The name sounds with idli whereas when we get in mostly dosa dishes are only here. Famous for it's different kinds of chutney tastes so good. This place is little bit congested in tnagar. But still the food is good. Plus the jigarthanda classy.!!!!!!!!!!

Very nice shop provides good tasety food at cheap prices.... But seating facilities is normal only....It serves as a good takeaway shop for Murugan idly kadai.

I came here just to try the Jigarthanda and it's worth the effort. My rating of the place as such would be just ok. It's pretty small. No air conditioning. Even thiugh it's clean it might be prone to the dust from the road. But then the food here is amazing. I tried just the jigarthanda here and I totally loved it. I had their dosa varieties from the outlet at TCS Siruseri and judging from that all their food must be amazing. Food wise it would totally be 5 star.

This is small shop having table of 3 or 4 only. But they are maintaining their brand taste. Cost is low comparing their other hotel branch. Very near to Tnagar bus depot to take parcel as well as dining.

Kanmani Mathialagan

This is one of the small outlet of Murugan Idly Shop. Went only once here during hot summer and had Jigarthanda. The Jigarthanda was very good, but too sweet. It is consistent in all outlets. No parking near by as this place is located in a busy street with more traffic.

This is a mini shop hence will be congested as it is nearby the T Nagar Bus stand and signal. Those who want to finish break quickly and go for shopping can opt here. Prices are somewhat lesser than the main Murugan Idly Shop. Taste is good.

The Idli was very tasty. The sambar that was served was not spicy and the coconut chutney was terribly mind blowing. I would recommend that you should try once

I have been a regular here for almost 10 years...I tell you, the taste of jigarthanda here is addicting, heavenly and the best. A small shop just opposite to tnagar bus terminal serving it's purpose perfectly. Whether you need to complete your shopping with filling your tummy with tasty TamilNadu Snack or you want to eat full before you start your journey from tnagar...This Shop is the best with Dosa, Idly etc with best taste at your budget. One of my all time favorite eat out .♥️

Limited menu, fast service. Their chutneys are good and so is their sambar which is placed in small SS bucket in all tables. Overall very happy.

On my second trip to Chennai my friend took me to Murugan idly shop express for dinner. I ordered a Butter podi masala dosai. It was delicious. The main star attraction in food was "Ghee Podi Idli". Oh my God it was ultimate. Idli just melted in my mouth. I rue the chance that I could have taken the pic. But I was busy in eating idlis. Both the dishes made their mark in my tongue. Restaurant was clean and proper decorum was maintained. Although the shop is small, so if you are the one who can adjust in small place eateries , then you would not be disappointed. Before you go there: They don't serve Any dosa in evening time (2-6pm), and varities are limited at this time.
