A decent outlet at Saligramam is all I can say. Not the best not the worst but it does quench our hunger and does satisfy us at the same time. Didnβt have much money that day and so we ordered Chicken kal soru and prawn fry with pichi pota chicken .. Kal soru was nice with all the spices blended in it while the prawn was not cooked properly .. chicken was nice . Goli soda was another attractive thing they gave us as a compliment.. Decent place with a good ambience . Try it out peeps !
The food in samy's dosakall is very light. Feels just like homemade food. Be the biriyani or an idly. If you miss home and you wanna eat some homemade kinda food. This place is preferable.

I just had my dinner here today. Dishes were very good. U can find them serving goli soda , groundnut burfi , honey candy n other traditional sweet items which r not much found in other restaurants. Ambience was very good.I just want to say that, in addition to a nice meal, we had an excellent waiter Mr. Balakrishnan . He had just the right balance of friendliness and efficiency. He recognized that we wanted time to visit and did not rush us. He and other staff members made certain that we had everything we needed. Kudos!

If you love South Indian ull definitely love this place, the aroma was so fresh, could really feel the masala freshly blended, too good! Idlies wete hot, prawns had good Portion, but masala could have been still better, kal sooru and kottu barotta was pakka!!! Don't forget to have kamarkattu!

The place was much crowded by families..we dinned at our table almost after 30minutes of waiting..
The 99rs foods are only for limited items and their quantity is based on the price.. we ordered two non-veg meals which is unlimited for 100Rs. And a pichipotta chicken for the side dish..
The service was good and the ambience was pleasant.. Especially I would like to know the type of decorations they have done in their wall..

Happened to go to Samy's Dosakall, Vadapalani for lunch yesterday with my friend. It was long due to visit this place after the much-hyped promotion done on social media.
Earlier heard about the unlimited non-veg meals for 499 via ChennaiMemes. Though it's way too much for my consumption, still wanted to go for it, least for the sake of a photo. :)π·
We were there around 1.40pm. The restaurant was packed and busy.
We got seated and served with Thean Mittai, Sudan Mittai & Orange Mittai all in one bowl along with Rose milk. π¬π₯€Lemon Goli Soda was readily available on the table too. Liked it.π
After few mins came these dishes - Chicken lollipop, Nattukozhi Fry, Kadai Fry, Prawns Masala, Mutton Chops and Omelette. π€πAll served in a leaf bowl (not sure of the name). Then came the Mutton Kall Soru, Chicken 65 and Fish Fry. ππWow!! That is a LOT! Had to say NO to Boiled Egg, Chapathi & Parotta, which was already in the menu.
Kall Soru was good and had a different flavour. Medium spicy too. All dishes were equally good. Especially, Kadai Fry had excellent taste and was juicy. Yum! π Nattukozhi Fry was spicy and tasty. A bit later, We were served with Biriyani, Chicken Manchurian & Fish (Chinese) and then Rice with Chicken Kulambu, Rasam and Butter Milk. Biriyani & Rasam tasted very nice. There were so many varieties that we were not able to finish some of them but tasted it all. Excellent. πππΌ
Later came the desserts - Icecream, Badam Gher & Paneer Goli Soda. Badam Gher was good. π¨π₯€

This place is very special for South Indian Chettinad special.. The price is moderate. The service is super fast when compared to other restaurants. We placed kothu parotta and it was well made. I strongly recommend for family dine out.

Loved the dishes which are all I had over there. The restaurant is nice & clean. The ambience is good. The food served of great quality & taste, as the masala's are hand made. The hand made masala's enhanced the taste of the food.
We had mutton kal soru which is one of their must try dish. DK 47 gun chicken which is also one of their signature dish. The mutton sukka is so nice and juicy, soft. It's mouthwatering when typing these. The egg kothu parotta was too soft and easy to swallow rather than being dry like on some other restaurants.
Overall the food quality and quantity was gud & enough. The homemade masala's made the food delicious. Coming to the price range which is normal like most of the big restaurants in Chennai. A great place to dine in with friends, family & for couples. Ask your friends to give treat here at important occasions/celebrations. Apart from this so many different dishes are available here like mutton stuffed idly, Kari dosa etc.,

I went to vadapalani Samy's dosa Kal. Most of the dishes are prepared in tawa(dosa Kal).I tried many dishes.overall it is good. Particularly dk special biriyani,prawn thokku and Mutton Kall soru are delicious. They are serving Goli soda also. But it is not actual Goli soda. They have to improve in serving. Cost is also nominal. For two person it's 600. Over all it is good.
Who like spicy food are recommended here have great experience and food taste was good....old school drink goli soda lemon and panner soda...was good.. hearing that open song after many years....

Car Parking seems inadequate but on my visit there was only one other vehicle parked so didn't face trouble.
Super hotel and food are available in cheap and best... Taste of the foods are sooo good.. I loved it...

When I heard about the 499 feast got interested and added to my bucket list. Last week we 6 persons visited there for the thalai vazhai virunthu and along with us 5 kids.
A superb good unlimited feast. It was started with kadalai mittai and then around 10 non veg dishes which was unlimited. Everything was awesome. Especially we loved their prawn thokku, kadai. I never had such a tasty kadai(quail) earlier. Top class taste.
The next highlight was mutton Kal soru a perfect blend.
The parotta was so good.
They served paarai fish as std but none was doesn't liked it and we reported the same within 15 mins we got Vanjaram sheer fish fry in DK Style which was out of menu. Really superb a spl way of cooking. Loved it. As a customer we delighted with that immediate reaction to our feedback.
For kids we have ordered fried rice and noodles. Both were at 99 each. This was another summer spl scheme all the items in their menu is at 99 plus tax. Which is actually a pocket friendly solution.
The guys served with a smile even at 4:30pm upto we completely finish our lunch. Really got impressed with their service.
In deserts they served Goli soda in Orange and panner which was unique. Then we had ice creams and rose milk.
Overall we had a great time and enjoyed their service. I can even say their service is 6* one 6 out of 5.
