Such a nice place to go to dinner! The food and the staff were good! Would definitely recommend it! The briyani is good!
Do try to check out this place!

A good place to hangout after a great time at Bessie. Came with family and all could order their favorite items. Their mutton biriyani was out of the world .

Ordered Special Tamil Nadu Meal the order was well packed with 2 banana leaf and it was delivered on time. The quantity was very good It can easily serve 3 people, taste and price of the meal.
The aviyal, sambar, chutney, kuzhambu all tasted very nice. Rasam and payasam was the winner. I would like yo visit this place with family.
Timely service is appreciated
The ambience of this place is good and the Food here is tasted i have been here a couple of time for dinner with friend i would like yo visit this place again with family service very nice
People in next table sometimes tend to be nuisances by being too loud. That destroys the ambience of the restaurant and I'm not convinced that there is no way to let them know how others feels being disturbed while eating. This is ridiculous. My honest opinion about the restaurant is quietness and service and if that's compromised that will leave customers unhappy. This is meant to be a constructive feedback for your betterment and our satisfaction.
I went with my friend last Saturday for dinner. We went during the closing time and still, the staff was friendly and welcoming. My friend ordered chicken fried rice and I ordered pulka, Kulcha, and Paneer Burji.
I loved the Paneer Burji. The pulka was soft and not a drop of oil was there. It was hot, soft and tasted good. The kulcha was good and delicious.
I was little hesitant when my friend suggested this restaurant because I was wondering if they can cook veg so well being a non-veg specialty restaurant.
I was amazed that they were able to cook vegetarian dish so well.
It was a nice experience and I want to go again to try other veg dishes.
I don't know why the reviews are so bad. Had meals from this restaurant was good. I do
Din't expected much from this restaurant, I surprised me
Me and my frd just visit the restaurant.... we ordered for chicken biriyani, b. Naan, chicken pepper masala and Nethili fry. Briyani taste is nice. Chicken pepper masala was awesome...but fish taste is not satisfied.. please improve for our service..
The hotel is located right next to the bus stop at Besant nagar. They have a very normal ambiance with not much of seating. They offer multi cuisines. But it's best to have their Chettinadu food here. You won't be disappointed. I like their chicken biryani and chicken Chettinadu pepper roast. The quantity and quality of the food is decent. The pricing is worth the food served. Would recommend this restaurant to people who wanna have good South Indian food while around Besant nagar.

Quite Decent.
It is very easy to find, just beside the Beach/Church bus stop, not so difficult to trace.
A small place but quite decent one.
You can have a proper south indian cuisine in this place & it is not that crowded, quite spacious.
Ambiance is okayish nothing extraordinary but a good place for a quick munching snacks or dinner.
As they say, they are good in southern cuisine & they have a spicy taste in every item.
I liked the biriyani & idly , they are so soft.
The sambar here is very tasty, loved it.
North Indian cuisines are just average.

Food is good and spicy over here..! Specially the non veg.. But specially in the Besant nagar place., cooking smell along with some bad smell all over the place while eating..!!
I used to love their branch in Anna nagar. So wanted to eat here. But got disappointed that they took my favorite item (Non veg platter) from the menu.
The food is good. Nothing exceptional. The kheema vadai is great. I love their seer fish fry too.
A decent place to eat south indian food in bessy.
I have been this restaurant for my lunch with my friend... It is a pretty decent restaurant where we can come with our family... As we had a long drive in this sunny afternoon , we wanted seat in a cool place ... So we got a place near by AC... We have ordered 2 non veg meals nd one mutton sukka varuval... First he said mutton is not available nd later they have served mutton sukka as well... We got rice along with fish gravy , sambar , veg gravy, aloo masala,, keera , chutney, rasam, curd papad , and a sweet .. While my friend got mutton curry instead of fish ...( am not sure y thr is a difference in the same meals).. The taste was good ...especially The mutton sukka varuval... All together they charged. 550 which is too costly... I will give 3.5/5 , service :2.5/5, ambience 3.5/5 , price : 1/5
My love for chettinad food bought me here.. Ordered chicken curry, mutton sukka, biryani and Kerala parotta.. Pretty descent food and not heavy on the pocket as well.. Not a must try though..
I just love Kaaraikudi food, the chettinad cuisine...The food though is spicy, its good too..It may not suite the appetite of a north Indian .. The place is also neat and ambience is good..The utensils in which they serve water is that of the brass..The food is good..I just love their lunch meals..Parking might be a constraint
Rainy night it was and got totally drenched while coming from beach and at the same time was very hungry. While coming on our way spotted this restaurant which is very decent to look at.
Coming down you will see all glass decorative things. We took our table and then before ordering they provided us with Jeera water. The vessel in which they gave drinking water is very traditional even they will serve your food in a leaf on the plate.
We hurriedly ordered for Crab soup , which works good for cold.
In the mean time we were going through the menus. Lovely yummy names.
Finally we got our crab soup. Too tasty it was and just yummy! ! Loved it.
Next came our main course.
1. Egg appam, which I tried for the first time and really liked this south Indian dish.
2. Chicken biryani, that's okay to taste as the real taste of biryani you can hardly get in Chennai.
3. Prawn masala, very spicy and tenderly cooked.
The little gravies they will provide u with biryani and also raita.
The main course made me so full that I wanted to try something in desserts but ended up with a lime soda that helps in digestion I guess.
The staffs were all well behaved and the place is also very neat and tidy.
They can add a low music in the background if possible. Very much pocket friendly.
Lastly one thing I loved most was; while leaving they provided us with a paan (sweet bida) and that's made a lovely dinner.
Following a trip to Besant Nagar Church we thought we would stop for some yummy lunch. My word this place did NOT disappoint it was fantastic!
Firstly, don't judge a book by its cover is definitely the first rule when reaching this restaurant as it really doesn't look much from the outside with its hand written sign and hidden doorway. However, as you approach you can see the colourful glasswork and traditional carved wooden doorway......very intriguing almost like Aladdin entering the cave.
Once inside and down the stairs the decor is opulent, colourful and they utilise mirrors very cleverly enhancing the restaurants size and light reflections, i loved it instantly. Not only that but the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
We ordered crab soup (containing and entire fresh sea crab) AMAZING!! veg meals, chicken curry, mutton pepper fry and fish fry, appalams and two gravies. Everything we ordered and ate was cooked perfectly and tasted absolutely fabulous.
Unfortunately, we were far too stuffed to eat dessert but I noticed another table enjoying tall Strawberry and ice cream faloodas which by their lip smacking noises and smiles on their faces they must have been good.
I recommend this restaurant to everyone, only down fall was a few things we had ordered were not available but we were not upset or discouraged as the staff recommended alternatives which we ordered and simply LOVED!!
They serve authentic south Indian dishes with really good taste. As an outsider to south Indian foods , I liked the place, ambience and the taste. The service wasnt very good and staff was also not co-operative.
This is the first time i went to this restaurant. The food was good. Good ambience. Friendly servers. A good place to go with friends to enjoy.
I've been to karaikudi very rarely but as much as I've been there I like their taste.. regular dishes and usual taste. The quantity on take away is more than sufficient. It has a nice ambience and is reasonable at cost. Service too is descent.
One of the few places to opt from for down south taste. It isn't disappointing at all!
