Review Al Kababji - Chennai (Madras)

This my favourite hotel for low budget hotel with tasty food. Ambiance won't expected for good quality food. For couples dinner or lunch also preferable. Friendly and timely service and a/c hotel. Easy finding under the Velachery bridge and no disturbing in sideway parking. KVB ATM is the next building so easy to pay cash and card also acceptable. My all time favourite food is plain briyani with chicken kabab, grilled chicken, fried rice.

Not a big restaurant... But it offers more varieties of non veg... Must taste chicken biryani..... Gud of group of 4 .. Where u can enjoy many dishes...

Good Quality Biryani! But the quantity is the problem.. Other dishes like chicken lollipop, chicken 65 are very tasty & spice..

Shawarma is one of the best dishes here. A bit overpriced though. Not the most clean looking place, but the food makes up for it

I've been eating here right from the day they started this restaurant..Szechwan fried rice and grill chicken are their speciality. Affordable prices and good place to hangout with friends.

Try their shawarmas, simply superb. One of the good shawarma joints around velacherry, it never disappoints. Good place to hang out with friends for a quick meet and bite. <br/>P.s the rating is only for their shawarmas

Delivery is fast , we ordered Briyani / chicken friend rice but there is no chicken at all in fried rice , so costly fried rice expected that taste and chicken quantity . Feel upset

One day evening myself and my sister was very hungry , so we have searched a restaurant near velachery around and we found this place which is nearer to velachery railway station and we went inside and searched good place (neat ) to sit , bcoz we find foods were scattered everywhere on the floor , and table top was not cleaned up ,then we ordered plain briyani and chilli prawn . Briyani was so oily and so red in colour and chill prawn was so spicy ,but it's good!!<br/><br/>Recommend to others ??? No

I have dinning there for over an year...the best dish is their tandoori ...their briyani combo is also VFM...once their chicken was bad but they were gud enough to replace it.<br/><br/>Price - very reasonable -4.5/5<br/>Ambience - not very gud but ok -3/5<br/>Taste - very gud -4.5/5<br/>Service - okish -3/5 <br/><br/>

This is the only restaurant where I go if I feel like eating a Chicken Biriyani. For 110 rs it is the best Biriyani you can ever get (when compared hotels selling tasteless tomato rice in the name of Biriyani). If you try here, you will never eat Biriyani anywhere else (it is not over hyping, just try it and you too will tell the same). I have been buying Biriyani here for the past 6 to 7 years and the taste remained the same. Their Biriyani or Kushka along with Brinjal curry filled with whole pepper is something for which I can die for. It will be that tastier.<br/><br/>Their chicken Fried Rice (Rs. 100) is another dish worth mentioning. They use super good quality Basmati rice which is very long. The quantity of rice and the number of chicken pieces you get will be more when compared to any other restaurant. Ask them to make it a bit spicier which will be heavenly to eat. It is worth the money spentThey also have Shawarmas and grilled chicken. The full grilled chicken looks very small in size but it is very costly -- price same as in a high-end restaurant like Zaitoon or Sea Shell which they could reduce considering the shop size.<br/><br/>They have recently expanded the space and included a AC room which can accommodate 20 to 25 people easily. They also started a fresh juice shop in their premises.<br/><br/>One thing I don't like from them is that they are not interested in getting paid using a credit or debit card. They prefer cash payments. So, they simply say that the machine is not working. <br/><br/>Once if you say that you go to other restaurant, they come back to us and say that they will try their other machine. Also they might be the only ones in hotel industry (as far as I know), who charge 2% for using credit cards

Ordered chicken fried rice , and its just 100 rupees. Taste is good, not too spicy and the taste was perfectly blended. Value for money ,simple packaging ,and good amount for 2. Chicken ,carrot and beans blends well with the spice .Love this place and #pocketfriendly.They do deliver as well.Would give 4.5 since I haven't tasted other items from menu.

I go here every weekend.. Because the food is very good in taste and very delicious.. The price is really low and they make quality foods.. Worth for money.. Service is much better.. This is just awesome when compared to other quickies in velachery..

The food is good n its quantity is high .... They extended its so it's more good now... Totally loved it .....grill and tandoori is also good naan and all are good too ... Shawarma is good .....

Kinda OKish bhai kadai, you get great deals there and the ambience is below par. The shawarma is the show stopper over there and tastes yummy 😋. Overall this place is for ppl who r broke and need a quick meal and dont care about the meaty smell.

This place will give you the best value ffor money. We picked up a dozen chicken biryanis and Chicken rice packets for our lunch time break. It was good. All colleagues enjoyed it...total value for money. But they open shop rather late.

Grill chicken - it was 'grilled' greatly. The masala was perfect. Some good grill after a long time. But the meat is definitely not fresh. <br/>Shawarma roll - too much of mayonnaise increased the taste but high probability to end in thigattifying. <br/>Anyhow, this place is definitely VFM.

Went here after watching a cinema in grand mall with brother Vasanth Anthony and his five friends .The place is closeby Velachery railway station . So the place is always packed .I entered doubtful of the hygiene and the quality . The place is small, the crowd mostly being people returning home from work and friends eating out .The food was surprisingly good .The chicken and schezwan rice were tasty .We couldn't get a grill as it was sold out so we had to settle for a tandoori .Tandoori was well cooked and I recommend the reader to try it .I ended up leaving the place having tasty food at a comparatively cheap price and I dint experience any stomach problems that night , so that's a good sign as well. If you have a small budget but want to enjoy tasty grill , tandoori or fried rice I would recommend this place

Best place to have Grill chicken and shawarma .Was great to have there .It is highly pocket friendly .Rice (chicken,egg)rice is good .Arabian dishes are very great to have ,no dessersts and other things available .No parking available .dosent look like a place to take family.But good taste without having wasted more of your penny.

It's an average place with Grill chicken ,shawarma and dried rice. Once ordered grill chicken and shawarma roll.Shawaema roll tastes good but grill chicken is not hot and it seems to grilled before few hours it lacks the punch.Will try another time .

Its a pocket friendly place, so we can't expect amazing food from this place. We had tandoori chicken, roti's and fried rice here out of which tandoori tastes average, rotis could have been much better and i didn't like the fried rice here. Service was good but these guys lack hygiene.

A budget place for good grilled chicken and shawarmas with friends. Not advisable for families though. For families, If you really want to have a taste try taking away the grilled chicken and having at home. The grilled chicken and the tandoors are undoubtedly the highlights.

Good food... Chicken, Mutton etc... Not heavy on your pocket too... U can have a good meal for two in 450 includes half tandoori and a gravy dish with 4-5 butter naans.. Amazing place for chicken lovers... They prepare their own green chutney which is a must have with tandoori or grilled item.. So do ask for that...<br/><br/>Would like to add that the hygiene of the surrounding place is bad... Please make that better... and even the wash basin is placed inside the eating area... Please make a seperate area by blocking the view or place it outside.... please do consider these...
