Apart from half decent dal makhani and above average paneer labaabdaar, everything else was downhill. The set-up pretty bare and unclean. Cutlery was cheap. My search for good Punjabi food at times in Chennai make me take wrong calls. Masala paapad reeked of salad rotten. Dahi kebaab was disappointing.<br/><br/>Clearly I may order takeaway of gravy dishes in future but not going in there. Never ever.

The taste of the food was not good. Ordered sarso ka saag, mushroom mutter, carrot halwa etc. Waste of money. Felt embarrassed by suggesting this restaurant, sarso ka saag was bitter in taste. Wouldn't recommend for authentic taste.

We had a really bad experience. Ordered and waited for 1 starter, 1 gravy and 2 phulkas forever. After waiting for what seemed like an eternity, we receive uncooked Aloo starter! All this while they’ve been constantly cooking and attending to only Swiggy orders! Horrible customer service!

Though the name reads Asli Punjabi Rasoi, this place is less Punjabi and more sambaryyy.<br/>I kinda felt both the Rahman and chole tasted like sambhar.<br/>The punch of Punjabi food is a big miss here.<br/>Very laid back service.

food is good. but the service it worst. They wont even bother to respond the call. Today i was about to order food from here. In zomato thali is not available and in swiggy it is unservicable i called them 5 to 6 time they just said hello and disconnected the call. Worst response. It seems they dont like customers enjoying there food. Altough the food is good but still i would never eat from here.

Food delivered through Zomato on time. Food taste was very good.Gravy was Not with much oil. Gravy was not that much spicy.Optimum spicy.Worth for the price.<br/><br/>

When you see a restaurant named "Asli Punjabi Rasoi", you expect to get authentic Punjabi food out here. So I ordered Rajma Chawal here but what came was a surprise. If you're a North Indian you would know that Rajma and Chawal are two different dishes which is served with onions and lemons and papad. What I got was a already mixed Rajma Chawal with just papad. The Rajma Chawal tasted less of Rajma Chawal and more of Sambhar Chawal which wasn't impressive at all. I would point out that the quantity is great and if they impress their quality it would be ever better.<br/>So overall according to me, my first experience was bad and since then I haven't tried ordering anything else from this place.

Delivery is fast. Quantity of food is good too. I am giving 2 star because I ordered Dal Makhani and I get a different type of dal. And that was not Dal Makhani for sure. Breads was good.

Superb food. Yesterday I had been there, the food was awesome and tasted really good. The price was also affordable. They add spice according to our preference.

Sometimes you remember certain days so clearly just because you had the best food... Today will be one such day.. The smooth buttery taste of panner makhni which complemented amazingly punchy smokey briyani.. And the crunchy evergreen deep fried indo Chinese (not so Chinese) gobi manchurian... I will never forget this day.. This food.. Best ever..

It WAS good at some point.<br/>Now its just an overpriced bad food joint. The quality of food has gone down considerably and barring a few paneer items/starters, overall the items are not good. The service is sub standard but the real low point is their food quality. I don't know if they have changed their chef or what , but they are serving yellow gram dal in daal makhani!!! Even their breads are below average now. Hopefully their management takes cognizance of the reviews here and take some corrective actions.

Amazing veg joint..gone for lunch..we ordered Roti, Butter Roti, Paneer paratha, Dal fry, Paneer lavabdar and lassi... Dal fry was too good, Paneer lavabdar I will be giving 3/5.. lassi is amazing... Rotis I will give 2/5... Paneer paratha I will give 3/5.. on total I would rate 3.5/5..

I went to this Restaurant with hungry but after ordering the menu i waited there for 26min to get my starter Panner Tikka, The Panner Tikka was oki but not good. My Main Course came after 10 min from that our order was Rotti and Malai Kofta, Rotti came like pappad and Malai Kofta was good. There main problem were with them was they not seeing dinning customer they just seeing delivery of swiggy, while I asked about this to Waiter's they are not ready to reply me itself. Better avoid this hotel when you are in hungry because for them swiggy is important than dinning customers

Love their tandoor gobi.. best you could find in Chennai. And trust me, I’ve ordered from many restaurants. The size of gobi taken is great for tandoor and the taste is awesome! Hats off to the chef!! I will be honest that I have tried others I’ve ordered but this has given me enough to rate this restaurant!

The restaurant was in Alwarpet (outdoor) before and is now in Eldams Road (air-conditioned - indoor). I used to visit this restaurant almost every week when they had outdoor seating. This restaurant is more suitable for family dining.<br/><br/> Food is very affordable and is great in quality and quantity too. The presentation of the food and maintenance of the tables, chairs, plates, etc. could be better. In my opinion, if you are craving for authentic Punjabi food, this place is perfect. The service is pretty fast and effective.<br/> <br/> Pudheena paneer tikka, Paneer Lavabdar, Garlic naan and lassi are my personal favorites.

the place is too small and cost doesn't match the food and ambience.....it's way too much.... don't go for it....it's in the basement of a building, they have a/c restaurant with 10 ppl seating.

The restaurant was in Alwarpet previously with outdoor seating, which has been moved to a new place in Eldams road itself with closed seating with ac dining option. <br/>Not a luxury dining restaurant. It’s pocket friendly, but suitable for family dining. <br/>Authentic punjabi vegetarian food with fast service.<br/>Dal makhani, aloo gobi, green peas masala and paneer starters are very authentic. Lassi is must try.
