They gave me room for my family when Chennai was badly hit by rain & floods this month (Dec 2023).
My mother was sick & admitted in BSS Hospital and we had to stay nearby.
Thanks to the General Manager. He was kind enough to somehow accommodate us. He was certainly service minded. I was so busy I couldn't even ask for his good name!
The F&B team in the restaurant were really kind.
The location is perfect.
This hotel has lots of trees & hence, the entire place is cool.
Hotel is bit old place still preserve it's former glory. You can see things looks pretty outdated. Staff is friendly and attentive and room is very spacious and cleanly. Bed was very comfortable and a/c was ok and hotel provide really good wifi. Breakfast buffet consisted with Indian and continental options and staff was very attentive at the restaurant. The hotel situated in a really busy junction and it is not very easy accessible to malls or shopping areas nor metro. Hotel has its own restaurant and room service but as a foreigner I wanted to try food from local restaurants but not many favourable options around the area.

I stayed at the hotel for 45 days. As a foreign national from the drop off at the hotel till i took my leave after 45 days the Hotel and the staff served me very well. I was on business matters. Hotel staff is really good and they will help you with anything. They are very flexible too. My room and bathroom was cleaned everyday, they provided water bottles and changed linens and towels everyday. Breakfast was complimentary. They also have a really good ala cart menu and you can either order room service or can go to the restaurent and order anything you want. Food is good too. I use to order every kind of different item during my stay. Indian or chinese or american everything came out nicely. Compliments to the chef. During my stay i didnot use the pool as it was mostly used for kids and teaching and i also didnot have much time to spend in the pool. Breakfast is served at the restaurent till 10am. you will have varities such as idly,bread and jam, kichdi,poori,pongal, vadai, sambar and chutney along with cereals milk and juices. And you can also order omelettes and dosa over the counter for free. I thought i invented cheese dosa & cheese omelette which was my go to breakfast at the hotel along with other items in the buffet. I will come back for sure. Many thanks for all the support Hotel staff and specially restaurent staff..you guys served me well. Keep up the good work
This hotel is located at the city centre of Chennai which makes easy to travel to every corner of the city. Hotel staff is well behaved and friendly. Breakfast was excellent with buffet options. Room was clean. Bedsheet and pillow was well washed. Water was clean. Overall a best place to stay.
Foods are very good. Room was neat and clean. Very satisfied. Thanks to our tour operator and hotel.
First stay in Chennai and had a great experience. Overall, I would rate 10/10. The location, ambience, surroundings, staff, cleanliness, food, etc everything was perfecto. It gives a 4 star luxury and worth every penny.
Very good experience for 6 days. Food is good. Breakfast complimentary. Swimming pool is clean. Staff is polite and helpful. Quick same day laundry.
If you are using public transport, then this will not be a good option as area is but away from mainstream. Only 1 bus line.
Otherwise a pleasant experience.

This hotel is very beautiful and having beautiful ambience and views are just awesome. Coming to food it's is very good and healthy.

We had booked Raj Palace Sundhar for my brother's wedding reception...
I need to confess that I had a wonderful experience....right from the welcome drink.....the buffet..... tasty food....the ambience.....the staff....the service.....everything.
The hall was perfectly air conditioned even at his full....overflowing... capacity.
We had a birthday party and it was so awesome and well organised. The hospitality was too good. The food was delicious and served well. All our guest were happy on the occasion. The rooms were also so neatly maintained. The complete hotel ambience was really a place to relax yourself......
We thank all your staff for their sincere work and great support.
I stayed for one night before flying from chennai and had a great experience. Rooms very very clean and tidy. Nice decor. Room service good.
One amazing story of customer service, while I was out I stood in dog poop and needed to clean before entering the hotel late in the night. One of the attendants from behind reception came and showed where it can be washed and then went ahead and cleaned it for me with such a care for the customers experience. Wouldn't take any money either

Very good stay for 2 nights. Customer friendly person at the reception and so were the housekeeping and room service personnel. Room was neat and clean on the ground floor, good enough for 2. Restaurant was veg+non-veg. Since we are vegetarians, ordered room service of kal dosa. Good taste. They could reduce the quantity of sambar and chutney.
They arranged a cab for us to go outstation at the last minute and also to Central station early in the morning. The driver was also very polite. We were delayed while coming back from the outstation trip. We called them and requested them to keep some food and milk in the room. They did so.
The location is next to Andhra mahila sabha. There is metro work going at the roundabout near the hotel. If you are coming from beach road, go round towards rk mutt road and then left on to cp ramasamy road and then come to Greenways road and enter the hotel. Otherwise, you will have to go all the way to the adayar flyover, take a u turn and come back.
I went to attend one marriage reception over there. Decent n commit compact place. Parking place not enough to adopt all vehicles but atmosphere was good. Swimming pool n restaurant also there
The hotel is a great place to stay at a very good price. Staff are courteous and caring, and the food is excellent. They even have cab services which we can avail for convenience whose drives are professional and know all the places in the city.

Marvelous customer support..a separate luggage room is available to keep our luggage..food is extraordinary..in particular dosa served for bbf is topnotch.. service is very very good..since the location of the hotel is in the center of the city, very easy to reach many places in the city circle..
Location is good, the property is a pity old one, it has good infrastructure, little planning of refurbishment can turn it to 5 star property.
Raj Palace Sundar has become one of our favorite places to visit for stay, food and conducting events. Courteous staff and amazing food!
