Review The Hideout Bistro - Chennai (Madras)

An awesome place to hang out in Anna Nagar. The only downside to the hideout bistro is that there is no parking available. However, the food is simply amazing, the price is quite reasonable too. Have to say, I'm extremely pleased with the food, service and ambience. I especially liked their pancakes and waffles. They serve excellent potato wedges too.

So we decided to go here on a Sunday for brunch. On Sundays it opens at 9 AM and on other days it opens at 11 AM. Once you enter you get a feeling as if you're in the house of a friend because that's the kind of atmosphere that exists here. It's fairly silent, they've got ludo, uno nad monopoly which should keep you busy until your food arrives. The starters were amazing, you've got a decent list and the names they've chosen for the dishes are pretty unique. So many pop culture references were there in the menu, for instance there was a dish called green lantern and another was named after minions since it was a banana based drink. It was really refreshing to see something so unique and awesome in the menu for a change. Pizzas were great, so were the pancakes I'm a vegetarian but most of my non vegetarian friends said the food was amazing. This is also a great place to click some good pictures. Fantastic lighting inside the restaurant and it's even better when you step outside. Highly recommended for everyone, had a blast here.

Good ambience. Friendly staff and atmosphere. Had ordered the chicken tocadero and noodle and beef steak. Both were really nice. The steak was not too dry, the sauce was great. They also have an outdoor seating area. Good for family and outing with friends. :)

Choco chip pancakes -was so delicious , i just loved it. The choco chips were crispy and the panckes texture was perfect . Strawberry brainfreezer - had too much of ice crushes than the juice . But tasted good ..🍹 Pesto paste ( penne ) - tasted good 🍲 Lets nachos - nachos with cream cheese and salsa topping was good . 💃 Cheesy fries - quantity was good and was cheesy cheesy 😍🍟 Banana pancakes with vanilla ice cream and dressed with salted caramel . It was simply wow. I loved it . Customer service is really good and looked after very well . Ambience was good . Especially to hangout with frnds. Cost - it was cheap when compared to other places . For each it might cost around rs 300 to 400rs .

I've been to this place 2-3 times. Good place. The ambience is simply great. It's a house converted to a bistro. Food is good and priced at reasonable rates. The service is quite poor as there are less people to serve. Most of the time, customers are left to wait after ordering. There is no parking lot structure as such. Ample space is available to sit. Both inside and outside eating is possible. Good place to catch up with long time friends, family, get togethers and dates.

The Hideout Bistro is located in Anna Nagar. Ambience of the this place is pretty amazing with cozy lights and a beautiful backyard seating area. The backyard alley, they stream IPL matches, celebrate birthday parties, private events etc. This place has a wide range of menu from soups, burgers, pizzas, fries and desserts. Overall this place is a perfect place for group hangouts, romantic meetups etc.

The food here is absolutely amazing. Not to undermine the fact of the ambience. The food is worth the price that is paid for. Recommend this place to people for sure.

Oh definitely a vibe! Greaaaat food and the best in hospitality. Appreciate that the staff are such lovely hosts and experts in guiding with menu to customising it, the ambience is beautiful and chef knows what's the best. Would love to spend most Sundays here.

Celebrated my 10 year work anniversary with family here in Hide Out Bistro. One of the best places when you need to spend time with family and at the same time have Italian and American cuisine. The place is actually very calm and quite. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The downside is that they allow smoking in the garden open area. This is an area where children sometimes freak out but we can’t be there for long due to excessive smoking smell. May be H B can consider altering this arrangement.

Good food , simple and pleasant ambiance and good service. This place is a bit economical too when compared to other similar eatouts...

Nice place to visit with friends. Ambiance was good it was like an old Italian bristo set up. The L shaped seating was good for 5 ppl. They serve good Italian. Starters are very limited. Overall a highly recommended place of you want to go with your friends and have some good chat.

Good place, beautiful ambience. Ordered 2 dishes (Creamy Basil and Broccoli Pasta & The Green Grocer Burger) both were super. The burger is nothing like I have tasted before, too good. Staff was courteous.

Wonderful place to hangout with friends or loved ones, plenty of choices over menu! Reasonable price.

It's a House converted bistro. When I enter, I get a feeling as if I were into the house of my friend because that's the kind of atmosphere that exists here. The ambience here was nice and calm. They do have outdoor seating too.

Coming to the food, Dishes was neatly decorated and served. It was Good both at plate and palate. Loved them all I had except wasabi peas But some vegans might love it. P2 Chicken and tender coconut pannacotta are must-try and never miss out fish otak otak too. I don't like much fish foods but trust me this one was really amazing. Pizzas are average.

Spaghetti zucchini pesto and spaghetti chicken arabitta from pasta were great and really worth the shot. I'd really appreciate if they improve food portions, I find some dishes are in less quantity for it's price otherwise a Good spot to go. Service was good. Staffs are kind and responsive. Overall a nice place to hang out with your loved ones and friends.

In frame: P2chicken, Wasabi peas, Fish otak otak, Spicy chicken, Pizza ai fungi, spaghetti chicken arabitta, spaghetti zucchini pesto, tender coconut pannacotta, Nutella banana pizza and a scoop of strawberry ice cream.

Hideout bistro has the french colony feel to its interiors and wonderful staff ! Tried their vietnamese rice paper rolls which was a blast of freshness in your mouth followed by paprike chicken which was a bomb and also the kafir lime cheesecake which was the show stopper! Their pizza was decent too !

The starters were tasty and great looking, but main course looked good only on the plate and not on the palate. Friendly staff and thumbs up for the ambience

A place I’d love to visit again!

Ambience - 5/5
Food - 4/5
Service and staff - 5/5
Value for money - 5/5

Ambience:

I visited for dinner. Love the lighting and seating. Also they have outdoor dining space, which is cool. The blue theme just caught my eyes.

Food:

There’s nothing that I could say that turned me off. Everything was well done. Ordered Bon Chon chicken (5/5) for starters, Chicken Macaroni Alfredo (4/5), Papa Americano (4/5), Lime Chilli Lamb (5/5). Bon Chon Chicken was great. The pasta wasn’t out of the world but it still tasted good. The pizza was a thin-crust serving and topped generously. Loved the lime chilli lamb, it was served with rice and pickled vegetables. Also tried, Pink panther drink and it was pretty good.

Service and staff:

The service was quick and the staff were courteous. The place holds good value for money.

The Spicy Chicken 9" Pizza
⁣⁣⁣This crust was thin (topped with peri peri chicken, jalapenos and grilled tomatoes) and way too cheesy and yummy that it literally melted in the mouth.⁣⁣ But quantity was small for the price.

Shrimpy Grumpy
The prawns were big and deep-fried. Again the quantity was less compared to the price.

Jamaican Fish
The taste of the fish was really good but they served 4 tiny pieces for Rs.280 which wasn't okay.

Mushroom and Cream Cheese Breakfast Sliders
Two tiny burgers with mushroom filling inside served along with French fries. The pricing and taste was good.

Creamy Basil and Brocolli Pasta
The green sauce pasta was served along with two pieces of garlic bread. It tasted quite differently and was okay for the price.

The Hideout Bistro is a feel good cafe which has sprouted up quietly in a little by lane of Anna Nagar. The place is all well lit up and infuses a youthful and zany atmosphere. Apart from the seating arrangements on the inside they also have a lovely open space on the outside which is just perfect for get togethers.

They have been performing well for a couple of years now and having completed 2 years of service to the public, they are launching a new menu with lot's of extra items.

We tried quite a lot of their stuff and most of them hit the mark at a high radar. A veg spring rolls kind of starter termed three onion mushroom cigar was really delicious. And to support it was another one of a paneer version which was sprinked with layers of crumbs. This titled katafi cottage cheese was also soothing to the tongue.

There was another mushroom entree served in a small bowl which was amazingly flavoursome called Drunken soy mushroom. The tempuras were bit oily but really crispy. Another sterling veg dish was the vietnamese rice paper rolls. Wrapped in paper rolls they were filled with vehement flavours. And they also served some nice pita bread with a bowl full of beetroot mayo and babaganoush.

In the dessert section, we tried a shot at three of their items namely nutella chocolate brownie, mango topico pearls and kaffiy lime cheese cake. Each of them were smooth and mellow in their own way adding the fodder to melt in the mouth.

The service was quick and timely. There was also a music show happening at the background belting out delightful compositions from yesteryear which was an added plus one. If you're looking for a lovely chill out cafe to spend some easy laid back time, The Hideout Bistro points in all the right directions.

Too yum for italian foods

Looking for a interesting cafe for a evening dinner with my wife I landed at this place. The ambience is very subtle with soft slow misc playing in the background, which adds a lot to the mood.
Im a pure vegetarian, so I was a bit pessimistic, but this place surprised me. I ordered Cheesy enough nachos, the cheese mix recipe with salsa and nachos was yummy. The other food which we ordered were adios amigos pizza and a mix veg risotto, and none of them disappointed us , instead it was very delicious that we would like to come back here again. I felt the pricing is very reasonable and does more than the justice for the quality of food you serve Just a bit confused as why you don't have ketchup available. Awesome evening spent here. Thank you.
Food Breeze
I only had red velvet Nutella shake and it was not as good. The shake was flowy and not thick. The taste wasn't great either.

Also this cafe is hard to notice, goes with their name, i suppose.

The interiors are comfortable, couch, low furniture and comfortable chairs.

I am visiting here again to try more from the menu.

I enjoyed the place with my friends. Had a great time after exams. Food was good. Chicken wings was perfect. Fries served hot and crispy. The pizza was quite good. Lasagna was amazing. The chicken in lasagna is well cooked.
Went here for lunch on a friend’s birthday. Pretty cafe with adorable lights and seating. We ordered virgin mojito, chicken lasagna, bbq wings and some waffles(instead of cake). The chicken was good but lacked flavours but had generous amount of chicken in it. Virgin mojito was great and the bbq wings were absolutely delicious. The waffles with powdered sugar and chocolate was good, with perfect texture not too crispy or soggy. Thé service was good and thé place was pretty empty.

It was an awesome experience celebrating my boo's birthday there. Staffs were so kind and good. Karthi made that event go so well. The food was really good. Best place to do surprise events. Thanks karthi for giving us such a wonderful day

Don’t order prawn, it wasn’t fresh and i’ve had health issues for couple of days. Pasta is good.

Located at the heart of Anna nagar! This place has a very great and pleasant ambience. Selective dishes that we ordered tasted great I wouldn't suggest pizza here because the crust was extremely thin and hard too! Shakes , fries, pasta tasted good.

I went here really long time ago. The place was calm and surrounded by nature. I ordered mac n cheese and tempura prawns. Loved the tempura prawns. Tasted delicious and crispy. The Mac n cheese was a little dissapointing. Good ambience. Will definitely visit again to try out more.

Tried the New Yorker burger after few recommendations and it was yummy but it wasn’t served with the beet root bun as promised, was looking forward to it.
The streak was deeply disappointing , very small and was already sliced/cut into pieces . Not recommended.
Nachos was average.
The apple crumble, only dessert which was eggless for a vegetarian friend was too sweet, will not order again.
Rose soda is just paneer soda but refreshing for the summer

Maybe next time might try other things from the menu.
Place is very chill and comfortable to hangout with friends

The two star less is because they are in zomato gold but didn't accept our zomato gold saying there is some technical difficulties , this was extremely bad , apart from that the food was good , not much crowd but overall the food selection and preparation was good , AC was not switched on properly in our enterace portion which again made us sweat, this was unacceptable !

Stumbled on this lovely cafe by accident. Nice ambience and a huge outdoor seating . Started off with a litchi flavoured coconut water. A first for me and very refreshing. The garlic cheesy bread was just right an fresh .Next came the star of the evening the toasted quinoa with poached pear an glazed walnut salad which was amazing.,
Mains were veg au gratin an a Mexican pizza Both quite good. Dessert was an orange flavoured mousse served in a jar which was ok.

HOB covers all areas very well gud ambiance, great service and yummy food... Went Ter with a non chicken person so our options wer bit limited..

Shrimpy grumpy ₹279, prawn bajji with continental twist and we like it very much, perfectly cooked prawns and crispy outer cover with peri-peri made tiz dish finger licking gud 4.5/5...

England's fav ₹229, basically fish n chips... Basa fish was used and tasted fresh n very gud.. by d look felt both tiz n shrimpy will taste similar but it wasn't so .. only complaint will be size of the fish fingers it was big sized than normal.. due to over size dint had d crispness.. 4/5...

Egg plant parmigiana ₹289, start dish of the day and a must try one... Layers of bread and egg plant plant topped with salsa, cream and overloaded with cheese served in a pan... Dish was bit similar to lasagna.. taste was heavenly.... 5/5 ...

Iced tea (peach) ₹129, this was a disaster dint get peach flavour and tea flavour dominated heavily and drink bitter.... 1/5...

Overall it was a good evng spent with some gr8 food .. VFM - Zomato gold came in bit handy...

Very nicely made up decor, but the lighting was not on since we went sometime in the afternoon. The starter we had was Dynamite Potato, which tasted really well. It had nice flavours.
Pink Panther was the drink which was made of lemon juice and cranberry. The taste was good however the quantity could have been a little more for the price.
The EggPlant Parmigiana was a super hit. We really loved the cheesy taste of eggplant.
Adios Amigo was the usual thin crust pizza but with crushed nachos on the top.
Mushroom Three Way was a deconstructed type of mushroom in different forms, which was an interesting concept.
Mostly a place which caters many exclusive dishes to the non-vegetatians since most of the dishes on the menu looked that way. Since we were having vegetarian that day, maybe it was a mild let down.
We were also kind of disappointed that Zomato Gold was not available due to technical issues. This should have been posted on Zomato.
The service was very efficient
Overall it was a quiet and cozy place with a nice ambience.
Food- 3/5
Ambience and Service -4/5
Value for money- 3/5

This place was on my list for quite a long time and finally had a chance to experience. Best time for visit is after it gets dark. The Ambience is easily the Best thing about this place. Best suited to come as a couple or a group of friends. Ordered the Shrimpy Grumpy, Messy fingers, Chicken Lasagna which was a chicken wings dish and the Nutella bomb pancake.

Shrimpy Grumpy impressed me the most. Basically Shrimp Bajji😝. Wings were okayish. Lasagna was good but we couldn't finish by the time we had all of the rest of the dishes. We finished off with the Nutella Bomb pancake which didn't disappoint. It was served with ice cream and definitely was pleasing.

Food - Okay because of Messy fingers 3.8/5
VFM - 3/5 Use Zomato Gold! 😆
Ambience - Spectacular! 5/5

This is a local gem with fantastic atmosphere and food to match
A Quiet, chill spot for a casual brunch in the neighborhood. Food was pretty good, reasonably priced , welcoming staff and the crowd was sparse on a Saturday afternoon to have a good conversation.

(Note : few items in the review may be removed from the menu as it keeps getting changed once a while)

1) Kataifi cottage cheese : Kunafa style crispy rolls filled with paneer and served with jalapeño tartare. a very unique and different dish that you would love

2)Nutella bomb pancakes : Amazing pancakes stuffed with hot Nutella topped with Vannila Ice cream and chocolate sauce ❤️ Must try!

3) Kaffir lime and Ginger cheesecake : The cheesecake flavoured with kaffir lime on a base of ginger crumble like a inji marappa. This tasted fantastic

4)Jalapeño cheese pops : Cheese stuffed with jalapeño fried to crisp with mayo. definitely recommend it

5)Adios amigo : Twisted Mexican red base pizza topped with crushed nachos and veggies . Call it anything but pizza . This was more like nachos or some snack

6)Peri peri fries and Classic fries- Needs no explanation . A quick starter

7) Trio : Grilled cheese sandwich with three layers of cheese . Tripping on cheese 🧀

8) Paprika chicken wings : whiskey and smoked paprika glazed chicken wings served with blue cheese sauce

9) Noodles and steak : The noodles was really good and served with beef steak and salads . I’m glad they have included this in the new menu

10)Vegetable Au gratin - Sautéed veggies tossed in creamy white sauce topped with garlic cheese . It was excellent

11)Messy fingers : Spicy chicken wings tossed with garlic and chillis served with cheese dip

12)Nutella and banana pizza : The pizza and Nutella did not go together . This was terrible

13) Dense Chocolate Waffle - A breakfast dish with chocolate sauce or maple syrup. Wish it was a little more crispier

14)Peri peri Chicken Pizza - Super thin crust with perfect amount of cheese and chicken . What’s better than a pizza and good conversations

15)Penne primavera : pasta with the perfect amount of sauces and cheese that easily goes down . This is a fantastic dish which would be my go to order everytime

Drinks :

16)Unicorns secret portion- Vannila Milkshake supposed to be served with colours of unicorn which I guess was curated by a brewer who left . The one in this pic was topped with whipped cream

17)Sun stroke Remedy : Rose flavoured soda with lemon juice and mint . Just the Usual Paneer soda but loved it 👌🏻

18)Cold coffee - wasn’t to bitter or too sweet . The perfect coffee .Recommended

19)Oreo Shake - Most Recommended . This was classic

20)Coffee - The typical filter kaapi. Aroma 👌🏻

21)Ice tea - Best thirst quencher to accompany with the meal . Tried both peach and lemon ice tea and liked the former only 👌🏻

Also watch the World Cup live screening in their big screen 🏏
They have indoor as well as outdoor seating and the most spacious Dum spot with friends🚬

This place was on my list n finally went there last nite for dinner .
Its a home revamped into a lounge , seating is comfy , neat n nicely lit interiors

For appetizer we order the below

Cream of Broccoli Soup - the richness of cream n suttle flavor of broccoli , loved it

Let's Nacho - nothing wow about it . nacho with salsa n cheese spread .. The salsa n cheese could have been a bit more as it was too less in comparison to the nacho

Caesar Salad - fresh n crunchy bite from the lettuce , olives n croutons .

Main Course

Eggplant parmigiana - this avatar of aubergine was the hero of the nite .. The toasted bread layered with aubergine , tomato sauce n cheese . loved it to the core .. Sure to go back to eat this ..

Mixed veg risotto - after ages having a risotto . n this was just yumm .. The texture was creamy yet could get the bite of the veggies n rice .

Mushroom 3 ways - the concept of the dish was good , taste was fine , but found it to dry for our pallet . maybe instead of roasted potato , they could have done mashed potatoes wt herbs or maybe some kinda sauce as a dip to accompany .

Dessert

Pancake with caramalized banana - the pancakes were soft n fluffy , however the banana lacked the caramalized texture .. Was served with vanilla icecream

Warm Apple crumble - this melted my soul .. Lol . loved it .from thw caramel to the cookie crumble to the poached apple n vanilla ixecream . gng bk fr this again .

Overall a nice place to chill with good food which is reasonably priced .

Thank you Karthick for your humble n courteous service and for checking if we enjoyed the food ..

Bon Appetite 😋😋😋
Extremely poor service. Rude staff with no respect. Place has too many house flies. AC was not working properly. The waiters kept staring at us throughout the entire time. Food was average. Not worth the money. Ask your staff to be more polite if you want people to visit you often. The ambience is the only positive but thats not goimg to make me come back here.

Visited here for a Sunday lunch. The place is neatly done. Seating is interesting and neatly done. The waiters were attention. Drinking glass were not clean. When pointed, they changed without frisking. I ordered a meat plate and my friend ordered a pasta. Food’s taste was good. I will surely recommend for a relaxing cafe experience

The place serves very average food that is completely overpriced. The manager just stood next to us waiting for us to leave after we paid the cheque.

Wouldn’t recommend this place at all!

Great place to hangout , and the menu looks quite interesting.
We ordered Shepherd's Pie, Beef Lasagna and the Beef Steak
- The Shepherd's Pie was just alright , nothing too exciting about it. Would fill an average eater , but definitely not someone like me.
-The Beef Lasagna was the best in the segment ..it was soft , cheesy , the layers were lovely and quite a big portion too .
- The beef steak was an absolute disappointment. All they give you is four small cubes of beef with mashed potatoes and a few veggies.
It's quite tasty , but come on .. it's a steak .. the portion they serve could only fill a toddler :/

Overall Great ambience and tasty food . But the portions are quite the disappointment here and hence the 3 star.
For the quality and the quantity the restaurant serves....the prizes are not worthy at all. Unicorns secret potion is the worst ever shake I tasted yet. Spoilt India Pakistan game with its taste😥

The ambiance was nice table was set for 16 people.
The Jamaican fish was excellent starter and Hob chicken was really good. Lassange was ok but Spicy chicken pizza, Alfredo penne pasta and spaghetti was great. The breakfast slider was bit ok with scrambled egg. Order was bit delayed. They have a outdoor setup with projector for sports event. Price was nominal for such a setup

Where : Anna Nagar

Hide out bistro is a very peaceful place to hang out
We ordered peri peri fries , brain freeze blue curaçao juice , adios amigo pizza and pancake filled with banana topped with ice cream

Must try their peri peri fries and the blue curaçao juice

It is a nice and pleasant place to click good pictures

Ambience : 4.5/5
Food : 4/4
Price was reasonable

Great ambience and awesome food. The Alfredo pasta was a letdown, everything else was amazing!

The seating arrangement was a little confusing and awkward, maybe the management can take it up and work on it.
RAJA SEKAR
Nice place. They serve quality good. They got a L shaped seating which will be perfect for a gang of 5 or more. Food variety was also amazing. Choice of food was also good. Overall it is a recommended place in that surroundings. Italian food was the best here.

Their ambience is amazing, the food tastes as good as it looks. Fun place to hangout. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. we tried a lot of dishes, their beef lasagna was exemplary.

Its a Beautiful place. I've been there twice first time was with my friend and the latter was for a birthday party they even provide space to celebrate bday n other occasions for some minimal amount. Food was overall good but not the best. We had let's nachos , pasta arrabiata, the tex mex burger, pizza, hot chocolate. I din take much pics since we were in a rush

The restaurant was hard to find. You'd think it was a house. I didn't have much expectation for this place but this blew me. There wasn't a dish I ordered that I did not like. Everything was done with care. The price is easy on the pocket too.

Ambience - 4/5
Polite and friendly staff - 3.5/5
Service -3/5
Food taste - 3.5/5 Certain dishes are top class.
Loved the pizza, fries and burger whereas the steak and nachos needed some improvement to make it terrific.
Quantity is less for the price.
Overall good experience and some great food.
Staff can be more friendly and polite.

Visited this place for an early dinner during a weekend.. By the time v visited the tables were almost empty except a couple of it.. V asked for a table near entrance.. So v were told to wait for sometime and they arranged and gave us.. Service was gud.. There were outside seating also available..coming to the food

♦️Milo shake - This was kinda let down.. More of like chocolate milkshake.. Din even got a tinge of milo

♦️Redvelvet Nutella cake shake - This was pretty gud.. Got some cake chunks in it and tasted like Nutella too

♦️Minion shake - It was supposed to have peanut butter and banana taste.. But then this tasted like grinded peanuts to me.. Again not a fav one

♦️Hob chicken - This was chicken nuggets served wit mayannoise.. Tasted really gud

♦️Fish and chips - I personally felt there was too much of masala added.. But then frnds liked it

♦️Spicy chicken pizza - I was disappointed wit the drinks.. But then when this main course came.. V really hogged it.. It was a thin crust pizza perfectly made wit spicy chicken chunks and ample Amt of cheese

So ya if u really wanna sit comfortably and chat wit ur frnds and have some snacks to munch on.. This is a gud place.. They should really improve on their drinks menu tho.. But yaa the pizza compensated the drinks!!

This wasn’t the first time I visited this place but super glad I went again. I was on a diet so don’t come for me for ordering a salad 😅
I must say, even though it was a salad, it was unreal! It’s rare to find places which actually make good salads and this place was somewhere among the best. The best part of the place is the extremely helpful and understanding staff. They altered a menu on the item to tailor it to my needs which is something not many people would do. I do understand that not everyone likes cold black coffee so didn’t actually expect them to make it specially for me but they did and that was the highlight of my day. Thank you again for such wonderful service! The food here is super tasty, ambience is super fun and wait staff & chef are super super sweet!
A must visit and will definetly come again!

The place is alright. Food is not on par with the better bistros around. An ok place to spend a while. Nothing special about it. Sandwiches and burgers are ok.

Wifey & I landed up here for a relaxed lunch and were really pleased with the ambience, courteous staff and delicious food. Ordered New Yorker, Hideout chicken and Banana fritters. Cheers

We ordered fish n chips, a nutella brownie crepe, agli olio, white sauce pasta, mac and cheese.
The ambience was really good. All these were so delicious. The hospitality was really good. They treated us so well. A must visit.

It was a random shot! I was searching in zomato for a cafe with a zomato gold option and this restaurant caught me!

First about the ambience, it was well lit & spacious. It was decorated with a semi antique chandeliers which gave me a warm welcome. It wasn't a CSK day so I didn’t have d option to have a open space dining experience.

The second was about the food. I ordered a HOB chicken & Let’s nacho for starters and chicken Lasagne & a spicy chicken pizza. The starters and Lasagne tasted ok. But, the pizza was quite a disappointment.

Two starters plus pizza and a Lasagne with a zomato gold gave me a bill of Rs.800.
Food – 2.5/5
Ambience – 5/5
Service – 4/5

Overall, Tryable once!!

The Hideout Bistro is a very cute place. Fairly small and cozy.

The place is slightly expensive but it is very worth it. Used 2 Zomato Gold's here.

Starters ordered:
Dynamite Potato
HOB Chicken
Shrimpy Grumpy.
The starters were amazing. The Shrimpy Grumpy was the best of the lot. Perfectly cooked prawns with amazing sauce and loads of crunch. HOB Chicken had some very well marinated chicken that was succulent and had a very crispy outer. The Dynamite Potato tasted really good too!

Main Course:
Steak Tournedos (Medium Well Done)
Shepherd's Pie
Adios Amigo (Pizza)
The Steak was probably the best steak I've ever had. Opted for a side of fries and tangy tomato sauce. The beef was brilliant cooked. Wasn't very rubbery and was very soft. It was great expect for the quantity which was on the lesser side.
The Shepherd's Pie on the other hand was much more filling and tasted really good too. The minced lamb in the Pie was very nice.
The Pizza was a thin crust pizza with nachos and was what you'd expect.

Desserts:
Nutella Brownie Crepe
Carmelized Banana Crepe
Nutella Brownie Milkshake
Red Velvet Nutella Milkshake
Out of all the desserts, the Nutella Brownie Crepe was simply sumptuous. Once you reach the middle part of the tasty Crepe, you reach a core of yummy, smooth Nutella and alongwith the frosted sugar, it's truly a treat for your tummy which compels you to eat more

All in all, 3 starters, 3 Main Course items and 4 Dessert items cost us ₹2700 with 2 Zomato Gold's.
This place was truly an amazing culinary experience and the price is definitely worth it!

They have one of the best mozzarella cheese sticks I've tested till date. It is a must that every person who visits should taste. Messy Fingers and HOB are two of the best chicken dishes there. Spicy chicken pizza was ok but I expected more seeing the description in the menu. The carbonara pasta was great.
I've tasted the best beef lasagna for the second time and it was worth. If you are a person who likes cheese, it's the best place for you.
The best part of all was the ambience. It is a great place to watch matches with friends. They have offers on the day they telecast matches.
They had some confusion regarding the gold membership usage...which was resolved by customer support.Food is good and a good place to catch up with old friends.

Loved the ambiance. Great place for hangout. Decent continental food. Good taste.
There’s also an open space with a projector to enjoy a match with your buddies.

Also the washroom was neat and well maintained (if it needs to be told)
Liked it.

Found this place in the best cafes collection!
but i wasnt convinced with this place! the place is really nice. ambience is just amazing! the food isnt that great!
Even after using gold the price was a bit high!
special mention to the pancakes! the nutella bomb pancake was simply superb!
the pasta was good and cheesy nachos also tasted delicious! the pizza was very bad! the base wasnt proper at all. the chicken and tomatoes were a bit raw!
overall
food-2.5/5
ambience-4/5
cost-3/5

The ambience and the setting in The Hideout Bistro is beautiful. One thing that I found is that the quantity is very less and not worth the prices paid. Despite having a starter and a main course mostly all by myself, I was still hungry afterwards. I also found that my pasta was undercooked. Apart from these issues, I found the food to be quite tasty.

Place was calm and composed with well maintained ambience.Food was nice but can have view on quantity. Not too expensive, pricing were moderate enough and to describe about the food i had, nachos chicken was in correct texture, pasta the sauce could have been lil tangy and last but not least brownie with ice cream hey could have had sizzler in their menu.

The best place to hangout, Specially with your loved one... The food was amazing and had one of the best Pan Cakes in the world... The hot chocolate was also amazing... Perfect Ambience for a date.

It's one of those cute cafes in Anna Nagar with a quaint outdoor seating. However, I was disappointed with their food. Ordered a chicken ham, cheese and egg slider and this is what I got. A bun with a piece of cheese, ham and cheese on top. I'm sorry but this is not how sliders are made. Disappointed.

Great place, great service, great food !
The ambience is amazing, I recommend that you go at night. The hot chocolate and the pancakes are to die for !
Dynamite potato: Crispy cubes of potato tossed with Dynamite sauce. This was alright, wasn't worth the money though.
Price: ₹149

Jalapeno Cheese pops:
Cheese balls coated with bread crumbs and fried to a tempting gold. Strictly stay away from this one if you can't live with the guilt of gulping down balls of pure cheese and oil :P The dish sadly did not taste as great as it sounds or even looks. Jalapeno was nowhere to be found. Cheese being the only predominant flavour, quickly gets sickening and the dish, frankly boring. The flavour of the dip wasn't very intense either. The dish could have easily been improvised with a thicker layer of coating around the cheese or even just a little better seasoning.
Price: ₹169

Value for money: 3/5

Enjoyed a Friday family dinner here. It's a pretty house turned cafe. The ambience is really nice, with lights everywhere. Food is good too. We had peri peri fries, 2 steaks, shepherd's pie and beverages. Loved the shepherd's pie - it's aroma and the taste was great.
For the steak, we had reminded about the doneness of the meat to be well cooked. It didn't come out well cooked, but manageable.
It's a nice place to have a peaceful dinner. They even have an outer space, which is well lit too.

Ambience of great party with food equally good.
We ordered arabiata pasta, pizza, potato shots and cranberry iced tea. The pizza toped with nachos was great. Pasta tasted more like tomato sauce. Potato shots were ok. The iced tea was great. Overall a nice place to eat and hangout with friends.

As the name suggests, it's a Good hideout. The food is good as well. The waffles especially tasted really good with the nutty ganache. Overall, a Nice hangout.

The Hideout Bistro is a well designed cafe located at Anna Nagar. The interiors are really good, lighting is perfect. The staff are super friendly and chill. They also have an open space where they stream cricket and football matches. We can also use this space to conduct small parties or events. A lovely place. Good food. Can get better. This is one place ul want to go only a couple of times. Then it might get a little boring. We ordered roasted corn soup, peri peri chicken, fish n chips, hideout chicken and a shiek burger. Out of which except the hide out checken rest were all good.

Located at one of the most unexpected spots in Anna nagar, this is a very cute cafe opened recently with it’s well planned ambience.
A dinner at this place is such a delight as it has a cute backyard decorated with fairy lights which is a delightful sight.
Tried the mushroom toastidas,
The hideout Chicken tocadero ,
The creamy basil and broccoli pasta,
A Tex Mex burger along with a Back to school from the beverage section which is iced milo.
The mushroom toastidas were different and good as compared to the other dishes which were though really good just the usual.
But definitely a place doing justice to its ratings. :D

The ambience and staff are brilliant. The decor is very pretty and the whole atmosphere is very warm.
We tried the Eggs Benedict and it was yum but wasn't served in the way the menu described it. The sandwiches were good and steak was average. The portion quantity is less. The pancakes were decent but the waffles are not recommended at all. They were dry and hard and we ended up wasting the whole thing. The nutty ganache sauce was hardly there and the waffles was a big disappointment.

Superb place with very courteous service. The food is great. Ordered the Hearty Breakfast and it was perfectly plated with fresh fruits and nicely done eggs.

Good place, beautiful ambience. Ordered 2 dishes (Creamy Basil and Broccoli Pasta & The Green Grocer Burger) both were super. The burger is nothing like I have tasted before, too good. Staff was courteous.

Was here today with a few friends. The overall vibe of the place and ambience is pretty good. Helpful and courteous staff .

We ordered a waffle with chocolate syrup , jalapeño cheese pops, hot chocolate warm fudge chocolate Sunday and a couple of pizzas.

The pizzas were extremely good especially the quattro formaggi (four cheese pizza). The jalapeño cheese pops and the warm fudge chocolate Sunday were good too . The hot chocolate and the waffles ware a huge disappointment.

Overall good food but avoid the waffles and hot chocolate !!!
Definitely, a happy place to go for brunch, lunch or dinner...It is situated in a preferably calmer street of Anna Nagar. with its retro style ambiance and romantic lighting, it will take your heart and will put a beautiful smile on your face.
Last Saturday we went there for dinner and grabbed a corner to indulge in their ambiance and happy vibe.. it's not the only ambiance they also have a great menu to have some Italian food..
As that was a day for international Tea day and as per my research from Zomato reviews i knew what exactly i would love to have.." Hot Lemon Tea" which as a fab for me..instant mood lifter... we also tried "Minions love it" as it name itself justifies smoothie is of banana and peanut butter.. with was a sweet surprise for us. Had cream of chicken and cilantro soup which was nicely creamy and cheese..
Moving to starter we tried"Hob chicken", "cheese balls" which was as expected perfectly done.
For the main course, we tried both pasta and pizza from their menu " Alfredo pasta Non-veg" and "Peri Peri Pizza" which was also good..
To top everything we had their 'Brownie" and "Banana flitter with Ice cream" too...
Food: 4.8/5
Ambiance:5/5 (one of my fav place now)
Servicing: 5/5

hideout bistro is actually hidden in a small lane near chintamani signal but is easily locatable through zomato maps. we landed here on a saturday evening around 6.30pm. we were pleased by the ambience. it is a bunglow converted to a bistro and it has three separate rooms or seating areas. they have outdoor seating also which can be preferred during nights. but one drawback is that they dont have parking inside thr premises. coming to the food, we ordered a smoothie called minions love it which is banana peanut butter smoothie. it tasted good. starters consisted of cheese balls and peri peri chicken. then we got roasted corn soup which was really good in taste. for maincourse we got alfredo pasta with vegetables and veg pizza. the pasta had good amount of white sauce and was creamy with good amount of vegetables. pizza was ok, a decent one. for desserts we got caramalized banana fritters and choco almond brownie. both tasted good. i liked the banana dessert with icecream and thr brownie had too muxh of chocolate taste. on the whole a good evening spent with friends over a light dinner meal. will definitely go back to try their other items in the menu like waffles pancakes etc.

Tucked away in a quiet street off the busy Chintamani Signal in Anna Nagar ,The Hideout Bistro is truly an oasis of calm amidst the bustling city scape.
It is a residential house renovated beautifully to house a cute bistro complete with a huge, alfresco seating area which in this pleasant Chennai season had quite a few takers.
I loved the furnishings and the lighting fixtures, light bulbs suspended on coir ropes and birdcages converted to quirky chandeliers, shows attention to detail, kudos to the interior designer.
Coming to the menu,it comprises of Continental fare.
We started off with the Roasted Corn Soup which was a tad salty but still enjoyable on a chilly evening.
Next we had some Jalapeño Cheese Pops which were basically Cheese balls served with a spicy dip.
One bite of it did give out the oh so satisfactory cheesy strings which make the dish so popular.
We tried the Adios Amigo pizza which true to its name is Spanish inspired with the toppings of coloured bell peppers ,zucchini and sliced jalapeños adding texture and taste to an otherwise normal Cheese pizza.
I loved the super thin crust and the toppings complemented it well.
Vegetarian Alfredo Pasta with crunchy vegetables completed our main course.
I finished off my meal with Caramelized Banana Fritters which were served with a Caramel Sauce and Vanilla ice cream.
The contrast of the warm fritter to the cold ice cream creates a pleasurable taste sensation which leaves you wanting more
As it was International Tea Day(yesterday) ,I couldn't resist ordering a Hot Lemon Tea with honey which rounded off proceedings nicely.
The service was smooth and I loved the way the dishes were presented though one thing they could improve upon would be to include more vegetarian dishes in the menu.

It was a huge suprise for me....I had no idea that this place will have a ambience like this😍 the drinks were amazing....the tea and the shakes we had were too good....the soups were average....it was so salty🤔 my favourites were the pizzas and pastas....both veg and non veg pizzas are too good.....the desserts are average....the brownie was good though🖐️👌

Rating
Food: 7.5/10
Service: 8/10
Ambience: 8/10
Overall: 7.5/10
A really calm and a pleasant place. Love the decor. Simple yet beautiful. The music and ambience was more of a romantic touch. Loved the food and pretty reasonably priced. The open area sit out is ideal to enjoy a beautiful evening. Absolutely loved the place. !!
I'm writing this review as I'm still sitting in the restaurant. We came here for breakfast and the order took over an hour to come, half of the items on the breakfast platter didn't arrive and by the time it did we had lost our appetite. Pradeep our waiter only gave excuses and excuses and had no food to offer. Yes, the food was good but definitely not worth the wait.
We finally left with our stomachs half full and utterly disappointed.

The Hideout Bistro has really nice interiors. The seating was comfortable and the service was fast.

What we ate:
Classics Virgin Mojito- it came in a cute little mason jar and the drink was sweet and went well with the food.

Messy Fingers- This is one of their popular appetizers. The wings were crunchy and had a tangy taste and it went great with the dipping sauce.

The Tex-Mex burger- the burger was visually pleasing but incredibly hard to eat. It has a meat patty and three onion rings and some veggies. The taste was just okay and the bun was not able to hold the filling together.

Overall, not too pleased with the burger selection at this restaurant.

Ordered the Chicken Alfredo combo from this place. The quality was absolutely amazing. Pasta had good chunks of chicken and the flavour was delicious. French fries was decent, garlic bread could have been more toasted. Brownie was amazing as well. The overall Quantity was however less than expected.
Worth a try.

Good bistro in Annanagar. Wide choice of menu. Ordered Jalapeño poppers and it turned out to be good & more than adequate quantity. Hot lemon tea with honey was a wise choice. My friends Hob chicken was also a good choice.

From the items we ordered, the food here is just average. Service and the ambience is fine. Pricing is like most cafes. A casual spot for a quick meal.

The ambience is good. The food is not great. They had only 2 soup varieties. One veg one non veg. We ordered the veg one. It was 90 % water. Also tasted really bland. They offered us 10% discount on the bill cause we complained about the soup. This gesture is really appreciated. But at the end of the day people look for good quality food. So the discount doesn’t make up for the quality of food served.
