This was my 2nd trip to Chennai and my 2nd Murugan idli outlet that i tried out!
This one is quite different from the first one that i tried out which was in t-nagar. This is more calm and quaint. Coming to food, we ordered their podi idli, butter masala dosa, rava dosa, paniyaram, wheat halwa, milk halwa and jigarthanda. The idli was exceptional, 5/5, next came the rava dosa, yum! The halwas were delicious as well, they bought out a tray which had all the different sweets they offer, making it easy to choose. The person with the tray was low on patience though. Jigarthanda, well named, very very very cold drink, quite yum but didn't have the same taste as i remember from my last visit.
Service was okay, in comparison to my last visit, I'd say not that great.

Ambience could have been better expected a quieter and cleaner place that doesnt mean its awful perfect treat for South Indian veg foodies
The best idlis in the world. They are soft and tasty. They serve idlis with podi ( on demand) , sambar, white chutney, mint chutney . Also their choice of chutney is amazing. So many choices
Good food. Simple ambience. Chutneys and sambhar different from the regular run of the mill accompniants of other South Indian outlets.
Serve on banana leaves and leaf-bowls. I like this because it is ecofriendly. Staff is friendly and provide good service.
Never tried Lunch Items from Murugan Idly Shop But Today When I was searching for Tamarind Rice , Luckily I found here and Thank God I tasted atleast now cuz It was Too good .. I got Two boxes and two of them
got over .. It was really good .. But I smelled Pudina in Tamarind rice , I dunno Y cuz It tasted like Tamarind rice but had Pudina Smell 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
Favourite for its chutneys, but at times they give old chutneys and less chutney varieties, they usually have around 4 varieties! And all taste differently good

Murgan idli shop in chennai for its taste. Obviously its true the taste was so good and whenever the food become tasty so we have paymore. The fud is little bit expensive. The idli ,chuntney ,vada and coffee was soooo good. The maintained the shop very clean and tidy. The waiters was well coorperate and waiting time for fud was less . They also provide sweets we can buy.
Neat place for awesome hot idlies and crispy dosas. Was so nice to many varieties of chutnies (coconut, tomato, pudina and coriander) with sambar for idly. But I was surprised that only few chutney were nice and it was compromised with awesome sambar. Their coffee was really awesome. Ambience is basic and neat. Do visit for their breakfast and tiffin items.
We had Murugan idly TNagar after two years although to a different place.. Remains as tasty as the last time... All items very very good...must visit place
Very fast Dilivery and neat and unique packing. Food is good. Value for money. Jigirthanda and small onion uthappam famous here. We can try So many variety of Chudny in murugan idly shop. Friendly servants also. Recommended.
Best place to have vegetarian foods specially ghee podi idly and jigarthanda combo 😲 wow everyone must try atleast once.
Good food and customer service.ghee podi idli 😍 External look makes a think whether to go inside or not.may be because of metro construction.
