This is very small quick bite place suitable for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner.
Taste wise if worth for what you pay, economical and value for money is justified.
Ambience may not be great and it may make u feel uneasy. But seriously a pocket friendly destination.
I love their getting chutney as well.
This is one of the best place to have food within budget. May it be Tiffin or Lunch it’s worth for money more over the packing they do for swiggy or Uber is very perfect with no spill overs. Their chutney’s are best in taste and must try Masala Dosa
Amazing parottas. Ordered through #ubereats. The parottas were flaky, soft and yummmm 😋. The kurma which came along was a little disappointing. It can be made a little spicy.

I believe this is one of the under rated hotel . I ordered Pongal with vada this morning .. It’s really yummy and the price we pay is really worth it .. I don’t know why it’s not been given with 4+ ... May be I have to try more items and see how it tastes .. My first impression is excellent .. They chutneys are soo yummy and authentic.. I recommend this hotel for any South Indians and I am sure they will love it ..
Lovely Patnam Pakoda. Available from 11.00 am. None of the hotels provide this snack item, in such a way Udipl Ganesh bhavan provides. Rs. 40 for 4 nos. Lovely.

Hiding somewhere on green ways road. It's an underrated restaurant. They offer really good south Indian food. Most of their menu is very good, their onion medhu vadai and cholapoori is unique and very good. The one downside might be the hygiene.

Working at Adyar always is beneficiary with the number of restaurants available around.
Ordered from here, 2 masala dosa, 1 plain uthappam and 1 lemon rice - 184 total cost.
Masala dosa had enough masala left even after the dosa got over, usually my complaint is that there's no masala. But here there was enough, and it was tasty too. Loved the lemon rice too.
Good food for nominal price, what more is needed?
For someone coming from a different part of the country, this was a life saver. Sri Ganesh Bhavan Udipi offered authentic taste at excellent pricing. Despite language barrier a helpful and smiling staff came to my aid instantly. Neat and clean place, quick service and they accepted cards. I will choose this restaurant everytime and anytime above all the other places.
Very typical udipi joint with good taste and great value for money. It's an old joint and it will help them to modernise to keep up with the Passage of time

Not a famous or known hotel for others outside the vicinity. But I got really impressed by the food and taste .
So far tried Idly , dosa , Vadai. All good in taste and better quality.
Cost is slightly higher compared to other local hotels .
It's an Normal Good place to eat.. breakfast, lunch or dinner. It's simply a good place.
If you want to taste the best Pongal in the city, this is the place.
All other food are average only. But their Pongal is like a drop of heaven.
Also they have very great service. Way to go!

First time I visited, Suggest by friends... The only hotel have JAIN SAMBAR in north chennai... Taste, Quantity and price all are good...

This is the first time I had in this hotel since I have living in this area and I really wondered why I never had here before. Sometimes I just crave for early morning breakfast so I visited this hotel around 6:30 morning time, ordered pongal and vada and they served it really hot. Just enjoyed a lot having such hot and tasty breakfast early morning. It's typical old style South Indian restaurant so don't expect much from ambience but it was neat and clean. If you crave for early morning breakfast and won't mind about Ambience then you want visit this hotel.
More than 40 years old traditional Karnataka udipi style hotel. Moderator price. And famous here sambar idli.
