I'm a regular here, and the chats here are the best. Really love it. These days I'm just sad that they hiked up the prices and lowered the quantity.

Moved out of the shit subham ganesan sweet stall mandaveli and landed in suriya sweets, mylapore. Mr. Baskar supervisor handled our request so beautifully. The price was a straight 33% less compared to subam ganesan sweet stall. The quality was 100% superior. Thank god i was not cheated by the buffoons of subam ganesan.
Keep up the good job suriya sweets.

regular visitor ! It's one among the trio in my list for eateries ( Mami kadai, Jannal kadai and suriya sweets) in mylapore.
In early days this 3rd musketeer is where i started venturing into chaat items. None of the school cultural in and around mylapore would happen without suriya sweets stall :)
The channa is so good here and paav bhaji too :). Samosa and keera vadai are also decent.
Everyone must try the DHUMBROOT HALWA here. Nothing matches it's taste and punches your taste buds with its flavour.
You cannot stop visiting this place once you have tried their heavenly halwa.

Chaat tastes really good. All their savouries taste very nice. I love their bhel Puri. They give so much for the amount they quote. If you don't want to go till sowcarpet for a good plate of dokhla, the dokhla here is pretty acceptable, but can never be compared to the ones you get there.

Close to where i live, Suriya Sweets is famous as a Chaat Shop. Personally I wouldnt recommend the Chaats here ( may be because everything tastes the same) but i definitely would vouch for the Gulab Jamuns !

A big one for 22 bucks is totally worth it and kinda cheers you up . ;)

Essentially a Sweets and savouries place, one could not be bothered about the ambience or the service. The keera vada and the Bolis are equally tasty and the price is a little on the higher side.

This place reminds me of my school days. As a ex student of Sir Sivaswami Kalalaya, this place was out main attraction for birthday treats. Main things you get to eat are Chats and other savouries. The chat quality may not be like what you would have had in Gangotree, but they still taste good. My suggestion if you go there is to try out the Samoa's. They are really good.

A decent tasting samosa chaat for a bargain price of ₹43. The taste is nice and acceptable and the quantity is good. No complaints. There is very less space to sit and eat. A small table to stand and eat food.

Used to be the hub years ago for school students around this locality. Their cutlets, samosas, chaat and sweet used to be super good. Recently got to try the Bhel Puri here and it was really good and the quantity and quality offered for the price is great. It is priced at 31 rupees and that's the lowest in and around this area. You can customize the chaat options based on your taste. This is definitely a pocket friendly spot for some good evening chaat in Mylapore.

Quality sweets are available in this sweet shop. It is a very busy location on the South Mada Street of famous Kapaleeshwarar Temple. Variety of sweets are available. But, the rate is very high compared to nearby sweet stalls. There is no facility for parking also. The staffs have language barrier also to explain the rates, etc. Non-sweet items are also available, but costly
