I still remember the first time I had their "Death by Chocolate". I was wearing a white dress and I could faintly hear my friend scream at me as it got tainted with ice cream. I continued to eat the cupcake. That's how much I love it. If you love chocolate, for the love of your tongue buy it and have it. I wouldn't recommend any other flavour but my friend reallly liked the apple pie!

They stand up to their name. You can find different varieties of Cup Cake and they are definitely tastes great. Kids will love this place. Its not easily locatable, but one can take the help of Google Maps. You also have space for Dine in and hangout with your friends. They also have delicious cookies. But the cost is on the higher side.

This place is amazing 😍 The service was really good and they guide you from picking up the flavours and if you want special orders to be done. My favourite were the six pieces i picked up ( plain jane,lady in red,zesty lemon,pineapple express,tiramisu and caramelita ) ❤️😍 The frosting on each one of them were lip smacking 😋 I only visited the cupcake company yet to visit the chat side. Its a relaxing place to spend time with your friends and family for a bite ! 😇

The best thing about this place is it hasn't changed in last 10 years, last time I visited in 2012 and recently in Jan 2023. The place got slightly renovated but over all ambience is the same. Love this place for it's innovative treats.

My first ever cupcake experience and it's from the cup cake company. It was awesome. I ordered choco cup cakes and two mini cheesecakes (choco and caramel). It was so yummy and tastes so fresh. Glad I had my first cupcake experience here. No dine-in available. Only take away.

Ordered one day before few cup cakes and cheese cake. Received them in the next day afternoon. They were very fresh and taste was awesome. As part of Business travel i tasted cheese cake in abroad but first time tasting them in Chennai and the taste was beyond what i tasted at abroad. Cup cakes also tasted yummy. Even after two days the taste was fresh.

Had ordered Celebration Cupcakes for my brother's birthday. Mr. Pranav was always available though messages and was kind enough to help me in deciding the flavours and arranged a hassle free delivery to my home! The cupcakes as usual tasted amazing ! Thank you so much for this wonderful service!

We purchased a couple of dozen cupcakes for a birthday party after being given a recommendation from a friend. We tried 5 different variety of cupcakes and each one was absolutely delicious, moist and most importantly not too rich or sweet. My favourite was the salted caramel and the most popular one at the party was the red velvet. The staff were really friendly and were willing to customise various aspects of the cupcake design for the birthday. We will be back soon!

Not the place it used to be! It’s become one small kiosk in the same premises near the gate - which is also shared with a florist! Pretty much a take away now - the AC is never on and the guy serving was scratching his pants when I entered in. Gives an EXTREMELY unhygienic feel. The worst part ? There were flies flying above the cupcakes inside the glass cabinet! It was a gross sight and I cancelled my order right away. When I asked the guy for the number or an email of the owner or a manager - he refused to give it saying he didn’t know. That obviously can’t be true! Anyway - it’s goodbye to Cupcake Company - I’ve had some amazing cupcakes there, but now it’s time to move on for the sake of hygiene !

Ordered a couple of cupcakes, after having a bite we realized that it was smelling bad and was spolied.. we went back and showed it to the shopkeeper and told the same. We did not ask for apology as well but the attitude of the shopkeeper was so bad stating that they will send the cupcake for testing and if they get a report then only they would refund and also they refused to replace that with fresh ones. If you are a good brand then please also behave like one..

Worst staf, bad quality food and bad smell in the cupcakes. Worst customer service ever in the food industry. No refund as they are unwilling.

The cupcake icing was melted and it was visibly looking very bad.

I'm totally upset about this place! The cupcakes are quite good (especially the caramelita jar!), but the team at the office was in the mood for cookies - so I called them to find out about their cookies, and they informed me that it's INR 25/ cookie and I asked them why it said INR 125 on the Zomato menu and was informed that would get 5 cookies. So in good faith, ordered 10 cookies, or so I thought! What I got was 2 measley cookies! When I called them again, the man said it was actually INR 125/cookie and what's worse, actually hung up on me (TWICE!). Is it too much to ask for correct information? And to top it off, what was the WORST was the actual cookie - I was promised nutella stuffed, what I got was some weird squiggle of non-hazelnutty chocolate on top of a powdery cookie. NOT HAPPY >:(

Been wanting to visit this place for a long time and finally made it..the red velvet cupcake was absolutely amazing..this is one of the few places where red velvets actual tastes like a red velvet! The rocky road bar was a pleasant surprise..if you love chocolate then you will definitely love this..the rainbow cake however was a different story..the bitten cream frosting was crusted with a lot of sugar and the whole this was too sweet ..there was nothing extraordinary about it..but what it lacked in taste it made up for in sight..on the whole a good experience..can’t wait the try the other flavours

Visited this place for a evening snack with my friends. Our order was Death By Chocolate, Caramel, Lady in Red and Pineapple Express. All the cakes were so moist and yummy. The best was the Death By Chocolate with the correct amount of frosting, was just delicious. Overall, we aren't satisfied with the ambiance because the AC was not even working and there were so many mosquitoes and I think the cakes are little over priced for their size.

I've been a regular customer right from the very beginning. They make some of the best cupcakes in town and the frosting needs a special mention here. Be it the Lady in red or the Cookie n Cream, it's absolutely brilliant. Unfortunately, from what I've observed over the years, the pricing seems to have gone up a bit and the size of the cupcake has decreased. That apart, the best cupcakes and cookies ever. If not for a daily affair, one should give this place a try at some point.

Cupcake Company holds a very special place in my heart. Amazingly courteous staff, divine dessert creations, and great interiors. My top pick is the red velvet cupcake. The dessert jars, specifically the rainbow and lady in red jars, are delicious.<br/><br/>The delivery service does need to be tweaked a little though. I'm often left wondering how much I'm actually supposed to pay for delivery. If I want something to be customized they usually forget about it, probably because of the volume of orders (upon contacting the store directly). Often a spoon goes missing from the package, or it looks like its been put together in a rush. But I guess we win some, we lose some?

With a branch of theirs being very near to us, had never been to this one earlier. Had a meeting at an office nearby and it was post lunch time. Wanted to carry something home, especially cupcakes, and I was craving some dessert too. Beautiful little place with and the colours of the rainbow!<br/><br/>Adorable though it was, the outlet was not as well-stocked as the main branch. The guy managing the site did not even have icing sugar or anything to customize my order. Definitely not the place to go for a last-minute surprise.<br/><br/>The slice of their rainbow cake was as tasty as it was pretty. It was sweet without being overwhelming and had a great texture.<br/>The icing, with sugar crystals did not work with the cake that well. All of us ended up scraping it off to enjoy the cake properly.

I first tasted their cupcake when I was in 10th grade. That's when I fell in love with this cute shop which happened to be right next to my new school...good ol' memories. If I wasn't at school, this was probably where I was.

Tried out cupcakes at the the cupcake company in Rutland Gate 4th St - We had Death by Chocolate, Red Velvet, Pink Panther and Tiramisu. Death by Chocolate was real good and so did Red Velvet - optimal sweetness. Pink panther was way too sweet n the strawberry jelly was like Jam. Tiramisu also did not live up to the expectation. Overall a 50:50 experience. We also had Popcorn at Rs.85/- a packet - cheese and caramel was awesome. CupCakes cost Rs.125/- each at an average, certainly on the higher side given the quality. Packaging was a let down and all meshed up together so not putting it here.

Cup cake company is one of those few outlet's in Chennai who bought in the concept of *cupcakes* here. Getting to my all time favourite, red velvet cupcakes or jars just made me forget the other flavours they have. When it first opened at alwarpet, there were days where I use to drive down to grab a bite of red velvet and continue with the rest of my day. People talk about how expensive this place is, trust me. It's worth it. Once in a while you can spoil your diet and empty your pockets as well.

This is a late review. My first cupcake experience at Chennai was at this cozy little outlet in Nungambakam. Located in the posh Rutland gate road, this place is one of the oldest and awesomatic cupcake shops. I love their death by chocolate cupcakes. They also do bulk orders within a short time. Yes, they are a too pricey but do visit this place if you haven't tried it out. You will be in love with it for sure.

Been to this place three days back on a evening with frnds since we had sudden craving for cupcakes...the decors of this place were worn out, could see the paintings peel off the wall & so was the flooring...we had ordered " pink panther", "death by chocolate"," "caramelita", " lady in red","mocha", "cookies n cream", " orange blossom" ...the first thing which was unappealing was the small flies on the freezer which was seen evidently on the pineapple express cupcakes, secondly the staff was so rude and was so uninterested in serving...thirdly the cakes were not fresh, it was dry, frosting on the top of the cakes were sticky and too sweet..<br/><br/>I have tasted these cupcakes before and it was nt this bad, but for my frnds who were first timers to this place were greatly disappointed and were cursing me for suggesting the place...the pricing for the cupcakes were also on the higher side...it was quite disappointing experience!

Dropped by with some friends on a Friday eve! :)<br/>The place was very calm and empty. Hardly people dine in! The decor part of the resto is more deceiving and beautiful with wall arts and hanging. Very comfortable seating and ambience is good. They had quite a short menu with very delicious Cupcakes though. I tasted 'Death by chocolate' and few other cupcakes, they were yummy! I dint like their Cheesecake coz it dint taste like a cheesecake! They are good at cupcakes as the name says. Service was good and quick! And the price was reasonable considering the prime location of the resto. Overall, the place is good! :)

The best cupcakes I've had since moving to Chennai. Unfortunately, they don't always have all the cupcakes available on their menu as it gets sold out quickly, so it's better to go early. <br/>The cakes are deliciously moist, and the frosting is perfect, not too sweet and very creamy. I would highly recommend the orange cupcake, but there are many others I would like to try in my next visit! <br/>The interiors are very quaint, and perfectly captures the atmosphere of being in a cute little patisserie. <br/>A must visit if you are in the area.

Set in the posh Khader Nawaz Khan road area, this place has a neat and pretty ambience with little tables and chairs and vintage music playing in the background. My favourite cupcakes in the city are the ones from Cupcake Company. Love the variety and choices. However, I personally feel they are quite overpriced, but I'll also give them the credit that they never compromise on quality. My favourites are the dark chocolate, Plain Jane and red velvet. The rainbow cakes from CC are also delicious and fluffy. They also have fun and themed and the cutest cupcakes during Christmas and Halloween that are totally worth checking out!

The one thing that caught my eye as soon as I entered cupcake company was their ambience - so pleasant and cute that you wouldn't mind spending the whole day there just looking around. Their red velvet cupcakes are to die for and is something that is a 'must-try'. The rocky road was quite nice and I'm sure chocoholics will love it. When talking about their positives, I cannot miss out their very amicable staff, which I think is very important to every restaurant.

Finally had the opportunity to visit this place and I liked the ambience a lot. I tasted two cupcakes <br/><br/>Lady in red - it's a red velvet cupcake with cream cheese frosting and it was good. <br/>Death by chocolate- OMG where do I start praising this cupcake. This cupcake is a rich, smooth and soft cupcake which gives an amazing chocolaty taste in the mouth and to make things divine once u bite into it there is a Nutella Center. This was so good that I ate two of this as myself and Nutella are hard to separate :p<br/><br/>One thing to mention though is tat the cupcakes are expensive as ₹384 for 3 cupcakes is definitely on the higher side. <br/><br/>Overall rating 4.5/5

The pink panther and rainbow cake gives good memories! A couple of years ago this was a favorite because the food matched with the price. But we don't go so much today because their cupcake sizes have reduced drastically and their prices have increased from 90 to like 130 a cupcake. Just not used to paying 3 digit amounts for cupcakes when in other cities you pay 60 or probably could get homemade ones for 30 from other places. The rainbow cake was a favorite but when I went this last time, it was like any other adyar bakery cake. Nothing special to pay 150 rs for it.

i always wanted to try this place in Bangalore, but never got the chance. I think this place would be perfect for a date, the sugar rush can give some extra energy to a stagnant relationship :P<br/>The place gives you the feeling of an old fashioned bakery and since it doesn't accommodate a lot of people the noise is at a lower decibel (really appreciated).<br/>The cupcakes are brilliant, good to taste, pretty to see. I've got some inspiration to bake pretty stuff myself :D<br/>Lovely place.

This is a small cute place where (the first ever) Sandy's used to be, in Rutland gate. <br/><br/>Ambience - very cute place, done up very well, will pretty pastel things and dainty show pieces. <br/><br/>Cupcakes - I've been coming to this place for years now and the cupcake flavours are almost ALL the same. It gets kind of boring, because it's always nice to see a couple of fresh and new things on the menu. I tried someone new that I saw on the menu called "Boston Cream", it was a custard filled cupcake. I didn't like it much, it was dry and nothing great. However, what I ALWAYS eat here is the "Death by Chocolate". I swear by this cupcake. It can drown my worries in a jiffy. It's got rich chocolate cream, a lovely moist texture and a Nutella filling. What more could one ask for in a cupcake!<br/><br/>Service - Poor service, impolite server with poor communication skills, and general disinterest in assisting the customers.<br/><br/>Pricing - I paid a total of INR 236 for these two cupcakes. Definitely on the higher side. Death by chocolate is worth it though. I'd honestly go for it even if I had to sell my kidney to afford it.

So yesterday I had this craving to eat Cupcakes and I ended up in this place which is very close by to my home. It's not difficult to locate and the best part it's on a damn good premises.<br/><br/>It was evening about 4 and was all empty barring a lady who was getting her take away. There was a man behind the counter who was slow as a snail. It took him 15 minutes to sort the lady's order. One more person for help would make things better.<br/><br/>Coming to the cupcakes the display was yum and variety was good. I chose two flavors i.e mocha and choco vanilla. Both of them didn't disappoint as far as taste is concerned and they were soft to the maximum.<br/><br/>You need to go there to try other flavors too. Price I think is on the higher side. It shouldn't be priced more than 65-70 bucks or else there be a smaller size cupcake too.<br/><br/>There's seating too, with few tables and chairs and it's kept sparkling clean. You can drop by and enjoy a romantic cupcake date there with your partner or friends. <br/><br/>Overall I liked it and would visit again. Finally good cupcakes are in town.

It's an Ok place, this is located in the Old Sandy's chocolate laboratory.. I wanted to visit since I got the news that they are opened in Nungambakkam so last year I visited this place and I ordered a Chocolate Cupcake, I din't find any difference from the Cupcakes that I have tasted outside nor the one in EA.. It's still the same but the price is Toooooo much... Very expensive wen compared to the other cup cake shops in chennai, even the expensive french Macaron is cheaper than this cup cakes... So i wouldn't recommend this place and moreover cup cakes are now over rated... Wen yu find cup cakes every Wer, it loses its charm... And Even their Customised cakes is also costly.... <br/>So This plan is a complete No No...

cupcakes happen to be my weakness. and i just wish the cupcake company was my bank - cos a good amount of money goes there - specifically most of the time (hands down) towards their death by chocolate cake !

So I've been here lots of times, usually for the red velvet jar.<br/>And that will get a 4.5 from me.<br/>But the rest of this establishment is what really disappointed me.<br/>Firstly, 2 cupcakes at 125 (exclusive of tax) go into a preparation room and come out into a 400 rupee jar. Holy shit.<br/>I always felt this place was expensive. <br/>Then I happened to try their minster cookie.<br/>Good lord. 100 bucks for a cookie. Damn.<br/>And then when I asked for a cover for the jar, the server said sorry sir, no small cover.<br/>When I asked for the big cover, I was gonna be charged 5 bucks. Okay. <br/>Then he says, sir, everyone always carry it in their hands only. Take in your hand itself.<br/>I dont mind paying a premium for good quality stuff when I'm getting premium service. That's why I love star hotels. <br/>But this is totally unjustified. Please take in hand and go.<br/>I will be back for the jar. But please give the service w.r.t your charges.

Didn't like it much the cost was too much for one cupcake and also they told us to leave as we are allowed to stay only for like 15 mins they said.

Visited the place on a rainy, dark evening and was really pleased to be in a warm and cozy place. The Cup Cake Company is located in a posh area and what one would say as an apt point for a memorable cakey evening. The interiors looked like that of  a heritage malayali house and is suitable for some quiet time of talking and peace with one or two friends.<br/><br/>The Death by Chocolate was totally awesome and the menu looked pretty inviting. Would definitely re-visit and also would refer it to friends.<br/><br/>Ambience= 5/5 <br/>Food= 4/5<br/>Value= 3.5/5<br/>Service= 4.5/5

Oh I love this place . Tiny and cute. <br/>I love their service I love their ambience. <br/>All though the price for 1 cupcake is 100+ bucks I am okay cause all you can do is spend time with spl one . All over love the place.

<br/>a place with such inviting cupcakes! Sugary and yummm. If you're ever running low on carbs, here's the place. Their designer cupcakes are so pleasing. The staff are friendly and ready to take up creative orders. The price is a little too high though considering cupcakes are palm sized. The mocha cupcake tops my list of suggestion.

If you have a sweet tooth and a sudden cupcake craving this is the place you need to head to ... Though a tad bit expensive you will forget the price point once you take a bite into these small bits of heaven ... The red velvets are a must try and one of their best ( second to what my friend Ann makes ... Hers are the best I have had so far ) ... You also get some eggless versions as well (which came in handy while hosting some adherent veggies) ....The knk branch looks nice and cozy ... A good place to catch up on some time alone with a book and a hot beverage on a rainy evening and dig into these nice rainbow jar cakes that I saw on display ... Yummiest cupcakes!!!! This place is awesome! Ambience is good :D and their cupcakes are super tasty!! I couldn't stop eating! :P they had these Halloween cupcakes too which looked really cute! the place is cosy and Comfortable. And the desserts are yummyyy!!!!

Neat stuff!! Small little coffee house planned inside an old bungalow!! Mostly you get to miss even if you're familiar around the zone.. But it's worth the find.. Yummmmmmyyy creamy cheesy cupcakes with bunch varieties... Ended up having them for every occasion..<br/>Service boys are kind and nice.. Decent service.. One of the best in the town out of the lot.. Priced heavy but bet you that you get heavy stuff in the quality..

For starters, I kind of expected the place to be a little big. But, it's designed to be cottage-cozy and I liked that idea. It's also off the main road snuck into a corner which means you can expect it not to be crazy full all the time. I went in around 4 and we were the only souls there. We were hungry and we decided to go with cakes rather than cupcakes. But, I woulda personally tried Death by Chocolate, had I not been ravenously hungry. I tried the Rainbow cake n my friend, Cheesecake. Rainbow was good except for the overly generous sugar coating on top of it. Cheesecake was good as usual.<br/>If you are a person looking for too many varieties outta the ordinary, I wouldn't recommend Cupcake Company for you. But, go there if you would like to have a piece or two in complete peace :D..

I made an order for Rs.1200/- (home delivery) from cupcake company and I should say the service was extremely disappointing. We specifically asked for neat packing and the cupcakes were smashed with cream all over the box. The person who delivered it dint know english/tamil. Spoke only hindi and it took him more than an hour to find the house which is prominently located. And they charged us Rs.120/- extra as delivery charge (Alwarpet to T.nagar) for an order that exceeds Rs.1000/- ! Cupcake Company - I think you should not undertake home delivery when you can't even do it properly. The cakes taste Yummy though..<br/><br/>After complaining, I received a call from cupcake company and they apologised for the mistake. I received 4 cupcakes packed really well in 2 hours! No mess this time. Thanks for compensating :) Im very happy with the 2nd delivery. :)

Visited the Cupcake Company Outlet over the weekend. Was celebrating a tiny toddler's birthday so especially wanted the Rainbow cake for the little one. Called during noon and talked to Mr. Pranav, who promised to reserve the 2 pieces of Rainbow cake left for me to pick up in the evening.<br/><br/>Location : Rutland Gate Road, Google maps helps , also there is a sign board at the entry to the road<br/><br/>As promised, the cakes were kept aside. Also picked up few more cupcakes like Death By Chocolate, Velvet Red etc.<br/><br/>The cupcakes are great in texture, sufficiently sized and great to taste. I tried the Death by Chocolate cupcake while my wife tried the Red Velvet. <br/>One advise is to not eat it immediately post refrigeration as the freshness is lost. Ideal is to eat it there rather than take away.<br/><br/>Anyhow i liked my cupcake while wife wasnt too impressed with the red velvet. Maybe it wasnt to her taste.<br/><br/>Appreciate the polite service, and the small but well decked up outlet.<br/><br/>Will come again!

This place reminds me of my bedroom when I was little. A small and beautifully decorated place with the one of the best cupcakes I have ever tasted. The coffee there is soul warming for coffee lovers like me. A beautiful place for a casual date or a nice evening with your bestie.

Ok so we happened to go to the cupcake company the place is as fancy as its name pretty nice place to hangout nice calm and all pink pinkie like a barbie doll's house (if u want to go on a date its perfect ;) )<br/><br/>Coming to the food a small cupcake costs around 150 bucks that's pretty costly for a "cupcake" but it tastes amazing totally worth it I ordered a red velvet cupcake and a cappuccino the cappuccino was on a lower side it was bad tasted like a filter coffee.<br/><br/>Overall a good place to munch some tasty cupcakes.<br/><br/>Verdict:<br/>Food: 4/5<br/>Ambiance:4/5<br/>Service: 2.5/5<br/>Cost: 3.5/5

The One n Only Cupcake Company in Chennai which has cupcakes which you may say even better than those of a 5 Star Hotel Bakery. Though the rates are also equally high.<br/> A very Wide range of different flavoured Cupcakes.<br/> No rush can walk in anytime it doesn't have that much of crowd coming in.<br/> An sure this will be the best cupcake company in the near future & they have already opened 3 other branches over the city. These are Chennai's best Cupcakes! The location of this is in a well posh area but this shop is located in a tiny corner inside an independent house which has been converted for selling Cupcakes! As soon as you enter the place anyone and everyone would love the ambience and the girls would definitely go gaga all over the place.<br/><br/>There are lots of posters which are hung on the wall which have very cute wordings and the ambience of this place even though it's a small sit out is amazing. The lighting in this place makes a huge difference.<br/><br/>As the name of this place tells you, Cupcakes are the best and gives you the heavenly feel. You can feel the richness in every bite of it. Though its a little expensive but what comes in small packages are always more expensive than the one in large quantity.<br/><br/>The cupcakes that you should never miss here are the Death by chocolate, Custard crumble and Lady in Red. These are the best of the whole lot and not to forget the Rainbow cake after you eat, you get an out of the world experience.
