Best cupcake lover retreat! Really awesome space and amazing decors. There's even a few books to read while enjoying your cupcakes. Cupcakes are about 100~150 each. A bit costly but completely worth it.

If don't know what's love, come visit this place. It will show you a thing or too about it. Cuz no one can make cookies that good if there ain't no love. Just picture the diary milk silk ad. Now take out the diary milk and put a cookie in there. That's how you are gonna be if you try one of these cookies. The aroma! The texture! It's chewy inside and crunchy outside. I'm high on jus describing it. Darnnit! Now I need a cookie. And yes, the cupcakes are good as well. But yea, she had me at cookie.

Clueless in chennai is how I would rate myself when it comes to the city and the places that bake cupcakes. To cut the long story short,I had to order some cakes as a surprise for a friend in Chennai and Amore came to my rescue and in what grand style!I placed an online order without checking on the weather in Chennai! It was pouring in Chennai the day I wanted them to be delivered, but hey-rest assured when u place orders with Amore-they are meant to be delivered not to be cancelled:)Kavita and her staff did a fantastic job of ensuring that the cakes were delivered with no compromise to the experience or the taste. My friend absolutely loved the cakes.Thank you Kavita and Amore for doing what you people did.Thank you. PS:The online ordering was easy and the website is fairly easy to navigate

I had got chocolate cupcake and raspeberry chocolate cupcake. I tried it out for the first time and got it to celebrate the job offer. The chocolate taste was the highlight, but could be little more softer.
The cupcakes here are amazing. They have a variety of lip smacking flavours and customised cupcakes are available too. The ambience is very cozy and pleasant. The prefect spot to grab a book and read!

We ordered 16 cup cakes for our daughter's birthday and asked for a cup cake display stand (on a returnable basis for the display). A "Refundable deposit" of Rs 500 was taken against the stand which seemed fair.

As a first step towards disaster, the fondant lettering provided for the cup cake turned into one big mush thanks to a packing error. This entailed a 2nd run from OMR to Alwarpet to collect another set of fondant lettering.

After all the fuss, cup cakes were average at best and the mismatch between quality and price is a bit glaring!

The worst however was saved for last... when we made a 3rd trip to the blessed shop to return the cake stand and collect our deposit of Rs 500. They suddenly changed the terms and said that only only Rs 100 is returnable and Rs 400 is the rental charge on the stand. Wow! No mention of a rental when they gave us the stand!

Between over charging customers and dishonest business practices, this place is a total disappointment at every turn!

Well it was after a good lunch at my favourite fat boy , that I decided to go to Cupcakes Amore, for some dessert.
The staff and the ambience were very hospitable, and I don't know it was very easy to relate. We ordered two mousses, one with raspberry and one with dark chocolate. And it was blissful , the perfect consistency..it was a treat. Will definitely be back here.

I ordered cupcakes from Cupcakes Amore for my daughter's birthday, and they were a real hit. The kids loved them, as did the adults. Red velvet, Vanilla, and Chocolate Chip were all excellent. Highly recommended!

Hii Ordered for a Phad Thai Noodles take away. The food was cold and the portion was very less. It was over priced and not worth for 401 Inr . Even Main land china and Momogoto restaurants gives us good solid portions . never would suggest any one to try this place.

I kinda loved this place Coz it was well..Cute! It is small and the ambience is nice! They also have these books and magazines all around the shop! Coming to the food..the cupcakes tasted amazing...one of the best in the city!
Only thing is that they are a lil pricey! Other than that, it's a peaceful place where you could go to read that book you've been meaning to read for a long time with a delicious cupcake by you're side...! It's bliss!

Best place to hangout. Ambience is neat and small. Small is doesn't matter because I think it's enough place for hangout. Cupcakes are really awesome. I tried red velvet, sweet vanilla, pretty strawberry and lemon coconut. Lemon coconut disappointed me little and this price also little high. Remaining everything is awesome.

This is a place off ttk road . It's a small place with good interiors and a nice place to relax.

The taste of cupcakes is mixed; chocolate stuff is very good but some are challenging.

It's kind of place where the meeting ambience will add more value to the experience than the taste. A nice place to visit.

A very cute restaurant in Alwarpet, this place has a lovely ambiance, with nice chairs and sofas, books to read, etc. Very good place to hang out for a good, posh evening snack.

We just ordered 2 cupcakes- Red Velvet and Dark Chocolate. Dark Chocolate was good with the cake being very nicely made and the icing was also nice. But the Red Velvet was not so good, especially the cake. For beverages, we took Lemonade and Green Tea. The tea was very aromatic and tasted good. The Lemonade was just okay.

2 cupcakes and 2 basic beverages cost us ₹333. Costly and I don't feel the VFM is good.

Rainbow cake was the worst!! Felt like vomiting! Avoid this. Other varieties are average. Taste wasnt that good! Perhaps not my day or that it is generally like this cupcakes amore!

Visited this place today with a friend. It was easy to find, followed the directions in zomato. It shares its space with Tuk Tuk Asia.

We ordered a red velvet cupcake, monster cupcake and a bottled juice. Both the cakes were soft and moist, but I didn't like the frosting on both. The juice was good, there was no sugar added so it was less sweet.

The ambiance was comfy and the service was good. Bill was around Rs.370.

This is my first review on Zomato. I always use the app and mark places as "been there" but never felt the need to write a review. But cupcakesamore are life saviors🙌🙌🙆🙆 just ordered 20 cupcakes in a mad rush for my sister's birthday and they delivered as promised. Tad overpriced but i guess that's the added price for last minute planners 😅 satisfied with the prompt delivery and availability of cupcakes. Though they told me they cant customize on a whim cause they only customize on fondant base and not piping. Overall, pleased. 😄

Cupcake amore in Alwarpet shares it place with TukTuk Asia. It's located on the road next to benjarong.

Parking, there is enough for parking your car or bike in the front of the outlet itself.

Ambience: The outlet is very small when compared for having both the outlets together. Yet the ambience is very pleasing and very comfy it is inside for the hot weather outside in Chennai. They can accommodate 20 people easily.

What we order: double chocolate cupcake, red velvet cupcake, coffee and hot chocolate.

Both the cupcakes were soft and taste of them was really good. The cream on top was very sweet. The size was perfect for the price (₹90 each). Then we had hot chocolate and coffee. The sugar cubes were given separately for the coffee as well as for hot chocolate. The coffee was nice and the hot chocolate luckily didn't taste like mylo. The hot chocolate tasted much better than mylo!

Later we were served a donut and cookie as compliment. Cinnamon sugar filled donut and chewy choco chip cookie. I liked the donut more than the cookie. The filling inside and sugar powder on top made it tastier and reminded me of cream donut in Satyam. On the other hand the cookie was little hard and which made it taste average after having the donut.

Service: SELF SERVICE. But they came to our table to give the coffee and hot chocolate. So nice of them to do that. Also need to thank them for giving us compliments.

Cost: the price is not high and worth each item what you have here. Every penny matters.

Important thing about them is that they don't cold beverages other than packed drinks.

One nice place to hangout with you girl and have a wonderful time.

My rating would be 4/5.

My dad gets me a box (which consists of 12 assorted cupcakes) from here every week and its been an absolute bliss. The quality of cupcakes is top notch. My favourite being the Red Velvet Cupcake which is pure KickAss. A must visit for all Cupcake Lovers!!

Location & Parking: I am still a bit confused about the location but just follow the maps and you shouldn’t have trouble. There is ample parking space.

Ambience: It’s a small and simple cafe kinda setup. They share their space with Tuk Tuk Asia. The cake just glitters and invites as you enter the place.

Taste & Variety: Their cake menu is vast as well as they keep changing their special and premium cakes menu at a regular interval. The varieties are ample and besides cakes they also have cookies, other desserts, sandwiches, etc. It was a take-away so grabbed four cupcakes - Red Velvet, Pretty Strawberry, Sweet Vanilla and Double Chocolate Cupcake. That Red Velvet just melts in mouth and leaves you to scream for more; one of the best cupcake for sure. Not a fan of strawberry frosting but the vanilla cake was spot on, soft and delicious. The sweet vanilla with vanilla frosting is also delicious. The double chocolate cupcake with cream filler inside the cupcake was yum but the fondue kinda coating on the top of the cupcake wasn’t great.

Quality & Quantity: Quality is just to die for and would make you come back for another visit. 2 cupcakes would make a person hint the overdose of sugar but yeah size of the cupcake is pretty small considering the price they charge.

Service: It was a take-away so service didn’t come into picture.

Price: Here comes the bomb, 4 cupcakes and the bill is Rs. 458 INR (including tax), which is priced extremely high and that makes this place out of my visit even if I madly love their cupcakes.

If the price is given consideration then it’s in my list of frequent visits. But yeah, their Red Velvet cupcake is a must try and is definitely one of the yummiest.

I happen to taste their cup cakes in my workplace when it was ordered for an occasion. Their packaging was very neat with no disturbance to the cream carvings during transit.
I tried their double chocolate cup cake, red velvet cup cake and fresh lemon cup cake. I just loved their double chocolate cup cake which was delicious. Fresh lemon was equally terrific. Red velvet however was just okay.
Hungrychennaifoodie
A quaint cupcake shop offering a choice of over 15 flavors of cupcakes, Apart from cupcakes, the outlet also offers cookies, brownies, donuts, pizzas, sandwiches and quiche made from specially sourced Dutch cheese and most importantly they serve a traditional South Indian brew. . Amid a bunch of offices and apartments is a small strip mall kind of place off TTK road and one can find cupcakes amore tucked away there.

That one dessert cafe where one can have a good chat over a coffee and but of that cupcake, which the cafe has been named after. It's in the same place as TukTuk asia.

Considering the ambiance, it's more amiable to the cupcake cafe than the oriental restaurant.

Menu is pretty extensive with signature cupcakes, beverages, pasteries, etc.
Tasted red velvet and double chocolate cupcakes. The red velvet is this bit hyped chocolate + red color pigment dessert which is in the form of cupcake topped with fresh cream. The double chocolate has sugary chocolate cupcakes topped with chocolate butter cream. Both of them were calorie bombs and obviously tasted good. The coffee was too mediocre and hot chocolate was not that great, had more milk foam than usual. Also had choco chip cookie and banofee pastery. They were good.

Service should be improved. Prices are worth the quality they serve.

Ambiance is good. You get pretty much what u get for 5 bucks in tea shop at 300 bucks in amore. Simple as that. But u can try experiencing a shop that's specifically for cupcakes.

Pretty good ambience.. The cup cakes are really good but the price are pretty high compared to the other shops. Bought 4 cakes for 450rs....

A warm and cozy place that serves delicious cupcakes at Alwarpet. I had visited this place to order cupcakes for my friend's birthday this year. I have tried out their classic and premium cakes and they are worth your money. They do fondant cupcakes too. Their service is good and they made me really happy for making her birthday more special with their cupcakes.

If you are a cupcake lover like me then this place should definitely be on your list. I had both the classics and the premiums and found them extremely delicious. Red velvet is always my favorite where ever I go and this place satisfied my need to have yummy red velvet cupcakes. We also had their smileys which were seasoned to perfection. If you have a sweet tooth and are craving for good cupcakes then this is the place to be. The price is pretty decent, maybe they could do discounts now and then. Anyway no complaints as they serve the best!

Twitter: @positiveonlyin

Disclaimer : Here is a review which does not talk about their specialty - the cupcakes. Should go back again for that.
Had been craving for some Khow Suey for a very long time. And luck would have it that I had the Wednesday off. Packed my Mom, Sister and Grand Mom into the car and got to this cute little pastry shop.

Had checked their menu on Zomato enough to know what I wanted. We were quick to order and they were quick to serve. Two Chicken Khow Sueys, One Veg Khow Suey, a Chicken with Sweet Chilli Pizza and a Ham Quiche.

Ambiance : Not much space. About 15 people can be seated. Sadly, today, a huge group had reserved most of their tables and hence, we had a to wait a while to get one small table for the four of us. The Christmas decor is up and the pink curtains brought in much cheer!

Parking : space for about 8 cars in the compound (which is shared by other offices as well) - but we found some space.

We had wanted a chicken and leeks quiche. But, sadly, they did not make any today. That's when we were informed that if we call them in the morning and let them know that we're coming in and this was what we wanted, they'd make it for us. Should do this the next time.

Down to their Wednesday Khow Sueys - the quantity is just about right for a good eater. Those corporate lunches that are not too heavy and you can get back and continue working without feeling sleepy. A nice tinge of lemon and coriander. Similarly, the chicken pieces were tender - the veg variant had a lot of carrots, broccoli, corn and beans. Tasted perfect. Except, I thought that the raw onions that were sliced into it did not give the feeling that fried onions would give. And maybe some crushed peanuts would add to the wonder. But, even without them, I was satisfied!

The Pizza - was actually customized for us - we did not want the BBQ Sauce and hence this option was given to us. The base was soft - home made, I guess. Was baked nicely. Only, it was small in size - more like a snack item.

The Ham Quiche - again, it stayed together perfectly. No smell / taste of raw egg. And it was not leathery as well. Quite impressed. Not a very large size, though.

(The pizza and the quiche put together made a good meal for my sister).

Beverages : We did not order any. We got three lemonades complimentary with the Khow Suey. And then a fourth on arrived on the house as well. Thirst Quencher.

Cost : 1.4K for 4 people. Filling meals at 350 bucks - Was quite happy.

Service : A quick mention about the person behind the counter. I should have asked for her name - sadly did not. But, I found her extremely courteous and was impressed by her English! Welcoming enough for us.

Bottomline : A double thumbs-up for their Khow Suey and Quiche. Just hope you get a table when you go! :)

Such a lovely cute cafe. Fell in love with the pink cutains, kids books arranged on the side, and the cute gallore of mouth watering cupcakes. The staff were really friendly. We had the mint chocolate chip, and the red velvet. I feel they should work a lil more on the frosting though. But the cakes were spongy fresh and super yummy. A very good hangout place. Loved it.

The cupcakes were pretty good. I had classic, special and premium ones.
They have some of the cutest looking cupcakes! The taste is great. They are soft and melt into your mouths.
Food: 4/5
VFM: 4/5

A small cafe styled place which serves cup cakes. Ok-ish ambiance. The cupcakes have a very long way to go indeed. I boxed 3 cupcakes

1. Pretty Strawberry - This was a nice cake. Simple no frills. But the frosting was a little awkward. The buttercream was beaten too much and it lacked taste. Overtly sweet.

2. Mocha - This was terrible. The chocolate cup cake was really a let down. Most of it was stuck to the cup cake liner. It was all breaking apart. You definitely don't want to pay 90/- for it. Very amateur cake. The icing was good though.

3. Triple - This had 3 flavors. Again overtly sweet for me and the cake was breaking apart in this one too. All stuck to the cup cake liners.

They baking is not yet perfected enough on the cup cakes for sure. Definitely a disappointed affair at 332/- Money not well spent at all for me. The only thing that appealed to me was their packaging

Was in alwarpet for some work. For an early lunch decided to have khowsuey from cupcakes amore. Khowsuey is available here on every Wednesday for lunch. Opted for the chicken variant. I received a huge bowl half filled. It had egg noodles, scrambled eggs, sliced onions, chicken cubes and fried noodles along with the curry. The dish was flat and was nothing extraordinary to talk about. The noodles lacked salt and the dish as whole didn't have a balance of flavour. It was quiet filling. Price wise it was a bomb. I was charged 350 bucks for this. For this high price I would definitely like to see more quality and quantity in the bowl. Packed few choco chip cookies for the kid. All these set me back by 720 including tax which I find way too much.

Avoid. When you are consuming calories in dessert it's criminal to waste them on dessert that's below average. The choco mint cupcake was a complete letdown.. The cream was over beaten almost to a point where it tasted like it had curdled ... Very poor consistency and needless to mention curdled cream taste.. The cake itself was very amateur and seemed pasty. The only saving grace is perhaps the cookies.. The chocolate chip cookies were bang on but that's disappointing since you expect the same of the cupcakes especially given the name of the establishment! The biggest disappointment though is the fact that almost all the cupcakes look fabulous only to mislead you to a disaster on your palate
Food For Thought
Tried out this place bcos it was located right opposite to my office. Ordered a double chocolate brownie and a veg pesto sandwich.

Brownie was extremely hard and it had coco powder taste which i hate to taste in any desert. Veg pesto sandwich was served plain without toasting/grilling it, even though the stuffing's were decent.

The entire bill came to 230/- which was not worth the money.

Cupcakes, a favorite to everyone and the joy you get from eating it is doubled here at Cupcake amore, personally one of the best cupcakes I have ever had. The stand out cupcake is definitely the red velvet, my personal favorite. Head over here if you'd like to try something wholesome and good and satisfying.

A cute little hideout in the heart of the city. Their red velvet cupcake is amazing. And so is their pineapple fantasy.

Their bottled lemonade is fantabulous.

Give their marshmallow candies a miss though. Nothing great about it.

My only wish is they had comfy seating for us to sit and enjoy our cupcakes.

(still fighting over a cupcake in the car-thanks to their ample parking space isn't a bad idea either)

Coupled with a cozy ambience and friendly atmosphere, comes some of the best authentic south East Asian cow sway I've ever had. A must try.

Away from all the noise and traffic of the ever-busy TTK road, but still very easily connected to this arterial road of alwarpet is the peaceful dessert diner. I took a long walk from work and passed through all the traffic to get here and found this calmness about the place extremely welcoming.

Was the only person at the store, so no great hospitality and no complaints about that. Ordered a premium cupcake - 'hot chocolate'. For some reason the name deceived me to think I would be served a heated version of what was displayed, only to learn otherwise.

The cupcake had an interesting mix of chocolate, nuts, and whatever other topping you see in the picture. Flavour-wise nothing great about it though; so OK'ish would be a better way to rate it. I wanted something to drink, but was in no mood for coffee or hot chocolate. Had a lemonade and must admit, it was refreshing! But come on, no brownie points for getting the lemonade right!

I might go back to try the food or enjoy the calmness the place provides.

One of my bud has been telling about this place for quite sometime especially for the love of red velvet cake. On a fine Sunday evening, we decided to head to that place (Sundays are usually closed, it was open only for the occasion of Diwali which was falling the following week). It's a nice small place and when you open the door and get it, you will see a craving counter full of coloured cup cakes with name tags.

I just quickly glazed through the counter and ordered After 8, Chocolate Knockout and obviously Red Velvet Cake for my friend.

After 8: After 8 just reminded me about the After 8 Mint Chocolate Thins and I was a crazy fan of it sometime earlier. It had that punch when you have a spoon full of cake and the cream with that mint flavour. My friend didn't like it thou.

Red Velvet Cake: It was definitely a delicious piece of cup cake but it was way very sweet thou.

Chocolate Knockout: It was a decent chocolate cake with chocolate filling in the inside.

We also ordered some chicken sandwich which was decent and they had their speciality which I should have spoken about first - Croquembouche (small sized). It seems one of their Australian chef was in town and it was prepared specially since its Diwali season. I quickly recollected see Croquembouche on Masterchef Australia for a pressure test and never thought I would end up tasting them in my town.

Since its the first time I ever had it but from the knowledge and things I have seen and learned from Masterchef, my comments are:
A: the caramel on the Croquembouche was very hard and it has to be very thin threads making it crispy
B: the flavour of egg was strong and took away the other flavours

(Looks like I am talking as if I am one of the judges, I know :P)

However, it wasn't that appealing to us but it was interesting to try something new. Leaving the new addition to the special menu, my review is totally based on their regular servings and more importantly CUP CAKES.

Will there be a next time: YES (to try other cupcakes)

BOTTOM LINE: Nice Ambiance. Great Service. Great Food (cupcakes thou). Little Expensive (but worth it).
Anna
It's a short review, mostly because we walked in, ordered cupcakes, sat down and finished them really fast and then rushed out. But the cupcakes were good. They were soft and fresh and delicious. It was sweet without being sickeningly sweet and the lady behind the counter (I didn't get her name) was very polite and helpful.

It didn't hurt that we got to try a macaron each for free! And I'm a macaron snob because I've been spoiled by the Macaron Queen of India when I lived in Mumbai. But these macarons were really good! Definitely going back to get myself a box of macarons and to eat more of their cupcakes and to even try their food. Everyone needs to go here at least once.

Most Definitely the best cupcakes in Chennai.
Wish there was an outlet closer to Anna nagar

As a certified cupcake addict, I've eaten at several different cupcake joints all over Chennai, but I keep coming back here for my fix! Nothing else seems to compare! Best cupcakes in town! Buttery, soft, fresh and utterly delicious! The only problem is that their cookies, and savory food are just as good and moderation is always difficult! I totally recommend Cupcakes Amore for all things cupcake! :)
Rajath KM
I really loved the ambience. Small and cozy. The cupcakes and cookies, as always, were brilliant.
