Review Maharaja Restaurant - Chennai (Madras)

During my recent trip to chennai, i made it a point to check out various different food options for all the days that i was there. This was during the second morning, we got up early to catch the sunrise at the Marina beach and we were welcomed to the cloudy gloomy rainy weather and no sun was even visible. In order to make it up for this disappointment, we searched for the best breakfast options available near marina beached and zeroed in on SVR Sangeetha which was less than 1km from beach at Triplicane. We reached around 7pm and being a working day(it was Monday), there was literally no crowd at that time. We had a minor hiccup when one waitor was trying to get us to sit us 5 in a table that only 4 could sit and when we asked for the front table that had 6 member table and he said it was reserved. We were surprised to hear it was reserved at 7am when the entire place was empty but the main waitor came and told that it was perfectly fine to sit there. With the sitting areangement issue resolved we ordered the food options. We went for Puri masala, rava dosa, ghee roast, sambar idli. Service was quite fast and we ended the with filter coffee and tea. Food was tasty and especially the chutneys and sambar requires a special mention. The service was also quite good and fast. Overall an amazing experience. Definitely a good place for anyone to get an authentic tamil breakfast experience.

Visited yesterday, Food taste was awesome. It's a big treat for vegetarian lovers. Always crowded area. Service is too bad, have to focus on it. Ordered idly first that is also received after 18mins. That much lazy service. Plan food at one time, then only you will receive one by one at prompt timing.

Good food, full AC restaurant, fast service.

Very good restaurant near to marina Beach and triplicane parthasarthy temple the taste of foods is really good also the quality and quantity they also have good courteous service available. We ordered 80+ meals with them today they arranged it really well for the wedding tasted really good. All enjoyed it special thanks to the team for their efforts and service.

Clean. Food quality good. Now a days service has improved. AC is good. Better avoid table serviced by one or two aged servers. They treat u as a sort of nuisance, may be they are bored to have served lot repeatedly. Overall, recommended, good.

The food was very tasty, the service excellent. I had visited during the lunch time. The place was full but they not only managed to find us seats but also we got our order within very less time compared to other restaurants. The staff were polite and were managing everything excellently. I was really impressed how they managed everything in that crowd.

Excellent food. I was thoroughly impressed. It took a little time for it to arrive. However the staff were attentive and did all with a smile. Very busy and accommodating! Will visit again. Very reasonable prices too!

Nice atmosphere and ambience. Food quality is really good and it's pure vegetarian. Very spacious and AC running in good condition.

A very nice place to have veg food with moderate price. Filter coffee is the must try. Mini meals and mini tiffin are economic any very full.

April 30th i went MA chidambaram stadium chepauk, IPL this hotel is near by stadium in hurry me nd my frndz had a good lunch and ice cream 🧡

Decent Vegetarian restaurant in triplicane. Serves varieties of North Indian and South Indian food. I personally had a vegetarian meals which cost Rs. 130. Decent ambience. May have to wait for seats if you visit in peak lunch hours.

Excellent Restaurant. But you need time to have your food.
