We ordered 2 set meal and a variety rice through zomato. They promised in half an hour, whereas they actually took it 1.5 hrs. But they responded well during the enquiry. Coming to food, the set meal had
one palak Puri - it was not oily - but dry.
1 podi rice - paruppu/curry leaf podi with curry mixed with rice. This was too good.
Curd rice - the rice was extremely boiled and more close to paste. I generally prefer that.
Poriyal - it was beetroot. The quantity can be more.
Channa masala - side dish for Puri. No complaints.
Semiya payasam, pappad, chutney - all are good.
I would say this is a better deal for the price.
Have visited many number of times for dinner. Pretty decent place where you have to stand and eat. They have wash basin and cool drinks in this very small place. Have to appreciate their efforts.
Service will be quick. Best option is to take away. It is situated near to Spencer's. Pocket friendly.
I have tried all the varieties in dinner section. Everything will be decent. Best ones are masala dosa, ghee dosa, mysuru masala dosa and podi kara dosa. Idlis and podi idlis are okay.
Snacks items also decent. Vaalaipoo vadai or cutlet is good. Potato bajji platter was okay.
Overall, simple and decent option in besant nagar.

I am writing this review as i order regularly from curry home hurry through Zomato...
Its one of the budget restaurant accepting online payment making it a go to restaurant.
The goto food always here is CURD RICE.. OMG!!! it always taste good...
Chenna masala with palak puri s deadly good here... Dinner wise.. south indian dishes taste good with sambar being slightly off taste..
sambar rice is good and tarmarind rice is fine.... Coconut rice is good.. and all other special variety rices are just edible.
Vegetable briyani is a kind of average.. The sweet they serve... wheat halwa i guess.. its not too good to be honest..
Try not to go for their snacks if ordering online...
If u need to have some good veggie food @ affordable cost.. u can order from here....
I am usually really fussy about my vegetarian food because I don't normally have a meal without meat in it. My dad happened to order from here a while back and I must say that everything I tasted was more than expected. Every single dish was excellent. The aloo puri, vadas, idly, everything.
I'd give the place a 4.5 only because I can't possibly not have non veg. But otherwise - amazing food. Veggie heaven.
Tried a couple of their dishes for lunch through Zomato Online Ordering. I felt that the food is a bit low on the quantity side but cant complain due to the pricing . Food taste is good
Ordered for Home Delivery in Adyar. Delivered the food even before putting the Phone Down. Chole Bahture is good. Palak Poori is also good with sufficient side dish. Meal is good with plenty for the price . May be one of the cheapest in Adyar area without any compromise on Quality and Quantity.
The meals here are gigantic! But I'm not sure they have given enough thought about their meals. I ordered a meal with Chole Bhature and I got only one Bhature. They should give atleast two and if they have reduce other items it's okay. Chole were tasty. Sambar rice as well.
With such affordable price, I'm going to order again for sure.

A take away joint and one has to wait for a long time even if there is no crowd as they seem to be short staffed can improve the hygiene part a bit
Taste wise the items are ok
Extremely affordable and decent for a noon meal. The taste is pretty good and serves the purpose. Nothing to boast of, this place would immensely satisfy you if you prefer an everyday noon meal. Pocket friendly and hygienic.
Great place to grab a quickie break fast or tiffin on the go.. Great service .. Tasty food and Reasonable price. Good variety of vegetarian dishes.
A curry point opposite to the Besant Nagar velankani church bus stop. They serve south Indian cusine: idlis, vada, varieties of dosas. The service is quick and the taste of the food is good specially the chola curry. Pricing is reasonable.

Tasty and affordable food that's not too taxing on the stomach. If you regularly eat food from outside, this place is an ideal eat out. The advantage is their menu, that's simple and healthy and quite unique. Most of the food is healthy and quite unheard of. The place is clean and has friendly Staff as well. If any negative, the place is a little uncomfortable to eat in because of lack of space. But that wouldn't stop me from going there again or ordering home food. :)

A small outlet which is right next to spencers ,a container kind revamped into kitchen
There is no seating available only slab like places near the counter are there which is of no use though, so take away is recommended for lunch the best part is it had wash basin kudos for it, they make use of token system so orders are quick but availability is a problem cause everything tends to quickly sell away.
After hearing many people recommending this place ,wanted to try them so ordered the set meals 2 combo which had
Kesari: It was very good with cashew and right amount of sweet and oil
Palak poori with chole masala: Tooo good that it took me directly to Punjab and the masala was equally good ,an onion piece would have been masti but nevertheless
Carrot rice with papads: Again impressed me alot
Curd rice with chutney: JUST Perfect
The highlight was ,every dish had an accompaniment and their taste was very near to home cooked food
Its more than a VFM place,
Next visit is surely on the cards to try their evening items

Idly,set dosa, podi dosa, masala dosa, chole batura, vazhapoo cutlet, and palak poori.
The food was amazing except for the chole which was toooo oily.
We enjoyed eating food from CHH.

Gloomy weather made me n kiddo to have some piping hot snacks couple of days ago. Was near words n worth Bessie and when I offered kiddo frankie, he said "No amma. Something different.". So checked this place Curry Home Hurry next to words n worth. Got a plate of madhur vadai. Two pieces for 30 bucks. The vadai was not hot but warm enough. It was crisp on the edges and bit soft in the centre. I felt it needed a tad bit more salt. What I loved more was the thick and flavourful chutneys served with vadai. Usually the chutneys will be very watery and will have no flavour. Here both the Coconut chutney and the red chutney was simply yumm. Kiddo loved the chutney and vadai and had another plate. I also packed some punugulu which was very good too.
And when we were looking for simple lunch options kiddo said "Amma let's buy from the place where we had the vadai. I saw the lunch options on their board". So got a combo which had 1 chapati, 1 subji, 1 veg poriyal, sweet and a variety rice. 2 combos cost me 105 including packing charge. The rajma masala was very good. Chapati was decent veg kootu, thuvaiyal and sweet were very nice but too less in quantity. What let me down was the variety rice. Took a curry leaves rice and tomato rice as they were the rice of the day. Both the rice had no flavour at all. And the quality of rice was terrible. Like low quality rice.
Verdict from kiddo was "inime inga snacks mattum vangalamma". (Let's buy snacks alone here )
I like the food. I like the friendly people here. Their new restaurant looks good. I plan to try breakfast there soon. My favorites are cutlet, punugulu and masala tea.

Curry home hurry , a pretty decent place to have south Indian food. The shop is very small and mostly people get takeaways.
They are pretty good at their speed. For the size of the shop they cook food fast.
Food, Had chapathi , plain dosa and set masala dosa. Mine was also takeaway so had it peacefully in my house. The chapathi was soft and perfectly made. The channa given along with it was okayish and nothing great to tell about it. Dosa and sambar. The best combination one can try for dinner over here. The set masala dosa is very small in size. I accept what they give for 40rs is worthy. But definitely small in size. Later, tried the lunch menu too. Lemon rice and veggie rice. They are really worthy for 40rs. Looking forward to try some other days order.
Cost, not very expensive. Well priced I would say.
Parking, You can park your car in the road near by.
My rating would be 3.5/5. Should try their lunch soon.
Brilliant outlet....I just enjoy being here and their Chukku coffee is a must taste. Its great experience, don't miss when you cross this place.

This fast food joint serves South Indian snack and tiffin items. Went out on a Sunday evening and this place was pretty crowded but the service was very fast considering the crowd. items on the menu sounded impressive and ordered some of them. Maddur vada tasted authentic .Looking forward to tasting the tiffin items next time around
The food tastes awesome!! The menu contains a lot of unique items which we will not be able to find in a lot of places. The Curry leaf Idly is really good and the Dosa platter is just too good. For dessert one has to try their Cheese Choco Melt(at it's best when it's hot). The prices are reasonable but we have got to wait for some time before our food gets ready.
Overall the place is good for a hearty south Indian meal at reasonable price and its not the place when you are in a hurry.
Close to Bessy beach. Was a life saviour as we were so hungry in the morning. Best is the combo for Rs 50 in which you get all these things in the pic plus a Vada that I ate 😂.

The service is good. However the eccentric items in the menu get over pretty soon. And the normal dishes in the menu like dosa and idly are too expensive for the kind of ambience.
The Chicken Tikka is very yummy.The chutney and the roti tastes awesome.Please do try this dish.
