Review Inseoul Korean - Chennai

Lynda Andrew
Good place to have Korean dishes with good ambience and hospitality. But the only problem is the construction which is happening nearby so road is blocked and is kinda difficult to find the restaurant. I ordered chicken Dolsot Bibimbap which was really tasty. Got side dish nd complementary soup with that. The hospitality was really good and people were sweet there. They helped to mix the Bibimbap when I asked them to. Total cost Rs630. Overall a good experience✨.

New seoul is one of the place for you if you’re new to Korean and Japanese cuisine. Tried few of the dishes and I was surprised they have such a delicious menu . I personally loved their Chicken bokkeum bap ( Fried rice) and kanpungi (Spicy Garlic fried chicken ) Not really a fan of kimchi fried rice since it’s an acquired taste but my wife loves it a lot ! They do serve soju ☺️ I would recommend this place for people who would love to have good time experiencing different cuisine.

This is not my first visit here but the kimchi stew is my go to here :) even the bibimpap was really good! Things are different now because of the metro construction :( getting here by foot is the best option but I'm glad they're still open! There is no name board also so I suggest calling them and getting directions to go. I absolutely loved the Japchae this time and my friend liked her Jjampong and sushi as well.

Went to explore some authentic Korean and Japanese cuisine. All the items were really really good! It was soulful and fulfilling. If broth based food items are up your palette, then if you don't mind trying out new cuisine, their food is really good! The ambience of the place reminds you of the 90s a bit, probably coz of the lighting and design of the place. It has a bakery attached to it and you get some really tasty Korean breads, which were yum! You can always ask the staff for suggesting the bestsellers. I'd definitely go back to this place if I ever visit Chennai again. :)

It's one of my favourite korean restaurant in Chennai, in my stay there i have visited there a number of times, they serve authentic korean food which are very tasty, but do know they come with a price.

Great food and great ambiance.. the place is a little bit difficult to find due to metro work. Karagae is a little bit soggy and bland, due to the thick batter.. otherwise everything is good. Service is good.. must try

If you are looking for authentic Korean style food then New seoul is one of the place for you Prices are reasonable Ambience is good but I personally find it warmer! No alcohol served My personal fav food *Chicken Kim Bab* *Kimchi Boukkum Bap* ( Kimchi fried rice) Dak Yangnyeom ( sticky sweet and spicy chicken) Heamul Chapche - Chicken stir fried glass noodles You can select between veg , beef , chicken for most of the dishes! Tried Potato Cheese korokke from Japanese menu We personally didn’t like the Jjajang Myeon the most hyped dish Overall a good place if you are kpop , kdrama fans and who always wanted to try Korean cuisine

Tried their korean cheesecake and loved it. Would recommend to choose for takeaways as the place is small to accommodate dining. The route was slightly confusing due to the road construction.

EXPRESS REVIEW: Their Sushi dishes are mind-blowing 🔥 DETAILED REVIEW: ♦️ BUDGET : ₹1200 for one. Pricey resturant but worth it. ♦️FOOD : I do not remember the names lest pronounce it . Ordered the chicken glass noodle soup, a chicken starter, prawn starter , sushi sand 3 varities of cake. They also served a complimentary dessert Sushi dish as it was new year ❤️❤️ They also give a few small bowl of starter salad. The quantity of soup was generous , one bowl would serve 4. Taste wise everything was super fab. Tip: don't ask for plates, they serve in those individual bowls. And also check their timing before walking in. Eat - Sushi and the Avoid - Cakes ♦️LOCATION+AMBIENCE: Centrally located in teynampet . 10 min away from MRTS and metro Decent decor. They've got a spiral staircase in there. ♦️ SERVICE : They were extremely polite. We went on new years eve afternoon, and stayed beyond the closing time and they didn't complain about it. Kudos 👌 Instagram: @parameshwar.tudu

For all the Korean delicacy lovers this is your go to place!! The food is really good with affordable prices. You get a variety of dishes to choose from. There's also a Japanese menu available for anyone who'd like Japanese food.

Good atmosphere with separate Japanese and Korean menu. Lots of varieties. Reviewing after my second visit to New Seouls. Had kimbap, kimchi stew with fish cake and onigiri. Food was piping hot. One thing is that... U need to confirm the availability of the food item whereas one person said onigiri was not available but later I asked other person, he said it is available and served it hot. They even have a halal menu...

I just Love this place.. South korean food served here is the best and the side dishes are too good which will only fill your stomach. Quick service and friendly staff. Would strongly recommend to those who love korean cuisine. A place where you can get Soju also😬

It's my first time in a Korean Restaurant And it was really pleasing with a peaceful ambiance. I went with my Korean friend so he helped me to pick out dishes. If you are a lover of pork and beef then you would love the dishes. Moreover, they don't serve vegetarian food as Korean food always has a hint of seaweed, fishes, beef, pork and chicken in all their dishes and their soups are made of non-veg broth. Give it a try if you are really interested in Korean food. We tried Dalgbokk-eumtang (닭볶음탕), which is a traditional Korean dish made by boiling chunks of chicken with vegetables and spices Bibimbap (비빔밥) is one of the most well known Korean dishes. A rice bowl topped with all sorts of seasoned sautéed vegetables, marinated meat (usually beef), a fried egg sunny side up, finished with a sprinkle of sesame and generous dollop of a sweet-spicy-savoury Bibimbap sauce. - Heads up, this sauce is so awesome! Sujebi (수제비) is a Korean style pasta-broth noodle soup that can be both warming and filling. The noodles are soft and chewy, the broth is rich with umami, and it was served with kimchi.

Always my favourite Korean place to go to. But now the quantity has gone down a bit. They stopped giving wooden chopsticks too, which made it difficult for me to finish the food.

Loved the courteous service of the staff. They were very understanding and helpful. The mandu-guk was delicious! They have really good calamari as well. Both Japanese and Korean cuisines are prepared here

My first visit to a Korean Cuisine Restaurant. New Seoul Hotels Ambience - a street style Korean Restaurant Setup. Food Ordered - Jajangmyeaon, Dalsot Bibimbap, Yakitori Chicken If you are an ardent Korean fan, Jajangmyeaon will be the top of your list like mine. Loved the food especially the Bibimbap. It tasted too good. The complimentary side dishes were amazing. Will I go again? Definitely yes!

Great place to experience authentic korean experience! The food and service is absolutely great, while the cost is considerably expensive- they do serve up big portions that convince you that’s a value for money deal :) The restaurant is frequented by the expat community!

Not gonna lie.. I can only think of taking a pic after it’s done. Infact I only remember it then. We ordered for seafood soybean paste soup and egg maki rolls and chicken teriyaki. I couldn’t even leave a small shrimp for the pic and trust me I kept one but forgot and ate it. How can anyone remember taking cute and fancy pics when you can eat it.

The teriyaki was so delicious that I am going to order it next time. And the egg rolls were not so great but still good. I loved everything... this is my 4 or 5 time here but the reason for 4 stars is... well I like the interiors of other places I visited that’s it. Apart from that it was just delicious.

We booked a booth and got there on time. After going through their extensive menu and placing our order we were informed that half the items on the menu were unavailable due to a lack of see weed. We asked him to bring another item from the menu which he assured was available and then guess what happens 10 minutes later they don’t have that too. After travelling an hour in peak traffic it’s pretty disappointing that the best rated Korean/ Japanese restaurant in Chennai doesn’t have half the things on the menu. I’m from the restaurant industry and it’s common sense to stock up extra for the week end. The captain whose photo I’ve uploaded is over confident uninformed about his own kitchen. I’ve uploaded a photo of this person and if he comes to wait on your table ask for some one else. Please don’t go here and wait for a better Korean/ Japanese restaurant to open in Chennai.

I had visited the restaurant with my family 2 Weeks back and They served Sushi with bones to our horror. When we asked about it, they didn't even apologize and just cancelled the amount in the final bill. It was a terribke mistake. Usually sushi should be prepared with perfect care as it involves fish. I m sure none of the chefs at new Seoul understands that.

This place serves authentic Korean food which not all Indians would like in a first go, it's a bit of an acquired taste. They kept the interior neat and simple. The service was good and prompt, the waiters take time to explain about the food for first timers and give suggestions. The menu also had quiet a hand full of items that everyone would like, like teriyaki chicken, prawn tempura, fried chicken etc.

Absolutely fantastic Koreann food. I don't wanna rate it too highly because I'm afraid it'll become too crowded. Fantastic side dishes along with very generous helpings of the mains.

My friend and I frequent this place (once a week or two) and these guys always amaze us with their consistency in terms of taste and flavor!! We never get bored of this place and never will! There hasn't been even a single episode of "Food Fiasco" Kudos to these guys behind the screen who always entice us😀 Korean and Japanese cuisine lovers, this one's a must try, even for the veggie guys (from one veggie to multiple out there)

Iam there because of kdramas, food was good, before selecting food, just ask the waiter what's the taste of the dish. Coz v met a problem there. Ordered a dish because of image, but there is. No spice at all, so. Ask and order

The place interior wise was really good unlike the pictures on zomato. The starters had kimchi, eggs and veggies. It was good. We had the squid. It was okayish. The beef was okayish as well. The pork on the other hand was really good.

If you really like Korean food or usually love Asian food this is a place to visit. The flavour and aroma is surely different and you need to understand and appreciate it.
And NO it's not one of those Indo Chinese food place please!
Korean and Japanese food, who said you cannot find it in Chennai.

Started our lunch with, beef bulgogi, it is a staple of Korean food.
Take a little bit of beef and put it on a lettuce with a garlic pod and spicy paste and then wrap it up and eat it in 1 bite. This was light yummy and healthy!

Hot pot chicken- dakgalbi sweet potatoes and chicken and onion chilli paste sauce and sugar syrup all on the fire and boiling hot

Dolsot bibimbap – Carrots, zucchini, radish, spinach, egg and chicken, served with a pot miso soup that’s added just before eating! light and yummy!

Kochijang paste it’s a Korean chilli paste that one could add for extra flavour!

Jegu bokkun pork dish withKorean chilli paste, cabbage, onions and zucchini.

Ramen was subtle and full of flavour, always my favourite dish and I think they did a fairly good job in making that bowl.

A wonderful light meal with good company summed it up!
Went here for Korean food with my wife.
Totally enjoyed their Soeul-ful food.
We ordered their small portion of a Korean stew mixed with beef, octopus and vegetables. Along with noodles.
The portion was a real generous helping, we were unable to finish it.

It's always a positive sign when the entire restaurant is filled with patrons and Korean natives.

Only draw back I see would be for those customers unfamiliar with Korean food. It is tough to decide on what dish to choose as you don't understand the flavours.
Advantage is that many of their food is generally spicy, which is a plus for the Indian palate.

Most probably the best Korean food joint in Chennai. Friendly staff and a nice homely ambience in this place. I’ve gone here a couple of times and I’ve really enjoyed everything I have had here. The salmon skin rolls though they sounded a bit daunting at first, were simply amazing. Do get the seafood ramen too! All the dishes come with side dishes which are as traditional as can be, and their bibimbap is really good as well. Also, their kimbap was upto the mark! Must place to visit if you are into korean cuisine.

Korean food was on my hit-list for quite sometime now , it's the rage all over the internet. Those who follow food bloggers on YT are quite familiar with the words Bulgogi , Bibimbap and Kimchi. So with a lot of curiosity I decided to visit a Korean Restaurant.
Chennai has a decent number of Korean Restaurants due to a good number of Korean Expatriates living here , and a lot of these places serve Japanese food too so Double Whammy.

We decided to visit New Seoul Hotels today with my father and the place was filled with patrons. The decor is quite welcoming , so is the staff , patient and take their time in explaining what is there in the menu.

So there are two menus , Japanese and Korean , both chock-a-block with dishes , so there is a lot to choose from. We chose the Dakkgangjeong , Gyudon and Kimchi Myeon.

Post ordering the server came with a tray containing an array of dishes. These were complementary.
It consisted of some boiled eggs in soy sauce , Cucumbers in a chili based sauce , Kimchi , a salad and an egg dish with some seafood in it.
All of them were very tasty , especially the Kimchi , spicy and very pungent. My favorites was the Salad and the Egg with seafood . The salad reminded me of the one I used to get at Momoyama !
Too bad they shut shop.

The Gyudon was the first to arrive. It was a Rice bowl with some stir-fried onions and some slices of beef , I was surprised that it was a huge portion ! I loved it , especially the beef . The dish had no spice at all yet had a slightly sweet flavor coming from the Onions , the beef was soft and the rice , beef and the onions together were really good together.

My dad's Kimchi Myeon came next , an my lord was that huge ! My dad really liked it , had a good amount fatty Pork and Noodles , absolutely Slurp-worthy.

The Dakkgangjeong came last and that was my favorite . It was magical , I had never tasted fried chicken like this ever in my life and it was the best. Chicken wings fried to a crisp , with a crunchy exterior and soft and juicy meat inside coated in a sticky sweet and spicy sauce and it was glorious.
This is a must try if you visit this place. KFC in my dictionary now stands for Korean Fried Chicken and not Kentucky Fried Chicken. Absolutely delightful.

I will keep visiting this place whenever I get the chance to do so , keep up the amazing work !

I love that this place is still around and their quality is still as good as ever!

There's Korean food and Japanese food, and we chose Japanese when we went again after ages. We ordered a cheesy ebi starter, agedashi tofu, salmon maki, ebi fry maki, and a yaki udon.

I absolutely loved the little snacks they served while we waited. There was batter fried octopus, kimchi, pickled radish, and tea eggs. The baby, of course, lapped it all up and we had to get seconds (of the snack stuff).

The sushi was fantastic, fresh, and delicious. Baby also approves. Our ebi with cheese was a unique treat, jumbo shrimp grilled and topped with cheese, def a winner.

Yaki udon came at the very end, but was really good even though we got the vegetarian one.

I'd rate the food, service, and experience a 10/10!

They even have a small rack for Ambrosia Bakery yums!!
Went to this place for dinner on a Saturday.. They place seem to be good at Alwarpet..ordered for like 5 dish and out of the five dish 3 dish was really excellent.. a bit steep for the price .. but they serve really good quality food.. especially I loved the cheesy grilled prawn it was my favourite .

Really good food and nice people ✌🏼 the ambience is really nice and the quantity and the price of the dishes are really good two people can eat one dish

After watching lot of Korean dramas I developed love for Korean food so I went for dinner to this place with my friend.I ordered Soju, bibimbap, keran mari. They are all really nice. Soju tastes like vodka but won't have that burning sensation in your throat. The alchohol content is less compared to vodka. Really nice restaurant. The side dishes we got with bibimbap are excellent.

Family dinner! Ordered jajangmyeon, kimbap, tempora, beef and seaweed soup
Completely satisfied..my fam's tum is full! This food will make you happy!! Worth it

I'll rate them five or more out of five. One of the most authentic Korean restaurants in town, this is my favorite haunt to go with family and settle down with some soju (Korean rice or barley based alcoholic beverage) or plain old beer. They offer some cold hors d'oeuvre gratis, as soon as one is seated, starters that include a radish kimchi, boiled eggs and even a potato based dish in soy sauce. I've learnt over time that these are not just starters but are banchan, or side dishes that one can eat with the soup. Since we are all vegetarians in my family, (I eat egg though, and the occasional fish), the staff always help us with the best veg dishes on the menu. So it's usually a bowl of noodle soup with veggies or a plate of rice with veggies and egg. They have a full Japanese menu as well, so one could also order cucumber or avocado sushi rolls and veg tempura as starters and again a cold or hot noodles option for the main course. There are also set meal options that would be better if one is in for a quick meal. The seating is real and no-nonsense, using a lot of red colors and leather, huge sofas separating guests from one another. Most often, we only see Koreans here and I've hardly come across Indians every time we eat here. And that's a real lot of times. New Seoul has the S(e)oul of Korea, warm, authentic and beautiful.

Must say One of few Good Korean restaurants in the country.
Great Food variety & well versed staff.
One would need to develop its unique taste to enjoy.
Chilly level is Extra Hot in certain dishes- which is something I personally like & their Soju !
Foodie14
Some pretty decent korean food here. Tried the Japchae and the bulgogi. The Bulgogi was a little too sweet for my liking but still good. The japchae was decent. I just dont know why the whole place is blue. They can really work on their ambience.

A must try for the food enthusiasts in Chennai. Known for its authentic Korean & Japanese cuisines, this place has no pretence of being anything other than its original taste and unfiltered palettes. The starter otherwise known as 'Banchan' was a free pleasure which we thoroughly enjoyed and the seafood pancakes & the salmon-skin fried rolls were pure delicacies.
The place had awesome servers who were prompt and courteous. Though they had the obvious options of fried chicken and potato wedges, I would certainly recommend something more authentic and pure like sushi or seafood. This place is known for its beef and pork cuisines so please dive right in if you are a meat lover.
Abhinav Shankar
One of my favorite places in Chennai. The service is incredible and the food rivals many authentic Korean places I've had in other countries. Their Donkas, sangyupsal, soondobo jiggea, ja ja ming are a must if you want some authentic Korean experience. If you like very spicy food, you should try the bul dak(fire chicken). Overall amazing experiences here.

Food and Flavour: 4.5/5
Ambience: 4/5
Service: 4/5
Seating: 4/5
Value for Money: 4/5

* Authentic Korean/Japanese cuisine
* Limited Parking available
* Private dining area available
* Soju available

Well, if you're looking for the complete Korean dining experience, you gotta visit New Seoul. Loved the service from the minute I walked in.

The elevator, entrance to the restaurant may not appeal to you much as it would once you step in. A lobby and front-desk staff to welcome and help guide you to a table, more than enough waiters to take over after. A typical blast from the past, subdued look spiked by the partial yellow, green walls and red coloured cushions giving out a Korean-esque ambienc, not to forget the spiral staircase leading to the next floor.

It was two of us for lunch at 13:10 on Sunday.

The place was almost full but we spotted a comfy table for us! They give you a bottle of chilled 'Boricha' or Korean barley tea instead of water but you can always ask for the latter if you aren't comfortable with it.

There are two separate menu listings, for Japanese and Korean dishes.

Order:-

The banchan arrived first, as usual:-
1. Siguemchi-namul - Blanched spinach with sesame oil and seeds.
2. Pajeon - Flour and egg based pancakes with scallions and fish.
3. Jeon - A vegetarian version of the pancake.
4. Baechu Kimchi/Spicy Napa - Fermented, salted and spiced cabbage, a traditional must.
5. Gyeran-jangjorim - A lovely, soy braised, boiled egg.
6. Sliced bell peppers, cucumber and carrots.

Try to curtail the temptation in eating the banchan without the food. Although it will be refilled, it's interesting and tasty to pair it with your sides/mains. Something that I love about the cuisine!

Salmon Nigri (₹400) - Three elegantly presented sliced salmon fish over vinegar mixed sushi rice. Accompanied with pickled radish, Japanese soy sauce and wasabi. Must try.

Shimaaji Nigri (₹300) - Three elegantly presented mackerel fish over vinegar mixed sushi rice. Accompanied with pickled radish, Japanese soy sauce and wasabi.

Salmon Skin Roll (₹500) - 8 pieces of soy glazed crispy salmon skin rolled over egg, carrot, cucumber and sticky rice. Accompanied with pickled radish, Japanese soy sauce and wasabi. Must try.

Jeyuk Dupbab (₹500) - Sesame oil rich, spicy, stir fry pork with sticky rice. Served alongside a strong, aromatic, miso soup with cucumber, onions, potato and scallions. Can't get better than this! Large portion size.

Ended the awesome meal with some cut watermelon, served as a tradition after a meal.

Beer (Fosters) was priced at ₹470/- for a 750ml bottle.
Service was quick except for the Dupbab which is understandable considering the cooking time. Service was better than most of the Japanese/Korean restaurants I've been to (in Chennai, particularly).

Seating was comfortable; Air-conditioning, adequate. Mostly visited by Korean and Japanese expats, you also find some high-level corporates around.

It's slightly more expensive than other Korean or Japanese restaurants but food is worth the money I'd say. You'll often find me here! ✌🏻
Total Bill:- ₹2561/- including GST at 18% worth ₹390.60/-

Authentic Korean food doesn't get much better than this. They do Sushi and Sashimi as well but I'd stick with Korean cuisine. Portions are huge and they don't necessarily advise you when you order so make it a point to ask. I love their complimentary starters the most!

Beautiful place, amazing service, calming ambience and SUPER DELICIOUS FOOD!!! All the side dishes like mini pajeon, all types of kimchi and fish fry were mouth watering. We ordered chicken tangsuyuk and jjampong.. "REACHED HEAVEN"... and to fulfil my life long dream to eat nakji, I got it packed and it travelled to entirely different state of India and it was yumilicious and fresh still... I am most definitely coming here again. Now "eating Korean food" is finally off my bucket list.

After hearing so much about this place, finally visited this place and was blown away. The staff was friendly, attentive and the place was clean, bright and comfortable. It was great to see the variety of Japanese and Korean. So we ordered the prawns tempura, Sushi and Sashimi platter along with Korean beef BBQ. Everything on the table was fresh and vibrant. I recommend the Sashimi platter since it was my fav!
Ambience - 3.5/5
Food - 4/5
Service - 5/5
We came here only after we discovered our favorite haunt for Korean food had been closed for two years. Crestfallen, we headed here after a Zomato search pointed this out. Efficient service, charming waiters and an all round excellent service.
On to the food, spot on. The usual favorites - bul go gi, samgyeopsal, Ori Gu I and tender loin, were spot on. As good as the best we've had. This is a quick review, but I can't convey this enough. If you want authentic, delicious Korean food, this is where you have to go.

This place has finally satisfied my craving for authentic Korean food. A must go for all k-drama and k-pop fans and of course all foodies out to try new cuisines. Also offers a wide range of Japanese dishes which I am yet to try.

The Good: a little bit of a cheat code here-they always serve complimentry starters which sometimes include chicken salad, assorted veggies, squid etc. The starters are slightly different each time we visiy. By the time your order arrives, you can be pretty much full! But save your tummy for the main orders.

As my partner and I always crave for Jap food, we often order from their Jap menu(which is not shown on Zomato). Our 2 favourites dishes are the Chirashi Sushi and the Okonomiyaki.

Great thing is there serve beer and soju which is a rarity in other restaurants. Waiters are very polite and efficient.

The Bad: I've always wanted to try the Korean dishes but they are quite pricey. As the portions are large, it might be worthwhile to order a few dishes while in a large group. Small options for one or two persons sre limited but I could be wrong.

The Ugly: The decor! We always have a good laugh at the blue neon lights in the restaurant. So minus 0.5 points just for that.

I am a big fan of sushi so wanted to try out this place but was completely disappointed with my futomaki... The rice was lumpy , the cucumber was cut un orderly and the fish was just stale, so a complete disappointment and I had to send it back . The bulgogi on the other hand tasted good ,so did the basic starters with some good choice of kimchi and pickled radish, the ambience of the place is average.
Sashi
We ordered the Pork belly barbecue and smoked duck barbecue along with kimbab, Bibimbab and noodles. The food was really good. The service was quick.
The only thing not up to my liking was the strange lighting which made the place look like a disco club. And of course there were the noisy drunk Asian men often encountered at these Korean restaurants!
Vinathi
I went to a Korean restaurant just for my friends birthday treat. She wanted to make us try something new.
It was not that bad. The food was good. A complete different experience though. The sushi and the pork and the ramen noodles were the best. Moreover, they served us some Korean specials I would say in the starting and they were all also pretty good. :p
Definitely worth the visit for people who wanna try something different and new. :)

Finally my long time wish came true! 😁... 2 of the bucket list, eating korean food and trying pork.
Thanks to new seoul at alwarpet. 😀

A big thank you to My good friend Monish , the korean bro of mine. Wouldn't have pulled up the guts to go there 😏. On his recommendation and motivation orderd a pork belly rib ... it was a grilled dish... they had a big plate of different fillings.... lettuce was the base though. Eating k food does takes quiet some time. 😋... filling up the lettuce base with grilled pork and all the filings , is an art... which later just goes down in a yummy way into ir stomach 😋... the fillings are unlimited... 😈 then tried bibim bap which is a dish made out of rice , topped with chicken and veggies . You have to mix it all and they serve it damn hot 😲.
It was yum yum 😇. The soup which came with it was yum too.

Ended with a watermelon slice and cold coffee which were a compliment along with the meal.

Dukbaegi Bulgogi is marinated beef in beef stock, with glass noodles and mushroom. Comes piping hot in a earthenware pot, with all the usual korean sides. Everything served was delicious. The staff, mostly north eastern, are super courteous but there are two from Kerala. A manager with a bushy moustache wearing an oversized coat and and his tall assistant whispering to each other in malayalam.

After a lot of anticipation, finally went to this place and it was a super lunch. The dumplings were a bit of a let down and the salmon sashimi was not prepared very well, but apart from that everything else was excellent. Highly recommend the fried miso eggplant, kimchi pork, and beef bulgogi. Will definitely be going back!

Great place to hang out with your friends! Good ambience and good service! But the food is inconsistent. Sometimes it's really good and other times just ok! Worth a visit if you haven't been here

I am a regular customer of New Seoul Hotels. The restaurant serves pretty decent Korean food, the non-spicy cod fish is a must try! The side dishes are also quite tasty.

Went with my colleagues for a dinner while I was in chennai. Most of the order was placed by my colleague and I was just excited tasting them. Few things that stands out well
1. ambiance - simple and neat, gives you a homely feel
2. Staff -extremely patient and courteous guys who went over the details of explaining the course
3. Food - well done and meat was prepared based on your instructions. One of the starters that really came out and I enjoyed thoroughly was the sweet potato dish. Unfortunately I don't remember the name, however ask for it and definitely try it.

They have a great variety of food and you definitely need to ask them and order base on your likes. Navigating the menu for a first timer was difficult for me, however they created an impression that will compel me to visit again. Decent parking space. Very interesting fact that chennai has opened to a lot of niche culinary joints and definitely will visit this restaurant and be more adventurous when I visit Chennai again.

Going by the number of customers we found here on a weekday evening, It does look like they are doing well. This place opened up a few months ago, and after dining at another Korean restaurant just down the road, I was just as apprehensive.

While the ambience was not far different from the other place, the food was better. Our group of 8 people ordered pretty much everything on the menu. Chicken, Beef, Pork, Prawns, Squid, and Fish were all ordered and consumed with delight. The quantities were in keeping with the prices charged.

My grouse with this place is the Smoking Policy! while not as bad as the other place, this one also allows patrons to smoke at the tables, and in a closed air-conditioned restaurant the smell of stale smoke lingers and makes it unpleasant for non-smokers.

This would be my first at tryin Korean cuisine in India, am i must say i was pleasently surprised. Large seating area which was well lit and had quite some waiters to assist and take care of you. So 3.5 for ambience, would rate it higher had they made a separate area for smokers.

This visit was special because this was the first time my mum would be experiencing Korean cuisine...ever! She is a finiky eater so trying new cuisines can be a challenge to dine with her. Hats off to New Seoul Hotels, they made her feel at ease and explained the contents and ingredients of the various small starters they usually bring out...Typical of a Korean kitchen.

We were greeted byna smiling waiter who escorted us to our table nd brought us cold napkins and the best tasting cold green tea ever. We were handed the menu and the starters were brought out. We ordered the Chicken in sauteed in chilli sauce, chilli squid and seaweed soup.

The portions are good for 2 - 3 pax and the flavours were out of this world. Each had their distinct flavours and were mild on our palette, and my mother was enjoying every bit of the lunch fare. She commented that the ambience and service made one want to relax and enjoy the atmosphere and the food. Food scored a good 4 on 5.

Overall the experience was great, the bill came upto 1050 per head which is certainly not bad considering the huge portions and the amount of "free" food that one gets for the price you pay. Value for money is 4.5 on 5, which brings te averge to 4.
