Review Hot Breads - Chennai (Madras)

Hot Breads has gone to town with their Easter Eggs. Those eggs are humongous, unhealthy, fattening and Oh! so tasty! They have vegetarian options which is what I got. Freshly baked bread and pastries. Fresh filter coffee. They have a seating area. What a combo! The taste and quality is very good. Staff are friendly and courteous. They have cakes for all occasions. I got my daughter's Birthday cake from here. So good!

Excellent, tasty varieties. Their latest introduction "Sqizza" a mini version of pizza is amazingly tasty and gives you a tasty intro of tewulat pizza. Recommend every one to try it once. It worth the amount paid and easy to order and get, it is just off the counter.

I ordered the peppa pig birthday cake, was very happy with the taste and presentation of the cake. The service staff at adyar stall is so customer friendly and meticulous in ensuring the cake is made and delivered to ensure birthday baby is happy... Thank you so much Adyar team 🙏🙂🙂

Good bakery. But off late service is deteriorating. They don't heat the food like puff and bun unless you ask. But my experience was even worse. Bought 3 bun butter today (15th Oct) and specifically asked the sales person to heat it and pack. Went home and opened to find out it was cold. Never heated. Tried to call them and enquire. The sales guy became defensive and did not admit his mistake. He was repeatedly lieing that he heated it. But I can clearly see the coldness in the bun that was kept in AC room for hours. So un ethical guy. Atleast he could have admitted the mistake. How can I prove it was cold ? Should I take, all the half eaten pieces, to the bakery again and ask them to test? Should I check the ccctv footage to see if he had heated it ? Poor ethics of few employees here. MANAGEMENT PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS INCIDENT. I have been a loyal customer for hot breads since 2019. First time I am raising an issue................... Update- 16th Oct. Store Manager Mr K Sivaprakasam reached out to me today. Expressed his regret for what has happened. He took total responsibility to resolve the issue. I found his approach very professional. It is amazing to feel that Hot breads had taken the feedback seriously and did all that was possible to keep a customer Happy! Thank you Hotbreads.

I ordered for Chocolate Truffles Birthday cake through online and I expected it to be delivered on 14.11.23 from 5.00 to 10.p.m. It rained heavily on that day and I assumed that the cake was not delivered due to the heavy rains. The next day I fumed at the customer care person regarding the non-delivery of the cake, especially about money not refunded since I accepted that the delivery might not have been possible due to heavy rain. The customer care person, Mr. Bhaskar responded with great patience and clarified that the cake was supposed to be delivered only on 15.11.23 from 5 to 7 p. m. I apologized and requested him if he could deliver the cake by 10 a.m. on 15th. He agreed and kept up his word. I received the cake even ahead of the time, by 9.30 a.m. on 15th. The cake was really tasty and I take this chance to extend my appreciation to Mr. Bhaskar who responded to my calls patiently and expedited the delivery. He is really an asset to the Hot Breads Team. The moment I complained about the quality of the cake, they immediately obliged with another not one but two pieces. It was a pleasant surprise, and the staff were polite and well behaved and they seem to love the organisation and it's Boss Mr. Mahadevan

My birthday cake from Hot Breads at Gandhinagar , Adyar , was simply heavenly . It was so delectable with all the super soft , fresh cream as icing on the cake . The design of roses on the cake had been done so perfectly well , that it was a treat to the eyes and the tastebuds. Hats off to Mr. Siva for providing such an appetizing cake and to Hot Breads in Adyar, Chennai , for all their gastronomical and ambrosial delights .

Located in the heart of Adyar, this branch is an independent property with a spacious parking space and a sit out area. The variety includes assortment of breads, cookies, pastries and savouries. Our favorite are the sugar coated mini puff, spiced bread, croissants. This time tried their eggless famous Mawa cake and banana walnut slice.

They make lovely cakes. We have been visiting the bakery for several years.but last tome we purchased blueberry muffins and were very ☹️. They were very hard inside. So we decided to call it Ruffins 😀😀 Either the dough or the baking was defective. Hope they make it soft 😁

We recently ordered a chocolate truffle cake for a wedding reception. We gave a design keeping in mind the theme of the wedding and the interests of the bride and groom. Since the cake was for an important event, the way it looked mattered a lot.This is where we were let down. The colours did not match what we had asked for. The cake tasted average but since the cake was ordered for an event, the way it looked, especially the finishing, left us disappointed. The icing on the cake was extremely thick and came off the cake while cutting. This is particularly surprising since the manager and the chef showed great confidence in delivering the cake as expected when we placed the order. We also gave 4 days time to prepare the cake.<br/>We hope team Hot Breads takes this feedback in the right spirit and does a much better job going ahead. I wouldn’t recommend people to order customised cakes for important events.

Very disappointed with the cake , I ordered a chocolate truffle for my mother's birthday and we expected it to be really nice and chocolatey whereas it tasted like some local cake ... with some poor quality of cream over it , Not one bit worth Rs.550 , I wish I could get a REFUND for this !!!!<br/>Hot breads had such a good name before but now with the competition level so high I guess they are falling shot !!<br/>

Good place to have a small snack. They have everything from chat items like samosas to cakes like red velvet cake. The taste is not bad. The only issue is sometimes you feel that the Ambience is too dull.

I go there very often and I like their excellent service and good quality cakes and buns. Their cappuccino is also very good. Place to sit under a shade away from work-stress.

They called me and changed the pizza variant twice and after 1 hour delivered an ice cold pizza. Never again. Horrible experience. Never expected this from hot breads.

Been around for over 9 years with outdoor seating options only. <br/><br/>Order:- <br/><br/>Strawberry pie (₹70) - A Grainy, rough, mildly sweet piece of pie. Not the best and clearly not up to the standards they've maintained earlier but good. <br/><br/>Blueberry Cheese cake (₹85) - It's a crime to make anything than perfect cheese cakes. This one was just awfully wrong. There's supposed to be just two or three layers on a cheese cake and the main layer the best, thickest and soft. Terrible food! I literally had to spit out the cupcake I had consumed. I ended up with food poisoning the next day. Food quality is a must and they ought to know that. The taste is really really bad. The quality is really really bad. I have no damn clue how people are still eating there.

This outlet of Hot Breads is a very good place with regards to its seating area.. Has a spacious outdoor seating in a well maintained garden area. Service is quick as evey Hot Breads is ..

Went here because the cheese corn nuggets i ordered online from here was good..but apparently that is the only good thing here..the burger was below average and the vanilla milkshake was ok ok..

This is my favorite ❤️hangout spot, been going there for 12+ years. Yummy desserts, they made me put on weight LOL😂. They give it in the right size and correct flavor, which doesn't make one feel of having too much sweet.

Good place with outdoor seating. Limited options in the eggless items. Only wish they expand and make it a restaurant too given the place it has.

U walk past this compound and the bakery smell hold u for long. It is in a sprawling compound in Gandhi Nagar and looks like a central bakery unit. <br/><br/>The stuff displayed are yummy and a wide choice is available <br/><br/>The customer service - let me not comment about it.

They have the best plum cake in the city. A variety of birthday cakes. This place has outdoor seating as a result a very suitable place to chill out with a gang of friends. Even a small birthday cake celebration can be fun here. They make birthday cakes in 20mins or so.<br/><br/>Their chicken bun is my personal fav, along with their pizzas

Okay, I REALLY like Hot Breads as a brand. I have forever been a huge fan of their sandwich breads. And am happy to report that the quality is still as good as it used to be. I like this place not for any of its extra sweet offerings - pastries and the like. I am here solely for the breads, buns and snacks. <br/><br/>I got myself some saada muffins, a pack of sandwich bread, chilly chicken roll and the biggest discovery yet - butter buns! I liked all of it. But the best was the last. Butter buns were amaaaaazing. Yum yum! <br/><br/>The place is ultra small in terms of the actual bakery. But the sitting area is vast and well in the shade of the several trees in the compound. All in all, if want bread, go to hot breads.

After having a good experience with the T.nagar branch, I wanted to get a cake for my friend who was throwing a pre wedding party in animal kingdom.<br/>So I immediately searched in zomato for the adyar hotbreads number and gave them a ring.<br/>On the day of treat, thank god I had reached the place an hour earlier Cuz when I asked them for the cake, they weren't ready with one.<br/>They made me wait for an hour and then later I got the 1kg photo choco truffle cake.<br/>Must say! It was worth the wait..The cake was so soft and delicious!!<br/>When we were waiting there, we tried out the choco chip muffin , puffs and chocolate pyramid.. A bit expensive for a bakery, but the stuff served is really good. They did not have cakes ready made for display, but wait for 20 mins and they will make the cake of your choice fresh. <br/><br/>The cupcakes and other snack items i tried were also good. Staff are quick.

I wonder if people know about this amazing place at adyar ! Hot breads one of the oldest bakers on town .. Serves to their quality till now.. Located on a peaceful lane of adyar .. <br/><br/>Place: a huge place to dine in.. Such a peaceful surroundings .. The atmosphere is calm and inviting.<br/><br/>Food: whatever is there on the menu they serve it up to the best . Hot Breads is a legend of a bakery in Chennai. They're nowhere near where they once were though, and this outlet shows why.<br/><br/>The area is just huge. It's an old house with a huge outer area. Loads of trees makes the outdoor seating pleasant all day long.<br/>Tables have large umbrellas, and the whole ambiance could be just amazing. Sadly, there is an overall air of neglect everywhere.<br/><br/>There is a tiny shop which sells pastries, breads and assorted baked goods. The food is fantastic, but the service is markedly less than fantastic. Prices are cheaper than most high end bakeries.<br/><br/>It turns out the site is their main bakery, from where goods go out all over the city. However, by not making this a flagship restaurant, Hot Breads is missing a trick and a half.<br/><br/>Overall Conclusion: this much space and such good food, with so little done to develop it makes no sense. We hope the management wake up soon!

Place: Yay!<br/>Food and drinks: Nah :(<br/>If you are looking for a lovely place under white and red umbrellas beneath mango trees outside a traditional Adyar Bungalow, this is it! But, the food and coffee/drinks are a disappointment. I usually order the (machine made) coffee and nothing else. Friends have ordered other drinks and have been disappointed.<br/><br/>MOST IMPORTANT: Mosquitos! I apply mosquito cream/spray before going here! It gets insane in the evenings - mosquitos just kill you. Watch out!

have very fond memories of this place honestly not been to this place any time in recent past however their taste is still tingling in the taste buds,if it is bakery goodies one can trust Hot Breads blindly especially thsi adayar branch which has been a permanent haven for students from nearby colleges etc.Just Loved it

I cant miss it whenever I go to an Hot Breads outlet. They are outstanding.<br/><br/>Next is their Don pepe Margarita pizza. They are soft and cheesy to melt in your mouth.<br/><br/>Other items include heir fresh cream cakes which have always been very good.<br/><br/>Overall a good place .
