Suresh Lax (SLK)

Its one of Cooptex best stores. It has been divided into 2 sections one for all dress materials, saris, shirts etc and other into home furnishings, curtains, bags, bedspread and so on. The furnishings are of export quality all hand woven, some of them naturally colored and 100% cotton (none of the polyester mix that you find elsewhere). Its very affordable for the quality, eco friendliness and the number of weavers it supports. There is also a small write up about the village where these products are made. The store manager Mr.Pervaiz and his staff, is very friendly and greet the customers with a smile. We have bought shirts and fully organic cotton saris on other ocassions here. In total, a shopping experience not to be missed!

Very nice collection of handloom home furnishings- curtains, towels, table cloths, etc. The staff is very friendly and happy to show all the available choices. Please check shop timings and holidays before visiting since it runs on a government calendar

TN State Government's Handloom Textile Retail outlet. I was pleasantly surprised when my spouse had pointed out that the cotton handloom saree we had purchased had the weavers details tag attached to it along with the price tag. Innovative virtual offline connect to the weaver.

I have always been hesitant to visit Co optex showrooms. Hesitant because they are Govt run. Hesitant because i thought that the staff might not be willing to display their wares. But, i was proven wrong today. They had an excellent selection. Lovely! The quality of silk and zari was so good! The staff did a great job of ooening up the sarees for us...They also had a hefty discount sale going..soi purchased a gorgeous pink silk saree at an astounding price. Thank You, Co-optex

Show room is great. They offer discounts for almost 6 months in a year, while certain items are offered discounts throughout the year. It would be better if they maintain good stocks as I found sometimes you do not find variety of designs.

A great place where you can get good home clothing. As the description says it's not women's clothing here. They have a good range of Towels, Bedsheets and other CoOptex made products. Might sound a little costly. But worth the cost. The quality is really good.

They have very durable, very good quality bedsheets, towels, blankets and handloom sarees! Appropriate pricing. Quality of the cloth is very good. But designs and choice is limited. They don't allow returns or exchanges.

Good store which helps some struggling families to come up in life through their hardwork Tamilnadu government gives it customers a rebate of 20% for the purchase made. And it goes upto 30% during festival. Some buy 2 get 1 also available. Every local people should visit these kind of stores and make a purchase!

Visited cooptex for buying cotton sarees. This store is in Pondy Bazaar, few blocks before Holy Angels.They have Salem silk, Manamedu cotton, silk cotton, organic cotton and Kanchipuram.silks. They also have towels,bedspreads, shirrting, and Veshti both 8 and 4 yards. The choices are a bit limited. What I liked is each saree has a tag as who the Weaver is and a small intro and a thank you. Liked it a lot. Would be happy if we have many more choices. There is a Hometex shop of cooptex in the adjacent building.
