Review Ss Hyderabad Biryani - Chennai (Madras)

I recently visited your restaurant and wanted to share my feedback regarding my dining experience. On previous visits, I had a fantastic experience with the Chicken Biryani and Mutton Biryani, making SS Hyderabad one of my favorite spots in Chennai for biryanis. However, during my last visit, I opted for the Prawn Biryani, and unfortunately, I had a rather disappointing experience. The dish was overly oily, the rice seemed undercooked, and the prawns lacked the expected taste and quality. I believe in providing constructive feedback, and I hope this helps in maintaining the high standards that SS Hyderabad is known for. Despite the recent setback, I look forward to continuing my patronage and enjoying the delicious biryanis that have made your restaurant stand out. Briyani was really tasty and the quantity was hugeeee, worth the money, spicy fried chicken was very good as well ,

One of the best biriyanis I ever had. Excellent taste and quantity. 2 to 3 persons can share one Biriyani. Bread halwa is yummy. It’s Pakka value for money and must try. Non veg starters are equally good. Service is fine. This branch is medium sized, they have only few tables outside and inside AC room. It’s located on the congested main road, so car parking is a problem. I had to park in the nearby street and walk. Biriyani is recommended !!

Not equal to Hyderabad biryani Compare to others biryani it is better.

SS Hyderabad is my favourite place and I love their briyani very much . We visited for my frnd brtday treat we ordered briyani and chicken rice briyani is very delicious and wow . But I was diss appointment on fried rice need to focus on other dishes other than that quantity and services everything is fine.

Briyani was outstanding. One person can't even eat half plate of biriyani "people like me". That bread halwa was awesome so delicious. Would love to visit again.

I have visited 5 top biryani outlets in Chennai and will happily award SS Hyderabad as NO. 1. I have also visited its branch in Karama Dubai. I have ordered mutton biryani. The following is my 10 points Biryani Rating; 1) Taste: Very tasty. 2) Integrity of rice grain: High. Soft and not dry. Well-cooked. 3) Oiliness level: medium and acceptable. 4) Spiciness: Medium and perfect. Not overpowering. Generous use of tomatoes and herbs. 5) Meat quality: Juicy and tender 6) Colour & freshness: Brilliant colour and natural, with minimal if any use of artificial colouring. The biryani is freshly served. 7) Portion of meat: Generous with two large cuts of muttons. 8) Portion of rice: XXL. 9) Accompaniments: Served with onion salads, brinjal chutney and bread pudding. 10) Price & others: Cheap considering the XXL portion of rice. Cleanliness is acceptable and service is fast.

We ordered 2 mutton biryani and a chicken tandoori . We were a total of 3 people. The food was nice but I found a strand of human hair in the mutton biryani. Other than that everything was fine.

Actually we visited in afternoon time... Asusual the place is surrounded by croud... But we were the more that 15 member, so they assist me to go upstairs there also a lot of space there. We ordered bucket biriyani which cost around 2100 and 2 biriyani it's more that enough for we 15 members. And specially kadai fry was really amazing and I loved it. If you guys visited must this.

Went on a Thursday at around 2pm. All tables were filled and only a few Tamil speaking folk were around who were able to understand what we asked for and what we wanted. We ordered three mutton biryanis which had an endless bowl of rice and only a few pieces of mutton. The last bowl had only ribs and no meat on the ribs unfortunately. We asked for more pieces and the Hindi speaking server couldn't understand what we asked. The taste was brilliant, no doubt, but the service needs to be improved. When in Chennai, educate the staff of Tamil words and what's needed! One can't bring coke when asked for brinjal gravy! Would have given 5 for sure if the taste was better and the service was better.

I ordered through swiggy with a discount of 100 rupees. But still the quantity was same and number of mutton peices were 4 to 5 as in dine-in option. The briyani was very tasty and quantity was more than adequate. This is not the 1st time I'm buying from them. Over the period of years they are maintaining the quality and quantity of food well..

The quantity of food is reduced when compared to the previous visit. We always prefer SS Briyani restaurant for takeaways and dining. The taste is excellent and maintaining the same taste is always good.

Excellent biriyani with tender meats. Had chicken and mutton executive biriyani (enough quantity for two ), which were good. What really stood out for me was the brinjal curry (baingan in hindi ) which makes a perfect mix with the biriyani. Ask for more if you are a curry lover with biriyani. The sweet along with the biriyani was also good. Pretty crowded with a waiting time of 20 to 30 mins in weekends. Would be better to order through zomato/swiggy during this covid times , else go in weekdays. Gets over soon in weekends by 2 or 3 in the afternoon.

The Biriyani from this place is to Mindblowing. OMG amazing taste, amazing Quantity, Great Sides. Honestly the Best Biriyani I have ever had in my life. The Best Biriyani's. Thank You sooo much for the Amazing taste. 🙏🏻

Best Biriyani in chennai

First of I am a huge fan Biriyani, Tandoori, Grill and few more. I have tasted it almost in most of the shops in Chennai. Also a regular customer of ss Hyderabad Nungambakkam branch. On Aug 21, 2020 Saturday night since Sunday is a lockdown, I have bought Chicken biriyan,Tandoori & Fried Rice and enjoyed the dinner. <br/><br/>Next day starts the climax, uncontrolled loose motion for all for 4 of our friends. After few hours temperature started rising 😭. On Sunday, we reached a normal hospital. They told we are fully dehydrated and admit and take trips for each of our friends with the bed cost of 8000/person.<br/><br/>They have used a expired Chicken and caused a huge health problem. My kind advice to all of them is Don't go to any Hotel in this pandamic.

Awesome Bucket Briyani worth for money

I'm a fan of ss hyd biryani for a long period. This time, I had Prawn biryani and boneless chicken 65 at Nungambakkam branch. They served in a large bowl which can easily be sufficient for 2 people. The taste was also excellent. This is why I love having biryani here. Clearly the best Biryani spot in my area.<br/><br/>Service is quite ok, If you gonna dine-in here, avoid visiting by a car. Even bike parking is a trouble here during Sundays.<br/><br/>Hoping to visit again after this lockdown❤

Chicken biryani is tasty

I had ordered their chicken biriyani combo which includes chicken 65 and sweet. For the last few months they have stopped delivering sweet and this time they did NOT deliver the chicken 65 also. When I spoke to them, after a lot of hesitation they told me that they will deliver the item and took my details. Never responded after that and started avoiding my calls.<br/>While the combo is priced including the sweet and chicken 65 as advertised by you in Zomato why wouldn’t you deliver them. Isn’t it cheating? <br/>Very bad experience and feel cheated.

Visited the place at 1pm and was in queue for 40 mins, was kinda frustrated but in the end when we started eating, it was worth the wait. The taste and the quantity both were amazing. Worth the money.😁

I Went on to order a briyani based on the brand name, i was kind of not satisfied with quantity of chicken pieces in the briyani, i could only find bones nothing with flesh, the taste of the briyani was average not exordernary, the quantity of the rice was satisfactory and more enough, the brinjal gravy and ritha were given very small in portion not enough to finish the whole briyani, and the bread halwa was so tasty .. over all the briyani was worth not more than Rs.150 but I had to pay 250. <br/><br/>Not worth Rs. 250.

Biriyani Tasted Nice... Huge quantity of rice served with 3 pieces of chicken with egg.. Everything was overwhelming... It took 40 mins to finish up... Surprised to see halwa provided with biryani.. Overall its a good experience

We the regular customer for your restaurant. My 2 yrs son eat happily your biryani but today very disappointed because the chicken biryani is so hot and spicy even for us it is hard to eat my son not at all touched he himself said very hot. Please note it.

One of the best biryani in chennai

Ordered Hyderabad dum biriyani and mushroom chilly from here. Biriyani was good, tasted nice. Mushroom chilly was eatable. Quantity of biryani was quite good too. But, I just wish they had given more liquid gravy - raita and the eggplant semi-gravy that came along with biriyani were too dry. Otherwise, very good food.

Chennai's favourite place for Briyani never disappoints us. The only let down is parking where you need to park in road. Have not tried many other than Tandoori which is good!

I would have given a rating of 5 if the biriyani that we ordered was as good as the bucket biriyani. We ordered a small chicken biriyani which was not at all good. I would have probably given them a rating of 1. But the bucket biriyani's that my relatives ordered which I had tasted were heavenly. Maybe, they specialize in their mutton biriyani's. Probably, should try their small mutton biriyani parcel once. We're not big eaters in our family so I feel that the bucket would be a waste of our money.

I am bit disappointed with the delayed delivery by the staffs. Ordered a mutton bucket briyani with starters. The quality of briyani and other dishes are good and quantity too. With the affordable price range u can go for it to have a good lunch.

As a result of being late from office ,the punishment was to get food from out and on my way what I found is this place which I saw from long time always being crowded with swiggy and Zomato boys through out.<br/>So stopped here and decided to go for mutton Biryani and wanna try some starter along so ordered for a chicken 65 (Boneless ) .<br/>It tuk like 10 mins to get the food and it was a takeaway order.<br/>Once reached home and got ready to try the amazing Biryani ......and when I opened it, I was amazed with the fragrance and portions size. Also it come with Onion raita,Baingan Saalan, and a Semiya halwa.<br/>Chicken 65 was so good with a thick coating of Indian masalas also weighing good and with big peices and tastes amazing. It costed me 400/- for this which is a good to pockets .<br/>On the whole a sumptuous meal.enjoyed with better price and good quality.<br/>Cheers guys........🙂🙂🙂

The food is good. The price is little bit high . The quantity and the quality is also good. They are serving the food is also good . The place is not keeping properly because of the population in the hotel . They want to maintain the place and keep the table clean . Other than the food is good and nice 👍🏻.....

SS is always the best at quantity and quality too. I love this place from the start. The taste is awesome. Can never beat it at all. Ambience is pretty much okay. Must try place for the taste. Alot of branches.

Today I have gone to have food in ss Hyderabad near Agaram .I have ordered one chicken briyani ,egg briyani and grill chicken . It is not nice grill chicken have gave to me it is not newly prepared . I have asked the server he not given proper response and asked the cashier also he also not given proper response. So avoid to have food .

This is the kind of quantity i’m talking about. The monster version of Biryani. Yes, the foodie-monster inside me finished one plate full of Mutton Biryani and also had Chicken 65 and ended it with Lemon Soda. The quantity is really a challenge put in front of you unless you are a bit of a foodie-monster like myself. With branches all over the city, I have one nearby<br/>my office. The real challenge is to resume back to work after you finish the eating. Still finding out a way to sleep with my eyes open in office.

I bought chicken biryani from them. Quantity is more than enough for one person per serving with abundant number of pieces. Biryani tasted good with nice flavours. But where it takes a hit is the quality. I still didn’t feel hungry even 20 hours after consumption. This is just another road side biryani outlet with a fancy brand name but with poor quality. Won’t visit them again. Will not suggest for anyone.

Good place to have biryani and side dishes, went here three days, 1st day and prawn biryani and mutton fry, 2nd day had chicken biryani and chicken 65 (was very hungry so did take any pic)and 3rd day again had prawn biryani(parcel). Prices are very reasonable

I've been to this Outlet lot of times and very often I get take aways. It all depends on your luck if the biryani you order tastes exactly how you expect it to be. Because, most of the time I get the taste of different TOMATO rice combination with Chicken and mutton. I've complained about this many a times. However, that's the way they know to make biryani. If you wanna donate to some homeless people, this is the best one since the quantity is way too much.

But last time when one of my friend took me over there for lunch and totally stunned by their the taste, crowd, service.<br/>The briyani was brought to us in a kind of oversized pot, which will not evident anywhere in the city. I stuck upon MB(Mutton briyani) which melted me upon the quantity, taste, everything inside the briyani. The meat was perfectly cooked and we don't have to chew anytime so that it melts slips inside , taking us to heaven.<br/>Cost. The costs were slightly above the regular prices but we don't care about the prices when there is heaven waiting for us inside.<br/>Ambience. The ambience was renewed recently with good air-conditioned place. We were provided with a sweet as dessert. Its a complimentary for the dine-in customers; may be for takeaway customers also.<br/><br/>24x7 we have a crowd around their outlets for their tasty briyanis.<br/><br/>Totally : 5/5 in everything<br/><br/>P.S: No pictures were taken in hurry of hunger.

t is wow experience. Chef was explains things and I ate so much thought my stomach will give a twist because it is sensitive. But nothing happened because they might be using good quality food items. Food wise all the items are tasty and very good amount of variety. I heard paisa vasool so many times but here I experienced. Keep it up guys

Have biriyani, nothing else. Or better yet, order a home delivery, for this place is not about ambiance or service but just Biryani and Biryani only. If you looking for mutton biryani, try to go or order early like around 12 noon, as it gets over quicker than chicken biryani.

We ordered a bucket chicken biriyani which is of 1300/- and it was really worth the price, the quantity and quality were equally good, they also served complimentary chicken 65 of 5 pieces and 5 eggs which means the bucket can fulfill 5 peoples... But actually more than that. Its a must try ✔️
