Review Cafe Coffee Day - Chennai (Madras)

Well... Their food or coffee is not tasty anywhere but the ambience is good.

It is a casual place located in one of the most beautiful streets in the city. Like most cafes, it is extremely casual with a serene and soothing ambience. The food maybe costlier when compare to the other Coffee day outlets. But it is the best place to discuss, conduct meetings, come up with plans, design projects and just simply hang out.

This place is right on Harrington road opposite Kailash Parbat. They have car parking and two wheeler parking. Open area sit out is also there, smoking is allowed in sit out area. This is place to sit and relax so don't expect fast service. Restroom is available. Perfect place for business meetings, or a date. Or just hanging out with friends.

One of the best CCD which I have visited. Located in prime spot. Good ambience. Well suited for celebrating small BD functions. Staffs over there are good trained on customer service and satisfaction. Well maintained property of CCD. Keep it up

Good place to spend time with coffee.

Loved the ambience. Can sit hours together with your loved ones. They provide service with a nice welcoming smile.

As expected from any CCD. Visited this place to sit down and relax after a very tiring noon at Chennai. The juice options are forgettable but the ambience was nice.

Tons of space inside and the ambience was wonderful. Food was okay. Good service. Great place to chill in a group.

Located well, Good place for meeting with cofee. Trouble full parking, this is the only reason why iam avoiding this CCD

Love the location and the space. Good focus on decor, with friendly staff. Outdoor seating is also available.

Nice place but staffs are short mostly occupied with themself would be better if they are interactive

I ordered their spicy veg noodles and they sent me Rs. 10 Maggi, plain Maggi without a single piece of vegetable, for which I paid Rs. 130. And they took an awful lot of time to deliver it.

Worst place to have a cup. We ordered 3 tandoori paneer sandwich but made bill for chicken tandoori. And also added an energy drink that be we didn't order. The least you can you do is sit and enjoy the ambience with your friends and leave the cafe....

The worst experience over here. We tried ordering our favorites but it was not available.so we had no other options but to order that is available. The menu price and the bill price including the GST is ridiculously high and we spoke about this to the person in-charge but they didn't give me any sort of explainations. They were dorging to come and face us. The worst customer service ever. Highly disappointed. We would be the only person who paid 215 ₹ for a cafe frappe that's worth only for ₹185 ( low qualitied ).

Ordered peppy chicken fry wrap , egg wrap and chill shakes (buy one get one free) . The one i loved was peppy wrap . <br/><br/>The one main thing i've noted in ccd is the people who stand in the counter most of the tymes does frauds while billing ! So be careful and do get your bills and check it properly . The price was approx 440.

Studying on Harrington road, and being to all the places on that road, it will impossible for me to miss out on something that's located inside my school. Yes, a CCD inside my School and that's so cool xD though we couldn't go when we were in uniform, but I've gone other times too. <br/><br/>I like the choco frappe, and the paneer sandwich here

One of the biggest fans of their Chocolate Fantasy! Brilliant pastry! Such gooey chocolat-y heaven! Totally worth the bucks! The Chocolate Shots are good as well.

A CCD inside a school. Right. So gone are the days when school canteens kept kids company. Branded cafes do this now. But I guess there's a good reason to it. CCD is right near the auditorium there and mostly the event patrons stop by for a quick coffee.<br/><br/>That's exactly what my sister and I did. Saturday evening. Everyone in the cafe had come for the event. Space for about 10-15 people.<br/><br/>Parking : you're obviously using the Lady Andal parking.<br/>Ambiance : typical CCD. Nothing major.<br/><br/>What we ordered :<br/>- Cheese Toastizaa : not crisp at all. How is that called a toast? More like a soft bun with some cheese in it.<br/>- Smoked Chicken Sandwich : the chicken pieces were dry. Bland. No taste to it. And the sandwich did not even stand together. I basically ate two slices of bread and some diced chicken that looked like they were taken out of the freezer and placed in between.<br/><br/>The Mango Shot and The Belgium Chocolate Shot : priced at 25 bucks each. They are blissful. Surprisingly, their MRP is 45 INR. Dunno why they are sold at 25, then. Small in size, obviously - say about 5 to 6 mouthfuls of dessert in those tiny shot glasses!<br/>- the mango might have a tinge of an artificial flavoring. But, its still worth it.<br/>- Belgium Chocolate. Worth every paisa!<br/><br/>Oh. The other thing that surprised me. They served the dishes on plastic plates. What happened to their cutlery? It looked like I was eating at some road side fast food joint. <br/><br/>Cost : INR 250 for all of this. Nope. Not VFM when the two main dishes were not even worth a bite.<br/><br/>Bottom line : head there only and only if you are very very hungry and the event will take a long time to finish.<br/>

Love this place for its serene and calm ambience<br/>Although the staff here seems mostly unaware of what they are doing, it's 'at peace' ambience makes it one of my favourite evening hangout places at Chennai

The Quality of bread was very bad,I guess a old stocked bread. Never expected this type of quality from a renowned brand like Cafe coffee day. The vegetables were kind of rotten. I love being at CCD but after visiting this branch i think i would not prefer to go back to CCD. UNHAPPY :-(

It's quite and feels gud to b Tre again.<br/>Same menu and quick service.<br/>Happy wid the hazelnut latte and chocolate fantasy tat I ordered. My frnd had oatmeal cookies and Irish latte. <br/>Kinda felt tat Irish latte zz a major let down..<br/>Since the service zz quick I guess the coffee zz nt too hot so had to give it bak to reheat.<br/>Otr tan tat its gud and can visit.<br/>Car parking àvailable.

Good coffee shop. I've found a lot of places like this cafe around town. The sad thing is the limited food and the location. <br/><br/>But overall not bad.

Was never a ardent fan of CCD until i actually went in to this outlet on Harrington road. yup.. its not in plain sight as this is put up right inside the Lady Andal school campus. Happened to visit the place during one of the shows put up by "Mellow Circle" last year. The serenity of the place just hits you. The menu is standard CCDs.Ever since i have always been a frequent visitor of this outlet with a book in my hand or just my laptop. Customer friendly staff & quick service (possibly as its hidden from the main road). I just love the ambience & the surroundings during the rains of Chennai as the place is in the midst of avid greenery.So for me..Highlights : Outlet surroundings, Serenity, Customer connect & Devil's ownLowlights : Card facility works only on the 3rd attempt. Has been the case for the past 8 or 9 times in the past few months.
