The venue is located at a prime location in chennai near Guindy. Ambience is excellent. Staff were so kind. We initially booked table for ala carte but decided to go for buffet in reaching the venue. The staff accepted our request and helped. The food was decent. Veg starters which had panneer and aloo kebab was excellent. Main course was usual ones. Desserts were less but taste was good.
Very stunning restaurant. Very posch and upscale. Staff was very friendly and provided excellent service. We had a wide range of foods. The pork and kebabs were delicious. The lamb was okay, feel like they added to much other stuff in the kebab. The kimchi skewer and fried rice was amazing. It is definitely on the pricier side with a lot of extra fees for alcohol
Well, this one was expected to be great and I can only say it is up to the high expectations. I have tried Tom yum goong and fish curry. Both spicy as requested and simply delicious, to the extend that it is hard to say which one was better. Highly recommend. On a funny side, they seem to celebrate Octoberfest here, so there was a dedicated menu for this event with some German specialities. After careful consideration I have decided to skip those 😏
The Flying Elephant at The Park Hyatt hotels is located in the heart of Chennai and is definitely worth checking out if you're looking for some delicious food. The Bangkok fried chicken is a crispy and flavorful dish that is made with a blend of spices and cooked to perfection. It is typically served with a sweet and tangy dipping sauce. The Jack Daniels old fashioned Boti Kebab is a juicy and tender dish that is marinated in a blend of spices and then grilled to perfection. The flambe made with Jack Daniels adds a unique touch of sweetness and depth to the dish, making it a great dish to pair up. If you happen to visit The Flying Elephant, be sure to say hello to Naresh - he's one of the staff members and is always happy to help out. If you're looking for a great dish to try out, he'll be more than happy to make some recommendations based on your preferences. Overall, The Flying Elephant is the perfect place to go for a delicious meal and a great atmosphere.
It was a great day at The Flying Elephant. We went for Sunday brunch. It was my husband's birthday. We had a wide variety of starters, main course and desserts. We also have mocktails and cocktails. It was a Marvel theme for kids that week. So they enjoyed it well. It was a good day well spent.
Dinner is the best time to visit this place. Very good ambience with good lighting’s around. Just try pizza and 1 chicken side. This is more than enough for a couple so that you end up getting reasonable bill amount. It’s really a good place to spend for food on a 5 star category.
Good Sunday brunch and great table service from Bala and Ananthu.
Good spread of Asian and continental.
The food was nice. The ambience is breathtaking. A bit on the pricey side, because obviously it is a star restaurant.
We have been here two times now and it is still our favourite buffet in Chennai.
We wanna start off with the service because it was absolutely spectacular. People came up to us in regular intervals to check whether we needed something and did it as soon as possible.
When we visited the live stations, they explained the different items that they had. They also recommended dishes according to our pallete.
The Staff also did a little dance for the guests in the middle which was awesome.
Service : 10/10
The Food Spread is also absolutely Amazing. They had an Indian Spread + Chaat Station + Charcoal Grill + Cheese and Meat on the Ground Floor.
The First Floor had Asian, Italian, Middle Eastern, Desserts and also some non veg grills.
They had a Momo Station, a live Pasta Station and a live Pizza Station.
Everything from the Drink to the Starter to the Dessert was amazing.
Food : 10/10
The Vibe was also amazing. The Ground floor overlooks the pathway in the water body near the Ganesha Statue and it was a pleasure to watch. We only wish we'd been here at night for the views.
Atmosphere: 10/10
Some of our favourite dishes
Pork Belly - Not a huge fan of pork but this kinda changed it. It basically melts in your mouth.
Duck stuffed Pesto Pasta - This was from the Live Counter and we did not expect Pesto to be this creamy. Would absolutely recommend.
Chicken and Cheese Momo - This was from the Momo Counter and they served this in a coconut based broth which was super hearty.
If you're wondering which dessert to get, our recommendation would be the same as the people at the counter - "Get all of them".
Everything was amazing. What stood out was the Rose Lamington - Rose Flavoured Coconut covered cake. Also the Strawberry cake that they had was one of the fluffiest cake we've ever had.
Overall Rating : 10/10. Would go again in a heartbeat.
Woulh highly recommended their Sunday Brunches to everyone.
Before starting the review lemme tell this without even thinking pls book a table for this place if you're thinking to go.. Food was amazingly good with all varieties of food and cuisines possibly available with high class ambience which has very nice pond view also.. I would say their salmon graviax, grills and kebabs were amazing and coming to alcohol the cocktail super hero which is orange flavoured vodka drink and sangria was good and also must try is their flavoured vodka shots.. Best place to go for Sunday brunch at an affordable price where I spent 6k for 2 person inclusive of alcohol which is also unlimited.. service also was top notch and I would tell this is the best deal you can get in the city for this kinda standard.. Highly recommended place for an occasion.. overall had very good experience and this place is THE BEST IN TOWN👌
