This place is best for veg food. The food they serve is definitely unique and freshly prepared. The concern they show towards their customers is rarely seen in any other cafe/restaurant these days. A must visit when you are in Anna Nagar.

They set expectation if there is delay and the time will be precise .
I ordered phulka and aloo Gobi capsicum gravy...both were excellent in taste and quality...paneer fried rice was not good as it had a oil and uncooked smell...
We went there for dinner. Their menu is simple and short. But unlike other restaurants, they could server whatever they specified in the menu. My kids loved the macaroni masala and classic macaroni in white sauce.

We planned for a sudden birthday party for our dear daughter but wanted to serve different dishes, and we had less time to order food, so we approached Madras Marigold and you know what we ordered in the noon and within few hours they prepared the dishes and gave us on time ... our guests just loved it.. The raita was too good , phulka was soft, Chilli panneer was just amazing.. unfortunately i couldn't have my share..so we visited with our family the very weekend.. like 2mins noodles.. the service was super quick with suda suda dishes which served our hungry tummy. Amazing service! Good Food! It's worth it... the pics of the Madras brings back our memories and reminds us to keep our Chennai Clean.. Overall a must try place with all the dishes prepared out there ...am game for it.. will you be???
This cafe in anna nagar near chennai public school is my all time favourite place. The cozy little ambiance and service is very good. Speaking about food they make it very fast and very tasty. The prices are also very affordable and the main thing is again taste and quantity which is really really good. I feel like this is one of the underrated cafes around Anna Nagar. But this place is worth the visit with friends and family for small get togethers and hangouts at affordable price ☺️

I had ordered rice with dhal tadka, masala tea and lemon tea for my lunch. packing was really nice with no spill and every dish tasted awesome. will definitely refer this hotel to my vegetarian friends since the dishes were not very spicy and was just right.The person with whom I spoke was really kind enough to clear my doubts and delivered the food on time.waiting to make my next order.😋😍👌🥘🥗🍱☕

I was taken to this laid back vegetarian place by a friend of mine who are raving about the place. At first sight the first impression I got was that the place is little cramped but it was clean and decently designed. I came to know that Madras Marigold cafe depends more on delivery and catering. May be this could be the reason that they do not have a bigger place. We tried the Cauliflower Manchurian for starter. I expected it to be oily but it was really nice and crispy and had a lovely tang. We then ordered few Rotis and Punjabi Dal Tadka. The food look over 20 minutes but it was worth the wait. The Dal Tadka was superb. I never expected the quality of Dal to be this good. The portion was large. It was a tad salty but the we polished off the dal and Roti in minutes. We then ordered Sambar rice. Surprise of Surprises!!! The Sambar rice was magnificent. Again the salt was a tad higher than expected but did not alter the taste of the dish. There were enough vegetables in the bowl, the accompaniment of Potato which looked more like a chinese side dish was perfect. Can you imagine Sambar rice with Chinese potato fry? perfect !!!!! The owner is someone who knows his food well. A nice lad with laid back energy. If this place was to opened in Anna Nagar in a slightly bigger place this will surely attract more clientele. This place is worth a visit !!!!!

I had a veg sandwich and vanilla ice cream as a quick snack - today evening 6th April 2017 . The presentation , service and ambience was very pleasing . The ambience was very calm with a small television set . I personally feel , if we want good food near Anna Nagar West (Near Chennai Public School ) , this is the best place .
Would recommend the Podi Dosa and the filter coffee for breakfast, the Madras Combo lunch and ice cream blended cold coffee for lunch and Phulkas with Mutter Paneer for dinner. The cool thing about this neighbourhood cafe is how reasonably it is priced. It's my go to cafe because it's close to home and super convenient. They take about 15 minutes to serve because every meal is prepared fresh. So do account for the waiting time. Also, it's a vegetarian joint.
Had a lite dinner last week with my fiancee. Ordered pasta masala and gobi with sandwich. Loved the taste of pasta which was very unique. I liked the way it was served. The infrastructure was perfectly designed. And should not forget to mention the chat with Sailesh ;-) Expecting to taste your signature dish very soon.

this is my regular eat out. I simply love this place. I have seen any other restaurant giving so much quantity of food. One Pulav fills 2 stomach :) They customise according to your taste. Very friendly place. Must Visit..!!
Coming from a Hospitality Industry, I do understand the the requirements of customers to a great extent and have seen how Chef's deliver as per customer requirement. The good thing about this place is that you feel at Home. You get some of the best popular dishes which tastes good and feels like homemade. They are all ears to improve further basis your feedback. My gut feel is Shylesh will go places from hereon if he keeps the same temperament and is customer focussed.My best wishes to Madras Marigold Café team.

Small is big. Simple is grand. That is Madras Marigold. An earnest attempt by a seasoned and a passionate chef in the town. It's a small place tucked away near Anna Nagar. Thanks to google maps, you wouldn't find it difficult to find it. And it is a place not to be missed if you are one of those who wouldn't give a miss to those non-cliche goof food place.
I tried their much talked-about Khati roll. The portions were huge and the flavour was extraordinary. No exaggerations here. And I ended my meal with a cold
Coffee recommend by the chef himself. I am not a fan of cafe coffee day's but rather Sathyam cinemas' Cold coffee. And the
Cold coffee here was a bit better than that.
And the service was excellent. It is a small but well lit place, where you can hangout with your friends or by yourself with a book, munching on whatever the chef is recommending. For a guy who has trust issues, I wouldn't be surprised to try anything the chef is recommending. It is that good. It is that simple.
Been this spot twice in a week, peaceful and good looking ambience, highly recommended for all age groups, delicious taste of classic macaroni, and nice end up with lemonade. Overall classy tiny cafe👌
Madras Marigold is an excellent caterer, we recently got them to serve a Kerala sadhya for lunch at home and all our guests were very happy with the taste and quality, especially their Ada Pradaman. More than anything Shylesh and his team really understand the art of serving food which only comes with constant practice and the value system they carry. Thanks Madras Marigold!

Excellent food, ordered for my daughter's birthday party, ontime food was packed and very good taste, tho we are ardent NV fans being the holy month had to go with Veg, but to our surprise we relished the items and the entire family and guests liked the food. After a long time, we found a hotel which listens to what their customers really need and delivers exactly what we asked.
With our two naughty kids, it’s been ages we really had sat down calmly and enjoyed our food in a hotel. If the food is little spicy / oily / not tasty, it will not accepted by our kids and they will simply avoid the food and convert the whole place in to their play area, yes, all that happens in a playground happens there, except eating. So, we would literally convert all ordered food in to “to-go” items and leave the place as soon as possible.
Yesterday, we dared ourselves to try another hotel for our dinner. Yes, we were so lazy that we prepared ourselves to face any consequences.
This is a small Hotel. I believe it can accommodate around 20 people max. It should be an old building, but they have completely changed the interiors and have created a pleasant environment. The outlook is also good. Though they have a small space, they did not try to stuff in too many chairs to accommodate more customers.
I should appreciate the waiter. He was very patient to listen to what we wanted. One of my kid was loudly reading the menu card (she is just 3, doesn’t even know ABC.., but it usually sounds as if she reads English in foreign accent.) and the other one was keep shouting her favorite items, idly and panneer butter masala. In the mid of this chaos, the waiter was trying tell us what is special in their Hotel. It was a hectic time for that guy.
We managed to place an order with the strict spice level we wanted. We got our dinner and guess what, the food was excellent. To our surprise, we all, specifically our kids loved their dinner very much. We had good time there. And most importantly, the next day morning, none of us had any discomfort in our stomach, which happens commonly if the hotels use bad oil.
I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are planning for small get-together or a relaxed dinner outing.
Honestly speaking it's a very comfy place with one of the finest veg menus u will ever get in Annanagar or adjacent to it. Much APPRECIATE the the wonderful consistency delivered time and again. I strongly encourage this place and u will never be disappointed.
