Review Hotel Ananda - Chennai (Madras)

I recently had their mini tiffin and it tasted good for the price. The menu for mini tiffin gets changed everyday as they try to shuffle the few food items. Very much satisfied with their service as well.

It's a good place to have vegetarian food in Chennai at an affordable price. The taste is really good and their Masala dosa is my personal favourite. The only concern is that they don't have UPI payment options. Hence carry cash or card if you are visiting this restaurant.

Food quality was good. Even kids and Sr citizens can enjoy traditional south Indian delicacies without any worry. Food was tasty less spicy . I went there for lunch and enjoyed the meals. Service was good . Price is slightly higher but I won't mind paying as quality was really good.

(Note: This review is Only for Tiffin kinda dishes. Not for meals or rice items) Overall taste of the food is fine. Sometimes you will feel it's "little bit expensive" (especially for few dishes) They won't accept Gpay. Only Cash n Debit Card only. A/c dining in 1st floor. Lift facility available. Only two wheeler parking is available.

The staff was very helpful, they started suggesting me authentic south Indian dishes when they got to know I'm from Delhi and here for breakfast. Ate podi dosa and sambhar with hand in banana leave not like Delhi in a bowl with spoon. Sambhar taste and chatnis were way different from North India, having authentic south indian taste. Excellent hotel with helpful staff and healthy food. Wish I had one branch in my nearby area in Delhi. The food was very healthy, poorie was well cooked and hardly any oil was there, the sambhar and chatnis were awesome in taste, specially the red chatni. I'll definitely visit again in my next business trip.

Had evening tiffin, very friendly staff, hygienically served in banana leaf. Cheaper and tastier food than famous A2B, Sangeetha. Chutney, vadacurry, kurma all so tasty.

The Food quality was good. The place was neat and clean but the servers makes me think twice to revisit again. I went in the morning at 8:00 am. There wasn’t much crowd but even then the servers were not attentive. They serve with a very reluctant face. And also the serving time could’ve been better. Since I liked the food, I might order from this restaurant but never revisiting again.

I was going that way, being breakfast time went here. Place is easy to locate. Have big signboard for easy identification. Opposite to Axis bank near junction road. Have space for parking the vehicle in front of the restaurant. Ambiance is simple and decent. Service is quick and good.

Ordered mini tiffen and horlicks. Mini tiffen came with Idly, mini dosai, poori and sweet. Everything is good. Sambar and chutney accompanied well, tasted good. Price is cheaper, just Rs.42/- including GST for mini tiffen is full value for money 💰. Overall satisfying experience. I will be revisiting again.

The quality of items should be improved.. Some items are really good but some items are not upto the mark and are above the expected price as well.. But the service is good..

It was a crowded Sunday evening and we stopped for a quick dinner. It has a party hall on the 2nd floor and very less parking space. That cud be an issue if you are in a car . The restaurant was crowded but still the waiters were prompt to say that order would take 15 mins to be prepared. We ordered the below.
French Onion Soup - An excellent choice and a good taste.
Stuffed kulcha - Decent taste too much buttery
Paneer Manchurian - Paneer was breaking very easily and the taste was very okay.
Baby corn 65 - Good taste and crispy. Good quantity too
Ghee podi dosa - Was not crispy and chutney sambar was very average.
Filter coffee - I would suggest not to try coffee here. It had too much chicory and dint taste like a good filter coffee like you get in the even in the road side kiosks.

Ambience - 7 / 10
Taste - 6 / 10
Quantity - 8 / 10
VFM - 7 / 10

I have been to this hotel a lot of times and have tried Chapathi, dosa, Idli, sambar rice and meals. All taste good. The ambience is well maintained since it is a newly opened hotel. The service is slow which is always disappointing.

Once I took a parcel of meals to home and on the way the cover got torn and the meals fell on ground. It was very frustrating. They have to improve the customer service and have quality products.

It is the one of the few veg restaurants in Madipakkam and it is the reason it is always crowded.
