Excellent chinese, superb service. I love the fact that filter coffee is available. Was little too light for my taste but excellent. Butter garlic prawn was surprisingly very spicy! Tasty but I had to excuse myself from the table after having it

I have tried pumpkin tales in the past and was eager to try Zhouyu- its sister restaurant. The ambience is elegant, not over the top and has well decorated interiors. The food was excellent, I highly recommend the broccoli dimsum, the shitake mushroom soup and the lotus stem. Eventhough the portion size is small, and the pricing steep, the food is authentically Chinese and is definitely worth it! Overall 4.6/5 stars from me!

Reviewing based on a Malaysian Chinese point of view. Food was great. Ingredient used were all premium and quality. Ordered mostly dim sum. Taste wise - very different from the authentic Chinese cuisine (due to it is localise to suit the local tastebud). Nevertheless still a good one. Service were great as well. Some waiter were inexperienced when it comes to introducing their signature dishes. However, practice makes perfect. No doubt about that. Overall, a good place to drop by if you are missing food from home. Heard that it is opened by a Singaporean.

Our favorite spot & the best Chinese restaurant in the city. Great aesthetic and ambience. Super quality, tasty food, and an excellent service team who would recommend you the best items based on your palate. Keep up the good work, team Zhouyu

Delicious food, Courteous staff and Central location make Zhouyu a wonderful place to have dinner. Dim sum, radish cake, chongqing fried rice and guangzhou street noodles made up our dinner and we will go back for more menu options. A big thank you to the girls serving patrons - you are the best - graceful, courteous and elegant. Parking is not an issue. Just park in one of the side lanes or if driving yourself there is dedicated parking for owner driven cars.

Having followed Zhouyu on Instagram and being a regular visitor to Pumpkin Tales. We'd decided last minute to visit this restaurant. Called at 12.30 and made a reservation for 3, with a special request that we be provided a sofa as our 2 year old is quite frisky. We were greeted and shown to a comfortable seating space that was ample for my daughter, wife and I. The iced Milo boba tea and Strawberry Kombucha we'd ordered were both amazing. Our appetizers were the Spicy chicken dimsum and the Chill Oil Wontons, both exceeded expectations. Our mains consisted of Xian Noodle (mushroom) and a side of General Tsos chicken. Both were very nice, and we had to pack the leftovers as we couldn't finish them. We finshed with ,Orange creme brulee for dessert. It was divine. Do not miss trying this out if you visit. The freshly brewed Chinese green tea was very flavorful and I couldn't help but indulge in several cups (big green tea fan). I had no problems paying the 5% optional service charge as I felt we were taken very good care of by the management and staff. 5/5, will visit again soon!

Last week, I visited Zhouyu in Alwarpet with a friend for dinner, and it was a delightful experience. We were warmly welcomed with jasmine tea, setting the tone for the evening. We ordered the mutton broth soup, coconut treasure prawn appetizer, Hakka Noodles, fried chicken, and garlic rice. Every dish was exceptional, making it one of the finest dining experiences in Chennai. I highly recommend booking a table and giving it a try

Even at 7.30 PM, the restaurant is packed. And 2 seaters sandwiched between family tables. There's a definite buzz in the air beyond the conversations happening at other tables. Next to us, a family seems to be lapping up the whole menu. Everything from starters to the main course, they aren't leaving anything out. And with healthy appetites, the plates are cleaned out soon after they're served. On our left is a tongue tied young couple. It looks like an awkward date and the food should probably get the conversation going. And even after the orders arrive, they peck at the food. Either the proximity to other diners is the problem. Or that this requires more privacy. We order the hot and sour soup. With tofu liberally added to it, the soup is sharp, sour and tangy. Good start. Then, the appetisers - Lotus roots and peanut dimsums are served. With translucent skins, they're hot and cutting through releases little wisps of heat. Add a dash of sauce and they go down pretty quickly. Things are getting interesting Then the main course - claypot mushroom and rice. Enough for two. And no side dishes required. The quantity is liberal. And we're glad we stuck to a light starter. The dish requires no sauces at all and the chef has balanced things out perfectly And we close with the pomegranate pavlova. Cream on top stuffed with pomegranate gems on a crisp, sweet pastry. Good combination The service is efficient and a little distant. That fine dining emphasis on - we know what's right. By the time we leave, the parking lot is tightly parked and the rain - not a regular feature in the city is making people dash into interiors before they are soaked I don't know what Zhouyu means but the food speaks for itself

I enjoyed dining at Zhouyu, a visually appealing restaurant with charming interiors. The service was excellent, and the waitresses, elegantly dressed, served with delightful smiles. The Xo Fried Rice Prawn and Crispy Chilli Garlic Fish were delicious, and the Orange crème brûlée and Chocolate Caramel Tart for dessert were exceptional. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I look forward to exploring more dishes from their menu.
