We have ordered 1 plate swarma, half Philipino bbq, 2 kubbus, Laham Kozhi. And all it cost only 650..
That is a great thing. Average food cost in Chennai is rising up and this is super weekend dinner makes affordable. The bbq was super hot ๐ฅ but I like it. The laham Kochi or ouzi rice is super fluffy and flavoured. Laham on top can be improve in taste. The swarma was super good, with less fillers of cabbage ๐. But not served 2 kubbus for a plate swarma. Overall good and affordable. Need to try on some other occasion for a better review.

It's a nice place. We ordered tandoori food. Food was really delicious. We loved it. Staffs are very helpful and polite. Kaabab was great. They suggested that.
Some dishes are quite expensive. Otherwise, it's worth the money. Good Quality, decent quantity, good ambience, nice menue variety and good service. Love the food there. Must tries are: Samak meshwi basa fish, grilled chicken, tandoori chicken, biriyani, friend rice, chicken tikka masala โฅ๏ธ oh yum, they are good ! My family is a regular customer there and Sea shell never gave us a bad experience. Attended a birthday party there, they also have a good sized party hall attached to the restaurant.
Grill Chicken - Half and Grilled King Fish: amazing choice for an amazing lunch I would say. Grill chicken was so well cooked and the fish was amazing. Large is size, and with so many accompaniments, the juicy fish with mayo was just out of the world. The bill was four digits for just two dishes but it was filling for the two of us and it definitely was worth the money.

I visited this place just two days back with few of my family members and I really liked the Arabian varieties that they offer. Two of the family members were vegetarians and hence, we ordered one veg manchow soup which was made pretty good. The other members, including me had chicken shawarma and a special dish calles Shamak Al Faham (BBQ Fish).
The shawarma was small in size and was served in pita bread without salad. After staying at Hyderabad for 5 years, I can say that the shawarma could have been better. Infact, there are food trucks near sea beaches and all over Chennai which prepares better shawarma. Therefore, a 2.5 out of 5 for this.
However, the BBQ fish was top notch and I never had any fish item like this before. Basa fillets came with pita breads, salads, pickled veggies, hummas and fries. Too good and greatly prepared. A 4.5/5 for this.
The pricing is justified, except shawarma.
The waiters are a bit slow and the service can be a bit faster. A 4/5 for the overall experience.

This restaurant is easy to locate as it is situated opposite to Phoenix Marketcity in Velachery. The restaurant serves variety of cuisine from Chinese, Arabian, Mughlai and also has different types of desserts to end your meal at a sweet note. The service is quick and people are very cordial and they know their menu by heart. The seekh kebab was thick and juicy, schezwan chicken was dry yet spicy and Tangdi kebab was soft and tender. All three were served with spicy and tangy green chutney. The quantity of Chicken fried rice is enough for two person. Falooda (canโt recollect the name) was full of dryfruits and icecream!

Amazing biryani, unlike many other restaurants at claim to serve good biryani, this one really keeps up to the promise.
The rice is so light and flavourful, the chicken is so soft that even on the lightest jerk would fall off the bone.
Would love to come back again for some amazing biryani.

I have two comments,
Chilli fish - It tasted good but the quantity was very less.
Dejaj sizzler - It had six slices but it was not upto the mark. Maybe you could change the taste of it. Only cabbage was present with a sauce topping. It did not contain any other veggies.
Been there twice. It has a very good ambiance. We ordered Raan briyani Nd way to say! Canโt forget hw excited v were on seeing it! Taste was extremely good. Best quality, good price nd good standards
Have been ordering veg fried rice and Gobi Manchurian from this place. Love this combo of disheas. They don't use a lot of soy sauce or whatever additives in the rice that local fast food joints add. So it feels slightly bland but you can get the full taste of the vegetables and the flavour of basmati rice. It also feels light on the tummy. The Gobi Manchurian is also good and compliments the fried rice whenever you feel the rice to be a bit bland.
Nice place. Went with a colleague for dinner. Service was good. Ordered chicken fried rice, chicken Lollipop, Ediappam and chicken butter masala. Ediappam with gravy combination was ultimatum, must try.
It's taste is awesome,but a bit costly.
But,the full goat mandi, etc are very superb. So if you've not gone to this restaurant, please try it once...
We first discovered Savoury in Bangalore, and have been fans of their food and service since then. We have happy to know that Savoury has branches in Chennai too.
We dined at their Velachery branch and our first order was our all time favourite, Pepper Barbecue Chicken. As juicy and as well cooked and delicious as it always is.
The service in all their outlets is always top notch, with warm hospitality, well informed wait staff who always help with great suggestions and the food is always quick to arrive.

Triple floored one - spacious and service was never disappointing in any of my visits. More than enough parking space to accommodate peak velacherry crowd.

Food - ( 3.0 / 3.5 ) - Let me start with the most attractive part - Egg Aappam - yes you read it right! Their egg Aappam became my recent favorites and it goes well with any of the desi curries. Unfortunately other branches of sea shell don't have egg Aappam! Tried fish dopiaza (Must try) and Chettinad chicken (too peppery - only for spice lovers) as sidedish. Their grill chicken and Mexican chicken shawarma stands out as usual ! Please don't disturb the rice / biryani part unless you are interested in Arabian style rice preparation! Threaded paneer was okayish!
On deserts, tried dry fruit shake (didn't suit my taste), faloodas (best as usual), black lady (Again a recent addiction!) , Computer milkshake (Blend of 4 fruits - neither so bad nor too good) and their divine smoking hot brownie with ice cream ๐คฉ
Total - 1.0 + 0.3 + 3.0 = 4.3 ~ 4.0 !!
I've been travelling quite a bit these last few weeks and an impromptu decision led my folks and I to journey between Bangalore and Chennai to visit my sister. We were there for just a couple of days, and we decided to order in some food for my sister's birthday dinner.
Honestly I have nothing to complain about savoury. I'm biased as I patronize them in Bangalore too and would love for them to come to Mumbai.
We had veggie hakka noodles, veggie fried rice, Ginger chicken, Sweet and Sour prawns, french fries and chicken shawarmas. It's an odd pairing, but shawarmas remind us of our gulf up bring. Pricing is appropriate and quantity or quality does not disappoint.

Savoury Sea Shell has always been one of my favourite restaurant for casual dining and this time too it hasn't disappointed me. The menu here is so vast that everytime you come here you could order something new and different.
First time customers can always try with their Arabic cuisines. The Mushakkal (BBQ Platter) is a great option to get a flavour of different BBQ dishes. Riyesh (Mutton Ribs) tasted excellent and even after 24 hrs, I'm still craving for it. It was spicy, had very less meat & the texture of the meat wasn't the best but the taste, hands down tasted really good. The Prawns in the platter, though looked nice and crunchy to eat, the taste wasn't able to do justice to my tastebuds. The squid roast was another spicy dish which was reasonably good. The Tandoori Roti was not at all upto mark, it was not soft enough whereas the Appam though did not have the best texture or fluffiness, it tasted lip-smackingly good.
Overall, the taste of the food here can vary according to different dishes & everything may or may not be the best in town.
The service was little slow while attending tables & taking order. Once you place an order, the hospitality from their side is very low. It could be improved a bit more. All other aspects were excellent including time taken, serving of food, explaining the dishes etc.
The ambience in first floor is great for a casual dining place. Nothing to say on that!

They have wide variety of Arabian food here. Been for Velachery branch for 2 , 3 times. Nice ambiance compared to other branches. Good place for dinner with family.
I went there for a treat.
Their food is delicious.
My only negative would be that they add colour to all their curries and the sugar they use is not of the good kind.
So for one who is health conscious, it may be a bit difficult. But taste wise and service wise, the place is good and would be nice to check it out
Been to their Thousand Lights branch a couple of times, my first visit to the Velachery counterpart was for dinner with family. I took an instant liking to their decor since it was hugely different from the rest of their other branches. The lights weren't too bright with a noisy atmosphere.
My cousins and I ordered Mexican shewarma followed by tandoori chicken. The chicken was well marinated and juicy. The shewarma would be a complete meal for an average eater, it was creamy and delicious with a generous amount of meat in it. The garlic fish starter was also really good. We ordered different parathas including the Kerala paratha which was super flaky and soft. The mutton chettinad and kadai chicken curry were so full of flavours and tasted real good.
I must say, the Velachery branch of seashell is indeed better than the first branch that opened.
This place is known for their sea foods..You get all sea food dishes here and it's amazing..Located in the prime location of Velachery main road.The ambience is good and so is the customer service..

Even though this place seems a bit expensive it's worth the money . An outlet which never fails to satisfy the taste buds and they deliver tasty food till night 2 AM . The quantity is good enough and deliveries and packaging is also really good . The restaurant ambience is not that great i.e, it has got a regular interior as of any other normal hotel . But it is suitable for a lower middle /middle class people . On the whole this place is worthy when you are throwing a party for your friends and home delivery .

Had buffet dinner with family on my wedding anniversary. They have good array of starters and main course with right combination of Veg & Non veg. Dessert disappointed us. Worth for money.
We as a gang of 12 opted for dinner here. Nice ambience with background music. But as the crowd joins, it will be somewhat noisy.
Orders : Fish fingers was very crispy and served with mayo and some fries. ๐ I felt some kind of sweetness in Mayo.
Bbq chicken was cooked well and nothing to complain.
Chicken shawarma (paratha) was large in size and too much of mayo ruined it a bit.
Mutton Briyani was okay. I felt the rice being bland. The mutton which I got is also hard.
Naan along with pepper chicken was good.
Prawn pepper fry is a must try here!!

One of our go-to restaurant is seashell. It's very nearby to my place. To begin with, the service is really good. All the staff are well mannered and cater to our needs. The food is so delicious here. We have been here like more than five times and not even once we were disappointed or gone half full. The shawarmas r out of the world. There's always a special place for the sizzling brownie they serve here. I love the chicken platter and all types of chicken tandoori and grilled items. They serve with mayonnaise and kuboos. U can either choose between kuboos or maida for your shawarma. I had pot mutton biryani and I swear I never had a more tasty briyani anywhere else. Overall I love this place so much and their food is a good value for money. ๐๐
Prawn biryani: prawns were fantastic.the aroma was great.more spices needs to be added in the rice for better taste.
Sniper fish: the presentation of dish was superb.the taste was also nice with gud proper toppings.

I was a bit hesitant to try food from here so far, because being a vegetarian, the thought of smelling fish and stuff inside a 'famous for seafood' restaurant was frankly off-putting. However, feeling adventurous, I tried ordering online on Uber eats and I was pleasantly surprised.
My order had two items - cashew pulao and veg fried rice, and both were excellent. I was surprised to see the amount of cashews they have put in the pulao. Often, I've experienced restaurants skimping on this by going for lower quality (burnt/small) cashews. Not here. No complaints on the quantity of pulao as well. Veg fried rice was also great in terms of taste (with no irritants) and quantity was more than sufficient for one person.

The packing was good.As usual came along with kuboos,garlic sauce.
The spices in the chicken were good.It had that right amount of tiny bit hotness to it.
Not the best barbeque in town but still a good one.

It was good. Maybe the way they make the chicken pieces can be improved.
It was too red in colour but not hot so I doubt that they might have added colouring agent to it.

The food is simply awesome and the presentation is great. You might be discouraged by the lack of a crowd but don't be fooled. One of the best places for Asian cuisine and value for money. They don't skimp on ingredients and you can taste the quality and freshness of the food. Do try the big bowl soups.I hate when established franchises grow stale overtime and everything is overpriced and awful(cough cough mainland china cough). I hope that places like this where you really feel like you've had your money's worth stay alive and stay strong.

Had a great experience. The place was located nearby a lake so the view was good too, near the window. Nice, cozy decor. Polite staff. The food was amazing. Great portions and taste for the price (little on the costlier side but worth it). Gave us complimentary brownie and ice-cream for valentine's lunch and it was so sweet. Overall a great time and would definitely visit again.

If you want to try Thai and Chinese it's a good place. The ambience is very soothing and calm. Though the lighting is dim but it suits the whole ambience. The food is good and taste is also nice. The price is bit high but worth the food quantity and quantity. Perfect for family and kids friendly.

Just had lunch with my family at Orange Wok today. Thai basil fried rice was damn good. The Mee goreng was good too, but I expected that they'd add bok choy and bean sprouts. Overall we had a good time together.

I tried beef for the first time here and trust me it was amazing. The quantity of food is nice here. The quality is very good. When it comes to spices, no body can match them. The prawn satay was amazing. We tried the fried ice crms and a pancake ice cream. Although it wasn't a pancake ice cream at all. I dunno why they named it like that. Overall nice experience.
