The first thing that struck me the most about the place was the orb lanterns hanging by the tenting roof and the lamp stands. The soothing lighting and the cosy furniture, with a wall decked up with sepia tinted photo frames render an air of comfort, class and a certain colonial vibe to it. Since this was a post lunch coffee visit, we restricted ourselves to just that. Latte paired with their signature melt-in-the-mouth Theobroma and the not so great Blue berry cheese cake(the cheese tasted more like kalakand to me!), provided us good company while we drowned ourselves in seemingly endless talk- things important and sundry. A leisurely visit to the cafe would be highly recommendable. Pic credits:Dr Shibani Saluja
Very classy place to dine in. The quality of food is great. The ambience is very nice. A relaxed atmosphere around with good selection of food and beverages on the menu.
I have been to chamiers many times and I am yet to get bored of this place.
The first thing about this place is the ambience which makes it look calm and peaceful.
This place is famous for brunches and you could opt this place if you are interested in english breakfast.
The latte here is good.
Evening cup of coffee with friends or someone special is also a good option.
Everything is perfect.
Food ambience staff are one of the best i the city
Ambience - 10/10
Food - 10/10
Hygiene - 10/10
One of the beautiful places I have ever been to. Delicious food and courteous staff. Must place to visit when in Chennai.
Chamiers was once upon a time my go to place during my college days. The place is much better known as Anokhi. I always loved to order the Cinnamon hot chocolate which instantly gives you energy and the Theobroma.
Recently along with a couple of my friends, visited Anokhi for English breakfast. The breakfast here gave me a feel of the Ikea breakfast that I used to frequently go back in Dubai. The spread consisted of scrambled eggs, baked beans, sauages, mushroom, toasted bread. Loved tye spread. We ordered hashbrown as add on. The service is good. Sightly on the higher side but definitely worth it.

I’ve been to Chamiers Cafe twice perhaps, and both the times I had a feeling that the service wasn’t very warm! In fact, I had a feeling they were partial to foreigners and celebrities. Over the years, in spite of all the eating out, I never really pushed myself to visit this place again. This morning, I was looking to have a Western Breakfast with my usual partner in crime and foodie friend, and one of the names that popped up was Chamiers Cafe! Quite skeptical, but still decided to check it out to see if something has changed for the better.
I have been here earlier and would visit them again.
The best place to have a continental breakfast or a brunch.
The American breakfast platter I had was good and filling. It came with soft and fluffy pancakes, eggs, toast, hash browns and coffee/ juice.
Pesto Pasta- They got the dish right and did not tamper it by adding Indian spices.
Veg delight pizza- thing and crip crust with good amount of veggies and cheese.
I had a good brunch on a weekend. Place so peaceful, I got to relish every bite I ate.
A must visit place for someone who doesn't mind spending more than usual for a good meal.
It's one of the elegant places for a mighty breakfast. I liked the decor which kind of reflected the ancient and the modern era. The food was great as expected. The service was great too.
Go to place! Either for work meetings or to just to hangout with friends. Love the vibe here + good food that you can kanna moodi (blindly trust) order anything on their menu! Cane chairs, floral wall papers, old photo frames add such a warm cozy charm to the space. The stores stock interesting knick knack, clothing & jewellery lines - sort of a wholesome brunch + shopping exp if you please;)
On the pricier side ofc, but wouldn't mind considering there is no other space like chamiers in the city!
Overall the food was so great, we tried the English and American breakfast which is so filling and pancake with syrup is must try. As posted in other reviews we tried the potato basket and the kids loved it. Portion could have been a bit more. But yeah must try place.
The place and the ambience is amazing ⚡️ I loved the Pasta bolognaise and chicken steak with salad 5/5 for the food.
The hotcocolate was okay ish and the cheese cake was also okay ish only :) 3.5/5 for deserts and drinks
The price is on the higher end, good for dates :P as the ambience is stunning
Parking space is there and literally in the main road, so easy to identify ;)
**Chamiers Café: Where Culinary Dreams Take Flight! 🍽️✨**
In the heart of Chennai's RA Puram, Chamiers Café beckons with a charming British-inspired vintage theme, luring patrons into a whimsical world of delightful flavors. This culinary haven promises an enchanting experience, seamlessly blending chic décor with an eclectic menu.
Embarking on a flavorful journey, I savored the Cheddar and Jalapeno waffles – a zesty delight accompanied by a symphony of maple syrup, butter, and ketchup. While the Chicken Double Decker Sandwich and Omelette with Toast were crowd-pleasers, the Choco Chip Pancakes left me yearning for a tad more sweetness. Chamiers Café's beverage lineup, featuring the acclaimed Cold Coffee, Hazelnut Latte, and a refreshing Lime Soda, stole the spotlight. As dessert beckoned, the Blueberry Cheesecake proved to be the perfect sweet finale. Despite the slightly steep prices, the diverse menu, stylish ambiance, and ample parking make this café a culinary escapade worth experiencing. 🚀💖
*"Charm your taste buds at Chamiers – where every bite tells a story!"*
Great place with old school cafe vibes. You feel like you have travelled back in time. Lovely food and courteous staff. Their breakfast/brunch menu is plentiful and they also have sumptuous options for your sweet cravings.
Amazing!!!! The food, the ambience, it was perfect. It is one of the best experiences of continental dishes in Chennai. The sea food risotto platter, *chef's kiss*!! Must visit!
Ambience is a perfect score. A victorian set up with nice jazz tune in the background. Makes me feel like in Paris for breakfast until I walk I got out of the building 😉. Latte was to a good standard. Unfortunately the waffle was a bit simplistic and the batter was too thick for me. Lacks the crispness in the outside and soft in the inside kind of texture. Necertheless will return and try other offerings in the menu.
Has a nice ambience. Pasta items are very nice, pizzas are a little disappointing. Food seems overpriced for the taste.
One of the classic cafes in chennai and I can't believe this is the first time I visited. Would 10/10 recommend it for the aesthetic and the food. (Get the potato basket, you will not regret it)
My undisputed favorite hang in town - whether it’s for a casual coffee catch up with friends or a full blown meal with the family. Chamiers’ unique character is evident in every nook and cranny of the cafe. The Anokhi store in the ground floor is an aesthetically curated boutique with frequently held exhibits from local artists and designers.
Dude at the entrance was pretty non-responsive when talked to. The food was good. Went for the aesthetic ambience.
