Review Sangeetha Veg Restaurant - Chennai

One of the best places to have South Indian Tiffins. Their Pongal with Gothsu combo is ultimate. We went there with a group and had Pongal (With Gothsu), Vada, Sambar Vada, Ghee Podi Dosa (GPD), Tea and Coffee. One of the few places who serve a quality tiffin in this area. While the ambience may not look so great, they keep the place clean. Definitely worth taking tiffins here. Wish the service could have been slightly better - especially when we asked more Gothsu, it's important that they serve with a happy frame of mind and face.

Food quality is good but lil spicy.. customer service was worst.. visited weekend for lunch but there was no proper response... Ambience needs a lot of improvement...

My recent visit to Hotel Sangeetha in Perambur, Chennai, was a pleasant experience. The environment was inviting, and I thoroughly enjoyed the food. The service was commendable, although there is room for improvement. Considering the overall experience, the cost seemed reasonable. With some minor enhancements in service, this place has the potential to be even better.

This vegetarian restaurant just opposite to Perambur Railway station is very busy owing to the location. Rates are reasonable but not the ambience. Food parcels are on the ready mode for takeaways as the space is limited. Taste is OK and served quickly. But parking only for two wheelers on the lanes.

We dined in the AC hall. Food quality was good. Cost little bit on the higher side. But not good service. All the food ordered were given at once and we were hurried up to vacate the place. The children were not able to drink the juice ordered. We had to finish off that and left with a irritating feel from the place.

A simple restaurant. Nice food. Pogal vada was good, though a bit disappointed with dosa as edge's were uncooked. Service was good, even he was ready to replace immediately. No parking area, a very small area for 2 wheelers available. Nice coffee. Overall Ok

Enjoyed their filter coffee twice today just like home taste 😋 even masala dosa was excellent, food quality is good but we need hygiene and hospitality too in a place we eat. Waiters and supervision need training and Improvement otherwise its going to be difficult in long run Good luck 👍

Need a lot of patience from our side, while ordering food they delivered with delay took half an hour time. Soups can be served with little hotter, rest of the food tastes every thing fine.

A very good pure veg restaurant in this locality. The restaurant is quite old school, food was good, service was ok, the restaurant is quite crowded and busy. Parking is a concern, especially for four-wheelers.

Nice food and tasty. Nominal price for all food items. Service is good and cashless payment is available. Overall nice and lively hygenic atmosphere.

Good though it's always crowded due to the presence of the railway station near by

I have ordered 2 veg fried rice and 1 sambhar rice but I have received 2 sambhar rice and 1 veg fried rice

I order regularly from sangeethas. Ordered plain uttappam because I had gastritis and received podi uttappam. Called the hotel, and they are like they will add "podi" to "plain" uttappam. Feeling irritated. Then y name it plain ?!

<br/>Located in the vicinity of Perambur Railway station. The restaurant serves vegetarian food. Tried their Paneer Butter Masala and naan. Packaging was good and delivered quickly. PBM was delivered super hot and tasted good. It had small chunks of scrumptious paneer. Quantity can be increased though for the price.<br/>

Quality of Taste is good. The service also seems to be good. The spending on the items severed here is quite little expensive to afford. Overall the Rating is Good.

Situated opposite to Perambur Railway Station, ordered meals through Zomato Rs.140/- for meals. The meals got delivered in just 20 minutes, neatly packed with Banana Leaf. The Meals had White Rice, Sambar(Pumpkin and Drumstick), Kara Kulambu, Rasam, Butter Milk, Cabbage Poriyal, Aviyal, Appalam and Pickle with Pine Apple Pudding. <br/><br/>Worth the money. <br/><br/>Location - 3.5/5.0; Food - 4.0/5.0; Service - 3.5/5.0; VFM -4.0/5.0

no cauliflower in dosa

One of the best places in Chennai to have wonderful and delicious South Indian cuisine. The taste is simple, remarkable and unforgettable. Quality is top and they have endless list of tasty food items.

Ordered dosa and vadai. They have mixed previous day sambar it seems. Very bad taste.. Had to eat only doas without sambar.. I have eaten more times in restaurant the sambar was good.

Good food and light on stomach...for the people who want to have south Indian food and also avoid that ghee dripping preparation should surely try eating at sangeetha.<br/><br/>In this scorching heat that awesome ac was first thing that made me happy and then came good food in 5 minutes of order.. we had ordered masala dosa, onion rava dosa and podi dosa plus curd vadai....rava onion dosa completely stood out as the winner.<br/>To my disappointment curd vadai was not sweet but still tasted good.<br/>Only thing I found fault was very small serving of sambar and chutney(very less)...had to repeatedly ask for extra.<br/><br/>Staff is good and courteous will b happy to assist if you are north Indian like me.<br/><br/>Parking is a bit issue but again they have staff who are managing it with smile on their face.<br/><br/>

I good restaurant chain in and around Chennai. They are also pocket friendly.. I tried vada sambar, sambar idly. Rava dosa was so crispy and also it is not burnt.<br/><br/>Must try is vedhiya dosa and vadacurry, but mandatory is filter coffee...

Visited their various outlets many times. But this review is for delivery. The high quality and standards of food shown by this restaurant during dine in are maintained even in the delivered food.<br/>Giving it 3 stars because, no matter how many times i complain the delivery from sangeetha is mostly late. Perhaps they have enough offline customers and hence not interested in focusing on online deliveries..

We order items listed in the menu with a hope that it will be available. But we receive a call from the restaurant very soon after placing the order that some item is unavailable. We are compelled to have another item which we don't like. We feel deceived.

One of the finest ghee mini idly for 50 bucks. Must try here.<br/>Also we have tried mushroom masala and naan which comes out as a good combination. Their falooda is very average. Need to improve the ice cream quality.

Ordered special meal. Variety of items and awesome taste. Served on banana leaf. You get the feel of eating actual South Indian dishes. Must try.

Today I have ordered a panner butter masala through zomato app which cost rs 220, but the quantity is not really worth for the cost & taste was also not soo good... I used to order in another non veg restaurant too were the cost of the same dish is only 180 & also quantity will be more than three times of this hotel.

Ordered Bajji and Bonda for evening snacks. Side dish is good but Bajji got overcooked it became brown so the taste wasn't good. Didn't expected a over fried dish from the restaurant.<br/><br/>

Visited this place while at Perambur durinf an official travel. Got mislead with the quality which I enjoy usually at Tnagar Sangeetha. There is obvious difference in the quality of food as well as in the taste.

We went on a crowded Sunday evening and disappointed with the poor service. It took ages to let us know that our ordered dishes were not available. The taste of the pooris and dosa were good.

Food is good - but all items  available are not listed under Zomato memu - if additional special items are  included in Zomato, then surely  business  will  double up.

When you cannot provide 25% discount.. why you still hold that offer in your main screen and that too accepting only cash...Today i really got disappointed with the way iam treated.. ordered for 217 in sangeetha restaurant (2 sambhar vada, one pongal and sapotta milkshake with vanilla icecream) and was told after discount amount to be paid is 172.75 as restaurant has promo of Rs.54.25.. initially it took long time even to accept the order ... After 15 mins iam getting call from zomato agent stating that i need to pay 217 in cash as there is discount in the amount and no offers as such..OMG... that was really really unacceptable...Asked whether the difference will be credited in my account and the agent informed that she will check with her senior, placed call on mute for 2 mins and finally line got disconnected... You guys fool us by showing discounts and finally asking to pay full amount..What kind of treatment is this and finally order was cancelled stating there is no delivery person.. is this fair?? If iam not getting proper reply will surely post it in my facebook page for the cheating done...Poor service and lack of ownership guys....

The only veg restaurant for my breakfast around the locality it's good, economical and served clean. The taste is same all the time delivery takes time if it's crowded but it's worth the waiting time.

Every time I visit any sangeetha, it's always for breakfast. Man, their poori and potato poriyal was very good, followed by a masala dosai and to finish with a coffee. I've never been disappointed after a visit here!<br/><br/>You gotta eat here!

This is one of best idly Sambr special hotel. Sambar is so elegant to have nice taste and we'll marked at our hearts..... I have ordered panner fried rice which was so yummy in taste

We were group of 8 around 3:30 we are looking for lunch we found sangeetha restaurant the moment we saw we went in side and ordered meals and mini meals the place was quite Maintained well with good hygiene and courtesy staffs we got our food with in 3 mins max curd rice and lemon rice was upto the mark then we ordered some fresh juices and some falooda it was good also costs around 1 k for all these stuffs not an expensive but we are satisfied with the food 🥘👍🏽👍🏽😀😀

Value for money. We are a regular at this place and have never had any issues (so far!!!!) in terms of service or quality of the food. They have an AC hall at the first floor where the ambiance is far better and is less crowded up there. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing veg restaurant in perambur near the railway station. Which cooks new stuffs and tastes good. The vendaiyam dosa is the one I like the most and the Sambar and their vathakolambu are really really yummyyyyy.

Too crowded as it is located opposite to Perambur Railway Station. I took a mini meal parcel. Taste of the food and packaging is really good but price seems little bit high for that quantity.

Great for south Indian vegetarian varieties. Please keep it that way.Don't like their curd vadai, it is tasteless.<br/>I recommend the ghee roast, it is terrific, super crunchy, cooked perfectly, giant size, ask for less ghee if you are worried about eating greasy foods.

Sambar , sambar vadai awesome..!! South Indian Meals super. They can give same concentration to north Indian food as they give to south indian dish. Exceptional taste when it comes to south indian dish. I recommend to all for south indian breakfast and meals.
