A quick bite, breakfast or coffee this is R a Puram's nodal hangout. Boasts one of the best coffees in the city. Staff are well trained and efficient. Can get very busy and overflowing at peak times.
Who doesn't love south Indian breakfast?
You can be spoilt for choices but mini tiffin comes for people like me who want to have a bite of all.
Crispy and tasty masala dosa.Ghee pongal, sambar idli and kesari with hot coffee/tea.All this you can have for 100 bucks.
Sangeetha mini tiffin provided a headstart for the day.

Affordable, delicious comfort food. Everything from their chaat to their thayir sadham is a safe option. Of course, it isn't the best, but the food is definitely worth every rupee. Do try their papdi chaat!
Famous and we'll known hotel that has been surviving for a long time. Their onion podi uthappam is truly tasty with the crisp onion and podi layer on top of the uthappm and soft inside.
This is my second home whenever I am in Chennai . My day starts with a aromatic coffee followed by yummy breakfast. Don't miss it. Also visit their fine dining restaurant adjacent to Sangeetha ...must try
Every Saturday after workout, this is our place for yummy South Indian breakfast!
If you are visiting Chennai or South India for first time. Do visit Sangeetha if you want crisp ghee roast, soft idlis, tasty vada, filter coffee to start your day.
Every Saturday - I enjoy there ghee onion Uthappam or mini sambar idli or ghee podi dosa! If you don’t want oil or ghee, you could tell them and they will make it for you ;)
There lunch is also yummy! Do try sambar rice *Heaven*
The price is cost effective!
Must visit! Enjoy
The best fast food joint for authentic South Indian food in Chennai.
Even during their bustling hours of work each server makes sure to cater to each and everyones needs. I've been here since when I was 6 and I don't think they ever disappointed me with their food and they always have something exciting on their "today's special" board.
Must try: Almost all their dosas (especially ghee masala dosa and onion rava dosa) , Rasam Vada, Mushroom 65 and of course a plate of idli.
Do not leave the place without having their all time famous filter coffee. (It's the best way to finish off a meal) 😊
Visited this place recently and loved the parotta. The podi dosa was also very crispy and extremely delicious. Service was also good
Must visit place for tiffin lovers.
mini coffee was missing in th pack
great taste, timely delivery
Food quantity was less than expected
Had ordered through swiggy
1) Rava dosa- Along with coconut chutney, tomato chutney and sambar.. It was not great and not crispy at all
2) Pudina coriander utappam: This is the first time I tried this here and was actually tasty and delicious 😋
Chandra is efficient and Sangeeta Veg menu is good as always
poori was hard. extra coconut requested
The south Indian meals is the best lunch I have ever had. Go with an empty stomach and you will need an auto to take you home! They maintain quality in other dishes too. Been a customer for ten plus years ; always the highest on priority. Very decent ambience too.

While people go gaga over other places, this used to be my favorite south Indian breakfast joint during my stints in Chennai (2004-2008, 2013-2014).
I would visit this place religiously every Saturday morning, our house being located at RA Puram.
My standard fare would consist of idlis, vadais, rawa masala dosai and of filter coffee.
One can't go wrong at this place. A must visit.
Great service by zomato. trustworthy service

Excellent breakfast. Every Sunday we eat in RA puram Sangeetha. Sambar and chutney were very special with ghee pongal. Orders are delivered on time.
The 1-line summary: Budget restaurant that serves “ok-ish” South Indian fare in a Spartan ambience. Ideal for a quick tiffin & coffee.
The rating: Food: 3.7/5. VFM: 4.2/5. Ambience & Service: 3.7/5.
The details: Sangeetha is probably the 2nd most well-known budget food chain in Chennai after Saravana Bhavan. This branch is located in RA Puram (right next to OKadey’s, Sangeetha’s upmarket brand), and is one of their better branches in terms of quality of food & service. The menu has all the usual suspects in a South Indian ‘tiffin’ hotel; and they all taste pretty ok - nothing awesome, but nothing to complain about either. Go for the dosa, bajji/bonda, puri/parotta items and you’ll not be disappointed. I am not a big “meals” fan, so no comment on that. Do order the coffee, it’s consistently good; and a welcome change from the machine coffee sprouting up everywhere these days.
The service is quick and matter-of-fact as expected in these kind of set-ups. The place is mostly packed in peak hours. It also has a set of open tables right next to the main road; though I doubt if you'd want to dine al fresco with the honking & smoke in our Chennai roads !
Sometimes you get to have the best breakfast from the least expected places. In this case it's Sangeetha. Well, after days of planning to meet your best friend and have breakfast with her gets sabotaged because of place issues, you decide to have breakfast in a place where you don't expect much about the food. But hey! That turns out good. Surprise!
I had the pooris here that were soft and fluffy with nicely made potato curry. My friend had their podi dosa that was amazing. I regret not having one for myself from here. We also shared a cheese Podi dosa that was phenomenal!
Ended our breakfast with a cup of strong Filter Kaapi. We also had dessert after breakfast and it was rich Basundi which tasted cold and really good.
If am in RA Puram during breakfast time, this will be the place to go!
one piece of naan is missing

The Kara chutney was awesome.
Podi dosa and rava dosa were too good.
Coffee as usual. Sangeetha is best.
I have been to this Restaurant for few times. Had tried both North Indian n South Indian Cuisine here..
Ambience -3/5
Parking Space - 2/5
Service - 3/5
Food - 3.5/5 (for North Indian), 4.5/5 (for South Indian)
This place is the best go-to place for your sudden hunger attacks. I go here for their idli sambhar where you've 14 mini idlis dipped in sambhar and topped with ghee which makes it taste much more better. But being a lazy person I always choose to order for food delivery and I it for their vegetable pulao and palak paneer. The combination might not make sense but they taste good, individually and together.
They do have a lot other food items which are worth it but once I find my comfort food, I stick to those.
My parents keep trying out all the other food items and they are always happy with it.
It's a good cheap restaurant in Ra puram. The food is hygienic and clean. Must try mini idli and filter coffee. If you want A/C hall there's oakadey just beside it.
Excellent restaurant for having vegetarian food. Very good ambience and well maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful. All the dishes we ordered were great.
Good food at this one joint.
Service is good.
Had a onion rava with masala on the side and coffee.
Classic south indian eatery! Must try if you are visiting Chennai. Visited this place for an evening snack. The dining area was super clean and neat. However, the hand wash area wasn't cleaned after lunch time with rice spills around the sink.
I went for breakfast on a Saturday. The restaurant was completely full. But still they managed to provide us a table. The ambience was good and so was the food. The service was very slow. They took a very good 30 minutes to serve Dosas. There's ample parking in the front. Hand Wash area was a little shady.
Sangeetha is our favorite neighbourhood eat out. They make the best dosai and a tasty sambar.
The goods
- food
- improved ac room
- decent service
- prime location
- available parking
The can be better
- non ac outside many times dont have service
- the service leads are rushing through the order to get you out as soon as possible
- not a place and sit and yap but order eat and run away
- wait time sometime is longer due to lean service agents.
Overall it is a good place.
As always, this place never disappoints us. Food quality is very good. The ambience and the atmosphere could be slightly better. Though there was a miscommunication in the order during our recent visit, I would highly recommend this place. I see many people indulging in their delicious food after a walk around this area. I hope the quality is never compromised.
Best Veg food that we have tasted in the area and definitely the best of the chain. Very friendly staff and outstanding veg food. Strongly recommend the chole bhature. There was a halva festival on at the time with 30 varieties of halva for 100/- and every single one of them was delicious. We are regulars here and have never been disappointed so far.
You can’t go wrong with this fast food restaurant serving South Indian food like thosai, vadai, idly, vegetarian set lunch, some sweets and good beverages. Filter coffee is good.
The restaurant is decently clean, and with many tables - so you wouldn’t say it’s cozy.
Food is delicious and wholesome. Service is quick and courteous.
Sangeetha is a chain of restaurants in Chennai with a menu of South Indian vegetarian eats. From their lunch menu, I ordered the Mini Meal, which came with a sweet, kurma (yogurt-based curry with mixed vegetables), chapati, poriyal (chopped green beans mixed with dal), vadams (crunchy crackers), and three types of rice: variety (seasoned with herbs, spices, peanuts, dal), sambar (made with mixed vegetables and lentils), and curd (mixed with yogurt). All of the items were seasoned perfectly, and the cool curd rice balanced out the hot sambar and variety rices, while the chapati went perfectly with the kurma and poriyal. The place was quite busy and chaotic during my visit and the service wasn’t particularly attentive, but the tasty food came at a great value.
Had people who were raving about Sangeetha, so decided to try it for dinner. Has the Masala dosa, puri and filter coffee. For those used to Masada Dosa from the Premier joints in Bangalore, they will find this Dosa nor upto the mark. It's thin and not so crispy. The filter coffee was good. Given the joint has over 10 franchisees in Chennai, it doesn't have that exclusive outlet mark.
Kadai Veg Curry was extremely spicy. Could not finish even 40% of the serving. Mouth burns like hell. Watch out when ordering North Indian food. South Indian food is very tasty & satisfactory.

I regularly visit this place for quick morning/evening breakfast . Only thing I gave 4* for food is the red chutney they serve is not the same they serve in Parrys/Egmore branches which is tastier than they serve here.
Every time I visit this place I could see most of the people avoiding eating the red chutney and wasting it .IDK weather the management noticed this.
I request the higher ups to Change or introduce the red chutney which they serve in Egmore/ Parrys branches and see it's likings with the people.
Bestesttttt coffee in Chennai! Love their hospitality and their food! All their employees are kind and courteous! Must visit if you are looking for good food in chennai.
One of my favourites in terms of taste as well as quality. I often visit this restaurant with my family and we just can't get enough. Great food, great service. Highly recommend.
