Review Arabian Hut - Chennai (Madras)

Arjun Jerath
I've frequented Arabian Hut for years now and this review is long overdue. I honestly believe the craze of the Arabian style grilled chicken is more prevalent in Chennai than any other city in India. There are several great places to eat but the one served at Arabian Hut is the BEST by far. I have eaten at their outlet at Express Avenue as well and the same is the same. Food: - Must try the slow roasted Grilled chicken. The skin is perfectly spiced and the chicken inside is quite juicy and tender. The garlic mayo and pickled green chilies are the perfect accompaniments. *Always ask for extra Kuboos - Chicken shawarma. EXCELLENT. I always go in for the special chicken shawarma which has only meat and no veggies but even the regular one is great. Must try it with the green chilli. The chicken is marinated differently than their grilled chicken. It's more yellow and it goes perfectly in the roll form. * This can tend to get heavy because they are very generous with their garlic mayo but always take a Pepsi to wash it down. Service: - Very prompt and quick but NO SMILES. No suggestions given and no attempt is ever made to strike a conversation. This is an area that can be easily improved. - They don't do delivery through Zomato or Swiggy and they are missing out here. Ambience: - Nothing much to say here since it's located in a food court. But yes, there's ample seating everywhere. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND going here and trying the two items I mentioned above. I've never tried their Fried chicken or their biryani so I won't recommend them.

I recently visited Arabian Hut in the food court of Phoenix Mall, and I must say it was a delightful culinary experience 🥰🤩.The ambiance of Arabian Hut in the food court was cozy and inviting, and the service was prompt and friendly. The staff members were knowledgeable about the menu and offered helpful suggestions. I ordered their famous chicken biryani and paired it with a refreshing Blue-Sky Mojito 🍹, and I was blown away by the flavors and quality of the dishes. My visit to Arabian Hut in Phoenix Mall's food court was an absolute pleasure. The biryani was exceptional, packed with flavors that transported me to the heart of Arabian cuisine🍛✨. I was greeted by an enticing aroma that made my mouth water. Every bite was a burst of deliciousness, and I couldn't get enough of it. The Blue-Sky Mojito was a refreshing and invigorating drink that perfectly complemented the meal. I highly recommend Arabian Hut to all food enthusiasts looking for a memorable Arabian culinary experience💯. It's a hidden gem in the bustling food court of Phoenix Mall ✨❤️. My all time favorite place for grilled chicken, tried here after long time, good that they maintain the same taste, shawarma platter was not bad, but this is the place for GRILLED CHICKEN, pls don’t complain abt their Biryani or KFC style fried chicken!

It's inside Phoenix Mal Food Court . So it's very crowded, but their service is very fast. Must Try Chicken Shawarma.

Recommended by the locals, not bad, as the taste was slightly different in a good way and the meat was tender and juicy enough

Their shawarma and chicken is always the best. I’ve gone there so many still will and they have never disappointed me with the taste

Excellent place to grab a burger or shawarma or brosted chicken. Exquisite taste. Best place to have your meal in phoenix mall.

The way they served the food was also delicious..

My go-to place for some VFM food in phoenix market city. I personally felt that all the other vendors were charging high, compared to this one. Their chicken is good and tasty. Biryani is okay-ish. Haven't tried the Shawarma yet. I'd definitely recommend this place to others.

Best grill chicken in chennai by far …. My nephews want to have every time they are here in chennai

People who want to try some shwarma and grilled chicken after shopping....this is place good. I saw people crowded here after kfc. Grill chicken I really like because the skin is crispy, the meet is juocy and well cooked enough the meet.simply remove the meet from bone with two fingers....more

The taste of the biriyani and chicken was amazingggggg no doubt but I feel it’s a bit pricy for 500₹ could have been a little cheaper or should have added some other side dish too. This combo is of charcoal chicken, biriyani and coke.

I have tried almost most of the items from their menu and have visited them almost everytime while I have been to the mall.

I really like their combos and the best thing is the mayonnaise they provide. The chicken used in their grill and barbecue is soft and juicy. I really like the fried chicken they serve which is quite crispy and soft inside. They have always made me happy with their delicious food.

One bad thing is finding a seat here at the food court as it gets too crowded and sometimes the food gets cold while we are waiting to find a seat. They could improve on their biryani though.

So whenever I am confused over selecting a restaurant inside the phoenix mall, I have ended up at the Arabian hut most of the time. Looking forward to more visits
Order full grill chicken...it's very spicy but soft and fresh....and it's very costly 525.. for self service...not vfm...and it's my first and last time to restaurant
I was it at this place along with a few of my friends for lunch we ordered the chicken Biryani and grill chicken combo the service was pretty decent but the taste of food at this place was horrible a plate of biriyani along with few pieces of grill chicken cost around 550 bucks. I don’t blame the price tho it was too much, the taste of food was horrible tasted worse and they servers convinced us to believe that the combo will be enough for two people which was a total blunder it want be enough even for a single person. I really don’t recommend this place to anyone and I will not visit this place again.

Value for what you pay = 0

Very tastey food, even if u take less it will fill your stomach and taste buds. We took the combo chicken grill. The grilled chicken was very juicey and tastey. Would like to visit again.

Ordered shawarma platter. But it was not so outstanding. You can good shawarmas outside at cheaper prices. Mayonnaise quantity is less. The chicken is not shredded properly. Otherwise it's good.
The Eggman
It's in the food court yo! As you know, the food court is crowded af all the time.

These guys are quite okay. They try to deliver quickly and make you leave the place as quick as possible. That's what you need right before a movie.

Shawarmas are quite okay. Grilled Chicken is good most of the times, I guess. (Yeah, I have eaten grilled chicken more than once at this place)

I'm giving it a 4 star because it's good but not great.
Jerish
Visited during weekend ,huh what a rush inside food court!!!
shawarma roll is really good and tastes very much near to my expectation, but their briyani not much flavoured ,just a plain normal stuff.
Saravanan Venkateswaran
Had Chicken shawarma, broasted Chicken with French Fries. Chicken shawarma was really yummy and the chicken stuffed inside were really soft. Broasted Chicken were deep fried and the crunchy layer was tasty. Not really happy with the garlic sauce. Overall it was good.

Been there just few days ago.Experienced Arabian flavour.ordered grilled chicken with swarma..Taste was amazing.. looking forward to go again.
Deepak Nataraj
I find it a good place grill that tasted really really good but for shawarma they can do well.. it tasted okay and the salad given along was also not so well minced.. but the grill chicken was very well cooked and the spice was perfect.. but additional cost for sausage was not acceptable.. but a good food place..

This place is not what it used to be. Guess time does that to everything. It's a part of the food court in the mall. Usually not crowded and one of the few places in the mall you get Arabian food. So shawarma lovers like me - not much of a choice but this at the food court.

The food is good-ish. It's not bad, but nothing to write home about either. But the main gripe I have about the place is the price - and yes I know prices in a mall aren't exactly cheap, but the quantity you get for what you pay for and the taste of the food just aren't up to the mark. Just outside the mall there's numerous restaurants with better options for quantity and taste, and for lesser price. So I just can't justify recommending anyone reading my reviews to eat here, unless they REALLY want to eat inside the mall, and they REALLY want only Arabian food.

I bought a grilled chicken full and a shawarma. The grill was decent but the shawarma just seemed way too small for the hefty price tag it carries.

Oh, and the staff seemed good too.

So overall a place I personally can't recommend unless they do something about the price and quantity ratio. Here's the overall rating split:

Food: 3.5
Ambience: 3.5
Staff: 4
Value for Money: 3

Arabian hut

A food place in pheonix market city a nice place to get Arabian style foods in food court.

I had this grill chicken in this palace

The taste was not upto the mark the chicken was little bit over cooked and was not juicy I felt like the chicken flesh was little bit hard.

The kuboos they gave with this was okay but very thick.

The overall experience is average.

I would like to give only 2/5 for this restaurant..

#the_food_punch #foodblogger

I was excited about visiting this place, and I must say , I was let down , I ordered the Shawarma combo which included Chicken biryani , Shawarma roll and Pepsi, The shawarma was ok, Not amazing but not bad either, I liked the pickled vegetables served with the shawarma though. And the biryani , ugh! My favorite part of the chicken biryani were the chillies in it! The rice was absolutely flavourless ! The chicken was slightly raw in the leg piece , that's never a good sign... The breast piece was decent but what does it matter? I am rather dissatisfied with the place

The service was good though, that's the only reason I'm not giving this place a 1 star .
Ashish Nayak
The food was really great though the pricing was a bit too high. Yet for such a price is the only place in the entire mall for some nice Arabic dishes to feast on.

This little stall has always been promising when one orders
- shawarma and grilled chicken.

I was especially happy with my order that came with picked carrot, onions and chilli.

The shawarma can be slightly heavy, but is quite small.
ii highly recommend you try the shawarma out!
Arabian hut is one of the best for tandoori chicken.
As I’ve been here.
We ordered a broasted chicken, a tandoori chicken and a shawarma platter.
Broasted chicken was topped with french fries and their mayonnaise is very good.
Tandoori chicken with soft pita bread, some tangy salad and mayonnaise as dip.
Shawarma platter mixed of veggies as salad which also includes of chicken mixed with some mayo and different sauce and this also was served with pita bread.
Pita bread was really soft.
All were just finger licking gooood.
Do try this place if you are tandoori or a shawarma lover.

One of the best shawarmas you’ll find in town, simply put. It’s mega, and the constant stream
of customers, you’ll find in this store, proves it. Roasted chicken and fresh veggies stuffed inside traditional bread with a slick of garlic. Perfect.
Yash Channe
They're very few places in Chennai where they serve chicken shawarma and this one is one of them. As non veg is the main USP of this outlet you won't be disappointed. I would suggest order shawarma. Though it won't have a big filling but it's adequate for one.

Its a busy day and hungry too.Went to phoenix mall to meet my Bestie after a long time.So first of all i was hungry & it's around 4pm.So I just checked all outlets there and found this one interesting .Ordered Shawarma Chicken Platter combo & Mint Lime.I thought the quantity will be too less and when i get the order i was astonished. Its good enough for a person .I ate fully and my friends half too( too much hungry).I love that Arabian Food.So will be back soon for sure.

Ambiance:3/5
Service:3.5/5
VFM:3.5/5

One of the best place to get a very good Arabian Food, Taste and Quantity of Grill Chicken is very good, They do have many other options on there menu, service is pretty fast. One of the good place to have a quick bite during the busy shopping day, However the price is little high.
Roshan
This outlet is inside phoenix mall and close to our hostel. We frequently visit here to quench the thirst of our love for chicken. 2 people and one full plate of grilled chicken will make your day. Combos are also good if you want to try variety in taste. May give a shot to shawarma rolls but personally I didn't like the taste but some people do. Don't take soft drinks from here, they are not worth the money. Instead take it from the Dominoz outlet proximate to this.
Sudharshan Ramamurthy
Ordered their Grill Chicken Combo, which has grilled chicken and Biryani. Quantity wasn't that great, so little light on VFM. The Biryani and the chicken tasted very good though. Perfect place for a wholesome meal in Phoenix. The combo is suitable for two persons.
Ramki Ravi
Have been once to this outlet before. They have limited options and force us to take combos. Though options are limited, the biriyani is cooked well and tender pieces in the rice.It also came with a Fried chicken which was just Okaayyy and Frenc fries which was also pretty good. The quantity of biriyani would be sufficient for single person and when I tried to order extra rice, they again forced me take combo,so I didn't try anything else.Other wise the place is good and definitely worth a try.
Wandering Foodie
The outlet has one person working in kitchen which makes the preparation slow. It took thwm half an hour to prepare one plate of french fries with Mojito and a piece of broaster. Sad experience.
Arkaghosh1988
They are cheating. There prices were beefed up when G.S.T was 18%. Now that GST is only 5% they have not revised their prices. To my understanding there should be a price cut since their prices are inclusive of all taxes.
Ritvij Saxena
A little bit expensive but has great taste. Have tried full grill chicken and biryani. It was too good , especially the grill chicken. Great for youngster who are hanging out with friends. Try the shawarma plate too. Worth a try.
Ayush Khandalkar
Been here thrice or more for their shawarmas and biryanis. Located in the Phoenix market city food court this shop is small and has sitting provided by the mall itself coming to the food what I typically like here is their shawarmas which are the best I've ever had the filling is well cooked and juicy with a lot of mayo in it. The biryani also matches the benchmark of original Arabian style biryanis. So over all you've a perfect place to et some Arabian food. The only thing it lacks is it's pricing the quantity is less to what it costs.
While we were roaming on top floor food court of Phoenix Market City not knowing what to eat (not really a mall person), this joint caught my attention. With displays of various varieties of chicken and with us truly hungry this seemed to the reasonably priced restaurants of all and had a sumptuous quantity of meat.

So going by the looks of it we ordered a two piece Broasted Chicken and half Charcoal Grilled chicken. It’s been years since I had a fried chicken so felt really good to have a piece of super oily cholesterol rich fried chicken. They gave it with mayonnaise which was new, I don’t think anyone gives mayo for fried chicken, anyways I’m not a saucy guy so didn’t use it much. Followed it by Charcoal Grilled Chicken which tasted well but I didn’t like the fell of the outer layer coming out so easily. This completed well with mayonnaise so I had it with it in spite of not being a saucy guy.
Trishita Ganguly
Had special chicken shawarma. Worst shawarma i had in my entire life, including all major cities. Chicken was a day or two old i think because it was smelling and the roll was dry, there was no trace of mayo.
Joy
This rating is only for their shawarama! They were so delicious and tasty. Its exactly what you need to have after a long tiring shopping spree!

I had the grilled chicken combo at this place in the food court of Phoenix mall.It consists of two pieces of big grilled chicken, really juicu and smoky, some garlic sauce, chicken biryani Hyderabadi style with chillies and lots of spices in it.This was the best part of the combo. The khubz bread was really bad.It is a very filling combo, not excellent but worth a try at this price.

This is my favorite place in Chennai for chicken grill. The chicken are really well cook that comes along with roti and veggie. Also the swarama in this place is good

Had gone to phoenix mall today for watch Bahubali 2 basically am watching the movie for 6 the time in theatre....😇 And we had gone to the food court to order from this outlet my friends gave a good review on their tandoori hence tried and it was great.

The chicken was juicy and not so dry.... Its spicy and the flavour added to the chicken...Was so good and the dip was complimenting the chicken... I enjoyed each and every bite of it...Will again visit this place very soon... Would recommend everyone to try here...😀

Ordered a whole grilled chicken and devoured it with a bunch of friends! lol.

I usually never have any complaint about this place except the last time(before this one) the chicken didn't have enough salt. I think it was a few months ago and it was a takeaway when I came to the mall with my family. After much deliberation from my friends, we decided to try it this time and luckily it was good

Definitely a good place but I'd recommend them to try to have consistency in the way the food taste. You'd hesitate to go to a place if they serve you food that tastes good sometimes and not the other.
Praveen
For quick bite, ordered 2 shawarma, less than half filled stuffing on both, Mayoneese used in it tasted OK, cabbage was stale. Will not visit again.

❤️Arabian Hut❤️

This place serves some good grill chicken and shawarmas . I ordered chicken shawarma and grill chicken combo and it consist of chicken biryani , half grill chicken , Pepsi . Chicken biryani was not up to the mark but grill chicken was pretty good and spicy . Shawarma was as usual to it's best . The price of this place is pretty nominal and its a pretty good place comparing with other places in these food court .

Best place for Arabian foods.....! Shawarma and grilled chicken will be at top notch....!
Nice place to have lunch after a movie.
Taste = 4/5
Value = 3/5
Outlet Ambience = 3/5

This place has totally lost its charm. Old chicken in shawarma. Hard and not at all tasty. The mutton in biryani was black and not fresh. Wonder how many days he freezes his mutton before serving. Disappointed with the food here.
Nehal Imam
The quality of this place has went down ever since it started. But still it outplays its contemporaries . The issue with the quality of sauce, salad they offer and the marginal amount by which dry items are burned.
Deep&Sheeb
Loved the shawarma which was tasty and the grilled chicken was juicy and well marinated. It's always too crowded and finding a place to sit is a big problem

I'm a big fan of Arabian hut grilled chicken but now a days they're loosing their brand name. This particular branch doesnt satisfy my expectations . I've been here alot of times but it never fulfilled me.

Ok the item which i ordered is Charcoal grilled boneless Chicken . They've mentioned it 'Fat Free' in the menu. So, i asked the cashier whether they use oil to coat those chicken pieces. This is a regular doubt but the answer he replied really made me angry. His reply ' Do u ever heard about grill chicken , we dont use oil' -In tamil ' grill chicken kelvi patathey illaya , oil laa use panna matom ' . Its ok but he replied in a rude tone. That was really annoying. If a customer asks a doubt, its their ( management) to clear / reply with a proper answer. Though there was no rush in the kiosk his reply was rude & lethargic.

Then coming to my order they took nearly 10mins to deliver my food. I removed all the skin from the chicken pieces & tasted it. Nothing great about the chicken , just a regular masala grilled chicken somewhat rubbery were i never ever tasted a single bit of charcoal smoky taste in that .

Charcoal grilled means there should be some charcoal taste / atleast aroma in that chicken ( for that rude man ). Mayo sauce is full of fat & i didnt touch that & hubbus too. This costed me a total of 255 rs.

Bottomline : U cant expect a great taste from this kiosk but u can expect a rude reply from them ( assured).

Been there recently and had their Grill Chicken which was absolutely delicious. Haven't tried their other dishes but the menu looks pricey compared to other Arabian restaurants.

Service was good.

Happen to visit here recently and had their tandoori chicken. Very spicy item and tasty. Must try if you are a fan of spicy food...very fast service

Arabian Hut maintains the quality of their food. Grilled Chicken and Shawarma would top the list. The joint seems to be affordable and yes, the food that they serve is worth the money.

Rating :

Food - 4/5
Service - 3.5/5
Ambience - 3/5
Value For Money - 4.5/5

First, if u go for arabian hut please take too much of money
Second, u must wait more than 20min for your order..
Too much of cost, better avoid combo packs go for a l carte.
And the taste also not fair here, I ordered chicken biryani and charcoal chic but it was very cold biryani I ever ate..so better u go for good grill chic here....
Arabian hut simple words never expect original arabian food here...

Charcoal grill chicken is the best chicken i have ever had. Crazilyyyyy awesome. Yummilicious!! All the points for this onr item and dont miss it whenever u come to Phoenix mall
Pradeep Varma
Shawarma at its almost best, that's what you would get here. Asked for spicy one and got very nice one with right kind of stuffing and flavour. Breasted chicken with the garlic dip was also pleasant. Together not heavy on the stomach and the pocket.
Sangit Sarma Rajkhowa
Wowwww !! I live this place. This place is my first choice for eating every time I visit Phoenix Mall. The Shawarma here is really great - both the plate and the roll. The grilled chicken is great too.

Everytime we come for movie in luxe we'll never miss Arabian hut's Grill chicken.

I love their hot and spicy chicken which was cooked perfectly. It will come along with kuboos and small amount of mayonnaise.

Thumbs up to Arabian hut.
Rajit Hazra
Rarely do you find a place like Arabian Hut which provides wholesome meals at pocket friendly prices. We had ordered their grilled chicken. The chicken was juicy and spicy and the pieces were quite large. They provide nuns/paranthas (I'm not quite sure) and a mayonnaise dip along with the chicken. For 200 bucks it was more than you could ask for. Personally, if you're looking to fill your stomach at reasonable (read cheap) prices, this is your place. Recommendation - try the grilled chicken.
Syed Sagheer
In that overpriced Langaar like situation, Arabian Hut comes as a savior. For 400 bucks you basically get a very large biryani and half a grilled chicken, garlic dip, 1 khuboos and a pepsi. So its a good experience. i always feel Arabian hut has an edge over others with the quality of their grilled chicken and charcoal grill. The chicken seems moist and juicy
Aishwarya Natarajan
Arabian hut- an odr outlet in Phoenix!
After readn de reviews which praises deir shawarma, thought to gv it a try!
So bought a chicken shawarma.
Twas a utter flop! Bittery in taste!
Cudnt evn finish it fully!

Theres a small counter of arabian hut in phoneix marketcity food court in velachery. It has all arbi cuisine. The shawarma is my favourite. I think you will get the best shawarma of chennai in arabian huts. Also inspite of heavy rush, waiting time is less.

After loads of window shopping felt tired and exhausted and very hungry so ordered grill chicken combo that has a plate briyani,1/2 grill chicken,1 kuboos, mayo...briyani was average grill was awesome as usual....
Getting and fighting for a table becomes a diffcult job here otherwise phoenix ka food court has good ambience
Vitesh Nathani
It's located in a Phoenix's food court. Too much struggle to sit and eat on weekends . Not all pieces of grilled chicken were well cooked. Biryani was little less spicy.
Sachin Francis
Being an avid lover of Arabian food I must say this place adds an Indian tinge to most of their dishes which makes it unique. If you are really critical about having Arab food then this place is good for a try. Apart from that other items are worth a try too especially their chicken nuggets. They have an unusually good salty flavour which I haven't come across anywhere else.

Not very satisfied with Charcoal Grill on second visit , took a parcel, Wanted only charcoal grill but was given boneless grill instead... poor arrangement with packaging only one kubos inside and kept with the grill, shwarma was good!! Place only good for traditional grill... Do not t ry for other variety of grills!! Worst taste and spice than other grills and value for money goes down......totally unsatisfied and mood spoiler with charcoal grill.. would never visit again after this incident

Whenever I visit Phoenix Market City, I make it a point to pick up a shawarma, some fries and the awesome garlic sauce from Arabian Hut. People do question me as to why I have the same thing over and over again. But I just have one thing to say, that I like it that much.
The best part is the price. I don't know any other place which serves better grilled chicken and shawarma than this place and at those prices.
Sure try for meat-eaters. They don't have a huge menu, but whatever they have on their cards, they do it well. Broasted chicken is also a sure try. Would give the KFC, which is just adjacent to it, a run for their money.
Garlic sauce, well I insist that you take an extra cup, just for slurping sake. :-D

If I'm at Phoenix and have no time to waste on a meal (coz im on a sale shopping spree :) ) Arabian Hut is where i head to. My favorite dish here - Grill chicken- it is juicy, fresh and has a generous layer of the red grill masala on it - it is slightly on the spicier side- just Heaven! I usually order half - 4 pieces of grill chicken and it is served with slices of carrots and cucumbers, a generous helping of garlic sauce (it is thick and yummy and tastes better than mayo!) and one piece of pita bread/ kaboos. the shawarma is also pretty good- but somehow i feel that it lacks the flavors and the punch of the grill chicken (and that is how it is supposed to be) All this for around Rs 215.
It is located in the food court - so sometimes on a crowded weekend or weekday - it is difficult to get a seat in the common food court area.

Arabian Hut, true to its name, serves Arabic-styled food, particularly known for the chicken dishes.
Broasted chicken and shawerma are the highlights of the place. They offer filling platters which are preferable. You can also make your own platter.
It is affordable and tasty. It is usually crowded so one must be prepared to wait.
Hrudaynath Madhav Menon
Really good place to have quick, hot Arab fast food. It's crowded almost all the time. When you define Arab fast food it usually consists of shawarma, grilled chicken and broast chicken.
My friend and I had orders two shawarma platters and one broasted chicken . The service is quick and the food wasprepared right in front us so no problem on that front. We got our food and got ourselves a table.
The shawarma platter is something like a DIY shawarma with a large plate of meat, some kuboos , garlic sauce and pickled vegetables. The meat was smoky and had a nice flavour . The garlic sauce is kinda addictive. The pickled vegetables have a sort of an acquired taste so avoid it you don't like a 'in your face' pungent , salty flavour.
I made my own shawarma, a combination of fries from the chicken , meat, pickled veg and garlic sauce. It was really good and really filling. Making your own shawarma has it's own sense of satisfaction I suppose.
The broasted chicken was on point, crisp exterior, soft meat. Broast is just another word for fried chicken just so you know but it's a pressure frying technique.
On the whole a hearty meal after a day of fun and games.
Food - 4 /5
Value for money - 4/5
Since this is a food court , I won't be giving any points for service hehe.

Location : 3rd floor , food court , Phoenix mall, Velachery
Service & Ambience : NA as it is a small stall inside food court. As I have been a weekday , it was not so rush ..
Food : We ordered half grill chicken🍗🍗 , they have delivered us within 5 mnts. It was not so hot or cool .. They have given 4 piece of chicken , one kubooss, garlic paste , carrot , cucumber and capsicum . Grill was well cooked nd the masala taste was too good .. It was awesome with garlic paste .. Even the kubooss was small nd soft.. Over all it was good .
VFM : It was worth for 215 as it inside Phoenix mall..
Looking forward to try chicken shawarma🌯 as well😘

Great food for the price. The fries are not upto the mark usually. But the broasted chicken and the shawarma are a done deal for the taste they have. Great place for a quick bite.

It was very crowded that day in Phoenix (as is on every weekend!) so me and my boyfriend were playing musical chair, waiting with predatory eagerness for someone to vacate a seat or two. When we finally got one close to this food stall we decided to order from this one itself. A full grilled chicken.

Unfortunately, they took 20mins to serve but I guess it can be forgiven because there was such a rush. The chicken had its skin on but the juices had seeped into it, letting the crisp skin turn into a salty and slightly soggy covering. But it was well charred and I liked it.

It came with garlic sauce. Now, I am used to the very garlicky almost mayo-like toum in lebanese joints in Kolkata. In comparison, this was watery and lacked the punch of garlic. There was a sparse salad of lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber that ate up space on the plate. The pita bread was soft and fluffy- a change from the hard, store bought kind available in some of the lebanese joints.

Ambience - It's located in the food court area of Phoenix mall in velachery.

Menu - Average. Has all the basics. Nothing less, nothing extraordinary either.

Food - I love Shwarmas. I've tried them in many places including authentic Lebanese joints abroad and in Europe. I'm realistic in my expectations here though. But expecting food that isn't rancid is the least on my list. This isn't the first time I've sampled rancid food here. But I keep going back hoping for improvement as I just love Shwarmas. This time only their pickle was rather funny. And I know a vinaigrette pickle is not meant to be fresh but a bit fermented with vinegar and spices. I make a lot of these pickles myself at home. But they all come with an expiry date and storage instructions. I'm not sure what these guys are doing wrong exactly. But the pickle was rancid. The Chicken in itself was delicious and so was the unleavened bread. I love their creamy take on Tahini.

Verdict - I don't think I'll come here again. 2 out of 3 times, food was rancid. I'd rather stay away next time. Plenty more choices in a food court eh?!

I would prefer this restaurant if you plan on having a grill.... Got good taste.... I don't feel any Arabian... It's as same as here. Nothing much to say...

You can go there for Good arabian food! Best shawarma and grilled chicken ! Good spot for quick bite to your famile while shopping! Other than that nothing great about this place !

This is the second series of Arabian Hut I've visited, the other one being at Citi Centre, Mylapore. The orders are quickly received but there will be a slight delay in the delivery which I think is acceptable given the demand in the food court in Phoenix mall. The eating place is always crowded. Their shawarmas are good and so does their chicken grilled varieties. You should give a try once to the Arabian varieties here if you have not already.

The chicken grills and tikka are good. Can improve a little bit on the taste. I like some of their combos which serves 1, 2 or the entire family. If you are in phoenix, and want some Arabian dishes, this will be a good choice.

Good place for nonveg lovers who wanna grab a quick bite. Their combos are good and so are the shwaramas. But surprisingly I liked their chicken sandwich much more than their chicken shawarma. If u go on a weekend during peak lunch or dinner hours ur bound to find yourself waiting in que to give or receive ur orders. And post that wait some more time to find a table in the crowded food court. So if you're more than one person going, my advice one person order and one person find the place to sit.. Enjoy

There was a time when I use to like this place for the Grilled Chicken that they served with Garlic Mayo and Pita Bread.
However, with days passing by, the food is getting more and more tasteless.
As always, we ordered half Grilled Chicken and it was extremely dry and tasted old. We went and asked to give fresh Grilled Chicken which tasted the same.
Food taste and Quality is going down.
Food: 1/5*
Value for Money: 1/5*

For good arabian food you can always go thete. The shawarma roll and the platter is no doubt pretty well made. Other specialties like grilled chicken are mouth watering as well.

One of the best arabian restaurants in Chennai. I have tasted Arabian Grill chicken, Zinger Sandwich and Shawarma. All the food which I ordered from this restaurant was satisfying. Moreover it's 100% halal. So a good place to eat for Muslims

Best for grilled chicken. Shawarma and grilled chicken are 🐔my favorite. Service is good and ambient. Good for non veg lovers. Located inside Phoenix mall.

Have been to this place a lot of times over months their quality has come down. The Sharwarma roll has lost its taste.....but they are really quick with the delivery though

Today was my third order from this phoenix mall outlet and unlike other outlets this was very bad. the grill chicken was fully burnt and same wid shawarma roll also. I had to throw half in the dustbin. Half was fully burnt black colour and remaining half was dry. I will never go there and will suggest all my known people to ignore phoenix market outlet. Last week shawarma was also dry and with bones. Hated it. I pulled my friends from wow momo but their bad food insulted me.. very angry now......... Had to give 1 star. Please keep option for -ve ratings too

I had chicken shawarma roll, tandoori chicken and pepsi. Shawarma was nice, tandoori was okay okay! I like their quick service and warm staff.

I had their shawarma and grill chicken. The shawarma was good and the grill chicken was the best of the two. The chicken was so moist and tender. The service of the people in the counter was one drawback.

Only place in phoenix mall where we get something worth money that will fill our stomachs
Queues are always a big headache
But they try to deliver in time not successful always

Shawarma and grill chicken are so nice. Try out combos which are really worth the money. Crowd is quite a problem as its inside a mall and service is a bit slower because of the crowd.

Best place for Arabian food. Shawarma and grill chicken are just so yummy. If only they had this outlet outside the mall's food court. If u ask about the food and services I'd just give a straight 5 star rating but the ambience is absolutely not good cuz it's just a food court which gets too crowded during weekends. On the whole i don't mind going there for some really good shawarma.
Amanda Elsa Steffi Francina Meyn

It's at the food court, so your can imagine the bustle. I love this spot for the shawarmas. They are excellent albeit expensive. But have at it, you won't regret.

My review is solely based on the Chicken Shawarma I tried a year ago. Coming from Dubai, I've been visiting shawarma joints from a very young age. The chicken shawarma I tried here, had an Indian touch to it. The filling was plenty, which is sometimes hard to find back home.

Priced at Rs. 100, I think it makes for a very affordable fare. Looking forward to trying the famously known grills from this place.

what can we expect in a mall. so that is what we get here but a bit more than that. tasty food and huge crowd. very busy place. you should know the timings and fetch a place before you can attack the food.

food - 4/5
service -na
value for money - 4/5
ambiance - na

It was yet another boring evening. I was so bored that I went to my friends house and woke him up who has just slept a few hours before, right after his night shift. After hearing some swear words from him, we both decided to go back to those teenage years of ours when we roamed around malls with no money to buy anything. The only difference was the much talked about mall those days was the citi centre. Nowadays even those who just go there for free a/c aren't going in. And so we decided to go phoenix.

I've spoken volumes about the exuberant charges phoenix has for its parking and nothing has seemed to change. It's still day light robbery from inside a small air conditioned booth. Whenever I ask someone when they are planning to revise the charges they'll have this 'I just learnt to speak yesterday' face.

After browsing (which we poshly call as window shopping), we ended up at the food court, just like every single time we walk into a mall. The choices inside phoenix is really good but the problem is that most of them are done and dusted ones from my end. Arabian hut was something I tried ages ago at EA and I thought I'll try them again. Arabian hut was attracting a decent crowd and it was doing some really good business. We ordered a shawarma platter and 4 pc broasted chicken with fries and garlic mayo. We got it in little less than 3-4 minutes. It wasn't even a weekend but still we couldn't find space to sit. Finally a couple who seemed to have gotten bored of each other gave way and we settled ourselves next to these group of girls who gave a look as if we sat there just for them. After conveying the 'sister, no sister, we just for food' message through our eyes we started having our evening snack which ended up to be our dinner.

The shawarma was really good and juicy. The only problem was the fact that chicken pieces were very little in number. Cabbage and other veggies overpowered the meaty flavour very easily. But whatever was remaining tasted good. Broasted chicken on the other hand was decent. The flavouring was awesome but the quality of chicken was bad. It had this rubbery texture which was hard to tear off by hand. Fries were pretty good. The garlic mayo dip was delicious and the quantity they gave was more than sufficient. The price was on the heavier side as usual but considering the other chains in the mall, price was considerably in our wallet's favour. Probably recommended for those who'd like a full tummy before catching up a film or something.

Since I came to Chennai I have been a big fan of this place. I was a vegetarian buy their chicken helped me to break the ice. Their roasted chicken and shawarma is really worth trying.

One of the best grill chicken u can have in chennai city!♡
You will definitely love this outlet if you are a true fan of Arabian food. The grill chicken and the garlic dip is a perfect combi♡
Rs.600 will be more than enough for two people. It will be a perfect treat to your taste buds. Now whenever I visit phenoix mall I definitely want to eat at least a half grill chicken.

Hummus!! Shawarma!! Mouth watering!!!! And now they have these plate offers that are for 295/- odd... Really good, big and crispy chicken pieces... Worth every penny... U need to convince him to give an extra Beverage... :)
