One of my favourite place during college time but now I feel somewhat missing. Even food quality also reduced I think

Cafe coffee day shortly known as CCD is a great place to have good varieties of coffee. The pastries available in CCD are mouth watering especially the recent arrival of Shots and Blackforest cup. It has its own taste and flavour and the unique cafe. Though its not spacious in EA. The flavours and taste can never be criticised.

Good place to coffee at Express Avenue, after or during shopping. You can rest and have a cup of refreshing coffee at first floor.

Good location.. and the service was prompt. Good place if you wish to spend some time at a discussion.

Cafe Coffee Day - I say YAY. Good coffee, great cake and staff that really try and deliver what you want.

Its being nice place for any meetings with clients n also for relaxation...... Service is excellent

A nice decent place to chill out and have some coffee and snacks in between your shopping spree.The service was fast and the place was clean too.I usually have their hot chocolate or their cappuccinos along with something to munch on.

My favourite... Had a gourmet belgian cold chocolate.... taste not upto the mark..disappointed a little....but still fine... my place for peace with sweat coffees...

The price is too high. Not the worth to pay offer. We didn't know what to order. And we asked which would be sweet. And we ordered according to what the staff said us. But it was too bitter. I say never go according to their suggestions and opinions.

Absolutely no space as the chairs are so cramped. The ambience is not as good as other CCD outlets and the service is just disappointing. They take so much time to prepare the order even if there is no crowd.

Express Avenue has two Cafe Coffee days. It still does or had, I am not sure. This one is an open seated kind of a Coffee day which sometimes get congested at peak hours. it is a good go to place to just grab a coffee and walk across the mall. Wouldn't suggest it for a dining experience.

A great place to sit with your laptop for hours. I usually order a coffee frappe or a better version devils own. The prices could have been better. Still good place for casual meetings and personal work.

I have never reviewed a place before but this time I have to share the experience. Pathetic staff,the cashier overcharged me for the 2 cappuccinos by asking me if I wanted strong or light. I said strong he didn't even tell me that he'll charge me extra over the espresso shot. I asked for the bill he said I can collect it after having my drink.please don't go here if you won't spoil your rest of the day.<br/><br/>

Cappuccino is a must at Cafe Coffee Day. It's the best seller in my books. Cold coffee and Latte are for those occasional moments. I found the Burgers and Sandwiches disappointing taste wise. You can get a seat here. Service is prompt. Good place to get your relaxing coffee or one for on-the-go!

Worst outlet. We ordered birthday cake, it was frozen and we were not able to cut the cake at all. It was a worst experience. The staffs were very rude when we complained about the cake quality. Please don't opt this outlet.

This coffee day doesn't really have a proper air condition plant. Sometimes it's very dry here and I almost sweat, the staffing is very raw and they're not east to communicate with.

Not a big fan of this coffee day. Stafff members are slow and there is no air circulation. Taste is standard and there are two cafe coffee days at the same express Avenue mall

Ordered two Frappe for 500 bucks and didn't really feel like the taste was worth the money. The Frappe had too much whipped cream and didn't really feel the coffee flavour.

Worst outlet ever in town ! Pathetic service , they don't even know their job ! Plus devils own was 202 on menu but I was charged 225 and the tax along with it.<br/>Shut down this place respected management ! Worst ever !

Having never been to CCD tried to give this place a shot, and I regret it. We ordered Strawberry milkshake and tandoori chicken sandwich which was priced at 120 rs and 162rs respectively on the menu... while I was placing the order the person asked me if I wanted cream or icecream blend for my milkshake I said icecream and they asked me to choose if I wanted my sandwich to be spicy or cheesy and I chose it to be spicy which is just a flavour and said that the bill was 435rs... he didn't give me the bill i was constantly reminding him for my bill after having the food I received my bill which stated classic strawberry milkshake 180rs chicken sandwich 162 and mango milkshake 73 rs when asked about the mango milkshake which we dint order he said that it was just billed by the name but it actually was for the sauce and extra veggies... he dint even ask me if I wanted extra veggies or any other sauce he just asked me if I wanted my sandwich to be cheesy or spicy which is just a flavour... and trust me the dishes were so bad I've had better sandwiches and milkshake from ordinary bakeries. It was just two thin wheat bread slices with very less stuffing I hardly found any chicken pieces in them they've given me such a sandwich after charging 73rs extra for extra veggies and sauce,imagine how bad a normal sandwich would have tasted.. coming to the strawberry milkshake it tasted absolutely bad, it was nothing more than rose milk with crushed ice cubes... I was only able to taste the ice and not any icecream... The food industry becoming so competitive with their taste and prices CCD is lacking behind. We demand good food for the price we pay. Not worth visiting.

It's been a long time since I visited Chennai and I was shocked to see the standards of Cafe Coffee Day to have fallen to such poor proportions.<br/><br/>The interiors were mediocre. The menu basically had no options. And the Coffee was disgusting.<br/>It's a terrible shame that you call yourself a Coffee Cafe when you can't even make a regular cup of coffee.<br/>The coffee I got had the consistency of water and tasted ridiculous.<br/>The cold coffee was average. Nothing more to be said.<br/>Oh but the bill was .. how can I put it right? Yes the price was inversely proportional to the quality of the coffees. Damn.. Disgusting Coffees. But sky high prices.<br/>Extremely disappointed and will never return.

Please think twice before entering in! We went there for an evening snack after shopping and there was a long queue in which we had to wait for more than 20 mins. The staff at the counter was very rude and she made us repeat every order twice. Two of our orders came after 15 mins and the third one came after 30 minutes. None of the staffs were polite and friendly. Very bad experience.

I was given a Latte (Regular) and Devils Own for Rs. 454 yesterday. I asked for the bill and forgot about it. They forgot to give me the bill till the very end. The price at this menu posted here adds up to only Rs. 322. Which means tax is more than 28%. I don't get it.

Think again before visiting CCD, here its 3 drinks cost u 831/-(posted today's bill) . Devils own, tender coconut drink N classic lemonade these 3 will notch up ur bill crossing 800/-. Taste of Devils own was good, classic lemonade could be better N coconut drink was just the rite taste. As i Said in beginning think before ordering or visiting CCD, in this competitive business u will find drinks from other cafes less priced. I find other cafes pricing less for 3 drinks than CCD. Been here quite a few times , they make great cappuccinos and I jus love their cheese corn n spinach sandwich !! Good coffee place when at EA.

It was the place for hang out and spend lots of time with someone special. There chocolate cold coffee was too tasty with Chaco chips . We love this coffee.

There are 2 CCDs in EA mall and both are good to pass time while waitng for frnds to arrive. Or to rest when ur legs are too tired. Good coffee and cordial staff make life easy.

I went with my friends on a weekday for evening snack. We had Burger, a toast and frappe shake. <br/><br/>The burger was okay and it was not good in taste. The toast was decent. The frappe was cold and thick. It was worth the money.<br/><br/>Try to get coupons and use come cashback offers using phonepe,ccd beans in app. You get good discounts.

Terrible outlet. The sundaes are specially terrible. Tried the cocoa mocha sundae, and it's a cup full of sour cream and froth. Appalling! <br/>Even the Devil's own is pathetic. Do yourself a favour and DO NOT EAT HERE!!!

Nothing is there good to talk.. staff are in flight mode.. ambience not great... Poor service... Biller is seems to be sleepy... Garlic bread with extra cheese is smells like spoiled.. mango shots good.. berry bite okayish so we stopped ordering... Didn't feel to go for next course..

Had my fav devil's own really awesome & all other hot and cold beverages were worth to try & sundae toffee ice cream was average. Must try for all coffee lovers

Good place. Good coffee. Great place for a conversation. Good location for tired and busy shoppers who need some caffeine. Good staff. Just miss their truffle chocolate pasteries.

I always goes to CCD for the walnut pastry, all time favourites.. had enough time for a movie at ESCAPE so wanted to grab something to eat, <br/>FUNZA just like the older days uncle chips, same taste, great time pass <br/>RUSH the pomegranate juice was not good as expected <br/>It's was like Powdered juice packed in a bottle and was not worth for the money <br/><br/>Coffee as usual excellent for coffee creamers <br/>BON APPETITE FELLOWS <br/>PEACE ✌🏼✌🏻✌🏼

Inefficient staff, expensive pricing for a fast casual cafe and a good chunk of the menu was not available. <br/>Tea was decent in taste however and snacks such as somasas reasonably priced

Well CCD !! Use to be the place in chennai ... their tag line emphasis on coffee and conversations is left with only conversations now !! <br/><br/>I'm a regular coffee day person during my college days and I have had better experiences ... <br/><br/>I was solo and it was a quick hunger quencher I ordered vanilla something " they gave me their choice as I said I wanted something other than coffee " .... it's looking like a poor version of famed coffee day tasties 🙁<br/><br/>Then the chilli cheese toatizza - I know how It is and I have had but the way they served !!!<br/><br/><br/>Extra cheese is just layer of cheese placed on it and thrown in oven ... it was almost a burnt version with sides so hard !!! <br/><br/>The bill is 300 + so little for so much !!! Have been here several times. But worst was out last one. Had a chocolate cake. Surprised of how bad a cake can CCD provide these days. Dry and ruined. Please serve up to your standards.

This place is a joke. You got to be kidding me. I asked for iced black coffee with whip cream. They gave it to me in a 250 ml glass half ice and the waiter spilt a good amount. The price 205 !!! Seriously I got hustled. The coffee was waaay too small and not even good. Can't believe starbucks has better value for money !!! Thieves, day light robbery.<br/>

Went on a Sunday afternoon. CCD was almost empty. Ordered a Mango Shot. It was very tiny but worth it. The place was neat and atmosphere was also good.

Nice to place have a cup of coffee after shopping in Express avenue mall.the outlet is small and crowded.cappuchino and belgian choco shot is good.

Visited this outlet during my week stay in chennai and sadly the worst cafe i have been in my entire life. We ordered cupcake and mocha choc cold coffee.The mocha choc cold  coffee and was extremely sweet to my liking and the cupcake was stale and totally not fresh.They had only 2 miserable looking foreign workers who couldn't speak much english and when we addressed the cupcake issue they were busy taking photos of the cupcake and showed us the frozen package of the cupcake.A total bummer cafe i would say ! Please maintain your standards.

My review is about the outlet in 1st floor. <br/>Too bad an experience at Ccd. <br/>1. Very poor service<br/>2. The staff were busy with mobile phones that they neither took order properly nor cared to listen.<br/>3. Air conditioner was not working <br/>4. I had to wait for about 30mins, only to find out they forgot to prepare my order.<br/>

This branch is located in express avenue.<br/>The normal Ccd taste💕 good service 💕 The ambience is neat 💕 <br/><br/>We had the Devils own with whipped cream + chocolate ice cream + cookie 💕 It was really good 🙌☺️<br/><br/>Only thing that was different was that they served it in plastic cups instead of the normals glass ones 🙄 <br/><br/>The bill came up to ₹450 for both 😁

Another one of the ccd's lousiest outlet but to make it more special the service was absolutely bad.. <br/><br/>went to this open cafe and placed my order.. got the bill only upon insisting that i need the bill.. i dunno why hesitate to give the bill with the order.. <br/><br/>after 30 mins of ordering, we were the only ppl there.. when asked abt wat happened to the order, one of the 2 guys there asked us to wait as he was busy over his phone..then he casually calls us wat we wanted to order.. 😐 5 mins after we said we had already placed the order, the person who took our order enquired if we had not received anything at all.. 😰<br/><br/>seriously..? of the 2 customers u have at a time, how can someone even forget if they had served them or not.. absolutely pathetic.. <br/><br/>apart from the hot chocolate which was good, i've had better garlic bread in other outlets.. and the paneer sandwich was absolutely worst.. there was no filling in it and it had no sauce in it and was bitter as well.. 500 bucks for all these? i think i know better places to spend money on.

Visited this while we booked tickets for a show in Escape cinemas and had ample time for it. Coffee day... The place we can have great brownies... i luv brownie there... we three went there just to have a cup of cappuccino... but as always we cant control our taste buds. Closed it with couple of brownies. Nothing much about service. Overall the food they serve is decent..

The usual cafe coffee day with decent ambience, staff and service. At times they don't have all the stuff in the menu. The food tastes ok and nothing exclusive to talk about.

I've been wanting to visit this branch for sometime and yesterday when I was around this place I decided to go for it. This has to be the smallest CCD and it took quite some time to get a seat. I ordered the cappuccino and it was served to me in about 10 mins. The cappuccino was not that good which was a surprise to me as generally cappuccino across other ccd outlets are good.

Happened to be in this place after a movie in EA.<br/><br/>The ambience wasn't that great as it was highly crowded.<br/><br/>Seats aren't customer friendly as it looks congested.

I just love the dark passion which they give here... and also the choco hola.... hope they continue the 50% off... but the samosa or water bottle is dam worst... The samosa is not even worth for 1 rupee.. and the water tastes like cooperation water..

Always like to have Espresso after a sleep or tight schedule and ,When ever in shopping spree in Express Avenue Mall must take an espresso in CCD but only poor thing they have , They never serve in Cups and i really do not like the paper cup with hot coffee,<br/>Looking for a cafe in Express Avenue to serve coffee in cups.

Had come to EA along and wanted to drop in for a cup of coffee and some snacks. Had a few portions garlic bread, hazelnut coffee and capachino. The garlic bread was beautiful as was the coffees. But then the place is cramped which is understandable considering its in a mall. Sorry no time to take pics.

Of course we need a cup of coffee to sooth our tired senses after shopping to refresh them. Especially when you are with your about-to-get-married cousin with whom you have come shopping. You have lots to talk, discuss about and there is literally no time to catch up. Well that's when the CCD that is in the Express Avenue Mall in the second floor was of a great help to us.<br/><br/>We had to drink coffee to shake off our tiredness and bounce back on our feet to go shopping again. At the same time we had lots to catch up. Seeing the CCD was redemption at that time. It was a win-win situation, except that there was just a "win".<br/><br/>Ordered for regular cappuccinos and desperately tried to make conversation with her over annoyingly loud and blaring Bollywood party songs. Literally had to shout instead of speaking. Growing tired with it, asked them to lower it down. There was also a TV in the distance on mute where poor, soundless Justin Timberlake was trying desperately to sing. Sorry mate! The TV was on mute. Not your fault. 😂😅<br/><br/>The cappuccino was the usual. Instead of cream I opted for chocolate sauce. Nothing much to talk about it but it did it's work. Our senses started working and with that the bouncing back also happened!

CCD which is located near the theatre was over crowded. We managed to find a table for two. I couldn't understand..how a coffee shop situated in a mall...fails to give bills to their customers. All that we ordered was a devil's own cold coffee and a crunchy frappe with chocolate sauce as topping and the shocking part was the bill amount. The staff said its was ₹538. When I asked for the bill, he said tat he will give me when I leave after having my coffee. When I asked for the bill again while leaving, he casually said tat the bill machine is not working & I can't get the bill. Instead he said he will show me the bill through there computer. When he showed the same, it displayed only my order and the quantity and not the price !!! When I argued...he went aside & another staff intervened. Since the person accompanied me..doesn't want me to argue..we left the place after paying the amount. Such a disgusting act by CCD and their staffs. Will never go for tat CCD outlet again.

It's a small and a compact ccd. Go there if you are meeting someone in EA. Taste wise, the coffees and the pastries are good. But not the best. Good place to spend some time.

Went on a very special day and had a choco truffle cake....which which soooo good....<br/>have gone there 2-3 times after that especially for that choco truffle cake...would like to go there many times....

Came here with a good friend. We ordered a café americano and an Irish coffee.<br/><br/>Café americano had the caramel flavor and was topped with whipped cream, was a delight.<br/><br/>Irish coffee, whooo too damn concentrated coffee. Like espresso. Most of us Indians won't like its bitter taste. But apart from that if you managed to sip it full, its the refreshment, too damn magical.<br/>Try it not for the taste but for the feel...

Well a quick stop for refreshments in between shopping. This particular CCD lacks space and hence the comfy cushions that we usually find in other ccd's are missing.<br/>Me and my friend ordered for rasmalai smoothie and the chocolate cake. The smoothie was good. The chocolate cake was not good. It was very powdery and tasted weird.<br/>

Beware of Cafe Coffee Day (EA Mall 3rd floor) - Cheaters!!<br/><br/>I ordered for a Spinach Corn Sandwich (costs around Rs.99) at CCD in EA mall on top floor right opposite to Escape Cinemas. The guy at the counter repeated my order to the person who prepares the sandwich and asked me to pay around Rs.200. <br/><br/>When I asked him to show the bill he said there's a problem with the printer. I asked for the break up of the bill, he hesitantly showed me the billing screen in his monitor. There were 2 items in the bill.. Item 1: Sandwich. Item 2: Extra Cheese which I never asked for and it was also not told to the guy who prepares the sandwich.<br/><br/>I argued regarding this and he said customers normally order spinach corn sandwich with extra cheese. When I asked him to give me just what I ordered for, he finally asked me to pay Rs.99 + taxes.<br/><br/>This is a pretty cheap strategy to rob customers and I guess this might be happening in many other places as well.

Had tried the ras malai flavor of frappe with cream and it is extremely good and a must try. Service is as u get in any coffee day and can spend special time in our own world with tat ambience. Early for a movie or wanted to have a coffee later on EA. Then this is the best place.

Nothing really great to write about this place. I have my office at Express Avenue Chambers and whenever I am feeling bored at work or want to take a sip, I prefer coming down to the first floor CCD. The coffee vending machine at my office which incidently is also provided by Coffee Day, never excites me. I also would not prefer to join my colleagues for a smoke and tea at the road side chai wala. That leaves me with just this. They should have larger tables and more comfortable seats. Well, considering the space, they can't afford to have larger ones. At least some seats with cushions is a must. I had their smoked chicken sandwich with cheese which was good along with choco frappe.

Taste : 3/5 ; Ambiance : 4/5 ; Service : 3.5/5 ; VFM : 3/5<br/><br/>The CCD on the first floor of EA is the place you got to visit after a busy day of shopping at EA...this place is pretty secluded...less crowded comparing all other eat outs in EA and you can spend some peace full time here...<br/><br/>Parking : Its in a mall so no problem...<br/><br/>Ambiance : The most peaceful eatout inside EA...To seat around 20 PAX..perfectly cooled and well maintained...<br/><br/>Service : Good and efficient....<br/><br/>Taste : Not consistent..visited this place 5-6 times...the usual items are devil's own..corn sandwich..brownie..cappuccino and latte..the taste of coffee's and cold coffee's was not consistent different all the time...some times good and sometimes average..never great comparing other CCD's <br/><br/>Value for Money : Though the problem with food served here..i prefer this outlet for their ambiance and peaceful atmosphere....

Taste : 3.5/5 ; Ambiance : 3/5 ; Service : 3.5/5 ; VFM : 3/5<br/><br/>CCD located inside EA on the third floor is the place i go to when am early for a movie at escape...since its located right opposite to the theater and quite nearby have no problems in getting delayed or anything like that...<br/><br/>Parking : Its inside a mall...so no problems in parking....<br/><br/>Ambiance : To seat around 20 people...its a open eatout...clubbed with the food court and right next to the walk way which might get uncomfortable for a few people...since its an open area the A/C is not that effective....<br/><br/>Service : Pretty good...less waiting time...only once i had to wait a bit more as the guy at the counter was new and had difficulty in billing...other than that no problems...<br/><br/>Taste : Have mostly had sandwiches, pastries and my favorite devil's own...the taste is as a typical CCD outlet...the preparation of items is good..no problems whatsoever...<br/><br/>Value for Money : The only problem i feel at this particular outlet is the open outlet...few people might find it awkward as many people pass through the area..other than this its a perfect waiting place for those have time left for the movie...

I have been to my share of CCDs and this one to me was one of the better ones. The service was good, the staff were friendly, and the sandwiches were good.

Seriously I would be really happy to give a negetive rating for this perticular outlet of CCD. They surved me atleast 2 days old sandwitch. I was a regular customer of CCD IIT MADRAS outlet, they never did things like that. The quantity of their cafe frappe was really large and this place didn't served even half of it.

If you are a sandwich fan. You MUST try the Smoked Chicken Sandwich here. Its just melt in the mouth, delicious. So don't blame me if you end up falling in love with it and ask for another.<br/>Its this perfect sandwich that's filled with the right amount of chicken and veggies and tastes Flabergastingly Delicious. I'm amazed as to how they manage getting the proportion of chicken to veggies right every single time. A little more of this or a little less of that would totally just change that flavour, but time and again these guys just manage hitting it spot on.<br/>Truth be said, I till date haven't had a better sandwich than this at any place I've been to in India. Its just so darn good.<br/>Just like when, Anton Ego bites into his Ratatouille served by the lil chef, and gets transformed into a little boy. Each bite of this sandwich takes you to a different world. <br/>Ooook, so before I start drooling on my keyboard and start yearning for another one of those amazing sandwiches I'll let you guys go grab yourselves one and see if you experience the roller coaster too.... ;-)<br/>P.S: For you guys who dont know Anton Ego, he's from the movie "Ratatouille" which is a must watch if you haven't already gotten to it.

After a long, hard day's shopping, I wanted to rest my feet very badly.. Found this small outlet, plonked myself on one of the few chairs for a while and went to the counter to order a round of drinks.. It was cafe frappe for my mom and green apple soda for me. The man at the counter asked if I'd like mint flavor in my soda and without a thought I said yes.. After a 5-minute wait our drinks were ready. <br/><br/>The frappe was good. good consistency, right amount of sugar and perfectly chilled.. Coming to the green apple soda, it was mehhh.... Watered down, too much ice and lacking the punch.. At INR 95 + tax, we expect a good drink.. And the outrageous thing was, two mint tablets were added to the drink (at extra 17 Rs)  for the flavor.. Now, is it that difficult to find a sprig of mint, crush it and add it to the soda for a burst of authentic flavor?? That would have cost less than a rupee.. The sad part is, the mint tablets did not dissolve at all till the end..So there was no mint flavor.. I carried the glass around even after I had finished my drink, just to see, when the tablets disslove in the ice.. That never happened.. <br/><br/>CCD, you've been around so long that you guys no longer seem to care about quality, service and VFM.. Time to introspect and redeem yourself.

This place has nice ambience. Service is pretty quicker. I went there with my lover and we really enjoyed it! Coffee is just fantastic, no comments. Even though I'm not a big fan of Coffees. The decor is good. I think this place is the best for couples looking out for a cup of coffee! This is the first time I'm visiting this CCD.

Normal CCD outlet. Not that spacious still normal CCD hospitality.<br/>Tip:Try Choco Brownies

Cafe Coffee Day is always my favorite for many different reasons, Their tag line tells all, "A lot can happen over a cup of Coffee". Certainly a lot happened for me as well. :) <br/><br/>Though I prefer more to visit CCD lounge, but I couldn't resist to head in to this CCD outlet in ever crowded Express Avenue Mall. It's a very small place, with something around strength of 15 seats or so. <br/><br/>I opted for my ever favorite Sizzling Brownie, but they said they don't have a Hot Wood Plate..!! "Are you kidding me!!!!""" Yea, my reaction was something kind of that. It was really disappointing. :( <br/>I had to end up with some not so great Choco brownie, Devil's own and refreshing Green Apple Soda. But honestly I was not at all pleased, apart from Green Apple soda nothing moved me much. Devil's own was no where near to its own mark. I don't know why, but the whole thing seemed below the standard, even the stuffs looked not so efficient. <br/><br/>Now a days CCD has expanded their business a lot, they can be found in almost every area. But certainly they are loosing their standard I must say. And this particular joint is a perfect example of that. :( <br/><br/>Hope they will take this things seriously and throttle up their quality parallel to their business.<br/><br/>Final verdict : Don't judge them by their name value. As I am not going to head in blindly without thinking about the quality.<br/> I would surely try other Coffee stops around if they keep this level of quality. <br/><br/>[ Disclaimer : I am not coercing anybody, these are my own experience and opinions ]

A good place to be. I have been here a number of times. I like the devil's own cold coffee also their cuppacino. Chicken sandwich , spinach and corn sandwich is good too. The chocolate shot is good but the mango one didn't appeal that much to me. Sizzling brownie with ice-cream is one of my favorites here. <br/><br/>But I had bad experience too once here, at their top floor outlet. The lemon iced tea served was absolutely tasteless water. Though I never faced this again here at this 1st floor outlet. <br/><br/>A bit expensive on your pocket, all the cold coffes and items are, but good to taste.
