufficient for two people. Their falooda and shakes are worth trying but are calorie dense with too much sugar. I avoid Chinese/ Asian dishes here and stick to Arabian and Indian. Overall a no nonsense restaurant which delivers value every time.
The place is pretty crowded, noise and I want sure about the food. But surprisingly I had one of the best desi bbq style chicken here. The zaitoo special bbq chicken was a treat.

I just celebrated my engagement anniversary dinner here.. Very good experience.. Food quality and quantity is very good.. I think they are specialised in arabian foods.. I had Lebanese dajaj mashwi and tawa fish as starter was awsome. I have never had this arabian food from any other restaurants before.. Worth experiencing atleast once..
Shawarma has been a favourite for a late evening snack and Zaitoon is a great place for me for take aways . Not just shawarma's but Alfaham and Grill Chicken too and the mixed grill is awesome. Even for a good eater a this would be a sizeable portion . Most often do a alfaham or mix of grill / barbecue and pepper chicken , extra Kuboos and Thaoum with an eastern salad and olives , pickled chillies , carrots and cucumber on the side and I've never been dissapointed yet . If you like grilled or barbecue chicken, meat or fish this in my opinion would definitely a place to choose for a great dinner option .

It's probably one of the best places, I always loved the chicken from Zaitoon. It's been yum whenever I ordered the single piece barbeque wherein when I ordered a half the last time, I recieved a slightly undercooked barbeque. Please look into it.
Overall, for all the variety of barbeque experiences except the last time, it's a big fat thumbs up!!
Heaven for non vegetarians... all their starters are amazing... pick any chickenlike pepper bbq tandoori or any it's yummy...

Today whatever the reason the waiter was not ready to really wait. He wanted to clear plates while we were dining. Gave up desserts. Not a nice gesture of service.
I recommend reserving a table. We went on a Saturday and had to wait for an hour and a half to be seated. The food was good and good value for money. The quantities were good as well. We ended up packing two full dishes because it turned out to the too much. Keep that in mind, especially when ordering the platter. The pista kunafa was amazing and we ended up ordering seconds for sharing.

1.Well Maintained with good staff members,ambience is good.
2.I had visited the restaurant multiple times but never felt a relaxed dine in mostly it is crowded and noisy!
3.Bit expensive but food is too good is the reason for repeated customers (even me).
4.Valet Parking is there.
5. Opposite to zaitoon is Grand mall.
A very good restaurant to try middle eastern food. All the dishes we ordered were awesome. The highlight was the tandoori chicken boneless which had four pieces. The service is very good but we had to call them every time to serve the dish. Itâs definitely on the expensive end so cannot visit frequently.
Excellent place to have dinner. Their ambiance, service, food quality and quantity are worth for money.

Meshwy is ultimate, I can bet you will never get such a soft mutton anywhere. Must try one.

Veg manchow soup was quite different from other restaurants, they used green chilli instead of red chilli. The Kunafa was served very hot and fresh.
