It is very rare to see a place that has a perfect experience both in terms of the taste of the food and in terms of the ambience. Double Roti is one such place. Located on the third floor, this serves as a perfect date night with a great indoor and outdoor ambience. The agnolotti had one of the best tomato sauces I had ever tasted. The food takes a while to arrive but it works out well here considering that this place is targeted towards people who prefer to have long conversations over lunch or dinner. Do yourself a favor and visit the place rather than ordering their menu through a food delivery application because the place stands for the way the food is presented.

Food was amazing! Would recommend anyone for continental and Mexican cuisine. Place looked romantic and beautiful later at night after the traffic dies down. The view is great too.

We only tried the mint lemon cooler and passion peach iced tea - both were bloody brilliant. Ofcourse, there's nothing fresh about them - just a concoction of synthetic flavours and obviously overpriced considering the location. It's the ambience you're there for though - both indoors and outdoors. Nothing can match what you get with this place - especially outdoors.

Good food. This was my first time eating here. The beef burger was amazing. They have about 5 tables at the balcony for dining here which is really pleasant to dine at. Can't say it's a halal certified place if they serve pork but hopefully they use different utensils or cutlery for that. There is valet parking but he just parks it right outside the restaurant because parking space availability is a task.

They have a beautiful ambience. Be it during the day. Really gorgeous in the evening (not during a hot summer) Food was really good. Desserts were yum! Highly recommend you try it!

Ambience is good. Food was extremely good. It's a burger bar joint. Name is bit misleading as I thought I might get some North Indian food like roti and some veggies but it was disappointing that they were serving pizza, burger and beef. I took my family for lunch. Because we liked the place we had to manage with pizza salad and pasta. Per person costs around 1000₹. Only lasagne was not available otherwise good place and good staffs.

Visited this place for breakfast and was totally blown away by the quality of the dishes they had and the ambiance. They have a huge balcony seating arrangement. Sitting there and enjoying a hot cup of coffee on a cloudy day was pure bliss. We had the breakfast platter and egg tacos. Both of them were absolutely delicious. Their corn dogs were a bit heavy, but tasted excellent. If given a chance, I would definitely visit them again. They have a good parking space as well.

At the close of our weekend evening out, we decided to alight here for a bite. We chose outdoor seating and were not disappointed. The food was just delicious... juicy chicken burger, great tasting this crusted pepperoni pizza and the yummiest Cajun prawn tacos. The service was prompt, ambience really cozy, polite and attentive staff added to the wow factor of our dining experience. Just hope this quality of service stays in future, too. We would definitely return some time later and if you are driving by thinking of enjoying some comfort food, do give it a try.

Very good cafe dining experience, Chennai doesn't necessarily score high for cafe diners. Great location right next to the Annanagar East Metro station means you dont have to worry about parking space. Food was very good with many options across pizzas, pastas, burgers and the usual stuff. Desserts are their specialty it would look like, the ones on display are very tempting indeed.

Awesome is the experience .beef chilly bowl was an outstanding experience. Pork patty and bacon burger was also very wonderful. I recommend my beloved food explorers to try it and I assure you would love the food. Few suggestions 1. Billing bucket not good 2. Utensils tray could be better 3. Glass water., glass can be chosen a better one 4. Tissue papers are ok but still cloth gives us better feel

I am so impressed with the Ambience and the desserts are soo yummy with different flavours. Burgers and bread are well cooked with proper cooked meat one of the best places for family time and for couples in the main core of the city.

Wonderful place with good food and ambience. The Moroccan grilled chicken was amazing, I would recommend the superiority burger and definitely the pastires. Tiramisu Tub and Rocky Road Tub are my favourites. The restaurant has a vallet parking.

The Cajun bowl and quesadillas were good. The Himalayan maggi was very disappointing. The desserts looked tempting. Both the indoor and outdoor ambience was very good. You get vegan and vegetarian options here. The service from the waiters was quite cold and unwelcoming. The rating was majorly for the food.

Amazing food. little bit pricey but great quality. The firecracker pizza is actually spicy, better to inform the customers about how spicy it would be. Great atmosphere. Tiramisu and macrons were really good. Great view for the outdoor setting.

If you want to eat and taste real burger this is the place. KFCs, mcds and burger King shd learn from them. They serve real burgers. Illegal burger, hey baghavan, big boy meal, great gatsby and cheese fries are my favorites. I love their nutty shakes. It looks like overpriced but not.

One of the best evening hang out places in Chennai. Got a wide range of snacks and other food varieties. Prices are a bit on the higher side. But the taste and the ambience will make it up. The menu is very detailed with the ingredients that go into making the dish and the service is also good. Easily accessible by an auto or cab. Big Boy n Hey Bhagavan burgers were really filling. Highly disappointed with this particular joint. Not sure what the issue was but the food served for not upto the mark. Buffalo shrimps tasted as though it was cooked in bad processed cheese and the say cheese hotdog had a smoky flavor, too strong for my liking with cold lettuce and onions. What was shocking were the fish sticks they served, when I took a bite it was black in color on the inside from top to bottom. Lost the appetite there. And the price they charge for each dish is unworthy especially when serving food of such poor quality.

I don't have much to say. it was good. but packing was done as if someone has thrown the pizza in the box without properly setting it up. Also the pizza rates are too high for a medium chicken tikka pizza.. nothing much to say.. neither excited nor disappointing..

Had an average experience over there. Expected to be a better ambient place but was a not a great lively environment. The food was average as on the cost as well. The food could have been better and taste was not that great either. I ask the management to provide some better quality food as competition rises between restaurants these days and the customers expect a better ambience when they dine in.

Double roti is kinda expensive but I'd say it's worth it when you want to pamper yourself to a good meal. The area 69 burger is killer. On a lazy day, I always order the great gatsby sandwich, it's filled with slices of beef cooked to perfection with egg, sauces and bacon.The bbq chicken pizza is full of flavor and yummy. Must visit.

The food is really good. But we were seriously deceived by the water's humiliating attitude.

Very expensive. Didnt find it worth of money. I basically ordered 'spicy chkn boat sandwich' via delivery. Pickles pieces were more than chicken pieces between the breads. Each bite was hard to shallow because of extreme spicy taste . Finally, i had to remove pickles to eat the rest of the burger

It is a decent place to have a quick snack with our friends in anna nagar. I had oreo shake and chipotle chicken burger which was extremely delicious. Their food presentation is very interesting. They served shakes in small plastic flower pots. Must try

My wife was browsing through the options on zomato Gold and came across this restaurant. It is situated next to Shree Mithai. This place serves good Italian food as well as they are known for their burgers. We we're not in for burgers. We ordered the tandoori chicken fries. This was well made and as promised prior to ordering, it was not spicy. For mains, we ordered the mean street pizza. It comes with blue cheese and pizza sauce with grilled chicken pieces.I was not impressed with the taste. It had a very strong taste of blue cheese.<br/><br/>Overall, the place has some good writings on the wall. In addition, the service was quick.<br/><br/>For dessert, go for the double tree dark chocolate mousse. I would recommend it for chocolate lovers. The rest of the desserts are from The Table.

This is a popular place but what's more shocking is that I have never been to this restaurant being a foodie and a sucker for burgers, despite being in Chennai for more than 2 years. I have eaten at this place on many occasions and have ordered from them on those extremely lazy days as well and i have to say i have never been dissapointed. Love the concept, love the names of the dishes.. it all adds to the experience. The burgers are really good especially if you are a meat lover. I also loved their Tuna that melts ver 2... I am not a big fan of Maggi so haven't tried any of their maggi selections but from what i see, they have some interesting options... i particularly love their 'Say Cheese' hotdog... its by far the most perfect hotdog i have had with amazing toppings! The perfect blend of jalepenos, barbecue sauce, mustard.... hmmmm yummm! I also loved their 'Houston we have a problem' burger (the names :D... hilarious!) They also feature pizzas and other stuff, all of which are good in terms of taste and quality... all in all a good place to eat and chill... the only thing that can be improved is the speed of service which is quite slow. The staff is friendly and its a nice to place to wait a bit for a meal but when you are hungry it does take away from the experience! i remember waiting for almost half an hour for my tuna salad... :(

We went to double roti on a Sunday afternoon and it was rather empty. We were their only customers till we left. The ambience was moderate. Coming to the menu, they have come up with some quirky and innovative names for their dishes. We ordered lime mint cooler, tandoori fries and godfather pizza. They served food in tiny cooking pans and I found it little uncomfortable to eat in it. Lime mint cooler which we ordered was okayish, tandoori fries was good and Godfather pizza was topnotch. It was quite filling. The service was good and would visit this place again.

I am not impressed with the burger. Patties are dry and break into chunks. Also, I want to mention that the use of mozzarella cheese is good to create a visual impact, but they can't give the taste. I wish different types of cheese need to use in burgers and fries and I am not familiar mozzarella cheese in your sandwich....

Absolutely love the place prominently for the food. Ambience is pretty much like a mediocre cafe and nothing extraordinary and the service is unfortunately very slow.<br/>But the food is really great and deserves the appreciation. The food out of the grill oven are fabulous and so are the pizzas. What deserves a special mention are their burgers which are so so juicy and stacked with fillings that always urges you to come back for more.<br/>Two of my favourite dishes continues to be the non veg platter which serves tandoori fries, chicken wings and piri piri chicken and the godfather pizza.<br/>Would have totally rated it a 5/5 if the service was taken care of.

Double roti is charging 6% for service charge as per the government norms you should not charge it and even if you want to charge us you cannot define 6% its up to the customer. When we questioned about it the restaurant manager removed it and told this is optional.but it was not mentioned as optional in bill. Pls do check the bill before you pay.

Ordered cheese fries with extra cheese. The extra cheese was not provided. On top of that that the fries was bland, cost me 200 rupees and not even I potato was used for it. The cheese mixed with the fries was more like maida. With 400 rupees for a burger they will provide a slice of bread.

Double Roti is a very known brand among Chennaites for quite sometime now as their burgers are very famous. But I happened to try the food here only recently. Here is the review for the same.<br/><br/>We decided to have a late lunch here. The place has good interiors that give out a cool vibe. We decided to have an iced tea as it was too hot outside. That was very refreshing indeed. For starters we had the Caramelized onions and Grilled Sausage Fries. The sausage in the fries had that distinct smokey flavors and the gravy on top of the fries made for a great combination with the fries.<br/><br/>We also had their Classic Cheese Burger in which the char on the beef patty was too good. I loved the smokey flavor of the grill and the tomatoes and lettuce with the mustard, mayo and ketchup perfectly balanced the rich meat patty. Absolutely loved it.<br/><br/>For dessert we had their Banofee Tart. But the serving tray was quite old and needs to be scrapped rather than served.<br/><br/>The tart ordered was good. I think this place has run down and seem to be closing down soon. Waiters were not interested, looked like they were doing what they were because they were being paid. It wasn’t like this when it opened up. Place was empty for a Sunday 9 pm. I thought we were lucky but then realised that when the 3 different chicken burgers were served. All of us got some bone piece in the first bite , but didn’t talk about it thinking it was one off. But it continued and the final straw was when we all got a big piece of bone. I think the person who made the patty had an issue with the management or had a fight with his wife/girlfriend. <br/>Definitely avoidable and after eating at Truffles Bangalore on Friday night this was bad. Guys who have given higher ratings need to revisit this place and they will definitely change the rating.

Contrary to the name 'Double Roti' which may seem like their menu would not only be filled with north indian cuisine, this place has wide and unique variety of burgers, sandwiches, wraps, pizza, desserts, etc.,much more.. what we felt is they should improve the quanitity desserts at least 1:2...<br/><br/>especially their naming of dishes are attractive and crowd pulling... however only cons is that prices might burn your pocket!!<br/><br/>P.S. I am in love with their tandoori fries. The crust on the pizza was on point and the amount of cheese and toppings were satisfactory too. The Oreo shake was enough for two of us and I loved the size if the portion and the taste. We also ordered a banoffee pie, which was also above average. However, we did not like the cheese fries and the burger. The cheese was way too dry and the burger’s bun was flaky and old. <br/>Could eat here a couple of times, probably until you get bored of their amazing tandoori fries. <br/>

I have been to this place over 5 times. It was good all the previous visits. But my last one was a bit disappointing. Didn’t much like it. It was average. I got some punjabi Maggie and spicy boat sandwich. Both didn’t taste that good. Even their masala chai was only okayish.

The burgers are gargantuan! But that doesn't mean the taste is compromised! So juicy and delicious, I was stuffed. All the food was really yummy. Great place to hangout, with family or friends. All the food portions were definitely great value for money. Definitely a must try.

Nope, you wont find any rotis here but yeah a lot of options to eat from per say burgers, sandwiches, nachos. I personally didnt like the food because of higher range of the price but I have to accept just one burger from here and you are full (it is a complete dinner with an entire spread feeling).

Our choice of a Big Boy Veggie platter, was a mish-mash of fast food items of which only the fries were noteworthy! The 11 inch pizza though of decent size, our choice (The Hoodlum) lived up to its name by rebelling in our mouth (and later in our stomach), with blotches of mozzarella which seemed to have seen better days!<br/>Old, well-worn sauce pans served as plates for food and the platter served on a white marker board...What were they thinking?<br/>The kitchen humoured us with generous fresh-lime soda(though not mentioned on menu).. but the tall and attractive bottles they came in, may not have seen the dishwasher for a bit !<br/>A prestigious location in Chennai with close competition all-around, DR had better up their act, if they hope to survive.

The rich meat which is cooked in a manner that it has a tender and firm to press is an experience never seen before in beef burgers. It is filling as well. Houston we've got a problem is different with it's patty. Here the beef is succulent and melts in the mouth. Both are different and tasty in their own manners.<br/><br/>The salted peanut butter caramel shake is a lovely choice for those who like a mix of both worlds or for those who don't want things too sweet. The salted peanut butter fuses with the caramel flavour to give out a sweet and salty taste. It is quite thick as well.<br/><br/>Overall, the food is really good over here.

Very decent place for having Tasty food and everyone should must try sandwiches there and nice ambience with pleasant music and we can see ipl matches there if we go on evenings

First ordered corn fusion it's palatable and the crust is good then, I ordered pata pitta it's like green salad stuffed bread. I really dislike the taste. Felt nauseous after eating it. Purely not for Indian.<br/><br/>But the ambience is good and quotes are great.<br/><br/>Came with great expectations but failed miserable.<br/><br/>May be I ordered wrong stuff.

Punjabi Maggie tasted very average and Hot wings tasted stale. I had lots of expectations before I stepped in but I came out with a lots of disappointment.

Overpriced. Fries and shakes are good. Beef is below avg. Service is very slow. They take around 25 to 35 minutes to serve anything. Either a shake or a burger.

Next one is GODFATHER🔥(pizza) the base was crispy nd thin, the meat was well cooked, highly recommended 💯, then I had brownie with ice cream it is quite delicious nd finally banana pie so called dessert of the week my only disappointment the waffle was dry nd the taste was not upto the mark.<br/>Overall a good place to hangout with friends🖤 and thanks to zomato gold.<br/>

I went to this place with very high hopes, my friends have been recommending this place for a while now. But I wass very disappointed. Neither the veg burger nor the sandwich was good. So if you are a vegetarian, don't go here else its a good place. The non vegetarian section was good.

Service was a little slow. Cafe mocha shake was great, especially welcome on a hot day. The Big Boy Veggie platter was okay. Fries weren't great and neither was the burger.

Always been a fan of Double Roti burgers. So this time we wanted to try their pizza. Well, it was yummy and I think I'll go again to have their other pizzas for sure! <br/>We ordered The Mobster pizza with pepperoni, bacon and blue cheese, and I was blown away by the taste. A must try! <br/>Also had a chicken burger, our usual chicken fries and for drinks we had, Brownie shake and chocolate shake. All tasted really good. <br/>Ah and the Zomato gold helped our appetite as well! <br/>Service was good. Pricing was nominal. <br/><br/>Bon appetite :)

There is no better burger in chennai at the moment! I repeat! There is no better burger than the illegal burger from Double Roti! It's my favourite dish and I've had more than 10 times from there and I don't intend to stop anytime soon. As my search for the perfect burger continues, double roti's illegal burger remains at the top. Mouth watering cheesily yummy tender beef burger!!

The food was below average, the teynampet branch serves much better food! The pizza was chewy.. bacon and sausage Maggie was good though.. definitely a let-down..

A nice place to hangout with your friends. Try the 'hey bhagwan' burger. It's a huge beef burger, with which they serve coke and fries. The whole meal weighs around a kilo. Also I would like to suggest the bacon cheese fries, one of the best I've ever had.

A good place to dine. Their tuna sandwich is really yummy. I like their milkshakes a lot, especially the choco mint milkshake. Their maggie varieties are real yumm too. My personal favourite in their maggie is the himalayan maggie. Two of my complaints are their slow and real lazy service and the loud music they play which makes conversation very difficult. Food wise it's awesome!!

This place was on our wish list for a quite long time, our order was fish and chips, Tuna sandwich and Pork burger. Fish and chips tasted good crispy and yummy, pork burger double Patty which was juicy and super soft, Tuna sandwich was also good, it was a wonderful experience and as a Zomato gold member we got Tuna Sandwich was complimentary and paid ₹807 for the burger and fish & chips.

Went to this place on a Saturday evening. The ambience and the food, both are very average. We ordered tuna melt sandwich and Mexican wave burger. Both the things turned out to be very mediocre. It wasn’t a great experience at Double Roti.

One of the most finest restaurants of chennai and I don really think it’s a place any foodie wouldn’t have considered visiting. Being at a close vicinity to anna nagar I’ve visited this a number of times. <br/>My personal favorite would be the Oreo o Oreo shake, well who wouldn’t love that. <br/>Had the mushroom bites, tiki tiki bun bun from the burger section, geeky greek , the goodfella (pizza), along with paneer Momos. <br/>The last time I visited, i did try the Himalayan Maggie which will satisfy all the Maggie lovers out there and the paneer tikka wrap, though didn’t really have a unique touch to it, still would be something I would recommend. <br/>If there’s one item on the menu I wouldn’t wanna repeat would be the mushroom bites. Seemed a bit messy as the outer fried portion did not go well with the mushrooms inside and rather tasted like two separate elements.

Finally got to visit this much hyped joint. Tried their famous bacon cheese fries which indeed tasted yum with a smokey flavor. Ordered the hoisin burger that was perfect. The woodfired pizza was a letdown. One of the best places in the city for burgers and fries. Real value for money. Highly recommend it.

The Zomato gold offer was not added to my bill.. and a 6% service charge!<br/>I hadn't noticed it until I left the restaurant but still it is not right to neglect out.<br/>The food was amazing though honestly. Loved the herb mushroom burger and salsa nachos. Nice ambience and really friendly staff.

We ordered for 5 burgers from Double Roti. Did not know that they put cockroaches as garnish. The falafel burger had a huge cockroach hidden inside. Not the experience we expect from a high rated and expensive restaurant. Absolutely disgusted.

Not a place for vegetarians....the place stinks of non-vegetarian food when cooked and there isn't a proper exhaust too. That was a big turnoff

Thought of trying out their starters and ordered for BBQ wings, peri chicken and grilled & jalapeño chicken quesadilla.<br/>All of them tasted very good. The quantity also seems to be decent.<br/>Will definitely try the other items on their menu.
