It's a nice date place with great rich kinda ambience. The view from rooftop is delightful to watch while enjoying your food. Food is ofc pretty costly but the taste is good. If u have a high budget and looking for a good ambience, you should go here.

The ambience was set to feel the weather. We were seated outdoors. The sushi is mind blowing. The dumpling was good too. We had the 🍲 which was appetizing !!

Nice rooftop ambience. Food was good. Completely Asian menu.
Bon Appetite
The food was so good I didn’t have time to take pics. Trust me the Gyoza, Mexicano Sushi, Salted Edamame and Hot & Sour soup were ammmaaaazzziiiing. The sauces were wonderful and partly the reason for this rating. They have decent vegetarian options. The terrace level restaurant was packed to the rafters indicating its popularity. The service was quick and the crew were very attentive and polite. Being situated in the Novotel hotel parking is not an issue. I’d recommend booking a table before going.

A most excellent place to chill out. Great food and staff. They were most cordial and hospitable. Some varieties of the sushi can get a little spicy but if you tell them that, they can modify it for you. The chef even made a customised salmon maki for me and it was wonderful. Seating wise, the place can get a lil' congested but if you come in early, you can get the best spots. The view is calming and the hotel is easy to access even if there's traffic. Been here on a few occasions and they always try to accommodate you but it's better to reserve in advance.

One of the best places for a cozy dinner in Chennai with amazing views. The food was great. Only gripe was the service was a tad slow which was understandable considering that we went during peak dinner time. Will definitely visit again.

One of the best places to enjoy the food and ambiance. The place is at a walkable distance from Nandanam metro station. The staff are very courteous and the food is finger licking good. And they have one of the best collections of drinks at the bar that I've seen in and around Chennai.

To begin, you are sold by the ambience and maybe to an extent with their appetizers and cocktails. Things start to go downhill from there. Entrees options were limited and taste wise average. Desserts esp the spongy Japanese cake was a big disappointment. Seems like their focus is just cocktails and appetizers, I would recommend to do the same. It is a nice place for a friendly catch up or a date night. They need to improve their beer options. I had 2 to choose from and both were equally bad. I would recommend their Aura cocktail.

There's a lovely vibe about this place. After having spent most of my time in Chennai on daytime work visits it was very nice to experience the night life and that too at this popular place i had heard about. I felt very comfortable with the food, the space, the music & ambience and a major plus was the bar manager so passionately showing us everything he has developed at the bar, the custom devices he has designed etc. It was a very nice last night out. Would love to go back

Was there to meet up with old friends. I'm a teetotaler. Good food. Portions were a bit small. Their bar has a good selection. And the staff were attentive. The place was a bit dark and the music needs to be subdued so you can hear people. Other than that, I would totally recommend this place.

One of the best restaurants for Japanese cuisine. Great location on the rooftop. Amazing variety of dishes and liquor and cocktails/mocktails. In restaurant and outdoor seating available. Great service.

The rooftop ambience is great in the evening and they provide good selection of cocktails, variety of Asian food & desserts. They only drawback we faced was the service, it took about 25 mins for the drinks to arrive, food was delicious. The matcha cake was superb. Overall a good dining experience.

Went to the new year party at Koox. The food was amazing, especially the Sushi and the Prawn Robata. Also in house cocktails were to die for! Overall a good experience. Definitely worth a visit

Really had a wonderful experience in this restaurant where we went to celebrate a birthday event.Inorder to suprise the birthday girl we ordered a cake before our visit there to Mr.karthick and all he wanted to know was what was the message to be added on the cake and after finishing our dinner with a fancy touch of dishes like sushi lobster, finally as per the commitment given to us they did bring the cake which made the birthday girl go wow and that particular thing made our day, once again a big thanks to karthick and his team for providing an excellent level of customer service, they took care of us very nicely like even without we telling them anything they were able to identify our needs and satisfy it….I personally recommend this place for its ambience, food and more than that to get a wonderful customer experience.

I had the opportunity to taste the dishes from “Dosojin Matsuri” — The Japanese Fire Festival at Koox Rooftop Asian Grill. The beautiful ambience of the rooftop restaurant invites you to a city view with the cold January breeze. I started my meal with the Tumpa lotus stem, crispy lotus stem cooked with sweet and spicy sauce. The Malala chicken, a crunchy golden fried chicken tossed with dried hot Thai chilli peppers, Sichuan pepper corns and green onion. The creamy and sweet Avocado beetroot tartare with honey dressing and hydroponic mixed herbs, completely cooled down the palette after the spicy food, prepping it for the mains. Now for the exiting part... The dishes from the festival menu on the famous Robata Grill with the smoky flavors! The Pork chop 🥩 was juicy and tender and the whole fish 🐟, literally fell of the bones! Both the pork and fish had a simple marination, enhancing the flavours of the meat. The Teriyaki duck was an absolute burst of flavours with the crackle of the duck skin and the meat still soft, with the teriyaki sauce soaked in. The chef had different appetising sauces as dips. 🍃 A Rocket leaf and jalapeño based sauce with, grapes, garlic, salt and pepper, 🧅 A Wafu onion sauce with, soy sauce, rice vinegar, roasted sesame seeds, and grated onion, 🧄 The “Minuku sauce” with roast garlic sauce with olive oil, And the Yakiniku sauce which is a mixture of savory and sweet flavors with bold sesame essence. Their sushis are literally the best! I finished my meal with their signature Crazy 8 sushi with shrimp and the sweet and tangy grilled pineapple for dessert! Overall it was a great journey into the world of Japanese cuisine. Thank you team Koox and Novotel Chamiers Road for bringing to us the flavors of Japan.

Koox Rooftop chennai - located at T floor (Novotel chamiers). Amidst Mountroad traffic koox is elegant place to spend some quality time at heart of city with beautiful view and breezy winds! This place is Japanese but tbh less Japanese on the menu. They have raboki grills and sushis. Their sushi were unanimously - The best i ever had. It was super fresh & yummy. Oh my…I would visit this place again only for those. The taste & plating was top notch. You cannot expect faster service. Our dishes took minimum 20-25 minutes apart from mock-tails and beverages They have pleasing ambience with good quality food. I would personally rate this place as one of the best rooftops in chennai.

Koox Rooftop Restaurant at the 5 star hotel Novotel in Chennai is an absolutely stunning Restaurant in Chennai, India. It serves continental w a concentration on the Japanese cuisine. I went there w my family for dinner and we were in love w the place and it's food in no time. We ordered 2 varieties of sushi's, some starters like lettuce, garlic Japanese sticky rice, noodles, and some drinks. The quality of the food was excellent and the portions were quite filling. Only, the Sushi's were slightly smaller in size. The menu had many veg options, especially in Sushi's they had 9 varieties of veg sushi which really impressed me as most 5 star hotel restaurants have very little to choose from when it comes to veg food in an international cuisine. After our meal, the chef personally greeted us and asked us how the food was. I liked this as it demonstrated how much they truly care about the customers and improving their food, great gesture. The restaurant was itself so beautiful and picturesque that it looks like as if it has been photoshopped. The vibes and ambience is great with good music surrounding the area. Koox is on the expensive side but truly worth it. Recommend this place to all Japanese food lovers 😋
