They are serving delicious food. All kinds of South Indian foods are available. Especially Kerala food is very good and tasty. You can try Malabar food items also. We feel like serving homely food. Very good behaviour from staff side. If you prefer for something delicious, Go for it…🫶

The restaurant have been renovated and reopened recently. The restaurant is now run by a completely new management. The dishes are completely new( No beef items are served here now). The food is bit over priced, but tastes good and with good quantity. The restaurant is very neat and clean and also suitable for family dining.

A little lovely Kerala restaurant. All their dishes are decently priced. They have all kinds of veg&non-veg options. Staff is very polite and their service is fast too. The aroma of fresh food cooked in coconut oil is just amazing..Porottas& Appams are among best one..and the chicken and beef were so soft, tasty and tender. Like, one curry can be shared by two people easily. Yummy food. Please go try this place everyone.

Must try picks: Kizhi Porotta, Beef Ularthuyathu, Kappa Biriyani, Karimeen Polichathu, and finally Malabar Porotta. The traditional spicy flavour of Kerala can be sensed from these picks. The most fascinating point is that the spices are equally balanced which gives a wholesome taste of the food. And the most notable point is that these picks are ranged at the most affordable and considerable prices as well. Must try it dear folks@Chennai.

It is a really good place to have one of the best biryani and other dishes in chennai. And it can be felt as soon as you reach the place. It's always crowded. The best thing they are good at is maintaining the crowd. Even on a busiest day , you won't have to wait for more than 5 minutes to get a table for your family and you. The food tastes amazing.

The new pamba is my go to when I'm having a really bad day. And they have the best Kerala food in that budget. Personal favorites fish curry meals with red rice and Malabar biriyani & beef roast.

One of the best options in the area for yummy Kerala beef varieties. I've been visiting this place for years just to have their parottas and Kerala beef fry and curries. Takeaways are a best option here than dine in. The taste is their plus point.

I have been there few months ago but when i visited recently the hotel seems to lack the quality and taste it initially had..If they still continue providing food without quality or taste then they are sure gonna lose the customers..I had a bitter experience.. 👎👎

Great place. Can't expect ambience. Although I would say a the ambience is that of a Kerala mess. Don't forget to order their beef roasts and other related dishes. Very simple and homely food. And like many others have elaborated, i put my authority and stamp to say: You can't get this taste in any 5-🌟 hotel..... Definitely not!!!!!

Went here on a friend's recommendation for the beef.

Ambience is your average Kerala mess. And most of the food is also quite similar.

They don't have 'stew', which more upscale restaurants serve, and their 'kurma' is like the traditional Kerala peas curry, with vegetables thrown in. And much thicker.

The appams were proper Kerala style, and so were the parottas.

THE BEST PART: The beef ularthiyathu that we had. The meat was decent, but the flavour was something else entirely. It is definitely a must try. I personally had a Ratatouille moment, upon my first taste of the beef.

Go eat here. It won't burn your pockets, but it'll be awesome for your taste buds.

A very mediocre kerala cuisine restaurant suitable for ppl looking for awesome taste alone. The restaurant interiors are not so attractive but the taste stands tall when compared to many costly restaurants. The Parotta's and the beef recipes are the best here, and i bet no other 5 star or 7 star hotel could give you such a taste. We always go here whenever we are hungry and we have a budget contriant... for a group of 6, eating full stomach costed us only 1150 rs... the waiters and the cook are very friendly... if you are someone who expect neatness, clean tables and attractive interiors pls ignore this one.. this is pure b class, super tasty restaurant... i bet no other restaurants on this earth will make such tasty parottas... i have been here so many times... i just love this place...

The rudimentary restaurant in the hub of the Spurtank road. Being a regular Mallu cuisine person, it's indeed mandatory not missing this out.

As said, it's in the hubspot of the Spurtank road and it's opposite to palimer restaurant. Parking is on the road as there isn't an exclusive parking space.

The ambiance is shady and shabby. It does give a feel of scarcely maintained college canteen. As expected the menu is filled with Malabar dishes.

Had Egg aapam, Ceylon parotta with kadla curry. The Egg aapam was not so good but went along with curry. The Ceylon parotta was a bit hard to bite but after soaking in curry, it was eatable. The curry was bland and needed spices.

The service around was a bit lazy for the crowd. The prices are economical but the quality of dining experience need to be maintained.

The best place for beef. The beef biriyani is the best. This is the place where malluz must visit at least once. Its a small place like old Kerala hotels. But the food they serve is awesome. You will get the best kappa biriyani and beef fry

Small little traditional Kerala restaurant. The menu has quite a few of the traditional recipes that my grandma used to make at home so was rather excited to try everything. We ordered 4 mains and 2 snacks. One of the few places in this side of town to make beef biryani so had to try it. Potions were nominal but taste was certainly nostalgic. May not visit again as the place is a little tight but would certainly do take away again.

It is this little Mallu joint at Spurtank Road, Chetpet. You would have to be careful with the number of people you would want to go with there as it is a very small place and accommodates only up to 15-20 people. It is the closest affordable Biriyani provider from college! It consists of a typical Mallu menu. best things to have would be the Beef Biriyani and Beef Fry. Not very Vegetarian Friendly and one might have to think twice before ordering anything Vegetarian. I suggest going Eggitarian for a day would be a wiser choice. At least if you're the odd one out amongst a whole bunch of your Non-Vegetarian friends.

Pamba used to be our every weekend food joint. When i say every weekend, every sunday after church almost 10-15 of us go there since its very close to our church. Now its a very small mallu restaurant with the normal mallu food in the menu. The best what i have had and is the parotta and beef fry.(must try) Its just awesome. Medium sized parottas with beef fry. The beef fry is slightly low in quantity. We might have to get an extra plate. Ive also had our Kerala puttu and kadala which is also Ok. I wldnt recommend this for every one but mostly a malu might like it. The meals which they serve is also ok,(non veg). You might wanna get a fish fry with the meals to make it lil more interesting. The restaurant itself is very low on ambiance. I wld give it jus 2/5 and has only one ac room which is also small and can accomodate hardly 10 ppl. So if another group who wants to sit in the ac room might have to wait. Altogther a feel good, value for money restaurant for a person who is not into the looks. My over all rating for this restaurant wld be 3.

So I stepped in to Pamba Restaurant and from the get go, noticed that the place oozes Mallu and that is a good thing in such a situation. I straight away ordered Malabar Parottas with Beef Ularthiyadhu (Dry fried beef with shallots, coconut and curry leaves), the Karimeen fry and the Chicken Stew. The Parottas seemed a little dry than what I'm used to but went really well with the Chicken Stew. The Stew is light and flavorful with tender pieces of chicken fillet. I thoroughly enjoyed the Beef which happened to be tender and spicy. The curry leaf flavor was unmistakable and the coconut scrapings really gave it that extra Mallu flavor. The Karimeen fry too was exceptionally good. The fish was perfectly crisp and spicy with moist white meat on the inside. A word of advice; ask the server to make the fish "very spicy" which makes it even better. Overall, it was a great meal and great value for money. This restaurant rightfully deserves to have its praises sung and so we shall!
