Review Kulfi Kola - Chennai (Madras)

Went twice had kulfi,ice cola and soup all were awesome. A compact shop with tasty things.perfect place to bring your doods to have a small treat scenarios.Chats like pani poori also there. Easily accessible a room main road. There is many kulfi shops here . But the taste and cost matters. Both are good here.

Love the creaminess ! Sometimes those discs are too frozen .. I give it couple of minutes to thaw to enjoy the creamy texture! Which is why we usually eat at home rather than at store.

Kulfi is bae. Call it bragging - I've tried all kinds from the Rs.2 kulfis (during 2004) that came on the streets till Rs.350 ones in top star restaurants. Being a Kulfi fanatic, I somehow do not find these authentic. That does not mean these taste bad.<br/><br/>Kulfi Kola is a small joint that offers two varieties of kulfis:<br/>Sticks - Rs. 30 each and<br/>Rolls (circle shaped ones) - Rs. 50 each<br/><br/>There's no difference in taste between the roll and stick if you are buying the same flavour. It's just a change in physical appearance. They taste creamy, flavoured and tastes like Kulfi. I like the flavour varieties. Look at the menu card image I've uploaded. <br/><br/>I went at 10.30pm to buy home few Kulfi Kolas and it had all the seats filled (6 adults and 3 kids). May be it's because of Sunday. So, don't expect to go there to find a corner for date or something. You won't find privacy. It's what they have advertised it to be - a takeaway place.<br/><br/>Flavour Varieties - 5/5<br/>Taste - 3.5/5<br/>Ambience - Neat enough for a takeaway<br/>Service - Staff could have been courteous but it's a one man show. He's servicing all day long since 11am so I understand he's tired.<br/>Packaging - 1/5. If you're running an ice cream shop as a takeaway, please have some packaging strategy. You can't shove those Kulfi Kolas into plastic covers and ask us to take home.<br/>Pricing - 2.5/5 The sticks for Rs.30 each aren't of the same length you get from Kwality brand. These are easily 5cm shorter. Should be Rs. 20. And the rolls are over priced. Just because there's no stick, doesn't mean you're giving us so much quantity. It looks smaller in size than you see those in the close-up pictures people are uploading. I'd pay those Rs.30.<br/><br/>A new start-up - I wish them good luck and will follow to see what changes they bring in for continuous improvement.<br/>
