Biryani Darbar is a Casual Dining located at Virugambakkam, Chennai. It specializes in Biryani cuisine. The food served here never fails to impress its diners. In operation till as late as 11:00PM, this is a great spot for quick bites. It offers a variety of preparations on the menu from Bengali, Biryani, North Indian, Chinese, Hyderabadi cuisines at reasonable prices. It is one of the great restaurants of the area and manages to attract office-goers, which helps increase the place's appeal. The cost for two is 500 which is economical.

Only thing it contains good is it's car parking. It takes minutes to receive ordered dishes, superb service speed! Excellent taste! Good to had lunch here

I had ordered 3 chicken biryani with chicken chilli for 3 people. The bill was 650/- in total. The taste is quite good, the ambience is not that good.

Dined in for chicken biriyani and chicken 65 it turned out to be really awesome and it was budget friendly too. Biriyani was like homemade Biriyani awesome taste and flavour.

Good food and good place to dine and eat. If you wanna eat tasty food for cheap and fresh and also they serve compared to star hotels quality

Tried a combo on other website! Packaging was pretty good.. chicken noodles and chilly chicken .. chicken was perfect cooked . But the noodles wasn’t too good as of my taste .. it lacked flavour . Could’ve been a bit spicy .. salt was less too.. chilly chicken was too good .. worth for the price !

This place is my goto for all of my night cravings. Their biryani combo offer is really good and is quite filling too. The biryani could be better but it's an overall nice experience to order from this place.<br/><br/>Their rolls are nice too. Same as the biryani, I usually take the combo offer on rolls which gives you a bottle of pepsi/coke along with your respective roll.

ordered through swiggy ! briyani was okish ! chicken 65 was burnt and garlic chicken didn't even taste like chicken I got a doubt wether it's even chicken meat !!! totally gross ewwww

Biryani is one of those cravings which have to be quenched at the earliest, and when the craving strikes you there is no way out, than sit at the comfort of your home and get Biryani delivered to your place. Having tried the Biryani at most of the famous joints in Chennai, I decided to try a new place and stumbled across Biryani Darbar, if ratings on Zomato are a premonition of what is to come by, it is spot on. With a paltry rating of 2.9, I should've tread with caution, but the prospect of trying a new place is always enticing. <br/><br/>I went for the chicken biryani and fish tikka, and before getting down to the flavours and technique of cooking, one issue I had throughout the meal was the use of food colour in the meal. The fish tikka has this weirdly deep tinge of red which is no way reminiscent of the mild red colour every well made tikka should have. Food has its own natural colour which should be left undisturbed, but anyways the taste is the king and the fish tikka did taste quiet well. The marinade on the fish is done very well, with the tartness from the curd not being too overpowering and letting the sweetness of the fish meat sing well enough. The fish is cooked perfectly and has a very juicy and light mouthfeel. The tikka though was a tad salty, but delicious nonetheless. The fish tikka is a welcome break from the tried and tested chicken tikka. <br/><br/>However good the sidekick  may be, if the kingpin lets you down, there's nothing much you can do. The chicken biryani is a disappointment well on the verge of being horrendous. Biryani is known for the subtlety of cloves, cinnamon and bay leaf and the biryani served here misses everything. The rice has no inherent fragrance, and instead ends up being oily. The chicken pieces are fried before adding into the rice and have a weird stickiness and sweetness (the chicken is great in its own sense, but that's not the way the chicken is meant to be added in a biryani). Once again the food coloring ends up playing a spoilsport and every quintessential characteristic of a biryani is missing and at 175 rupees, I've certainly had much better biryani at much lower prices.

Ordered combo chicken biriyani+65+coke. They have charged 280. Got delivered a low quality food with zero brand packing. Looking like road side shop packing. Even quality & quantity of food was very worst. The food delivered doesn't worth more than 100 to 120 rupees. Waste of money.

This is the third time I ordered from this restaurant and they have never failed in the taste and quality section. My first order was honey chicken and it was worth its price. In fact, it was one of the best chinese chicken dishes I’ve tasted here. The second time I ordered Chicken Biryani and personally, it disappointed me with the tamil flavours since I expected Hyderabadi Biryani or Kolkata’s Dum Biryani but the quantity and quality was good. Third time I ordered Chicken Tikka butter masala and it was out of the world with amazing quantity and soft small chicken pieces. To be honest, it won my heart.

Quantity was good but Gravy was too bad. chicken pieces were less. Didn't meet our expectations.

Both veg and non veg are good. I had Chinese and biryani items all are very much edible and tastes nice. One suggestion would be to improve on the packaging for home deliveries.

Biryani Is Okay'ish.Went Their & Ordered Food Around 3:30 P.M Except For The Biryani Everything Was Served Hot.Place Tidiness & Ambient Can be Better. Overall A Nice Place If You Want A Quick Spicy Bite.

Haven’t been to the place. But have ordered food from them through Zomato app and swiggy. The food is decent and the packaging was good. The biriyani is not so good and the taste is not very appreciable. The chicken was cooked well and the taste was good. The delivery time is also considerably good.

Review based on an online order. Ordered from this new outlet as they had a 20% discount going on. Ordered the chic biryani and their chic lolly pop. Biryani was a Mughlai South Indian style biryani and it was good for the price. Would love to dine at the outlet sometime soon and give a detail feedback of the same.

I have ordered one lucknowi mutton and one special lucknowi chicken biryani for lunch and ginger chicken for starters, I have made the order at 1.40 an the order had reached by 3.15. The ginger chicken was saltier. Food was not at all good the biryani delivered were not lucknowi for sure. It was boiled n coloured rice with rose essence, my special lucknowi chicken biryani had chicken 65 pieces with some sauce added to it,if they don't know how to make lucknowi biryani why is it added in there menu n cheating people like this, I give -ve rating for the food totally bad experience.

This new place I saw on zomato and decided to try it out. I'm glad I tried it because the Hyderabadi biryani over here is out of the world and very very authentic. Would definitely bring my friends and family here next !

Had one of the best biryanis here and to my surprise even the Chinese food we ordered for delivery - garlic chicken and fried rice was out of the world. Definitely a must try and trust me you will not be disappointed :)
